This is the full transcript of How I Sell $5,000 Websites with Claude + New Stitch 2.0, published on YouTube by Jason Lee. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00I just built a website that would normally cost $5,000 to build in just 3 minutes and I did that using Google Stitch, Google's new design tool where you can create beautiful functioning websites even if you have zero experience. Now, the problem is 99% of people don't know how to build a website that actually sells, which is why in this video I'm going to show you exactly how to build websites that people pay thousands of dollars for cuz there's really no point of doing this if you can't make money from it. Now, this is not a technical video. You don't need to know how to code. If you know how to
0:26click buttons and you've used ChatGPT before to ask questions you can definitely do this. So, let's dive straight in. So, today we're going to be using two AI tools. First one is Google Stitch, a new powerful version was just released and it's honestly mind-blowing. You just describe what you want in plain English and it will build the entire website for you and it's completely free. The second tool is Claude Code, which is going to build out all the functionality behind the website. Now, I know when you hear the word code that
0:53might sound scary, but it's not, right? I don't know how to code either. Claude does everything for you. And at the end of the video I'm also going to show you two more free tools to get the whole thing on the internet so you can send your client a live URL that they can actually open. So, that part takes just about 3 minutes. So, I'll be adding timestamps to this video, so feel free to jump around. All right, so I'm going to open up Google Stitch. To access this, you just go to a stitch.withgoogle.com
1:16and it's completely free, by the way. You just log in with your Gmail account and you will land on this page. Now, I want to show you what you can actually get with a very short prompt and then I'm going to build out a more complicated website. But, let's start with a simple one and I'm just going to generate a random website for a furniture store. So, my prompt is this, generate a website for a furniture store
1:35in mid-century style and call it Sofi. So, I want to highlight their sofas, keep it clean and minimalistic. And then down here you have an option to build an app or website. I'm going to choose website for now and you have some models here. I'm going to pick flash for now. You can get better results with thinking, but I just want to show you
1:52what the basic will actually get you. So, I'm going to hit generate and in just a few minutes this is what you get. It's really clean and it's got all the images and I think this looks really premium. And it even built out the entire site for me. It's got the main page, then you've got the product page where you can see the product and then you've got the about us page as well as the search results page. And to be honest, I think this looks good already. I wouldn't change a thing. All the fonts, all the
2:17colors, I think everything looks great. Now, one thing that I really like about Google Stitch is that it gives you a color palette straight from this design here. So, you can swap out any color here and it applies directly across the entire website. And this is what you get from one prompt and I think that this is just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do here because I just wanted to show you what it can do with just two sentences of prompting. So, anyway, that is just a quick demo. We're not going to build a furniture store today cuz I want to talk about which businesses you
2:46should be targeting cuz you don't want to just go after any business. You want to find the businesses that will most likely say yes to you. And for me, I think the best business to target is contractors. And we're talking about plumbers, landscapers, AC repair guys, all the local service businesses. Now, the reason for this is that a lot of these guys, they either have no website at all or what they have is really bad that is basically hurting their business. And I'm going to show you what I mean. So, if you go to Google Maps right now and you go to the Los Angeles area just for an example and you just
3:14search for HVAC. If you scroll down, you're going to find that some of these businesses still don't have a website. All right, so we have one here, Adams HVAC, no website. Long Beach HVAC, no website again. Although these guys have reviews already, but for some reason they don't have a website. If I scroll down one more, there's another one here with 50 reviews, don't have a website. Another one here in Beverly Hills, don't have a website. This one here, don't have a website. No website here. And this is a big city, guys. And if I just click on one of these businesses that have a website, they look like this. Like they
3:44look like they were built 10, 20 years ago and I think they look really bad, very cluttered and definitely can use an upgrade. Now, there's one thing I want to clarify. Don't try to go and sell a pretty website to a business cuz businesses, they don't care about having beautiful websites. They only care about whether the website is going to make them more money or save them money, right? So, I'm going to show you a couple of features that you should have on the website that will help the business make more money and how to add those features to your website. Now, before we redesign the website, you have
