TPT Income Report: First Year Earnings from Teachers Pay Teachers

0:00my first year selling on TPT here's how it went hi I'm Phoenix and I'm the tattooed piano teacher I can now proudly say that I have 12 months worth of data experience feedback and Lessons Learned selling on Teachers Pay Teachers in this video I'll share all of the numbers what I'm taking with me into the second year and what I'm leaving behind we're going to get right into the stats cuz I know that's why you're here I split them up into three categories first I'm going to tell you what I did which is what I'm most proud of anyways and then I'm going to tell you what the customers did and

0:35then I'm going to tell you the income that I earned from what the customers did so here's a quick year overview of what I did I started my store back in April 20123 and in that first partial month I posted six products by the end of May 2023 I was up to 13 products June we raised that to 18 products July added a couple more to make it 20 products August up to 27 products and here's where I really got serious so by the end of September I had 36 products in the shop and then by the end of October I had 50 products in the shop so I was

1:12really busy those months by the end of November 65 products by the end of the year 75 products by the end of January 95 products okay I I added a lot of winter stuff in January in February I hit the 100 products Milestone so I had 113 by the end of February and by the end of March I had 127 products in my store so underneath the umbrella of what customers did I'm going to share my views my conversion rate and then how many units sold so going back a Year again to April 2023 143 views a 2.1 conversion rate and three products sold in May 108 views 6.5

1:59conversion rate 7 units sold in June 151 views 6.6 conversion rate and 10 units sold in July 139 views back down to 2.9 conversion rate and only four sold in August I had 158 views we jumped up to an 8.2 conversion rate and 14 units sold in September I basically doubled My Views probably back to school right it was a 318 views a 5.7 conversion rate and 18 items sold now here's when things really started to pick up in October I had 909 views a 5.3 conversion rate and I sold 50 products in November it was 866 views 6.5% and 61 sold December I jumped up to

2:521,519 views a 5.5 conversion rate and 84 units sold January I still had a ,19 views still a 5.7 conversion rate and I sold 66 products in February 1,248 views a 7.4 conversion rate and 93 sold and then March of 2024 1,231 views a 7% conversion rate and 89 units sold so based on those numbers how much did I earn in each month okay rewind back to April 2023 my first partial month I made $267 then in May I made $531 in June I signed up for the premium seller account so these numbers are going to go up because I was making more each sale June I made

3:441828 July 2480 August 4809 and I was so close to that $50 Mark I was hoping that I would reach it but then in September I did I got 5720 and then when things picked up in October October I made $246.9 November $240 and2 December $ 36877 January went down a little bit $ 27148 February was my best month of the year so far this was $ 37352 and then March 353 and 71 so my grand total for my first 12 months on TPT was $2,081 not bad at all by the end of my first year I had gained 93 followers on TPT I had 14 reviews for an average

4:49review score of 4.9 so the number one most important thing that I saw increase my earnings and really all of the stats was when I added more products so the months where I buckled down and got a bunch of new products into the store those were the months that I got more views I got more sales so I know that it's still going to be important going into my second year that I'm adding new products whenever possible I've heard it said by other veteran sellers that when you hit that 100 product marker you're going to see a real difference and then when you hit that 200 product marker

5:28you're going to see a real uptick again and I can certainly say that that's true because the month that I hit that 100 product Milestone was February which was my biggest month so far I haven't hit 200 products in my store yet I have quite a ways to go I will let you know once I get to 200 products if I see another increase in sales that would be amazing if that's true and then what I'm going to leave behind is only making seasonal products so I would say 90% % of the products that I put up in the first year were all related to whatever

6:03the next upcoming season was and that was a great first year strategy I have a video I'll link it here in the description all about basically my strategy of using seasonal products and how that helped me get more views and sales in my first year however now that it's the downtime I did not share my April or May numbers in this video because it wasn't technically part of my first year but I can already tell you that sales went way down after Easter because if I'm only selling seasonal products and there aren't any Seasons or holidays happening right now then sales are going to see a big drop and they did
