0:00In this video, I'm going to help you actually create and achieve your goals so you can progress every single month and ultimately turn your life around. And I know it sounds crazy, but to give you some context, my name is Val. I've been in business for like 6 years and I've been spending so much time around extremely successful, extremely wealthy people. I have amazing mentors around me and I've had some of the best months of my life back to back recently. But the reason I actually want to create this video is because I have been doing entrepreneurship for 6 years and I made so many mistakes and nobody ever really

0:27helped me with planning goals. Nobody showed me how to do it, not even my mentors. So, I had to figure it out the hard way and essentially get to the point where I'm now on my own. And you know, when you're 14 and you have to deal with mistakes of like planning goals, it is a very difficult place to be. And I think for anybody, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. So, what I've done for you guys today is I recently did a group call in my sales coaching company, Setters Academy, talking about goal planning and kind of how to wrap your head around it and do it properly

0:53and do it way better than probably most people are doing. and I decided to turn it into a call or in a YouTube video for you guys today so you could sit down, watch it, get a better understanding and maybe take away one or two big things. So, if you want to get a better understanding of how you can plan your goals and essentially achieve anything you may have ever wanted in a progressive way instead of just damaging your mental health in the process or you just want to get closer in business, personal life, whatever it is, you want progression, this video is for you. And

1:17at the end, I'm going to give you guys something sexy, too. Don't just try and skip and go see it. You're not going to get it. But yeah, without further ado, let's dive in. I think you're really going to like this one. We absolutely cooked. How to actually achieve your goals in 2026. Now, I'm about to change your life as per usual. So, let's dive in. First of all, this is a quick photo of me and my friends. This is me when I was blonde. And this is a bunch of my homies for my friend Surprise Party that

1:43are all anomalies. They're all outliers. and they are all making a stupid amount of money per month and per year as very successful 18 to 24 year old entrepreneurs. Now before we dive into how to actually plan and achieve your goals and all that stuff, let's go through the three pillars and the three fundamentals of life. We have health, we

2:01have wealth, and we have relationships. And here you can see a picture of my crypto portfolio when I was 14. You can see me pretty pretty big last year. And you can see me here with my boy George, George Morris, an absolute go and a happy Christmas jumper. But that's not what we're all about. This is what we're about. Earlier this month, February, [snorts] I ran a call in my coaching company called Setters Academy. And we essentially talked about how to plan goals. So planning February goals was kind of what the call was about. And you can see here me and Kai and also Christian and a couple other people were

2:34on that call. But this was within my coaching company. And I essentially help people figure out how to plan their goals. And without further ado, these were the three questions I asked the people that were attending that call right at the beginning. Number one, who here plans their goals? Number two, how do you plan your goals? And number three, how's it been going? Those were the three questions I asked. And you can pause the video here if you need, but I want you to ask yourself the same question. Do you plan your goals? Do you actually plan your goals? And how do you plan your goals? Is it focusing on the

3:05goal or the target or the output or the thing you hope happens? or do you focus on the inputs and the things you actually have control of? Because a lot of people don't. Now, let me ask you the third question. How has it been going? If you're watching this video, you probably haven't hit the goals you really want. You're probably underperforming in your life and you're probably pretty upset about it and annoyed about it. Annoyed enough to watch this video from this random looking autistic dude in a random workspace recording it for you. Who here plans their goals? Do you plan your goals? How do you plan your goals? And

3:33how's it been going? Now the issue is if you are setting goals, you have already lost. That is what I want you to take away from this for now. If you are setting goals and you are focusing on the output, the thing you cannot truly control, you've already lost. If your goal is to lose 20 kg or to get a girlfriend or to get an A+ in school or to do, you know, 10K per month, you have

3:54already lost. And let me explain why. Let's say number one, you set a goal and your goal is to make 10K per month. And number two is the progress. You research ways to do this. You send cold DMs, you land a roll, that type of thing, and then you make some money. Cool, progress. Number three is fizzle. Your business model starts to dry up. You're no longer making money, and you feel worse. You feel like you're back at square one. Your selfrust drops, and you start to doubt yourself. And number five, you repeat. You now don't trust yourself. The more you try, the more you fail, and the more you prove to yourself