4:11to understand that every website has two parts, right? Two layers here. So, the front end and the back end. The front end is basically what you see when you open the website, the design, the colors, the visuals and we're going to do that with Google Stitch. Now, the back end is the engine behind it. This is what makes the pages connect together and any forms or that you want to embed on the website, any live chat widgets, that is the back end and we're going to build that with Claude. So, you want to think of this like a car. The front end is the car itself and how it looks and
4:42the back end is the engine that makes the car run, right? And that's where Claude comes in. Now, for this video today, we're going to use this website here, Verona HVAC, and we're going to redesign this and we're going to pull all the content from this website and we're going to ask AI to redesign it into a very beautiful website and even add features to it and make it look a lot better. Quick ad break from our sponsor Kittl, an AI-first design platform where you can generate images, videos using the latest AI models all in one place. So, you can create your designs and use your favorite AI model
5:13to make it come to life. about Kling, VEO, Runway, and even the new Nando Banana 2. So, you can go from a design idea to a finished image or video without switching between a bunch of tools. I have personally been using it to create my YouTube thumbnails and quality has been amazing. Now, you can try Kittl for free. I'm going to put the link down below and if you love it and you're ready to upgrade, you can enter the code Jason here and you'll get 25% off the Pearl or the Expert plan. Now, back to the video. Now, the first step you want to take is you want to figure
5:41out if there's anything you want to add or remove from this website cuz obviously when I look at this website, it's very cluttered with all these images and I don't see any reviews here. I have to scroll down all the way here to see some reviews, which is really important to convert people into customers, right? And there's no live chat widget here. How do I contact this business? Uh it gives you a phone number here, but that introduces a lot of friction. So, if I click on this widget
6:06here and this is not even a live chat. So, definitely need that. Now, if you're not sure on how to optimize a website, you can simply go to Claude or ChatGPT and you can ask it to analyze the website, give it the URL and it actually give you some suggestions. And I'm going to show you how to do that. So, if I go to Claude and just type in this prompt here, I want to redesign this website for an HVAC company. Tell me the features that I need to have for a business like this so it can convert more clients. Write it in a prompt that
6:31I can easily copy and paste into Google Stitch to design the website. And then I'm just going to paste in the URL here and hit go. And after just a few minutes, it gave me a full site audit of this website. So, it gave me a list of all the things that is missing or has a problem with. So, for example, there's no contact form on the homepage, there's zero on-page reviews, and there's no live chat on the widget. So, you can go through all this and look at the things that you want to include in your redesign. And because I asked for it, it even gave me a prompt that I can just
7:00copy and paste into Google Stitch, right? So, I'm just going to click here to copy the whole prompt and go back to Google Stitch and create a new project here and just paste the prompt and I'm just going to pick this model here, Thinking with 3.1 Pro cuz I think it should give you a better quality, right? So, I'm just going to hit generate and it's going to do its thing now. And this
7:19in a few minutes, this is what we get. It's a lot cleaner. We've got the form here. It's got this announcement on the top bar and same-day repair, we answer 24/7. It pulled in all the information from the old website and just brought it over here in just a couple minutes. And if I scroll down here, you're going to see that it front-loaded the reviews as well, prominent on the website. It's got a live chat widget as well. If I scroll down, it's got all these images here and then we've got this optional thing if you want and then some common questions, the service area, and then the footer
7:50here. And let's take a look at the mobile version here. Even built this for us. And also, here is the example of the about us page. So, apparently there's an error here with the image, so we can definitely fix that and I think everything else is really well designed. And it even gave us this color palette, which is really nice. Again, you can change all these colors and it will apply immediately. Yeah, just So, just look at that. If I just compare this with what you have currently, it is really a night and day difference. Now, if you want to make changes, you can simply select this page here and you can
8:19either prompt it, like let's say if you want to remove this form for whatever reason, you can just ask it to do it here. Or if it's simpler edit, you can just use the pencil icon and then you can start changing the text, maybe 24/7 repair, something like that. You can do it right away. Now, once you're happy with the design, you want to bring this website to life and we're going to use Claude to build out the back end, all the functionality, all the database and it's actually super simple to do. So, what you want to do now is you want to select all these designs. So, I'm just
