0:00When it comes to making money online, it seems like there are so many videos out there saying how easy it is to create a faceless YouTube channel using AI. Well, in today's video, I'm going to show you realistic results of my faceless YouTube channel after creating 84 videos, and uploading them to the channel. Now, not only will I walk you through my experience here on camera, but I'll also switch you over to my own computer,
0:19and show you all of this on screen recording. I will take you into my YouTube studio, and show you an unfiltered look at this business, I'll show you what I tried on this YouTube channel, what actually worked, what was a total waste of time, and I don't recommend doing, how this channel actually got demonetized, and how you can fix it, this is a huge part of this video of what you can avoid, so you don't get demonetized when you are creating a faceless channel, and then obviously how much money this channel has made overall,
0:43and if I think it's actually worth it. So guys, if you are thinking about starting a faceless YouTube channel, I highly recommend watching this video first, it will be extremely helpful, and save you a lot of headaches down the road. So with that being said, let's go ahead, and get straight into this video. All right, so switching over to the computer here, this is my channel called "Travel Ambience", it has 1,400 subscribers, 84 videos uploaded total,
1:03and this is a faceless YouTube channel in the travel niche. This will be a great example to explain a lot of things about faceless YouTube channels, and although this is in the travel niche, what we are going to talk about, there are a couple really big concepts that apply to all faceless YouTube channels. So no matter what niche you were in,
1:18you're going to get a lot of value from this. So first thing to talk about here is what types of videos did I upload and what worked. So to give you a general overview here, there are walking tour videos on this channel, there are tropical ambiance videos here, so these are videos of beaches or tropical areas, so people can listen to the waves in the background, they put on their TV or their computer, same things for the mountains instead of beaches, and then lastly, relaxing background music, this is music to put on the background,
1:44lo-fi music, things like that. Now, out of all of the videos on this channel, some of them were created in-person, actually going to the physical location and filming a video, and some of them were created with AI, or they were created by freelancers using copyright-free, commercially usable videos, stock footage. The biggest takeaway that I've learned from this whole experience is that in-person videos that I have recorded myself have performed way better
2:07than artificial intelligence or stock footage videos. It really didn't matter overall what the topic was of the video, if I recorded it myself on my own camera, YouTube just pushed it to so many more people, compared to if I created it with AI, or with that stock footage. Now, I can show you all of this on the YouTube Studio here, but I think more important to talk about just to keep giving you as much value as possible here is if you go over to analytics, we switched this to the lifetime of this channel, and I'm going to switch it to estimated revenue, this channel overall has made $524 and 22 cents,
2:38and this channel was started back in 2020. So it took about a year for this channel to get monetized, and once it did, it was doing great, making money totally passively, and then the channel got demonetized in 2023. Now, the reason for me making this video for you guys today is I have not logged into this channel since 2023, so I'm actually going to correct this, and put this back into the YouTube AdSense program, but I wanted to explain all this before I make these changes, so you guys can see all this
3:03as a case study and just learn from my mistakes. So the second key takeaway that I can share with you is that the reason that this channel got demonetized, if you go over to earn, this will show you if you are monetized or why you are not monetized, it is saying that is because of reused content. Guys, this goes hand in hand with what I was just talking about, videos that you have created yourself, you filmed on your own phone, your own camera,
3:24and uploaded, that's your own content. That's what YouTube really wants on their platform. Anything that you are reusing, whether that's stock footage or something that you've created with artificial intelligence, YouTube does not want on their platform. Now, YouTube talks about this openly, saying that if you create high-quality videos with artificial intelligence, that is okay, but they are trying to get rid
3:44of the AI slop videos on YouTube. Now, if you haven't heard of AI Slop, it's basically low quality videos created with text-to-video AI generators, there are just so many of these videos being uploaded nowadays to YouTube that they're trying to filter them off of their platform. The biggest way that they can do that
3:59is to demonetize those channels. That means that creators are paying for the AI software, but they're not making any money from that in return, so it makes no sense for them to continue uploading those videos to YouTube. So this channel specifically got demonetized for reused content, but if you are using artificial intelligence to create your videos and upload them on your faceless channel, you are likely going to hit with inauthentic content, that is basically for mass produced videos, that's YouTube's nice way of saying the AI slop, and with that being said, if you were trying to put time and money into building up a business, and you're going to do it this way by reusing content,
4:31or using AI to create that content, I do not see that as a very reliable long-term source of income. So the next thing that I can share that will hopefully give you some value here is what I'm going to do to get this channel re-monetized, well, what I'm going to do is go to content, and I'm going to select every video that was created with artificial intelligence, or with stock footage, and I'm going to actually delete those videos
4:51off of my channel. Now, once I've deleted those videos off the channel, and I'm left with just the videos that I have physically recorded myself, then I'm going to go back to earn, and I'm going to click on reapply, YouTube will then review my channel, and see that all of the videos on my channel are real videos, they are not reused, they are not the inauthentic content that's mass produced with AI, and then this channel will just be turned back on
