This is the full transcript of How To Test ANY Startup Idea In 24 Hours (No Code + AI), published on YouTube by Christian Peverelli. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00this startup this startup and this startup all launched multi-million dollar businesses using the exact same technique that I'm going to teach you in today's video but the best part is that this validation strategy can be used to test any startup or SAS idea in less than 24 hours and yep we're going to be using no code tools and AI but first of all why would you spend your time testing and validating your idea if you could spend your time building it well having run a startup accelerator in Los Angeles called Founders boost where I trained more than 112 Founders who went on to raise more than $56 million in
0:33funding I can tell you that most entrepreneurs end up sinking years of their life and all of their savings Building Products that people don't use or products that people use but aren't willing to pay for and according to this graph 90% of apps in the App Store are zombie apps they have not been used in the past 30 days so unless you want to join this startup graveyard I highly recommend that you watch this video till the end you see there's a strategy that's been used in Silicon Valley for almost half a second Century it was developed by some of the smartest Minds like Eric rise and Steve blank that
1:04allows you to line up customers and build the exact features that they're willing to pay for without doing all the heavy lifting and it is called a smoke test so what is it and how can you build it leveraging no code and AI well it's actually a lot simpler than you might think the basic idea is that you build a landing page that presents your offer and then you go out and sell it before you actually build it what you don't actually build it that's right and you're going to be doing this for two important reasons you see most people take most of their time building
1:31beautiful products and then launch them just to hear crickets and so the first reason is to see if we can get demand for this product or get someone to take an action that proves to us they're willing to buy and the second reason is because we need to build the exact features that solve the problem and deliver the ultimate outcome to our potential customers so the question now is how do we actually test this stuff we actually do this through a CTA or a call to action in other words just a button really and by clicking on that button it shows us their intent to buy so for
1:59example if we were building an app we could have a fake download button and if people click on it we know they'd be interested in at least using this app if we were selling a physical product we could have a fake buy button that would show the intent to purchase the item and at this point you're probably thinking Christian I don't have an app I don't have a product and I don't have a service to sell yet well no problem at all because as soon as they click on that button we're going to tell them we are currently out of stock for example please sign up to be the next notified
2:24when we have more or the app is still being built be the first to find out when it launches and the overall goal of this entire strategy is to get people to sign up to your email list which lines them up to be future customers and gives you a way to contact them so you can understand exactly what it is they're looking for this product okay so that's enough for the explanation now let's talk about how to build this with no code and Ai and then how we're going to drive traffic towards this smoke test at the end of this video I'll be giving you three more strategy that you can use to
2:50validate and test your startup idea like the one dropbox used to go from 5 to 75,000 users overnight but for now back to the smoke test let's talk about step one the first thing we need to do is to understand the ultimate outcome that our customer is looking for in this product and to use an example I'll be talking about the no code startup which is our no code accelerator program so what's the ultimate desire or ultimate outcome in our case it is to launch your next startup with no code the next element we want is our oneliner which is a little bit more product oriented we're
3:20describing the product and what it does for the customer so in our case it is the no code startup is an online accelerator program for entrepreneurs to launch their next startup idea with no code tools so let's quickly break that down so you can have it for yours name of product the no code startup in our case is simplified product description a Hands-On startup accelerator the exact customer that you're trying to Target so in our case it's entrepreneurs thing that your customer is trying to accomplish or their desired outcome launch their startup with no code tools once we have our oneliner we want to talk about the benefits so these should
3:51not be mistaken with the features of your product but more with the smaller benefits people are looking for in their Journey to the ultimate outcome so an AR case it would be test your startup idea cost effectively build your MVP with no code tools and then get your first paying customers because obviously it's only a business once you have a first paying customer so those are our three benefits think of which ones are yours then I want you to write down some key features so the features are the things that allow you to deliver the benefits to the customer so for us it's a program that helps entrepreneurs launching their
4:22startups right so features are things like step-by-step video curriculum that brings you to action the weekly coaching sessions that each founder gets in our community or a private video support channel so try to write down three or four features that deliver the benefits that you're promising a little bit higher up in the smoke test and once we have all these elements we have to think about the call to action or what we're actually going to write on this button so in our case it is apply now and it brings you to an application and then we have conversations with the founders and see whether we accept them or not for
