0:00If you're looking for a complete tutorial on Grokbot, this is the video for you. My name is Charlie and I've been using Grokbot extensively both within my businesses and my personal life and I'll show you exactly how to use it. By the end of this video, you'll know exactly what Grokbot is, how it's different from the other platforms, how you can build your first AI teammate from scratch, give access to actual apps and put your agents on a schedule so
0:21they can actually work while you sleep. Grokbot is definitely one of the most beginner-friendly AI tools out there and that's why I love it so much. It is way less complicated. It actually feels like you're talking to your teammates who are down to work 24/7 and they actually have their own computers where they have their own web browser so you can see what they're actually doing. It is super super cool and I'm really excited to show you guys in this video. So, the first thing you'll want to do is go to
0:44x.ai/bot. This is where you can download the application for your computer. You can also learn a bit more about what you can actually do and of course the pricing page. So, this is not like a free app. You will need one of these plans at least. There are also different levels. So, for me I'm on the Grok Plus plan. This is $100 per month billed monthly but you can also get in for a lot cheaper. The only difference really is going to be how much usage you get. So, if you're a light user then one of the beginner plans is totally going to be good enough. Also, if you already have
1:13an eligible Cursor, Super Grok or Teams plan, Grokbot is actually included for free. So, guys go to the site, click on download and yeah, it's going to look something like this. Now, I'm in my account which already has a bunch of different bots here on the left and so for each of these bots that I've created, they all have their own different function or their own different role. And I think if you guys are starting with Grokbot, the first type of thing you should make is an executive assistant. So, I'll show you guys how to do this. So, all you have to do is click on this plus button right
1:42here. You're going to click on create new bot. Bot is now created. Now, you're going to name it. To name it, click on this right here. We'll name it executive assistant and then you can write a quick description right here. This is not that important but I wrote something like that and we'll leave this on to get notified when the bot switches or needs an input. And now we can just start chatting to it. The cool thing about Grok bot is that it's going to learn over time. So, you can chat with it just like you would with a person. So, as you can see, it's prompted us on what it
2:11should own. So, I'm going to, for example, say day-to-day ops right now. I'm also going to just talk to it. So, you are my executive assistant. Please help me with miscellaneous tasks. From there on, you can just start giving it tasks. And the cool thing is that over time it's going to learn the things that you like. It's going to build routines for you if you ask it to. You'll have access to all your different accounts, and it's just a really cool beginner-friendly AI platform. So, what I would do first is click on your name here on the bottom left. We're going to go to settings. Feel free to play around
2:42with all of these. Here you can see your usage and billing. So, once this reaches 100%, you won't be able to use it until it resets or you pay for more usage. Here you can update your app as well as your Grok bot's computer. Yeah, every once in a while, since it is running its own Linux computer, you will want to update it. You can also reset the computer if you need if you get stuck, but I don't recommend doing this too often. Now, one of the first things I recommend doing is connecting all your accounts, and there are a bunch of different ways to do this. First, you
3:08can do it directly within Grok bot. So, you can say something like this, connect my email accounts. Let's start with Gmail. Since this is my account, my Gmail has already been connected, but let's see what it says. So, I'll click on add another Gmail just to show you guys. Let's call it work. And now you're going to click on this to actually add and log into your account. You can do this individually for all of your different accounts directly within the chat, and it doesn't really matter which bot you use. They all share the same Linux computer, but they have their different workspaces if that makes
3:38sense. Another really good way to connect all your tools is with some type of MCP tool. So, there are a bunch you guys can use. I recommend something like Compozio or Zapier. With that, you just need to connect your Compozio account one single time, and within your Compozio account, that is where you add all your different tools. This is honestly probably the best way to do it, and it's what I recommend if you have a ton of different logins and things you want to connect. Otherwise, if you don't have too many, you can just do it directly within Grok Bot. Now, like I said, over here is going to be your
4:07roster of teammates, and as you build more and more, this list is going to get longer. Whenever you click on one of these teammates, you're going to see your conversation thread with them, and of course, you'll be able to give them tasks, see what they're doing, all that stuff. One of the really cool things about Grok Bot is that each of your team members has their own screen. So, what I can do is click on this screen right here. It's going to start up their desktop, and I can actually see what they are currently doing. Now, it's not currently doing anything right now, but as you can see, I can open up Google