8:46going to Ctrl A and then hit export here. I'm just going to download this as zip and then hit export. So, what that's going to do is it's going to take all the screenshots of all these files and also the HTML code behind this design. And this is what it looks like once you've downloaded all the files here. So, it's got four different folders and we're going to use all this and bring it to Claude and ask it to analyze it and then build the website for us. Now, there's a couple ways to access Claude Code. You can just download the desktop app and on the third tab, you'll see
9:15code and you can do things here. But, for me, I like to use Claude Code within Google's Antigravity cuz I just like the layout. You can see all my files here and then I can use Claude Code in the middle here and I also have another agent on the right side. Now, if you want to use Antigravity, it's free to download from Google and then once you're here, uh you need to install the Claude extension here. You click on the left side and just search for Claude and you'll see it and you just have to install it and just in a couple seconds, you'll have it ready. And if you want to
9:42open new session, you can just click on this orange button here and you'll have a new session. All right, so I'm going to close this extension now cuz I already have this installed. And to pull the file explorer here, you just click on this button here and you'll see all the files that Claude Code is able to see cuz Claude Code is actually going to write and make changes to your files, so it has access to your folders here. So, it's going to actually do things for you as opposed to you doing everything yourself. So, if you look to the left here, you see that this folder is the
10:09one that we downloaded from Google Stitch, and it has all these four folders, right? Now, what we're going to do here is going to give it just a very simple prompt. So, I'm going to write here, "I want to build a website. The front-end design files are in the Verona folder. Build in localhost." So, what I'm trying to do here is ask it to build out the entire website, and I want to be able to open it on Google Chrome on my local machine. So, I'm just going to hit this button here, and then it's just going to do its thing. Now, it's sometimes going to ask you for
10:35permission, so I'm just going to say yes to all this. Basically, it wants to access this folder here and make changes to these files, all right? So, we're going to wait for a couple minutes. So, while this is working, I just want to explain to you what's happening on the right side here. Why I do like this window on the right side. So, while Cloud is working here, if I have a question on something I don't understand, like maybe I don't understand what this bash means, I'll just take a screenshot of this, and I can just upload it to this section here, and I can just ask it, "Hey, what does
11:02this mean?" The beauty of the but this is that I can use a different AI model to answer those simple questions. So, I don't have to wait until this is done, and I can just ask it questions simultaneously. So, this is kind of my helper agent here, while this is the agent that's doing the work. And we're
11:17done. We are live at this address here. So, I'm just going to copy this URL and open a new tab, paste it here, and you're going to see that it is working now. All right? So, you can see that all the form is clickable. Um drop down is here, and then you've got this uh animation here. If I scroll down here, you got the reviews. So, exactly the same like what we designed in Google Stitch. And if I go to this uh maybe
11:43about us page here, it's also working. So, I can go back and forth. Everything is clickable, and uh yeah, I think this looks really good. Now, the next step is to get this website live on the internet, so everybody else can view it. You can show it to your clients, right? Now, it is very easy to do this. You just need to sign up to two other tools,
12:00which are completely free, by the way. And number one is GitHub and Vercel. So, GitHub is a place where you can store all your website files or the HTML files, all the codes, and all the images that's needed to run the website, right? So, think of this as a Google Drive. So, you can create individual folders here for every single one of your websites, and then connect it to Vercel. And again, both these tools are actually free. If you want a tutorial on how to set all this up from the ground up, you want to go to YouTube, and they I think there's already plenty of tutorials
12:28doing that. But, I have this GitHub set up already. So, I'm just going to create a new repository here. So, this means that I'm just creating a new folder for my website, and I'm just going to call it Verona Hvac. All right, so it is available. I don't need to put a description here, and just make it public, and just simply create repository. Now, once this is done, I'm just going to copy this, and this is just a link with the ending of dot git, and that you're going to bring it over to Cloud Code to move all the website files into this folder here, right? So,
12:57I'm going to copy this, go back to Cloud Code, and I'm going to say, "I want to deploy this website. Move all the files into this git repo and deploy. Use Vercel to publish the website." And you want to hit go. And if you're not sure of something, you can ask it to clarify, "Hey, what tokens you need? How do I do this? How do I do that?" And it's actually going to guide you through every single step, and that's the beauty of this, right? I'm going to hit allow here, and then let it work. All right, that looks like it's done. So, all five files are live on GitHub. So, if I go to