4:24that you cannot. Your trust is at an all-time low. When you focus on setting goals, you are essentially saying, "I will have a good month. I will have a successful month. I will be happy if I get an outcome that I cannot fully control. If something happens that I really want happens, I will be happy. You are a kid in a supermarket with your mom trying to buy a 100 different things, bro. Like, that is basically what you're doing. You're saying, "I

4:47want this. I want this. I want this." Your mom's coming like, "No, you get to pick one thing." And I'm not saying go and pick one goal. That's a terrible analogy. What I'm saying is you have this continuous situation where you set a goal that you cannot ultimately control. At the end of the day, you continuously hit this concept called the goal dopamine trap. And what I mean by that is when you plan a goal, you get dopamine. And you know, setting the goal

5:11feels amazing and you you feel so good. This feelgood mechanism hits you. That's dopamine. Dopamine does not mean execution. It does not mean that because you planned a goal, you are doing work. It does not mean you are high leverage. It does not mean you are progressing or growing. Setting a goal or planning a goal doesn't mean you have done anything. It's a feel-good mechanism to tickle your bum and say, "Oh, I'm doing well." But you're not. You're not doing well, bro. The missing goal is another aspect I want to talk about. You plan a goal and it makes you feel good. And it's also very far away from you. You

5:40probably can't even define it. But don't worry, I'm going to explain that in a minute. When you miss a goal, your selfrust gets severely damaged. So, when you don't execute, you don't just miss the goal, you damage your confidence because you start to doubt if you can actually even work hard. And instead of progressing, you actually start to regress because every time you don't achieve what you wanted to achieve, you say, "How good am I at anything?" And the issue with that is when you plan a goal, it makes you feel good. When you miss a goal, it damages your selfrust and it makes you doubt yourself. And if

6:07you don't doubt yourself, you will fall into this habit of you don't even trust yourself to wake up on time. You don't even trust yourself to stick to something for a week. You don't even trust yourself to try something new. And when that happens, you're going down this horrible rat race called regression. and it just gets worse and it compounds as a byproduct. You end up going down a path in life you don't want to. The real cost is selfrust. When you focus on an output or a goal you want that you cannot ultimately control, you

6:34damage your selfrust in the process. Now, most people think failing is just failing at a goal, but it's not. It is training your brain to say, "I don't do what I say I'll do." And after enough reps, you start to say, "Can I?" Because I I continue to say, "I want to do this thing and I can." And then I try and I fail over and over and over again. and you stop believing yourself, you start to believe that everything you sell yourself is a lie and that it actually doesn't lead to the outcome you want and you can't have the things you want. Your self-esteem goes down, your self-rust

7:01goes down, and as a byproduct of everything, your self-conviction goes down. You start to doubt yourself. Now, the deeper problem with all of this is the truth. Where you are today is a result of what you did 3 to 6 months ago. And this is taken exactly from the group call I did within the setters academy, my coaching company. Where you are today is a direct result of what you did 3 to 6 months ago. And what you're doing now is deciding where you'll be in the next 3 to 6 months. How you live today, how you live this week, how you've lived this month determines where

7:30you'll be in the next few months. And if you're not happy with it, brother, I have bad news. It's your fault and you're going to be in a terrible spot in a few months. So the question I have for you is, are you happy with where you'll be in the next 3 to 6 months if nothing changes? If not, then something has to change. And I know you're so sick of hearing it. You see these guys on the internet talking about if you if you want to change something, change

7:50something. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying where you are now is because of what you've done for the past few months. And if you're not happy with it because you fell into terrible eating habits, you're probably not where you want to be fitness- wise. And in the next 3 to 6 months, the same byproduct, right? So, are you happy with where you'll be in the next 3 to 6 months if nothing changes? Because if not, then

8:08something needs to change, my friend. The deeper problem is that you are not defining success. And you're thinking, "Oh my gosh, what is he talking about? What do you mean defining success? If you can't define success, you cannot feel successful. And let me say that again. If you cannot define success, you cannot feel successful. If you cannot

