How I Made $11,435 in 7 Days with Skool

And actually in the self-improvement niche, we are number 15, which is mindblowing. So, in this video, I'm going to be breaking down how I did that and just going through transparently as possible the process that I went through to build this school community. So, maybe some of you guys out there can do the same, take some inspiration from that because I think

So, to give you guys a little bit of context, I purchased the $6,000 upsell from Alex Horoszi and as part of it was a free trial to school and I made this video here talking about it. Now, the full story is already out on the YouTube channel. I suggest you go and check that out. But essentially, a friend of mine told me, "Mate, what are you doing? You

1:10need to be making content about this." because I was sharing all of this stuff in a private group. So, I just turned the camera on, decided to just create a quick video as if I was talking to a friend and this was the result. Hide suggested communities. Not sure what that is. Anyway, so I've signed up.

1:28Why not? If you want access, let's see. So, that was it. I didn't even post a link. people started joining this school group by typing this URL into the search bar and joining and all of a sudden I had a school group and so I left I then went back to this and I left the link here and then I started building the school group and then before I knew it we had 4,000 people in this group. Now this all just kind of happened by

2:01accident. um I was at the right place at the right time and I took action and I decided to let go of all of my perfectionism and just ship it. And that's kind of the the idea of of this actually this group here is that the idea is that everybody in here ships one meaningful piece of content every single day. We help each hold each other accountable and we learn and we grow together and we share um insights. And obviously I'm in the 18K upsell and so I'm going to do my very best to add as many insights as I possibly can. Um we have over 100

2:38members in here which is mindblowing. I'll leave a link to this group in the description. Um there's a ton of value that you guys can get from this. Anyway, so coming back to a little bit more context now. People started joining without me prompting them. And so what I did was as part of the $6,000 upsell into the the Homozi uh $100 million money models book launch, I got acquisition.com, ACQAI, which is his proprietary um AI business advisor, he calls it. And I actually tracked down the thread where I made a video going, I have a YouTube channel where many of the videos I'm creating are doing pretty well. Uh, one

3:21of them popped off, got over 20K. So, that's this one here. Uh, a couple more did did pretty well. I'm already have a school community of 1,800 people in it. Obviously, this is uh more than a week and a half ago. I'd like to I'd like you to tell me the best ways to monetize it and turn it into a sustainable business while adding as much value as possible as if you were Alex Homozi. Because at this stage, people were asking me, do I have a paid thing? Like, do I have any content that I can share? Do I have uh you know, is there a way that they can get one-on-

3:56ones with me? And so, kind of as as uh Horoszi talks about give, give give until they ask, right? And so essentially if we boil down what happened was there was a tension online that I managed to tap into. So if I have a look here at Google trends you can see that now this is all just kind of by accident. It was that perfect vin diagram of uh something that I was interested in something that I had unique knowledge about and that I had uh that I that I was the only one that had access to it. me and you know a small group of people and so people were

4:36searching for it and they were intrigued by it and I created a piece of content. It went out there and there happened to be an enormous amount of search volume. You can see I started the I posted the video on the 18th I believe and we peaked at the 17th and so it was kind of the pinnacle of the the conversation on money Twitter and on the internet and YouTube. So, lots of search traffic and all I did all I did was without even realizing it tap into that search traffic and and you know siphon a bunch of views and people resonated with my message. And so the steps that I took,

5:13you know, I don't know if this is duplicatable for you, but I'm certainly going to continue growing this group until we get to 10K MR. That's the goal. And then document the whole journey. So, if you want to follow along, make sure you subscribe. But essentially I captured this attention drove traffic from YouTube, Instagram, Twitter um and even I will add a a little banner on my website if people want to join the the the free school group. That was actually a really fantastic insight that I heard from uh Sam Ovenans on the school news broadcast the last couple days. I was listening to that how how to grow school

5:52and they were saying one of the simplest things you can do is just share the link in bio talk about the school group screen show the the school group show what's inside give a call to action like it doesn't sound that difficult and um you can see here what I did was I tripled down or doubled down on on the content I created two videos a day adding as much value as I possibly Like these took me hours and hours and hours each video. And so you can hear that I'm a little bit sick now because I basically didn't sleep for the last two weeks. And just while I'm still

