This is the full transcript of How I'd Start a $10K/Month 1-Person Business With Claude AI in 30 Days, published on YouTube by Patrick Dang. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00Starting a one-person business and personal brand with Claude AI is the biggest opportunity for 2026. On one side, you have people building billion-dollar one-person businesses. And on the other end, you have everyday 9-5 employees building their side hustles and quitting their full-time jobs. I mean, why build somebody else's dreams when you should be building your own? Now, at this point, you probably have watched a bunch of videos on how to make money with AI. But, let me ask you an important question. How much money have you made so far? Zero, right? And look, it's not your fault. All these creators on YouTube are just making these random technical videos and
0:32tutorials, but they never show you the most important part, which is how do you actually make money? And look, I'm not just saying this, I actually used to be a six-figure tech sales rep working in Silicon Valley. But, I took a chance on myself, moved over to Vietnam to build my personal brand and business, and now I have over 400,000 YouTube subscribers,
0:48and I make more than $100,000 per month. And the best part is, I get to travel all around the world every single month and work from anywhere in the world as long as I have a laptop, a camera, [music] and an internet connection. I helped my client Shawn go from literally just a couple hundred views every YouTube video, and his last video got over 100,000 views. My other client Mona, who recently just pivoted into the AI space, her first video in AI got 97,000 views, and the second got 173,000 [snorts] views. And Sandy went from an insurance sales manager to over 70,000 subscribers, and now she makes over
1:19$50,000 per month. And I want to give a quick shoutout to our partner for this video, ASUS. Now, I've been using this ASUS ExpertBook for a while now, and this thing is a beast. It has a 70-W battery that literally [music] lasts 24 hours a day. And it only weighs 21 lb. It also has a 50-W TDP performance with 9H military-grade durability for mobile professionals. This means I can take this laptop to run my business from anywhere, and it stays cool even at a cafe in the hot summers of Vietnam. And even if I drop it, I'm not even worried because the durability is military-grade. And the 3K display is
1:51extremely vibrant that I can pretty much take a call from anywhere, even in the sun. So, whether you're on the go like me, working from cafes, or working from home, you have to understand that with the AI boom, it's now possible for anyone to break into the AI space. If you have an internet connection, a laptop like the ASUS ExpertBook, as well as AI tools, you can pretty much start a one-person business from anywhere in the world. In this video, I'm going to show you how I personally do this myself, so you can follow step-by-step. And no, you do not need a big team to do this,
2:20because with AI, you're going to be able to do the work of 10 people by yourself. But first, let me show you how big this AI opportunity really is. Now, it's no secret that we are actually in the AI boom, but let me just share with you some stats to show you how big it really is. Right now, the number one reason for why companies are cutting jobs is because of AI. They're basically replacing all of their employees to save on costs and make more profits. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing, because if they're replacing jobs with AI, instead of being a victim, why not take
2:48advantage of AI so you can profit from it, which is what I'm going to show you in this video. Now, in America, $1.7 trillion are earned every single year by US businesses, right? And almost 30 million of these businesses are actually sole entrepreneurs or one-person businesses, meaning 82% of all businesses in the US actually have zero employees. And the crazy part is 77% of them are profitable within the first year. And this is becoming more and more possible for everyday people because, look, AI like is doing all the work. You don't have to hire a bunch of employees anymore. And to show you how early we
3:19are into this AI wave, only 12% of the world actually use Claude on a regular basis. It has 1 billion users every single month. There are about 8.2 billion people in the world, so most people haven't really used it. And if you think about where we are in the adoption curve, and this is just how generally technology is adopted, whether it's the internet, cell phones, computers, right? We're basically in the early adopters phase. The innovators, you know, all the nerds were using AI in the past, but now everyday regular people are starting to use it on a day-to-day basis. But because only 12% of the world are using Claude on a
3:52regular basis, we still got, you know, 90% of the world to go. So, we are in fact early. Meaning, if you start a business or you create content around AI, every day there's more and more people downloading ChatGPT, trying to learn what's going on, and you can be the person that they learn from and actually build an audience fairly quickly. And this is growing so fast, I don't see any other industry in the world right now that can compete with AI in terms of its growth. So, this sounds good and all, but you might have some challenges when it comes to building a one-person business and a personal
4:23brand. So, what are these challenges if you're working full-time? Number one, you might be limited on time, right? You're working your main job from 9:00 to 5:00, you have only a couple hours, you know, after work and the weekends. And if you have kids or you're busy, it gets even tougher. Number two, you might be limited on capital, meaning you don't have a lot of budget for a team, for tools, kind of doing everything solo, right? And number three, maybe you have limited connections. So, you don't have a network, no mentor, and really just trying to figure it out as you go. But, don't worry, this is normal. So, why