4:52you it could be a buy button it could be a download button it could be a book a call so think carefully about an action that would really prove that there actually is demand behind your product okay so now that we've broken down the important parts about the offer now we go into step two which is branding and content in this step I'm going to break down the things you need and the tools you can use to get there quicker the first one is a logo and there are two AI generators that I use for this one is logo master. a and the second one is
5:17Luca L Ka a. a I believe or. anyway all the links are going to be in the description under this so make sure to check out the description box the second thing you'll need is a color palette for this I usually use cooler and this will allow you to very quickly come up with a primary color for your website or your brand and for some secondary and tertiary colors as well now the third thing you're going to need here is copy writing to write copy for your website and for your offer so for this I usually use chat GPT and or CLA 2 I find that
5:48clae 2 usually brings me to better written English but chat GPT usually gives me a really good version as well and so for this I'd go back to step one and I would actually ask the AI to write it out for me this is what my product does and for who and all that please write out a oneline description of my product here are some of the benefits copyright for that here are some of the features and here is the call to action and you could ask for different variations you could do it in both and then you could pretty much bring it together and create your own version and
6:15once you're done with copywriting we need to jump into illustrations now for this some people would say use Dolly but there's another tool I've been using that's actually a lot more effective than this and it's Microsoft designer they actually have a design co-pilot that you can use and the outcomes are dramatically different when I asked it to create an image which was an app inside someone's hand with a blurry background of a gym that showed some Metric and some graphs on that these are the images that it generated when I copied the same prompt and brought it to DOI this is the result it pretty much
6:44looks like my 1-year-old created this and based on those results I'll let you guys make the decision on which one to choose and then if you needed some icons or if you needed some photography you could get them from a stock photography like unsplash or icons from a place like icon 8 which brings us to step number three which is to build the landing page p and for this we're going to be using no code tools if you're a complete beginner I would start with platforms like card or like softer and if you're intermediate I would probably go for something like framer or web flow where
7:10you could get even more beautiful design but it comes at the expense of a little bit of a learning curve so here we're going to structure the landing page in a very simple way we're going to have a hero section where we have a oneliner ultimate outcome and your subtitle below that is going to be your on line description and on the other side you're going to have an image or an illustration that showcases what this actually does for people the next section is going to be the benefits that people get from using this product then the features and then we're going to have a call to action now step four is
7:36going to be to grab all of your assets your logo your illustrations your imagery your copywriting and input it inside this website structure or one pager then you're going to finetune it make sure that it looks nice on all devices and pretty much publish it now before we actually launch it and because we need to understand exactly what people are doing once they come to this offer we're going to set up tracking and analytics now for this the only thing that I would do for at the moment would be to attach hot jar now hot jar is a tool that allows you to see what each
8:03individual does when they land on this landing page and it also allows you to see a heat map which means what are most people doing how far down are they scrolling where are these individuals clicking and where are we ultimately losing these people and so all you have to do is create an account grab a little piece of code you put it inside the footer of your website builder and that's pretty much it you don't need to learn how to code don't worry and now that we've created the smoke test let's put it to action but at this point if you don't know how to code and you want
8:28to learn how to implement the steps that we've just talked about you can check out we have a course bundle in the description here that's literally going to break down every single step and show you how to do it in great detail it's called the ultimate course bundle and not only will it teach you how to test and validate your products it'll also teach you the fundamentals of no code it'll have introductory courses on several different platforms to fit your needs and yes we have a full course on how to come up with killer ideas and how to choose which idea to take action on now back to the video now that we have
8:57this smoke test built out we're going to want to drive traffic towards it and the best platform to do that is what we're going to be teaching you in Step six since we only have 24 hours to test out this idea and because Facebook and Instagram are the same company we're going to be running ads on this platform because Facebook has the most advanced targeting that you can imagine on the internet you can Target by interest you can Target very specifically by location by actual City by income bracket psychro Graphics blah blah blah blah basically allows us to really narrow down the exact customer we think think we want to
9:30Target with this product and to put ads in front of that person to see if they respond in a way that brings them to the landing page and gets them to give us their email address but how do we get set up Christian I'm not a marketer I don't know how to do Facebook ads well rest assure it's pretty easy the first thing you're going to do is go to Facebook ads and to create an account once you've created the account you're going to create an ad now in many cases we're going to want to Target things like conversions or leads but in this case we're going to be creating a