6:31doing my full-time servicing clients, doing all the rest of it, I'm pumping out two videos and each video is taking me 2 or 3 hours at least to organize it and then another 40 minutes to an hour to to film it and then like another 40 minutes to package it. So just trying to add as much value as possible and um get and like ship as many things as I possibly could because this is like I understood that this is not going to happen every day, right? And it was a a special moment in time that I wanted to make sure that I capitalized on. And so

7:04all I did was I shared my story. My story was that for years I have been held back and from reaching my full potential because of this idea of perfectionism. This idea of I'll wait until the perfect conditions. And really when I when I sort of analyzed it, it boiled down to me being um afraid of what other people would say

7:32if I put something out that was subpar. And Homozi talks about this a lot where even he struggled with the the the fear of opinion of others that he almost didn't sell his businesses because he was afraid of what one person might think and it might be not enough to impress him. And then he said he's giving all this power to his li over his life and hundreds of millions of dollars literally to one dude who probably doesn't think twice about him. And that's so ridiculous. And so there wasn't even a particular person that I

8:06was worried that might see these things. It's just the general it's just such a ridiculous thing when you really like go through first principles and and try to boil it down like okay well what's going to happen if that person thinks that thing and then and so what and you know and so going through that process in my mind when my friend told me just turn the camera on and just start filming like and then trying to go okay instead of me putting this out into the quote world into the YouTube's uh I'm just going to create this video for a friend And so right now as I'm making this

8:39video, I'm thinking about me in your position uh two weeks ago and how much I needed to hear this message. And so I'm not putting this out to reach thousands of people. In my mind, I'm thinking I'm making this video for me two weeks ago. I'm making this video for a friend to say, "Hey, uh, pick up the camera and start filming content. Just ship something. Put it out there. you will find your people. The algorithm is good enough to do that, right? And so I just tried for like, you know, the first time in my life, if I go back through my the some of the other

9:16content that's on my channel, you can see that it's all a lot of it is is heavily scripted except from the recent ones like you know this one for example, script framework to write it. So you can just copy me because just one killer ad is like a legal perfect lighting, lots of fancy music, lots of cutaways, uh like lots of lots of heavy editing, but no one cares. So the first time that I was authentic and genuine, we got, you know, 20,000 views on a video. And so, you know, I want to that's kind of my story and and I want to challenge any of

9:59you guys out there to just kind of if you've been sitting on the fence thinking about shipping something out there and you're afraid of what other people are going to say, so what? No one cares. No one cares. All I've gotten is respect and um congratulations and admiration from my peers and it's it's a wonderful thing. And so I've been able to connect with 4,000 other people in this group here. I've been able to connect with uh more than a hundred people here. And like look at some of the like look some of the wins inside this inside this channel are

10:34outrageous. Daniel is crushing it. Carlos is crushing it. Nick is crushing it. You know, we have so many different people in here who are doing amazing things, who are who are committed to doing 100 days of shipping a piece of meaningful work out into the world, letting it go, and building their business and reaching their full potential. And so, you never know what snowballs you're going to start unless you start them. And all the people all the people out there that resonate with this message, thank you guys so much for joining. there's no chance that I would be uh in this position without you. And I'm humbled

11:12and grateful that you've uh you've looked to me for for some kind of guidance and leadership. And and I'm going to do my very best to make this group my my inner circle, main priority, just like 100x the value of what you guys have paid. And if I look at a bunch of other school groups, I see that all they do is they they they gate uh a whole bunch of like maybe more tangible value behind a pay wall. And so once people come in, they extract the value and they leave, you know, um and and there isn't so much of what I what I would call like a purpose, you know, people want to be part of something bigger than themselves and if there isn't a culture and like the culture again in the shipping society is just outrageous. Everybody is helping people. I saw in some comments earlier

12:13today that somebody said that they were struggling with cold outreach and some guy said he's had a bunch of experience and he's happy to get on a call and and walk him through completely free of charge and just show him what's worked for him. Like where else do you find that on the internet? You know what I mean? Like this is outrageous. And so when you bring to people together who all share the same beliefs, who are all driven by the same purpose, you get

12:34something pretty magical. And so I guess people resonated with that. And then through this process of pumping out just as much value as I possibly can and leaving nothing on the field and just going 110%, you know, and sleeping 4 hours a night. People people were saying, I suggested this piece of content 12 hours ago and you've already made two videos about it. Oh my god, do you ever sleep? The answer is no. For for that period, no. And you know, but it's worth it at the end of the day. So, um, put out as much value as I possibly could