5:12with YouTube AdSense. Now in regards to is this business worth it, well, let's go over to analytics, and actually look at this. So if we switch this to the lifetime of the channel, we switch it to estimated revenue, this channel has made $524 in ad revenue, but the really important thing here is that if you switch it to watch time, or views, you can see that this channel I haven't uploaded since 2022, and it is still consistently getting views,
5:33albeit it has slowed down, but this is four years later. We're in 2026 now. So if I had AdSense turned on all this time, we would just be making money all of this time passively in the background. So is it worth it? Well, my answer here is yes, absolutely. You can have multiple of these channels, I personally have several YouTube channels, and if you're creating these videos with your own smartphone or camera, so you're not paying a freelancer to create the videos, you're not paying for AI software, you can do all of this for free, and then once you stop posting, all of this just continues getting views
6:03long into the future, generating you passive income. Now the last thing that I'll share with you in this video is my recommendation if you are going to create a faceless YouTube channel, and that would be rather than going and watching the videos on what are the best niches, or the most profitable topics that you can create faceless YouTube channels on, and then using AI to create those videos, what I would recommend is you personally thinking, apart from all of those videos, what are topics that you like that you could see yourself
6:29giving value to people in videos. Now, I almost need to repeat this. Giving value to people in your videos is what YouTube is looking for. So what does that actually mean? Well, let me show you two examples here. If we go back to our content here, the number one viewed video on this channel
6:46delivered the most value. And what that is, is this was actually a totally faceless video, I didn't even talk in this video. I just used my smartphone to give a tour of the camper van that we had at the time. The value in this video, you can see in all of the comments, the bathroom setup is pure genius. I'm going to comment just to let you know
7:03that this is still being watched four years later. "Beautiful build, your toilet shower setup was interesting, very nice." Just by reading these comments, you can see the value that people got from watching the video. People were getting ideas from the layout of this camper, they were seeing inspiration for their own camper, that even though I wasn't talking or verbally sharing value in this video,
7:21I was showing value by giving people a tour of this setup. So another perfect example I can show you here is something like this, this is the Smoky Mountains in-person video, so this is actually going to the Smoky Mountains, and just filming the sunrise over the mountains, so people can put this on in the background, and the value in this video is that it takes people
7:39back to the Smoky Mountains. It gives 'em the feeling of being in the mountains without ever leaving their house, their computer, or their TV. So guys, that is how I would approach creating a faceless YouTube channel. Now, for those of you who know my background, I've been in online business for over 10 years, I have multiple YouTube channels among several other online businesses, so the last piece of advice I would give you if you are going to start a faceless YouTube channel
8:00is to integrate other ways to make money from your videos. For example, if I take you back to this first video we were talking about, that is a tour of this camper van, at different parts of this tour, I showed different products that were just kind of built into our camper that we found really useful,
8:13again, I didn't talk about them at all. I just kind of put up what it was on the screen, and just showed opening it and closing it basically, but what I could have done is down in the description of this video is I could have put in link to the butane camping stove from this video, and then have an affiliate link
8:27to that camping stove over on Amazon. What so many people don't know is that Amazon has an affiliate program, an affiliate program is basically a referral program, but Amazon is the largest affiliate program out there, and you can basically sign up for free, you can then get your unique referral links to any product on Amazon, and then as people click on that link, and they go make a purchase of that product on Amazon,
8:48you get a commission from Amazon. The price of the product doesn't change for the person purchasing it, but basically Amazon takes a percentage of their profit, and they give it to you for referring a buyer to Amazon. Guys, this is totally free to join, you can join it from anywhere in the world, it's called Amazon Associates, but essentially what I could have done in this video, and I probably should just do now is to put links to those products down
9:09in the description here. So anytime there was a product or something that can be purchased on Amazon, just have it listed out here with your affiliate link, and when someone clicks on that link, it will bring them over to Amazon, and they can make a purchase of that specific product you're talking about, and you will just automatically get
9:24a commission from Amazon. Now, there is so much that I can unpack about how to do this, but I don't wanna just cram it into this video specifically, so if you do wanna learn more about affiliate marketing with YouTube videos, I will put a link to another video down in the description below, it's a step-by-step tutorial here on YouTube, totally free to watch, but it goes more in-depth
9:41on how to do affiliate marketing on a YouTube channel. This can absolutely be done with a faceless YouTube channel, but that would be my recommendation for you if you're going to start a faceless YouTube channel, rather than focusing on creating your videos with AI. Guys, I really hope that this sends you down the right path of creating a faceless YouTube channel,
9:57and you've learned from my experience here. If you have any questions at all about this, just let me know down in the comments, I would be happy to help you out, and if you did enjoy this video, please just give it a thumbs up, let know down in the comments, as well. I would appreciate that. Guys, that is it for this video, I really hope it has been helpful,
10:11and I will see you all in the next video.