4:51doing a one-person business with AI makes the most sense right now, especially building a personal brand, is this. Number one, is high profit margin, right? Because of AI, it reduces the cost to actually create content, get your name out there, and you don't really need full-time employees. Number two, it's lower stress, okay? You don't have to hire a bunch of people, it can just be you, your laptop, internet, maybe a camera, and then you're off to the races, right? You don't have to deal with all these expensive employees and overhead every single month. And number three, you can optimize your one-person business for your lifestyle. Meaning,
5:22instead of you working a job, building another person's dream, you can actually build a business that works for you and live the life you want to live. So, for me, for example, I used to be a tech sales rep, I lived in San Francisco, I worked at like Oracle, Silicon Valley, and uh I pretty much left it all to move over to Asia, and specifically now I'm in Vietnam, right? And because everything's online, and as long as I have an internet connection, I can pretty much work from anywhere in the world. When you create content, you put it on YouTube and LinkedIn and Instagram, people from all around the
5:48world can see it. In fact, most of my clients that I work with are actually from the US even though I'm living here. And on top of that, because everything's digital, I literally travel to another country pretty much every single month. I've actually traveled to, you know, places like Thailand. And right now what I'm doing is I'm traveling to the best Muay Thai gyms all over the world to learn different techniques from different people because it's fun. It's my hobby, right? But at the same time, I
6:09get to work from anywhere in the world. So, here you see a picture of me in my hotel over in Thailand. And the gym I was training at was actually right across the street at the mall that you see over there. So, I'll go training in the morning, and then at night I would do like live webinar, doing some trainings online and everything. And I just busted out my laptop, put a light there, put my camera there, and that's it, right? And you know, obviously at this point, you know, I'm making over $100,000 a month. So, I do have a small team. However, you know, it's a very
6:35small team for making 100K per month, right? Because with Cloud AI, it's so good nowadays. Number one, it can help you find your business idea, right? You know, built around your skills and experience and you know, combining that with AI. And I'll show you exactly how to find your business idea later in this video. Number two, when it comes to making content, it's going to help you find the content ideas, write your scripts, even edit your videos nowadays, right? Like these AIs are doing all the work. All you have to do is be the creative thinker and be the face of the brand. And number three, you can with AI
7:04and using other AI tools like Higgsfield, for example, you can actually create the thumbnails with AI, any kind of static images, videos, ads, you name it. So, even on my YouTube channel, all the thumbnails that we're creating, AI has a very big role in how I do all the visuals for my personal brand and my YouTube channel and all my socials. So, now let's get into starting your one-person business and personal brand even if you're still working a full-time job. Now, the common pitfalls I see when people are building a personal brand is they often switch up their business idea like every week and they get distracted by every new shiny
7:33business model they see. Another common pitfall is really not knowing what you should be doing each day because if you're working a full-time job, you only got a couple hours to work on your business, right? And if you're doing the wrong things, then you're just going to go nowhere fast. And [music] third, a lot of people still haven't made a single dollar yet, even though they've been researching for months and months trying to find the perfect business
7:54idea. Newsflash, there is no perfect. So, I'm going to help you overcome all these issues so that you can actually build a personal brand in the next 30 days [music] and ideally sign your first client, even if you're working a full-time job, meaning you have to spend at least, you know, just one or two hours a day on the workdays and your weekends. And the way I think about it is if you're willing to spend 40 hours a week building another person's dream, you owe it to yourself to spend 10 hours per week building your own. So, when it comes to starting your one-person business, you really have two paths
8:21here. The first path is the path of the creator. Essentially, you're creating content like I am on YouTube or Instagram, LinkedIn, depending on which one is your preference, and then you monetize your audience. Pretty simple, right? Now, the second path is going to be an AI-powered service. And this is for people who don't necessarily always want to be front-facing, and they just want to build a one-person business. You can still can have a personal brand, but the idea is you take any service that has already existed before AI, like cold emailing, SEO, YouTube script writing, right? And then you add AI on top of it to make it cheaper, faster, and better
8:55and start selling it to businesses. An AI-powered service is really just the intersection of a service and AI put together. And at the end of the day, you're selling the results, so don't get caught up on having these fancy automations. Nobody really wants that. They just want to either make money, save money, or save time. So, whether you take the path of the creator or the AI-powered service, you're going to need to understand holistically the high level of how the one-person business model actually works. Now, you want to think of it like a triangle, and if you can complete this triangle one time, then you're going to be able to sign