13:08and give, give, give until they ask. Like, I just started the free group. Well, I started the group by accident and then the free group just started to snowball and I just started pumping out more value and more content. And it was only around 2,000 members did I go back to ACQAI and be like, I can actually make a video about asking ACQAI how to grow the school group. And then I can document the whole thing and use me as a case study, right? And then um instead of me and again this is something that I see so many entrepreneurs struggle with and business owners and uh it's

13:41something that I've struggled with before in the past as well. Like oh god I could tell you some stories for hours about the ridiculous things that I did and the amount of the hundreds of hours and the thousands of dollars I wasted building something that nobody cared about. And so I'm never doing that again. And I beg and plead that if anybody is listening out there and they want to start a school community but they don't know what it is, just ship something. Put an MVP out there. Go what, you know, go through the icky guy um ven diagram. What what what are you good at? What do you have unique

14:15abilities around? Uh what sort of value can you add to the world? What need is there? And like the you know the perfect center. It doesn't need to be It doesn't need to be grand slam $und00 million offer. It just needs to be an MVP. It just needs to be step one. Okay. Like, if you've got a rough idea, just ship something, free group, pray, paid group, whatever. just put something together because this community has already shifted my whole perspective on on creating value

15:04in the world and it it's like I say it's it's humbled me beyond belief and it's changed my life quite honestly. So, I know it can do the same for you, but it only happens if you take action. And if you're sitting like in this analysis paralysis place where you don't know what to ship, just put something

15:23out there that's an MVP. No one cares. No one's going to remember. And you can always delete it. You know, that was that was in the back of my mind actually before when I put this video out. I'm like, "All right, I'm going to make this video. I'm going to ship it and I'm going to send it to my friend." And actually, I he was the only person I linked it to. I, you know, I put it out there on on YouTube and I just created a crappy thumbnail. But I thought if people hate this or I'm like sharing something that I shouldn't be sharing,

15:51uh, you know, I'll just delete it. What's the worst that can happen? And so, start with an MVP. See if the market wants it first. And so, the shipping society, you can see that the classroom is pretty bare. There's a there's a couple of things in here, but there's not a ton. The main value people are getting is that it's a community of of winners, doers, and shippers. We're all we're all keeping each other accountable, and the stuff that's coming is the stuff that they're

16:18excited about. And um so, ship something, ship an MVP, see what the market wants first. Yesterday I had an hour and a half long call with uh a big group of the people where I presented a little bit of a workshop and set some expectations and I asked them questions around what sorts of of content they need and what sorts of things they're struggling with and I'll just go and create the content and solutions around the problems that they have. Whereas creating all of that stuff before shipping anything is so silly. So please don't do that. And then what I

16:54did was I pre-sold access at 50% off. So, these guys got a fantastic deal. They got a founders pass access and they got a bunch of free goodies and stuff that's never going to be available again. And now the price has gone up to to $99 and it'll continue to rise every time people join. And so, um, you know, they got in at a fantastic rate, but they got in at a free, uh, at a pre-sale. And so, I went through here and I asked, you know, what sorts of things can I do? And I basically just

17:23followed this almost exactly. I I basically followed this almost exactly. And so I try not to over complicate things. And the result has been, you know, like I showed you earlier, $5,000 of MRR. And this is only going to go up. Um we are number well in discovery 93 and then in growth 15 in the world. W so crazy. And then the um

18:00cash collected is $11,000. And so it's just like mind-blowing. You know, if there's anybody out there who's thinking about starting something like this and giving it a go, I think the most important thing, like I said in the video yesterday that I put out, is just to take action. Take action when you feel like it. Take action when you don't feel like it. And realize that moments like this that I experience come around once a year, once every few years. And so if you don't if you don't have that um if you don't have it in you, you don't have that muscle exercise to take that massive action,

18:41then you're going to let it pass and uh you're going to be kicking yourself and in a couple years you'd be thinking, "Ah, what if I even had somebody comment on my videos and they got into the group and they said, "I bought the $6,000 upsell and I wanted to make content about it, but I hesitated and I didn't." And so, thank you for doing this and putting it out there and being an example. And so, like, stuff like that still humbles me and it's just ridiculous. Like, gives me goosebumps to think about. So,
