This is the full transcript of 11 Grok Bots I Use Every Day (After 100+ Hours), published on YouTube by Peter Yang. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00Okay, so I've been using Grockbot for about a month now, and the 11 bots that I still use today are just very different from the ones that I set up at launch. In this video, I want to show you how to create and use all 11 bots, including a chief of staff, trusted advisor, a bot that creates other bots, and bots that monitor my YouTube website funnel, and trending tweets on X. I'll also walk through how to make bots that help you save money, find movies and activities, track workouts, clean up digital clutter, and even how to help you become a better spouse. And what's crazy is that all 11 of these bots can
0:40talk to each other, which I'll show you next. All right, let's get right into it. Okay, so here's my current Grobot setup. Now, I planned out this video with my YouTube producer bot. So, I thought, why not ask it to have all my other bots introduce themselves. And what it did was it created these two channels with about four or five bots each. And as you can see here, YouTube producers say, "Hey, Peter wants to make a live demo of all his bots. Reply with what your name is, what you do, and an example in this format." And you can see here that all my other bots, you know,
1:15frugal dad, health coach, weekend planner, Marie Condo, loving husband, YouTube producer, all responded, confirmed, and then they introduced themselves in their respective chats. And just for fun, I asked these bots to actually debate about who is the most useful bot for Peter. And it's just really funny seeing all these bots going back and forth. So, YouTube producer is saying, "I'll stay out of the running because I'm just someone who set up the room." Frugal Dad is saying, "Hey, respect your loving husband, but I'm the
1:47only bot that helps Peter save money." And then loving husband is saying, "Hey, I help Peter realize that picture day for my kids school is happening at 7:50 a.m. and not miss it." And then there is health coach and weekend planner all chiming in to say how useful they are including my Marie Condo bot who helps me clean out my Google drive files and emails. And I guess the conclusion is they didn't actually arrive at a
2:12conclusion about who is the most useful. But again, this is why I love Grothbot. It's the only AI product that feels like having a real team helping you and talking to each other. Like a Slack for AI. All right. Now, let's walk through each bot one by one. Starting with my paint bots at the top. So, Dr. Light is a bot that I copied from Lauren on the Grothbot team. Basically, it's a bot that helps you make other bots. And you can actually install this bot by going to marketplace and then going to bots
2:43and then clicking on Lauren Tan's Dr. Eggbot and just hitting import bot here. But if you ever play Mega Man when you were a kid, Dr. Eggbo is kind of the evil doctor. So, I had to rename the bot to Dr. Light. All right, so let's take a look at what the Dr. Light says it does. So basically, it helps design high quality bots. It also runs regular scheduled tasks to see if my other bots, the prompts and their skills and the stuff they have access to need to be improved. So this is the first bot that I recommend everyone set up because it basically helps you make and clean up
3:15all the other bots. In fact, why don't we tell it right now to actually make a new bot that tells jokes and let's see what it does. Okay, so you see here that Dr. Light spun up a new bot called Punchline. And let's go ahead and ask it for a joke. So tell me a joke. And here's a joke. I told my suitcase there would be no vacations this year. Now we're not on speaking terms. All right, that is pretty corny. Maybe I got to tell it to be a little bit more vulgar or a little more surprising in his jokes. But you know, that's how easy it
3:47is to use Dr. Light to create a new bot. All right, so the next bot is Chief, which is my chief of staff bot. Basically, this is my orchestrator bots that routes requests to my other bots. So, for example, I wanted to sell some headphones. So, I told Chief to ask Frugal Dad to list it on Facebook
4:05Marketplace with all the information. And Chief also tells Loving Husband to check my kids newsletter on weekdays at 4 p.m. and do other things down here. Okay. Now, of course, the classic use case of your chief of staff is to ask it to check emails and your calendar. So, here I'm asking it to read my emails and without revealing any personal information, tell me what I need to respond to in a list. And it's saying
4:31here that there's a bunch of emails. There's a reader who shared medical advice. There's a workshop I need to follow up on. There's a party invite and so on so forth down here, right? And I can just simply respond by saying, "Hey, one, draft a reply for me. two, let's say looks good. Three, accept party invite and so on and so forth. And then the chief will use its remote computer and browser to basically handle all this stuff for me. Okay. So, while the chief of staff is for handling everyday tasks like emails and calendar and delegating stuff to other bots, my advisor is for long-term planning. And I've talked