9:25your first client and actually make money building a one-person business. Now, the first step of the triangle is going to be the offer. An offer is essentially answering three questions. What do you sell? Who do you sell to? And what price do you charge? Are you selling some kind of service, an online course, maybe coaching or consulting? Any offer can work, it's just which ones you want to commit to. Now, once you have an offer, the next step is actually some sort of lead generation. So, it's either you're going to outreach people, meaning you're sending them messages, right? Cold, they don't know who you are, or you are building a personal
9:54brand, which is what we're going to talk a lot about today, which is you're creating content on YouTube and LinkedIn. Now, the good part about building a personal brand is that if you create content and you do outreach on top of that, more people know who you are and they're more likely to respond. And if they don't know who you are, they can just check out your profiles and because if you have a lot of followers,
10:12that's going to be instant credibility. Now, the whole goal of lead generation is to get them to step three, which is some kind of monetization mechanism. For the most part, if you're selling a service like a high-ticket thing that costs thousands of dollars per month, let's say it's a LinkedIn ghostwriting agency, you're going to want to get the person on the phone and sell them on a call. Now, you can also do webinars. I do webinars. You can also do like sales pages, landing pages where people just go on your website and just buy something, right? It really just depends on what your offer is. But in general,
10:40if you're selling something, let's say two or three thousand dollars plus, I would highly recommend getting on a call cuz it's not that easy to get someone to buy on the credit card for a price point that high. Now, to help you find your business idea and go through this entire loop, I actually have a free Claude skill. It's called the one-person business blueprint and you want to go to the link in the description to download it. You can drag and drop this skill into your Claude and it will prompt you and ask you a series of questions to understand who you are, what you love,
11:08what you want to do, and it will help you and research find business ideas that specifically fit you. And not only that, but it's going to map out an entire game plan on what your personal brand should look like and what do the next 30 days look like in terms of getting your first client. So, I went ahead and did an example and this is essentially what I do for my clients through FounderX, which is the program I teach people in. And essentially, if you enter your information, it's going to give you an entire document that's is to map out your entire one-person business plan from the overall blueprint of what
11:37exactly you're selling, what is the service, how you combining your skills with AI to create something new. It's going to go into, you know, what is it that you're going to be selling and it actually researches your competitors pricing and goes on the websites, Reddit, wherever it can find data and then it'll scrape it all and give it to you in a package so you can generally understand if this is something people are going to pay for. And it even lists out, you know, who your competitors are and then it's going to give these different sources as well. And if you want to build a personal brand around
12:04this so that you attract clients, it's going to give you your competitors personal brands and give you an idea of like what they're doing, how much you're charging and it's going to help you find your positioning on where you can stand out from everybody else, which is very important and what we're going to cover later in this video. And then from there it's going to cover like the outreach of how you're going to reach out to these people if you just want to like get on the call and sell them. And finally, obviously, the 30-day plan of what you need to do from day zero all the way to
12:30day 30 in order to get your first client. All right, so now let's go ahead and get into the path of the creator. Now, if you want to be a creator, essentially, you want to build a personal brand and the reason for that is because you want people to come to you. Now, with just an internet connection, a laptop, maybe your iPhone and some AI, you're going to be able to build a personal brand like on YouTube or on Instagram, it depends where you want to grow and I'm going to show you exactly how. But before we get into that, I want to show you what the
12:55overall model is going to look like. So, essentially, you build a personal brand so that you create content, you generate traffic so that you build a following. Essentially, you want to get that following and you want to push them onto your website or your landing pages so that you can turn these viewers into leads. You're going to either, you know, have a lead magnet to collect their email, all right, you give away some free things or you can just directly book a call. Now, when you book a call with them, you get on the phone with them and you close. Now, the easiest way to actually make money with a personal
13:22brand is just to sell something at a high price point, maybe a couple thousand dollars, and then you close them. So, let me show you how this is done, and I'm going to be using my ASUS ExpertBook to show you step-by-step on how to do it. So, let's say you want to build a personal brand on YouTube. There are essentially five steps you need to understand very clearly. Step number one, you need to find ideas. Step two, thumbnails. Step three, the titles. Step four, going to be the scripts. And step five is the slides or diagrams if you choose to do so. Now, we're going to hop