8:27define anything, you cannot feel it. Imagine I told you I want to be happy. And you're like, okay, well, what does happiness look like to you? And I'm like, um, I don't know. You're going to be like, well, then how would you feel happy? It's the same concept. How can you feel happy if you don't know what happiness looks like? If you don't know what success looks like, then you cannot feel successful. And this is what I'm trying to say. Success

8:48does not look like achieving a goal. Bear with me. Success does not look like achieving a goal. And let's go next. The classic. And this is what tends to happen. I'm going to give you this example of some guy that was part of my coaching company for a while. And he actually did pretty well. He got to a point where he made like two or three grand in a single month. Now, at the start of the month, number one, I'm not going to say his name. his target with the coaching company, with the team he was working on, their target was to do $50,000. That was the goal. Let's do

9:14$50,000 this month. And he was working really, really hard. As you can imagine, he was like super locked in. He was doing really well. And the target was 50,000. 50,000 50,000 50,000 50,000. Imagine number three. Another month they do 40. And the month after that they do 10. And the month after that they do one. And they go on this downward spiral. But

9:35you're probably wondering why. Well, it's because he didn't hit 40. He felt terrible. He felt depressed. And the next two months compounded and they got worse. And what I'm saying to you is the discrepancy here is because he put so much emphasis on an output. He put so much emphasis on something that was an uncontrollable outcome. When he didn't achieve it, it directly impacted his self-worth. It made him feel like a terrible person. It made him feel like a failure. It made him feel like a loser because he didn't achieve his one goal of have the company do 50,000. Now, for context, he's an appointment setter. He

10:07would have gotten 5%. Which would have been 2.5,000, maybe a bonus, maybe a base pay as well. So, he would have averaged out to like 34 $5,000 on the month. Now, he ended up making less. He didn't get a full bonus. He got a partial bonus, but he was really upset. As you can imagine, his focus was to hit the target of 50. And when he didn't do it, the following months were terrible because he just spiraled out of control and felt worse and worse and worse and worse. And if we go back, his self-rust was down, his self-esteem was down, and his self-conviction was down. And like I

10:36said, the deeper problem was he defined success as something he couldn't ultimately control. Because let me tell you this, the the way this business works is he is an appointment setter. He's essentially booking in sales calls for coaches, right? And if he is booking in sales calls for coaches, he cannot control the marketing. He cannot control the closing. He cannot control the fulfillment. He cannot control many things. Therefore, you only have a certain amount of control over the business. And as a byproduct of that,

11:00you cannot control the final outcome. But he was so attached to the final outcome that when it didn't happen, it hit him so hard that the next two months were terrible and he spiraled downhill. Whatever you want to say, his uncontrollable outcomes made his self-worth go down. And this is what I mean. A lot of you guys have this money, right? Let's say one of your targets is money. Let's say one of your targets is assigning a client. Let's say one of your targets is getting a bunch of

11:24followers or getting a bunch of views. Or let's say one of your targets is to get down to 80 kg or lose a certain amount of weight. These are all byproducts of what I mean. You have specific things in your life that are uncontrollable outcomes. You cannot control them by any means. Now, how do you fix this? And how do you stop feeling lost? How do you actually hit

11:43your goals? Let me show you. What you should do is instead of focusing on your goals, you should focus on the requirements that you need to do for this to be an arguably successful month to get you closer to your goals. And I know that sounds super vague, but let me show you what I mean. Requirements are controllables. They are controllable inputs, meaning that you can focus on what you do, right? And instead of you saying, "Well, I want to make sales or make money," like we talked about earlier on, instead you say, "Well, I want to make sure my fulfillment is really good," or, "I want

12:16to make sure I do outreach to be able to sign a client, or I want to be consistent with posting, and I want to post every single day for this month, and this and whatever it is, and I want to train consistently so I can hit my target." my requirements and I'm going to show you my personal requirements for this month in February. For me, someone who is arguably doing pretty well. I run two companies. I work all the time. I'm really I work really hard. I have a pretty good social life balance. I've just recently moved to London. I recently have blonde hair. I can tell