5:09about this before on previous videos, but basically all I do is I have a Google doc with my long-term plans and I tell my advisor to take a look at it. And then I set up a schedule task so that every week the advisor tells me what to focus on and things that I may not be thinking about. So here it says this week's focus, finished the personal AI system course, looking at YouTube, here's some videos that outperformed for other channels, and here's some upcoming meetings and stuff that you should prepare for. and basically explains that every Friday at AM it sends me this briefing and it gets information from my
5:41Mercury Bank, YouTube, Granola meeting notes, Substack, my behindthecraft.com website and more. Okay. And by the way, while we're on the topic, one useful prompt if you set up this advisor is to tell it to act as your brutally honest advisor. Speak to me like a founder, creator, or leader with massive potential and blind spots that need to be exposed. analyze my situation objectively and tell me what I'm doing wrong or making excuses about. Hold nothing back, but end on an encouraging voice. So, if you copy and paste this prompt, which I also paste in the YouTube description and the comments, and if you've been using Grockbot or any
6:18other AI for a while, chances are it's going to tell you something that you probably don't want to hear and something that's pretty profound. So, I highly recommend that you try this out. Okay, quick plug. If you want to learn how to build your own chief of staff and advisor step by step, check out behindthecraft.com where I've included full prompts to set these things up along with free codes for accessing Grockbot, Replet, Lovable, Granola, and a whole bunch of other AI tools that I use on a regular basis. I put all my best stuff here, so
6:50definitely check out behindthecraft.com. All right, back to Grothbot. So now let's walk through three bots that I use to do work. And these days my job is basically making YouTube videos, writing newsletter posts, and trying out the latest AI tools, which I guess is like a blessing to have this kind of job. So let me walk through my YouTube producer first. So my YouTube producer basically pulls the last 7-day channel outliers from both my channel and other channels similar to mine and then it lists them here, right? So here's an example. It listed these five different videos that
7:25are outperforming the channel averages. And then it basically gives me ideas for YouTube videos to make next. So in this example, it's actually telling me to make videos about Grockbots because apparently Grockbot performed well. And I've set up this task in my YouTube producer to basically run every Monday and Wednesday at 7 a.m. to give me video ideas. And not only can it give me video ideas, but it can also partner with me to script the video. Okay, so here's the example for this video. Basically, YouTube producer created a rough script with the intro hook, research examples, and then I told it to kind of go ahead
8:04and start with these thumbnail and title combinations. And then it did all this. It looked through all my bots at what they did. And then it made the hook and also the rough bullet point outline for stuff that I want to cover. Of course, there's a lot of back and forth. I I told her to write more like I speak and these are just bullet points. They're not like full scripts, right? But eventually I got to a point where I told it to save everything to this linear ticket with the thumbnail and title packages and with the hook and the voice over. So YouTube producer is just very
8:35useful. Its main job is to help me find YouTube video ideas and also help me do the packaging and start writing the script. All right, so my next spot is called Behind the Growth, which is basically, you know, my channel name is called behind the craft. And what this bot does is it monitors my website funnel traffic. So it basically looks at how many people are coming to behind theaccraft.com. How many are converting to pay subscribers through this funnel and how is this traffic changing over time. I also run some AB tests on the headline copy and it tells me how these different AB tests are doing and it
9:13tells me also where my traffic is coming from. So here's an example report that it sends me with all the numbers Xed out. And how does this work? Well, basically it's pulling a lot of data from Versell which hosts my website and also internal analytics and tracking that it built. If you have a website, it's very important to understand basic stuff like how many people are coming and from where and how are people coming on the website, engaging with it and converting to paid. Right? So this is what behind the growth does for me. You can also ask it to generate charts like this for a more visual way to see how
9:47things are going and you can even tell it to send you these charts in an email format. So just very useful. Next, let's talk about Xcout. So Xcout basically crawls X and Twitter and it pulls trending AI tweets and my latest from the website, right? And you can use the API of X to get this information, but the problem is the API costs money. So what this stuff does instead is it just logs into X on the cloud computer and it browses X like a human and poses information. So for example today there's a lot of tweets from AI leaders like Dario Sam Alman and others talking