9:55campaign that's focused around traffic so getting traffic towards this landing page and our core goal is to get these people on the landing page and giving us their email address so once you've set up that campaign goal we're going to go into targeting here I would highly recommend that you target people in a specific country most likely the us but you could do it for any country or any City that your target market is in I would then narrow in on some specific interest that these people have so if I was going to Target people who love dogs for example I might start targeting people who like a specific dog group on
10:26Facebook because we've already created some imagery and some copyrighting we're going to be able to reuse that and once you've targeted a specific segment the next thing is going to be to actually create the ads so here you're going to be able to use a combination between the copywriting that you have on your landing page and the imagery that you created for it and if you don't know how to do this just use ai go to chat GPT and give it a role say something like you are a Facebook marketing professional with 20 years experience then give it a goal you need to write three individual ads based on this
10:55copywriting input copywriting that we created earlier and just like that it's going to pump out different versions of the ads you can adapt them as you wish and for the budget if you're trying to do this in 24 hours then I would put all of your budget within the 24 hours but I would usually spread it out through a couple of days if you have the time so if you for example had a week I would put $10 a day for a week and remember this whole test is about testing if there is demand not necessarily getting sales so don't spend too too much money I would say maximum $100 for the budget
11:22it's just to get some preliminary results to see what the next step looks like okay now what are we looking for in these results well we're looking looking for how many people are actually clicking on the ad and going towards the landing page and then we're trying to see how many people have actually given us their email if we're getting about 100 people going on the landing page and we're getting anywhere between two and five results I'd say that's already pretty positive feedback and we're on to something if we get less than that we might want to consider either rerunning this test or that potentially the demand
11:53might be to a different customer base and this is really the main goal of the smoke test and by the way in parallel you should try to put this smoke test in front of a lot of other people not just through Facebook ads so that's how you test your idea leveraging a smoke test but here are three other strategies that you can use to launch your startup and validate it quickly the first one is called Forum searching this process is basically where you go online and search for people who are trying to solve the problem that you want to solve it could be in forums in communities in platforms
12:22like pora where people ask their questions and you see people in the comment section they could even be in the review sections of some of your your competitors if you're looking at an app and what you want to do is start Gathering screenshots of validation for your product and the two main keys of validation are is there a problem and who is that problem targeting or solving the customer and so this is a process through which you take screenshots that validate the problem and to validate the customer who's interested in solving this problem now the second strategy is called card sorting so this is a strategy where you get people in a room
12:53or on a zoom call and these are potential customers that you think might be interested in your product you beforehand are going to write down all of your hypotheses so for example all the problems that you think they have all the benefits that you think they're looking for in a product and then what you do is that you get them to sort them in order of importance and you're going to see that usually your assumptions are very different from what the market sentiment actually is and it allows you to rep prioritize features benefits and usually helps you completely change the way you talk about your product
13:23altogether and my friend the third strategy is the same one that Dropbox used to go from 5,000 to 75,000 users and the same one the Dollar Shave Club used to become basically a billion dooll company in a matter of a couple years and that is the video explainer ultimately we create a video that does a very similar thing to the smoke test it breaks down the offer and everything that you can get it's usually quite entertaining and it talks about the product and the outcome that it can deliver to its customers and then what we're really doing is testing how many people are watching the video and how
13:55many people are signing up on the landing page taking the call to action that we might have at the end of the video Dollar Shave Club created this very funny video the Dropbox video was kind of funny but it mostly talked about the benefits that people could get and again they were able to gauge the interest and more importantly the actions of potential customers before they had built out this fancy product before they had a huge warehouse and these are just a couple of the many validation strategies that you can use to launch your startup and if you want to become an entrepreneur but you don't
14:21have a startup idea then take actions to be able to generate startup ideas instead of just waiting for that light moment to explode and if you just want to steal a validated startup idea then check out this video because I'm going to talk about five startups that you can build with no code tools and my friends if you want more tips and tricks to launch with no code and AI then subscribe to this channel too it's totally free you can literally just do it right now and not spend a penny thanks for watching everyone take care
