Grok Bot Just Got 11 MASSIVE Updates (How to Turn Them On)

We're going to show you how to turn them on or take advantage of them, and more importantly, making sure that you're up to date with everything that's going on so you can be as effective as you possibly can inside of Grok Bot itself. 0:19these. First and foremost, your primary bot. So, a lot of you that are using Grok Bot now, when you log in next time, it's going to ask you to pick a primary bot. Now, if you watched our install video, you remember that what we did is we included our chief of staff as being the main operator that we operate in, and we even showed you how to make that primary so then you can always talk to that one individual bot, and then that dictates which bot it uses going forward. Well, now you have the ability of making that your primary bot. Nothing to actually switch on. You will actually be prompted

0:53to do this when you first come on, but you need to make sure that you will update to the latest Grok Bot model. Now, a lot of people have been struggling on like where to update, so I'm just going to come over here, and I'm going to show you if we go to your little area down here, and you go to your settings, there's your updates right here, and it says version 6.66, and it's already look, it's already ready restart to apply. So, I'm going to actually do that right now so you guys can see it. So, again, I clicked on my name, I went into updates, and again, I

1:25want to always update to the latest model. So, I'm going to go ahead and restart to update, and I'm going to hit yes, and in your Grok Bot, you're going to want to do the same thing as we go through this update video to ensure that you're going to be getting access to some of the things that we're going to discuss in here because a lot of these are going to be only on the newer models, so you want to make sure you have it here. Now, as you can see, we have a lot of things directly in here, and you have my chief of staff, and you

1:48notice that it's got this little star. That means I've dedicated this one to be my actual agent that's running all my accounts, and that's what I want to make sure you have. That being the first one, I made my chief of staff. You could call your command center, or you can give it a name, you can give it an image, but I try to keep it very minimal [snorts] so

Now, because I've selected the primary bot, it's automatically got that little star in there, and you can make any of your bots, and if you do not sure exactly how to do that, I gave a good guide in how to do this, and it'll be listed somewhere up here so you can click it and watch the previous guide on how to install this. 2:32leveraging this to the best of its ability. We got our primary bot, we learned how to update to the latest one, and that is the first update that we have in here that's already been shipped. Bots now have their own emails, and again you got to make sure you update to the latest one, but now if you come in here, I made a little screenshot

2:47for you guys inside this presentation. The way you do it is it's in going to be in plugins, so I'm going to show you how to do this in here. You can hit connect to apps, and I believe you have to now type an email, and you see it comes up with the email like this. Give Grawp Bot its own email address. Now, I can email Grawp Bot emails to do other things with. Now, I want you to think this in a bigger landscape, right? Imagine that every time you get a customer service email and you want Grawp Bot to respond to and become like a customer service

You want to make sure that in the forwarding rules of your email box, and if you don't know how to do a forwarding rule, ask Grawp Bot to do it inside your inbox and it will show you how to do that and give you the instructions. I'm going to create an address, and now I got an address ready there to use. It's connected, and what I can do is create

3:32forwarding rules for customer service. Maybe I want to forward an email contract, or it's a proposal, or it's something that I wanted to review. I can send it to Grawp Bot now, and then activate my mail directly from here. Now, but all I did was type an email, you saw this particular one come in, and now you have the ability of doing that to ensure that GrokBot is now getting your emails. Again, be very secure who you share that with because what's going to happen is if somebody has access to that, that's going to be a problem for you later on. So, now you got your email

4:01connected, let's move on to the next update. So, your bots can now search and read X. Now, here's the important thing. Before, believe it or not, if you wanted to like physically search through X posts or do any kind of research on there, we actually had to pay an API in order to do that. Now, bots can read it, but unfortunately, you have to tell GrokBot that it now has full control over X. So, you want to make sure that you just go into your GrokBot, let your chief of staff know, "Hey, I heard that now bots read public X posts and there's no X account needed. Read-only DMs and

4:34bookmarks still need an X plugin, but what I want to make sure you do is I want to make sure we're using the regular free availability of doing this and not the API key to use API credits." I had to basically go in and tell GrokBot that, and I recommend you do the same just to ensure that whenever it's doing the X reading the X post that it's not using your API key. So, just let your GrokBot know by literally having a conversation, "I heard that" and then go ahead and just state in here or take a screenshot of this, give it to GrokBot and goes, "Can you ensure that we're