10:26about how we need to slow down frontier model development, how we need to align AI with our human interests before going too far. Uh, it also posts recent bookmarks, which is very useful because I bookmark a lot of things, but I never actually read them. And X Scout basically reminds me interesting stuff that I've bookmarked. And this kind of stuff runs every morning, so I can have a quick view of what's going on on X without actually doom scrolling all the time myself. All right, now let's move on to my personal bots that I'm very proud of. So basically, I got bots to tell me save money, plan weekend
10:59activities, track workouts, reduce clutter, and also make my spouse happy. So let's start with Frugal Dad. So Frugal Dad handles all the miscellaneous tasks that have to do with money. So for example, right now I have it watching Japan flight fairs for December from these flight legs that I want to go on and pay me when the prices get better, right? And I also use Frugal Data a lot to list and renew stuff on Facebook Marketplace. So, for example, I actually asked it to list a headphone for me on Facebook Marketplace. And the way it does it, by the way, is just to log into Facebook on it cloud computer and just
11:40click all the buttons to list it. And what's crazy is that it can also respond to inquiries. So, for example, someone is trying to buy my headphones, but they're trying to negotiate a lower price. And I told it, hey, we should keep the price the same or maybe lower a little bit and just kind of negotiate with the person who wants to buy it, right? So, I actually just sold the headphone just an hour making this video. So, frugal dad is basically doing his job for me. And down here, I'm asking it to look into Japan fairs. And you can see here that it's looking at
12:10two different rates. It's looking at the open jaw SFO Tokyo Fukoka back to SFO and it's also looking at Tokyo roundtrip flight. And again, what it's doing is it's pretty much just using Google Flight to search the stuff, right? So, basically just clicking around Google Flight trying to find out what the rates are. Um, and it told me not to buy right now because it looks like the flights are actually going down in price. So, maybe I should wait a couple weeks. All right. So, scrolling more down. It's still going back and forth with me on the price. And eventually, I'm going to copy this stuff over to my wife and
12:44figure out what flight we want to book tomorrow. But you can see that frugal data just very useful for trying to sell stuff, trying to monitor prices on Google flights, Amazon or any other website and all the miscellaneous finance activities like for example paying the piano teacher or these other activities that you need to do. Now to make sure that you can do these activities, you do have to give the cloud computer access to your Facebook and Google flight account. So there is certain level of risk there. Like for example, maybe at some point I'll give it access to vanbo. Right now I'm kind of staying away from giving it access to
13:20my bank. All right. So the next block I want to share is weekend planner. And what weekend planner does is it sends a short Saturday and Sunday family brief to me every Wednesday. And it also sends it through email. And this brief has a couple things. So here's an example of the actual brief. So, number one, it sends me a list of activities and places I can go with my kids on the weekend. It looks like Google is hosting an endless
13:46summer festival party in Mountain View. And there's some other activities going on. It's pretty boring in the Bay Area here. A lot of people are workaholics. So, I need weekend planner to help me find things to do. Another thing that it sends me is a list of movies and TV shows that I should watch based on my personal interests. So, how does that work? So I downloaded all my IMDb ratings into this taste profile.md. In fact, why don't I tell you to open this file so you can see it. Okay, so this is my taste profile.md that I got AI to create based on all my IMDb movie
14:20ratings, right? You can see here that I prefer strong characters, narrator momentum, I like science fiction, don't get too depressing and so on so forth. And here's all the books that I really liked. And down here, here's all the 10 out of 10 movies that I rated. I've seen a lot of movies. So, I wanted to give it all my ratings. There's a ton of 10 out
14:41of 10. There's lower ratings down here. And it keeps going. So, this is basically my source of truth now for all the movies that I watched. And after I watch a movie, like for example, recently I watched Toy Story 5. So, I say, "Hey, I just watched Toy Story 5. It's 9 out of 10." Add to taste profile. and it'll add that to the taste profile so that it can give me better suggestions next time and also not suggest movies that I've already seen. I highly encourage you to set up something like this for yourself to figure out what movies to watch and also which activities to go to on the weekend with
15:17your family. All right, the next spot I want to showcase is Health Coach. And Health Coach, what it does is it sends me another report every Saturday at AM and it pulls information from a few different sources. So, it pulls my weight from my Wings smart scale and my body fat percentage. And it also pulls workouts from the fitness app that I vibe coded that also has an MCP. For example, it told me that I lifted 27,000