4:36Chrome, and I can actually do stuff on that team member's computer. So, for example, if I go to gmail.com, I can log in, I can do a bunch of stuff, and this is really where it gets cool because you can treat this person as like a person with a computer, right? They can do a bunch of tasks for you. They can literally be your assistant. As long as they're logged into, let's say, your Gmail or to your workspace or to your other platforms, they can do real-life stuff for you. For example, I've had my Grok Bot assistant, I've had it place orders on Amazon, I've had it download
5:08different documents, fill them out. It can do all of this because it has its own computer. Another really cool thing is that you can actually teach it a task. So, if you come up here to the top right and click on this button, you can actually start doing a task, and it's going to be watching and learning. So, like I said, your Grok Bot gets better and smarter over time, and you can directly teach it by doing stuff within its own computer. So, I'm going to exit out of this, and let me give it a very simple task. So, find me the three best sound bars to buy right now that are
5:36under $500. I prefer to shop on Amazon. I'll say, "Do this on your computer so I can see it." It doesn't do this on its desktop every single time, but I just want to show you guys how it works directly on its screen. Cool. so now it's on Amazon. It's searched up soundbar. I assume what it's going to do is go and see which ones have the best reviews. And yeah, if you want to log in to your Amazon account and actually give it, you know, permission to buy things, it can absolutely do that. So essentially, you can basically multitask, talk to all of your different
6:04teammates one after another, and just have a bunch of different things going on at the same time. Now, if you guys have a business, I also recommend having some type of chief of staff. This is going to be like your head of operations who helps coordinate with all your other different bots. And what you guys will see is that every single bot should have some specific thing it owns, besides of course the EA, the executive assistant, as well as the chief of staff. So, I can create a new bot and call it something like researcher. And the main purpose for this bot is going to be doing
6:32research on whatever topics I give it. Researcher one. You can even have multiple researchers if you want. And one of the really cool things about Grok Bot is that your agents can talk to one another. So, let's say your executive assistant needs something from researcher one, it can actually message it on its own accord, have researcher one do something, and then researcher one is going to message your executive assistant back. I see my agents talking to each other all the time. It's very cool. It definitely feels like you have a team that's like an actual team working together. And it's very, very intuitive, right? Like I think with a
7:03lot of AI platforms, it can get a little bit confusing on what's happening. You always feel like you need to put your own input for stuff to be happening. But with Grok Bot, stuff can be happening all the time. Your agents are talking to one another, and it's just very, very cool. Now, I'm going to go back to my own EA since this one has a bit more stuff in it. On the right here, you can see I have three different routines. I have a weekday morning brief. I have
7:24this right here, and I have another one. So, as you use your Grok Bot, you can create different routines that run on different schedules. So, for example, I can say something like this. Every morning at 9:00 a.m., look through my Slack and email and send me a report. From this, it's going to create a routine, and on the right side, you'll be able to see all the routines for that particular bot. So, most of my bots do have routines, and this is very important because you want to tell it to do things every time you want it to do something, right? You want it to run on
7:54a schedule, just like a real employee. And when that happens, it becomes like this whole automated system. You can even chat with your executive assistant, ask it, "Hey, what types of routines do you think I should give you?" And it'll suggest them. Just have a very natural conversation with your executive assistant, tell it about your life, what you do, your routines, and it's going to suggest how it can help. Now, I also want to talk about what types of bots I have for my business. I recommend having a finance bot. So, this is going to be in charge of all finance stuff. With this bot, you can have it chase
8:24invoices, you can have it email clients, you can give it access to your QuickBooks, and it can send you big financial reports. I also have a bot that helps with my newsletters, so it helps to actually log into Beehiiv, which is the platform I use, help draft things up, it can even write things. Now, I set it up so that I can actually go out and find news and articles to put within my newsletter. I also have an assistant for one of my other companies,