5:08doing this and I'm not paying API costs for the search functionality inside there." Thought this is a pretty cool update. It should have been there from the get-go, but hey, whatever, we'll take it. All right? Now, actually bots can build decks for you. So, it shows simple slides, you can pick a style it builds, turns skills calls into a proposal decks, makes weekly results for your team. Nothing switch on, but you do have to make sure that you update to 6.8. For Google Slides, you got to connect a Google inside of the connect apps first. We'll just build a slide decks just to show you exactly what it

5:37looks like so you guys can see it actively working in here. Before, believe it or not, it just didn't really do a good job. So, I'm going to take this example right here. So, what we're going to do is we're going to hit connect to apps and then in here you're just going to make sure that your Google's connected. Notice it has Google Docs and Google Slides. So, just ensure that you add it because like that it'll

5:57be able to create the Google Slides. It's going to help you authorize it. So, just make sure you authorize. Hit continue. I have it on a separate screen so you guys can see it. It's fully connected and now it has the tools. You have your slides, your sheets, your docs. Let's just go ahead and do Google Docs, too, just to so then we have that also open. It's also going to do the same thing. I'm going to sure it has Google Docs connected. All right, so I connected slides and I cracked a document and I'm going to say, "Using your new slide capabilities, I want you

6:23to create slide deck on an offer for all of my Leverage School clients. It'll be like a very short six-page presentation. Make up an offer." Again, I just want to show off your slide capabilities. So, can you go ahead and create a full slideshow for me? And here you go. Look, pretty beautiful slide it created. Really good job. So, again, now it has a slide capability, which I think is pretty badass. So, again, you'll now just have to turn it on. You can put it on Google Slides. You can tell it to add it to Google Slide once it's done with PowerPoint, but it automatically generates it in PowerPoint. All right,

6:56so moving on. Gmail drafts got three major upgrades, right? So, formatted emails, a from picker, and a spam search. Draft cards now include your signature, too. Send emails with headings, bold, and lists. Send from your sales@ or support@gmail alias. Find a client email in my spam from the last 7 days. Show me the list first. Don't move anything yet. So, again, don't have to go through this exercise, but this is again just an updated format. This is as of version 68.1. And again, these things are happening rapid fire, so there's probably going to be a massive more bunch of updates right after this. But,

7:30this is a simple one that you can do. And again, if you are a business owner and you have multiple email addresses and you're using aliases, this is pretty darn cool. Just make sure again that you're going in there and you're aware that it does this stuff now, can even go through your spam folder and identify if anybody landed in spam like your clients cuz sometimes that does happen to my clients. They will automatically go into my spam because it just doesn't go into the right place, but this is just an idea of how you can do it there. All right? So again, and this is the other

7:57one, if you want to create different aliases, this is how you set up an alias in there and do the from picker. You got to make sure you set up your email aliases first, then go into your actual Gmail inbox in the settings tab and go through these different settings. So take a screenshot of this so you're able to do it inside of your Gmail, but this is a setting that you're definitely going to have to do. Once you have the from address, then you can actively go from there. Now, bots can read your bank accounts, link bank card, investment accounts via Plaid, find subscriptions you no longer use, ask what spent on the

8:29software was last month, get simple weekly spending check-ins, connect it up, search for finance, and link Plaid. So we're going to go ahead and do that. I might not hit the button in front of you guys live, but this is something I am definitely considering. So I'm going to come over here. I'm going to come over here and hit finance. Again, you have to update first in order for you to do that. Once you do this, you're going to go ahead and hit add, and then it will add the account. So now you can have AI do all your finances. Again, use at your leisure, but know that this

8:57happens in here. It's Plaid, adds all this. This is just a little showing app of what exactly would do. You would go in again to the connected apps, go in through there, and automatically have it. But I know that there's some use cases out there where people are trying to find, you know, where money's bleeding out or what their expenses are or they want to create something pretty