12:47you all about my life another day. The requirements I had for myself this month was to sleep by 12:30 a.m. daily. It was to complete something called bell mode, which is like 75 hard, but I made my own version because, you know, I'm autistic. is deviated septum checkup. I have something wrong with my nose. Do a blood panel so I could optimize my health so I could go further. Church every single Sunday because I'm religious and I want to make sure I continue to do that. Go home for my mom's birthday. Something that is none of your business. Four sauna sessions because I'm in a gym with

13:14a sauna. I'm spending a lot of money on the gym. I want to take advantage of it. And four bouldering sessions because I love bouldering and my best months and my best like days are literally when I go bouldering. So I said, why do I neglect it? And keep in mind this is health and performance. This is family and relationships. This is business and growth. Now, the cool thing about this, and let me even show you this real quick, is look at my goals. These are things I can control. I can make sure I go to the sauna. I can make sure I go to church. I can make sure I go home and I

13:38fly to Ireland for my mom's birthday. Like I said, I'm currently in London. I can make sure I go bouldering. I can make sure I watch six recordings. I can make sure I set up four events, meetups, that type of thing. But here's the issue. A lot of people set goals that are partially controllable. And look at this one of them. I'm not going to show you because it's none of your business,

13:54but it's it's about my personal life. Another one is health and performance. I want to get to 74KG. At the start of the month, that was 77KG. I want to get to 74KG. Boom. Number two, turn over $100,000 with my companies is one of the goals. Number three is we're setting up a referral partner system. I want that to generate over $30,000 this month. And number four, or number five, because I'm not showing you number four, is personal brand. I want to get to 3,000 followers on Instagram. Now, let me tell you this, bro. If I got to 74.1 kg by the end of

14:22February, should I feel terrible? No. If I turned over 90,000 with both of the companies instead of 100, should I feel terrible? No. If I do 29,000 with the referral partners, should I feel terrible? No. If I get to 3,000 Instagram followers, should I feel terrible? No. It's like a spectrum. If you feel terrible because you didn't hit the exact number you really wanted to hit and that is the thing that makes you spiral out of control, even potentially feel bad about yourself, trust yourself less, have less self-conviction and go down a bad rabbit hole. That is not

14:52sustainable and that is not consistent. I have a lot of mentors worth a filthy amount of money. I have a lot of friends worth a lot of like filthy amount of money. I'm sharing the same secrets with you. Focus on requirements. Focus on things you can control. And I know it's a cliche saying and everybody says it, but stop focusing on the output because when you focus on the output, you can't

15:08control it and then you stress out. Let's say I didn't have time and something terrible happens and I only do two Setters Academy meetups instead of four. I still did 50% more. We still changed lives. I've still impacted a bunch of people and I still did a lot of the requirements and I can still say I did half of what I was meant to do, but at least I did something. This to me is the perfect month because even if I do 75% of this, and knowing me, I'll do more, but let's say I just do 75% of this, it's still an incredibly successful month. And by achieving or

15:40hitting these requirements, my uncontrollable achievements start to feel and become more controllable, eg success. And like I said, this stuff will still come. I will still hit these targets. I will still hit these goals, these achievements. Honestly, I don't even like to call them goals. Let me change this. They're not goals because goals are pedestalized. It says that maybe I hit it. Hopefully, I hit it. I'm not going to hopefully hit my goals. I will hit my goals. Maybe it's not now. Maybe it's in

16:04a few months. Maybe it's in a few years. I will still hit my achievements. I will still hit my achievements because it's just a matter of time. It's just another milestone for me. It's not the holy grail. It's not the end all be all. But this is the point of what I'm saying. Focus on things you can control and create goals around what you would consider to be a successful month to you. If you sit there at the beginning of the month and you say, "What is a good month to me? What has to happen by the end of this month for me to be happy?" Stop calling it a good month

