0:00Grok Bot videos are everywhere right now. “I built a $200-a-day business.” “Seven ways to make $3,900 a month.” Even “I gave Grok Bot $100,000 of my real money.” So I went through the biggest ones, and checked every money claim against xAI's own pages. The answer: in the transcripts, not one of them reports money that

0:21Grok Bot actually earned. The biggest numbers are goals, said out loud before anything happened. This is Frame the Claim. Let's follow the receipts. The receipts are the videos themselves, and xAI's own launch post, docs, pricing and terms. First, what Grok Bot actually is. xAI launched it in beta on August 11th. Its own words: “Grok Bot is your team of always-on agents.” Bots that get their own cloud computer,

0:49sign in to your apps, and work while your laptop is closed. And the examples xAI gives? Processing invoices from your email. Updating sales notes. Drafting follow-ups. Useful work. But xAI's own launch post says nothing about making you money. So where do the numbers come from? Let's take the biggest one. “How I built a $200-a-day business with Grok Bot.”

1:1152,000 views in eight days. The title says built. Listen to how the video ends: “Seven days from now, we are going to come back and see how close to this goal we actually are, of making $200 a day.” So the $200 is a goal. The creator has posted eight videos since. None of them is the results video.

1:31The $3,900 video? Same creator. Same move. Seven bots, built “hopefully so that we can generate up to” that number. And the ending: if you want to see how much money we made, leave a comment. Then there's “How to easily make $1,000 a month.” It opens with “If I had six hours to make $1,000 a month, this is exactly how I would do it.”

1:52Would. The plan is a cold email agency: sign two clients at $500 each. And the creator says the quiet part out loud. You have to sit in front of a business owner and sell the service. “That is the hardest part of all of this.” Grok Bot doesn't do that part. You do. Even the cost is off. That video says Grok Bot's cheapest plan is “like $19 a month.” On Cursor's own pricing page, the cheapest plan that includes Grok Bot

2:19is $30 a month. The $8 plan doesn't include it. And xAI's FAQ says heavy use can add on-demand charges on top. Case closed? Not quite. Because two of these videos say real money moved. One founder says a bot cancelled their subscriptions and dropped their bill from $500 a month to $300. That's believable. Cancelling things is exactly the kind of chore an agent can do. But the same video claims the bot “saved me more than $100,000.”

2:48The only example it walks through is that $200 a month. And the $100,000 trading video? It's real orders, through a real broker. But it's day one. No results. One stock already down 16%, and the creator asks the bot to leave it alone until they check. Here's what xAI's own fine print says about that.

3:08Its safety docs say to keep purchases and financial transfers behind your approval. They say an approval “does not reverse work already completed.” And xAI's terms, updated October 12th, say: “You are responsible and accept liability for” the actions you direct. So if a bot spends your money, that's on you, not xAI. One more thing to watch.

3:30Search Grok Bot and you'll also find Grok trading bots and Grok crypto platforms. Those links go to other websites, not x.ai. xAI's own Grok Bot page lists no trading product at all. So no. Nobody in these videos shows Grok Bot making them money. They show a tool doing chores, and a plan for selling something to someone.

3:50The selling is still you. If this was useful so far, please subscribe, like the video, and leave a comment! It really helps out the channel. It's something I really appreciate. Verdict time. On the Hype-o-meter. The headline: Grok Bot makes you money on autopilot. That's a nine. The reality: Grok Bot is a real agent that does real chores,

4:11and it might trim a few bills. But in these videos, every income number is a goal or a “would,” the big savings claim comes with one small example, and the trading test has no results yet. That's a two. For another big number that fell apart the moment we asked “of what?”, our PHP2Shell episode is on screen now.