13:35GitHub here, I'm going to see that all of these are actually here. So, it did successfully do that. Now, next step is I'm going to go to Vercel here, and I'm going to create new project, and I'm just going to paste in the git URL here that we created earlier, and I hit deploy. I'm going to confirm everything and hit create. Now, this is just going to take a couple seconds, and now deployed. So, I can just click on this one here, and website's live. So, you can give anybody this URL, and they're going to be able to access it from anywhere. Now, of course, when you
14:03actually sign on a new client, you want to uh add a new domain, and you want to take their domain and attach it to here, and that's very easy to do as well with Vercel. So, you can go down here, and you can add a domain. So, that's how easy it is to create a website with Google Stitch and build it out with Cloud Code, and then deploy it live. So, if you think about it, the only cost to this is actually your Cloud subscription, which is about 17 bucks a month, and Vercel is free, GitHub is free, and Siteravity is got the product taken care of. Let's talk about the
14:30business side of things. And I've got three tips here. First, you want to master one niche. Pick one industry, and you want to master it, right? So, an HVAC company and a real estate agent has very different set of problems. So, you want to understand the pain points of one industry deeply, so you can build a repeatable system. So, this way you can reuse everything, right? Your pitch, your process, your website templates for every single client. Second, you don't want to just sell a pretty website. You want to sell features that actually help the business make more money, cuz that's what's going to make you more money,
15:02too, right? So, what are those features? First, you want to install a voice AI agent. So, a lot of big companies are already using these for customer service, but a lot of local contractors haven't caught on yet, right? So, think about it. These guys are out on the job all day. You know, they can't pick up the phone, and when a customer calls and nobody answers, they just move on to the next business, right? And that is
15:20thousands of dollars in lost revenue. So, you can install a voice agent like this that answers the phone 24/7. You want to train it on everything about the business, the services, the pricing, and you can even connect it to the calendar, so you can book appointments automatically. So, this way the business owner can be on holidays and still getting jobs booked, and that is a massive value add. Now, the tool I recommend for this is Go High Level. I think they have a really solid voice AI system. It's super realistic, and I actually made a video about this recently. Basically, you just set up a new phone number inside of Go High Level
15:48and attach the voice agent to it, and it just display that number on the website. The second feature that's valuable is a live chat widget, which is also AI-powered, right? So, some people don't want to make a call. They'd rather type in a quick question, get an answer straight away, and this way you reduce that friction for them. This is another easy install, and another thing that makes the website actually valuable for the business, and you can use something like Intercom for this, right? Now, here's where the real money is, and I think a lot of people miss this. Trying to convince a business to pay you 5K is
16:16not always going to be easy. That's why I recommend selling monthly retainers. And you've already seen how easy it is to build a website. We did it in like 5-10 minutes. So, instead of charging 5 grand up front, you can actually offer the website for free or for a very small fee, just to get them in the door, right? And then you want to charge them a monthly retainer, and that retainer can be anywhere from $500 to $2,000, depending on what you're offering on your website. Cuz most of the time these businesses, they need to update their copy, change their images, that kind of thing, right? These guys are not
16:44technical at all. They have no idea or even have the time to do any of that, right? But, you do, and it takes you 5 minutes with Cloud Code. Now, what's going to get you closer to the $2,000 mark is when you start adding AI tools like voice agents and live chat, like we just discussed, right? Cuz if they were to hire a real human receptionist, that's going to cost them like $4,000 a month for just one person who works just 8 hours a day. But, with this, you're offering them an AI agent that works 24/7, never calls in sick, and it costs them 2K per month. I think that's a
17:11no-brainer for a business. So, the math is actually very simple. To make 10K per month as an agency, you just need 10 clients paying you $1,000 a month. And even if you give the website away for free and just live off of the retainer, that is still a really solid business. So, I think this is a great business idea that anybody can do without any experience, right? This 10 years ago, this is limited to people who are developers, but today, anybody can do this, right? If you like this idea, you want to see another video, I think you're going to like this one here. See
17:38you there.