15:44pounds this week over five sessions. Here is my squat and bench. And my body fat is uh pretty high. It's not in good shape. I need to work out more my body fat. And it sends me this report in this format. So, here's my goal. I want to get to 16% body fat. here's how things are going and here's all the workouts that I did and maybe some tips on how to work out better or like eat more healthy and so on so forth, right? So, it's kind of like a health coach. It keeps me accountable, but it's only able to do this because it has both my weight and
16:16also my workout history. And at some point in the future, I'm going to ship the fitness app that I vibe coded so you can all have it and use the MCP to track your workouts, too. Or you can just vibe code it yourself. It's not too difficult. All right. Next, I have Marie Condo, which is the only bot, I think,
16:32that I actually kept over from launch. And what Marie Condo does is it helps me tidy my digital home one category at a time. So, it takes a look at each email, file, and subscription that I have and asks, does it spark joy? And if it doesn't, it tells me whether I should remove it or not. So, let me show you a real example of this. All right. So, up here is send me a bunch of subscriptions that I currently have right now. and includes linear, brick box, paper design, descript, and so on so forth, right? And for example, I don't really use paper design anymore. So if I see
17:03this, maybe I can pause it or cancel it and go from there. Okay, it also helps me clean up my Google Drive files, but of course, it asks for permission before moving or removing any files. And last but not least, I want to talk about loving husband. I'm not sure about you, but I get a lot of asks from my wife to understand what's going on with the school calendar to figure out what lessons I need to send my kids to and what after school programs maybe to sign up for. Just like a lot of random requests, right? So, I made loving husband so that it can help me with all
17:38these requests. So, for example, right now I set up a job where every Sunday the school sends me an email of what's going on. But the problem is the emails are super long. Like like if you're a parent, you know the emails you get from schools are not very concise and to the point. Have a lot of irrelevant information. So I set up loving husband to basically read through the school emails and then list what's going on, the stuff that's actually actionable. So here it's saying there's a back to school barbecue and do you want me to
18:08RSVP to the barbecue or leave it? Right? So this way I can just get the, you know, takeaways and the actionable stuff from the school emails instead of having to read the whole thing. And similarly, if my wife tells me to run an errand, tells me to return something that she bought or something, I can tell loving
18:23his husband to help me get it done. Right now, unfortunately, loving husband is just a bot. It's not a robot yet, so it can actually go to the store and return stuff. But maybe someday it'll happen. Okay, so those are 11 bots that I want to cover in this video. Now, let me close with some really practical advice for using Grogbot. First, I highly recommend going to marketplace and going to bots to install Laurent Tan's Dr. Eggbot. Basically, it's a bot that helps you make bots and will help you make sure that your bots are healthy and are on track, right? So, definitely install that. Next, create and ping a
19:02chief of staff bot to orchestrate everyday tasks and an advisor bot for long-term planning. Then, create bots for both work and personal use cases based on your needs. So, just to recap, for work, I have YouTube producer to track interesting video ideas and help me write scripts for them. X to track Twitter behind the growth to track my website funnel. And for personal, I have bots for weekend planning, for saving money, for keeping track of my health and workouts, cleaning up digital files, and also being kind to my spouse. So, just kind of create a bunch of bots. And the thing is like try to stick to one
19:39specific job for each bot, right? And finally, for a bunch of these bots, if you want to make stuff proactive, you just set up recurring scheduled tasks so that they can do work without you having to tell them to. So, you know, YouTube planner sends me video ideas every week proactively. Frugal Dad is monitoring the flight price and health coach sends me an email and also a message about my workouts. So, just tell the bots to, hey, schedule a task to do this for me every Monday or every Tuesday or so on so forth. And, you know, last but not least, just remember you can always get
20:11the bots to talk to each other like this. It is very fun to see them banter and go back and forth with each other. Overall, I'm a little bit tired of trying all these new personal assistants. You have chatbt, you have Grockbot, you have Instinct, and now you have Muse from Meta, but Grobot is the one that I've stuck with because it's just really fun to have different bots for different jobs and also to see them interact with each other. So, I highly recommend that you give it a try and you can also get some coupon codes at
20:40behindthecraft.com while supplies last. As always, thanks again for watching and please like and subscribe if you want more practical videos like this.