8:47which is an overseas recruiting company. I have a content strategist bot. I have multiple research bots. I have a LinkedIn outreach bot. And yeah, the list goes on. The number of bots you have really depends on how complex your businesses are or how complex your life is, but you can basically create as many bots as you want. Coming back here to our executive assistant, so it's given us three different soundbars with links to each one. I can, of course, also see my executive assistant's screen. It's
9:14currently on this soundbar right here. So, yeah, I can sign in to Amazon, and I can just tell it, "Okay, buy this one right here and send it to this address." It's quite smart. It definitely moves slower than a real human, but it will get things done. I've even had my Grok bot go to the, you know, help chat bar and talk to customer service agents on my behalf. So, it will literally talk to them, and I just need to tell it what I want it to say and do. Now, I want to show you guys the marketplace. So, if you guys click right here, you guys can
9:40see there are different bots that you guys can actually import into your own account. For example, this is a very cool one, Doctor Eggbot. If I click on this, it's going to give its description. So, as you can see, this one designs high-quality Grok bots. It's going to ask you some questions and then it's going to actually create them for you. So, yeah, this is something that you guys can do if you want some help creating your bots. Now, all you have to
10:01do is click on import bot right here. This is also where you see your featured plugins. So, if you want to connect to Gmail or Google Drive or Google Calendar directly, this is where you're going to do that. So, if I click here, view all, here you can see I can add Slack, I can add Notion, and it's just very easy. You just log in with your credentials. You can even connect a password manager. So, if you want, you know, Grok bot to be able to log in to things without you having to enter it yourself. Don't worry, it never really shares the password with the bot itself. It's all
10:31done very securely. So, yeah, I'd recommend just looking through these, see which apps you use, and you can connect them directly in here. Or, like I said before, you can connect them directly within Composio. Now, you can also create different threads. So, if I click this plus button right here, I can create a group chat. So, let's say I want to add my executive assistant, I want to add finance, and I want to add my COO. So, I can say something like this, "Do we have any outstanding invoices? If so, let's coordinate on how we can get them paid." So, this involves my executive assistant, my finance
11:00person, and my COO. Now, you'll see this thread right here where all of your bots live. So, I can access this chat whenever I want. If I want to talk to all three of these bots at the same time, this is where I'm going to go for that. I find this is mostly helpful for visibility, right? because if you talk to, let's say, your executive assistant by itself, it may talk to your finance person, have its own chats. You don't really see that. So, if you want to see all the messages between these bots together in one place, that's why you would do this. So, as you can see, it's
11:28asked, "Finance, can you pull the open accounts receivables from QuickBooks?" I'm not going to show you this whole process, but this is just one example of how you guys can use group threads. So, I'm back here in my executive assistant, since I think this will be applicable for most of you guys. Since my Gmail is connected, I'm going to have it send an email. So, I'm going to actually say, "Any emails I should respond to? Brief me." It's going to go into my Gmail, see if there are any unresponded emails, and I can actually handle all my emails directly within Grockit. Okay, so as you can see, I have four different things
11:58that I can actually respond to. I'm going to say this, "Reply to Lisa saying thanks." Of course, most emails you're probably going to send are a bit more complicated, but I just want to show you guys. And as you can see, it's now sending Lisa a quick thanks on that thread. So, yeah, instead of logging into your email, you can actually do everything right here, and I think that's really cool. Now, I did mention this, but all of your bots share one cloud computer. It shares the same files, the same browser, the same logins. So, if one bot is logged into your email, then every single other bot
12:26can also reach it. You can tell certain bots not to do particular things or access particular accounts, but just know that that is the tech setup right now. Besides that, using Grockit is very similar to using any other AI platform. You can ask it miscellaneous questions, you can have it do research, you can use it as a tutor, a mentor, a therapist, anything. What differs is really the layout and how you actually talk to your agents. The reason why I use Grockit is
12:51because for me, it's the most intuitive. It actually feels like I am talking to a bunch of team members. And since each of them has their own screen, you can actually have it do a lot of tasks that are not possible in other platforms. So many of these tasks I would have had to hire an actual person to handle them for me, but it's just so cool because Grockit can actually do stuff. Like I guarantee you if you guys download Grockit right now, you will find a bunch of use cases for your life or your business, and it's going to save you a ton of time. That's all I really wanted
13:20to cover in this beginner video for Grockit. If you guys want to learn more about AI, I do have a free school community, so I will link that down below.