16:32because of an outcome. Call it a good month because you followed your requirements, things you can't control. Because what actually ends up happening is instead of the example I showed you where you have one bad month and it goes worse and worse and worse because you feel terrible, you will have one month where you did a lot and then you will have another month where you do more and you get a better understanding of what a better month is to you and you keep going and you compound and you progress and you scale. I've been in business for basically like 6 years. I've made so many mistakes. I've had so many

16:59failures. I'm still making so many mistakes. There's so much more for me ahead. One of my goals this year is to get to $100,000 per month profit. I'm pretty far from that, but we'll do it. And let me reiterate, one of my achievements this year is to get to $100,000 profit. We're still far from it, but we'll be okay. And it's cool because as long as I focus on the requirements, I can say that was actually a good month. And if I ever feel bad and I don't hit it, I'll just look back and I'll say, what do I consider a good month for me to be able

17:27to say, it's cool that I didn't hit my targets. It's cool that I didn't hit my achievements. What do I actually need to do for it to be a good month for me? Progression, my friend, is not binary. And what I mean by that is if I ask you if you're successful, it is not a yes or no. If you ask anybody who is successful, if they're successful, they'll be like, "What do you mean? In

17:46what aspect of life? What is success? What is this? What is that?" But notice how I focus on many things. Health and performance, wealth and assets, my personal brand, which is obviously I want to build a persona online, business and growth, family and relationships. There's many different things because success to me and a good amount to me doesn't mean sitting working 14 hours a day and hating my life or just making money. I know I can sit down for longer, make more money, hit my target of 100k per month profit within the next few months, but I'll be really upset. I'm okay with spending more time with my

18:16family, more time with my friends, and hitting that goal or target or achievement eventually, and being having it be more enjoyable because there's a saying that who you are now will essentially accentuate when you achieve whatever it or when you make more money. It's kind of like steroids. If you took steroids now, you'd be more of who you are. If you were to make more money now, you'd be more of who you are. And I'm happy to say I want to make sure I'm successful in every aspect of life. But the gist for you is take the most important things for you, the achievements, the goals you want to hit

18:45in one month, whatever it is. If it's three month goals, one year goals, break it down into one month and say, "Cool, what can I do to get closer to that and maximize the chance of me hitting it?" And if I do all these actionables and if I don't hit it, and this is a great question, if I do all of these actionables or requirements and I still don't hit my goal, will I still feel like I had a good month? Because if I still feel like I had a good month, then I'm going to feel good at the end if I don't achieve it. And this isn't like a

19:08copout. This is just to make sure that you continue to build momentum on momentum and progress instead of regress and feel terrible if you had one month one bad month. You need to start tracking your growth and you need to start feeling good about yourself when you do things well. And obviously when you do bad, you just learn from it and you get better. The more you beat yourself up, the more regressive it's going to get. You're going to go down a very dark path in business, in mental health, and personal life and family and relationships. So this isn't just me showing you this so you can plan your

19:34goals. This is me showing you this so you can spend more time focusing on the things that matter to you. If I ask you, what are three things you want to achieve by the end of next month? What would they be? And as a byproduct, what would you have to do to get as close as possible to those things? And can you break it down so it's super simple, so it's an actionable? And when you have that, then go and do it. And if you go and do that and you consider it a successful month and if you don't even hit your goals, but you can say it is still a

20:04good month if I do these things even if I don't hit my goals. I promise you, you will start to feel a lot better at the end of the month. You will start to feel better at the end of the quarter, at the end of the year. And you will get to a better place in your life, in your head, in your heart, and in business. And you will live a happier, more fulfilled life. My goal is to help you become self-aware, more so self-aware, and be able to grow and progress and eventually crush it in life. So hopefully this was helpful for you guys. That's pretty much

20:35all I got for you. So I will talk to you soon. If you do want the actual full recording I did real quick, I will say for the people that stayed to the end, I did actually do a full group call in my community. It's like an hour, I think long, hour and a half. It's amazing. One of my favorite calls ever. If you message me on Instagram saying C A L L or call, then I will send it to you as well and you will essentially be able to go watch it in more detail. But this is kind of a general gist. Hopefully you

20:59enjoyed and I will talk to you soon. Peace.
