This is the full transcript of Grok Bot is managing my YouTube channel, published on YouTube by Matt Palmer. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.

0:00It takes videos from YouTube, transcribes them, gets the timestamps, uh, gets the description based on my brand voice, and then it can also upload, um, and manage the thumbnails. So that video I just showed you was one of 2 that I recently made. It took the raw video. Basically what I did was I had my video uploaded here in a draft state, and so it pulled the video MP4 down, then It transcribed the video using AssemblyAI.

0:32I gave it my AssemblyAI API key, and I just said, hey, build a system for transcribing video. It added an appropriate title based on the transcription, and then it populated the description with timestamps and a template that I use for all my descriptions. So I was able to populate a skill that taught this bot how to populate the description.

0:53Okay, so today I'm excited to show you how I'm using Grok Bot to automate all of my YouTube video tagging. So typically when I finish a video, um, there's still some work to do. So in front of me, I have a polished YouTube video. It has a title, it has a description, um, it has a thumbnail, but typically all this stuff's blank by the time I finish the video.

1:13And then I have to populate this information. Now I've built up some flows in the past for dropping a video in, getting a transcript from that video. Maybe you're familiar with transcription services, then you have to take that transcript You have to put it in AI, you have to get timestamps, you have to make sure it sounds like you.

1:28What I've built out in Grok Bot is a flow that just populates all of this from the get-go. So I want to show it to you, and then I'm going to show you a template that I built so you can add this to your bots in one click. So what my Media Manager bot does is it takes videos from YouTube, transcribes them, gets the timestamps, uh, gets the description based on my brand voice.

1:52And then it can also upload and manage the thumbnails. So that video I just showed you was one of 2 that I recently made. It took the raw video. Basically what I did was I had my video uploaded here in a draft state, and so it pulled the video MP4 down. Then it transcribed the video using AssemblyAI.

2:16I gave it my AssemblyAI API key, and I just said, hey, build a system for transcribing video. It added an appropriate title based on the transcription, and then it populated the description, um, with timestamps and a template that I use for all my descriptions. So I was able to populate a skill that taught this bot how to, um, populate the description.

2:38From there, I actually keep all my thumbnails in Figma. So I sent over the Figma links in my original message. I said, hey, here are, um, the Figma links, and you can see the prompt. There are 2 videos staged. Look at a few of the recent Grok Bot videos for an idea of how descriptions should work.

2:54Rewrite it and update their tone with my skill. Then come up with titles, update all details, and add these thumbnails. So it just did it. It did everything that I would normally do. And now that I've taught this bot how to manage my social media, I can just upload videos to YouTube, paste in Figma links.

3:12Eventually, I think I can just tell it to update the thumbnails in Figma, because all I'm really doing in Figma is maybe duplicating this image, changing the bottom title, and then adjusting the background with some other templates that I have. So theoretically, I could also have it make the title cards because it's really good at manipulating Figma, as you'll see in some of the other content that I'm sharing out.

3:37And so really, just like that, I built something that could automate this end to end, and just A year ago, just a few months ago, I tried to do exactly this flow and I was unable to do it. So I'll have this as a template in the video description. One thing to note, a few things for the template.

3:52You need to have, um, Google Cloud Project enabled because this template uses, um, some YouTube Data APIs. If that's a little complicated for you, you can configure this to work all through the browser. Just be careful there, um, because the agent will be using the browser. I'd prefer the agent use the YouTube Data API.

4:11Again, you'll need Google Cloud Project access. What you can do is just ask the bot, say, you know, help me configure GCP access for this project. And it'll tell you everything you need to get done. But if you're willing to cut an Assembly API key, if you're willing to set up a Google Cloud Project, you can have exactly the same workflow.

4:34And all you have to do is click the template to install this into your Grok Bot and get started. This is another way that I'm using Grok Bot to automate some of the social media work that I do, some of the marketing work that I do, and I've been loving it so far. But I'm Matt with SpaceXAI, and this has been how I'm using Grok Bot to tag my videos on YouTube.

4:51Until next time, peace.