9:15visual. This is the way to do it. Marketplace, as you guys been seeing, is no longer called Marketplace. It is now called Connected Apps. So a lot of people have been asking questions because in my previous videos, I showed you where you can get Marketplace bots, but I'm going to show you where you can still get that. So if you come in here and you go to Grok Bot Marketplace and you want to go through some of the bots that people have created. You can come in here and in the marketplace, you're still able to grab the bots here. So, you have all the different bots that are

9:45available to you. This marketplace now is more for the bot. So, it's x.ai/bot/marketplace and if you're in Grok bot and it's more about the connected apps bot templates, now you see they have their own separate area, which goes to this area here where you can see all the different bots for the different things that you have just in case you wanted to download actual bot templates and also by the way, you can actually submit these bots yourself if you come up with some really good ideas in order to do so. So, I thought this was pretty darn cool. And you saw me connect a few apps, but you can do

10:17ClickUp, you can do anything else. Again, just go to the connected apps, search for the app that's in there and going in there. Now, remember, one of the tips that I gave you in the previous one is if you don't see an app in there, you can connect Compazio and Compazio then can connect to 1,500 apps and that list is actively growing. You then can use that to connect to apps that you might not see in here. So, just another one in there for you. If you don't see it, that's probably because you're not updated to the latest model and make sure that sometimes you have to update

10:44on your phone, too, because sometimes the updates will go here on the web, but they won't go on the phone. So, just keep that aware. Bigger, faster computer, cleaner rules. So, the screen is now 1920 by 1200, which again, it just watch it work. You can take over at any point in time. You can give it access to your cloud code or your codex and have it going from there. It now has five new languages. These are all different languages that it now supports and setting general bot custom rules,

11:09you now have bigger screen and speed. You don't really need to do that. You just need to update to the 6.8 version, which again, as of this one, 0.69's already out. So, again, always remember to create your own rules based on what you want to do. If you're giving it control to access or access to something that you might find it a little bit more personal, you just got to be really careful with it. So, set your rules and trust me, it's very good about not breaking those rules as of yet, and it actually warns me if I'm about to break the rules going forward. You can add

11:37your custom rules in here, so let me just show you how to actually add one. So, you come in here. We're going to X out of this. I'm going to go to my name over here. I'm going to go to settings. Inside of settings, if you go down, this is where the custom rules are. See, these are all the different rules that I've added, but you can add your own directly in here. When Rock bot wants to do this, make sure to either allow automatically or ask me first. You can set up as many rules as you like, and this will be what it checks first before

12:06it does that. Again, there's not a lot of use cases to be in here because they try to make it very simple, but that's where you would set up custom rules as you go forward. The next is six fixes that you'll actually feel. Usage and billing shows when you your usage resets. So, they'll be at the bottom. A bot keeps the voice speed and language you set. Out of usage, a clear notice goes in, not a failed reply. So, instead of it failing, before we weren't getting any warnings, now you do. Automatic updates are on by default, but obviously check to see if it can update to the

12:37latest model, especially if you have your computer on and you've been actively using it. And right-click a routine, pause, resume, and test and edit. All of this has kind of been in there. Next, coming your bot, and this was actually announced by Elon himself. Your bots will now pick the best model for the given task. Claude Opus 5.5, Midjourney, Suno, and more. What it does now is it will actually intake the best bots. There's not been any conversation on usage charges and how the API will affect. They haven't given us a model picker yet, but at least this is a step into the right direction, which will

13:12allow us to use different models for different tasks, cuz I definitely don't like Rock for writing tasks. I definitely like using Opus 5.5. So, this is coming. It will be done in a way where it's going to pick the models, and honestly, the writing's been the one of the things that I don't really enjoy. Bachchur Bot, even though it's learning and it's learning more about me, I still use Claude for a lot of my content creation, video editing, and some other things cuz I just think it does a really good job in my coding 100% way better than anything I've produced with Grok so far. Also with Codex. So, it'll be great

13:44to see what it does and giving that ability to do so it definitely excites me. Do these things. One, update to 6.8. Add custom rules to yourself. Claim your bot's email address. Ask the bot for three jobs for it to take. Again, try the slide deck. Try connect maybe your finances. Set up a weekly roundup to ask, you know, what is happened inside of X cuz there's a lot of really great creators and coders inside of X that always produce some pretty quality stuff.