13:50into my ASUS ExpertBook, and I'm going to show you how I personally do this using Claude. Now, I'm going to use the Claude scale that I created for myself called the PD Idea Validator. And I'm going to say, "Help me research the best ideas on how to start a one-person business using Claude." Now, once I enter it, AI is going to be doing all the work, and I'm doing it all on my ASUS ExpertBook here. As you can see here, it's going to connect to my VidIQ account. It's going to connect to the internet to really see like what are going to be the best ideas. And it's
14:16great that it's pulling all this data. And this ASUS laptop here can pretty much handle all everything I need when it comes to researching, right? Here, it's going to create an artifact for me on Claude, and it's going to essentially look like this. What I've done is I created this skill that allows me just to see, you know, whether or not ideas are going to be any good. You know, it'll tell me like what the narrative is, or how high the demand is for this particular video, supply meaning how crowded it is. So, meaning like if too many people are making this video idea,
14:42maybe I don't want to do it, right? Because I always want to look for high demand, low supply. Then it's going to give me an analysis of like all the top videos I can take inspiration from, keyword volume as well to see how many people are typing it into YouTube. And it's even going to give me some suggestions on other ideas that are somewhat related that might be a better opportunity for me to jump on. So, once I have the idea, it's pretty easy to just take the ideas that are already working, remix it to come up with my title. The next step is going to be the
15:07thumbnail. And these days, you don't need to hire another thumbnail designer. You can actually just do it yourself all within Claude. This is one of my thumbnails I made before. Claude's Side Hustles at Night worked pretty well. And let's say I just want to use the same thing, but just switch out the image in the back. So, I'm just going to go on Claude and say, "Hey, take the thumbnail, change the background, and I want to use Higgs Field." So, Claude is really good cuz it connects with other apps like Higgs Field, and I use this for a lot of my image generations. And I said, "Hey, let's change the background
15:32to the moon." And so, off the bat, this character is just sitting on a rock on the moon with the Earth in the back. And actually, it looks pretty good. Like, it is already good enough to post on my YouTube channel. All I really needed to do was just use Claude on my laptop, and that's it. So, I basically get that, use it for the thumbnail, and then the next step is [music] to write the actual script. So, after using the prompt in Claude, basically, it's going to give me this file where it's going to be my script. So, it gives the research brief, the title, thumbnails, and the hook word
15:58for word, and then it's going to give me the chapters. So, for the most part, as long as I have my laptop and I'm just using these prompts, it's fairly simple for me to create the uh scripts for my YouTube channel. What I typically like to do is I actually like to create slides for my video. So, you can see here, I'm like, "Hey, use Figma." And then, I'm going to take that script and create all the diagrams and everything like that. And I'll show you what it looks like. So, as you can see here, all the diagrams and everything for my slides is just made with Claude, you
16:24know? I don't need to be a designer. Uh I don't need to hire a bunch of people. I can literally just have my imagination, couple Claude skills, and I can just do it all in one laptop. And from my experience, I never had any overheating issues or any hiccups when it comes to performance when I'm using this laptop. It just runs everything very smoothly. And now, when you do build a personal brand, one of the most important aspect is actually building a website. So, when I go into Claude, let's say I want to build a new landing page, right? say, "Help me build my website uh for a book a call page using
16:51my HTML references." So, I'll typically find other websites I like, put it in here, and then it's going to give me the output. So, as you can see here, I gave it like a photo of me and everything like that. And then, we're going to fix this up so that we're going to be including a book a call page. Now, just using these Claude skills, I'm going to show you what the results look like. So, here's the final results. So, essentially, when I create content on YouTube, I want sometimes I want people to book a call, right? So, they go on this page, explains like why they should
17:17book a call with me, you press the button, it will scroll all the way down, and then it will go to book a call. Now, the cool part about this is not only does it look good, it's like kind of interactive, right? But also, the page interacts with the Calendly page. So, if somebody So, it makes it the dark and orange aesthetic, they pick a time, they pick next, and then I have them fill out information, right? But you see here, it also, you know, moves them along the process and says, "Okay, like fill out your details and then confirmed." So, it's pretty cool that you don't need a website designer
17:47to design something that actually looks pretty good because in the past, before I started really using AI, this is like years ago, I would pay someone like $1,000, $2,000 to put together this kind of website, but now I can do it myself in like 15 minutes and just a couple prompts and a laptop and and that's it, and that's crazy. And for the most part, if you're starting to build a personal brand, a one-person business, um you can sell courses and things like that, but I would highly recommend building a page like this so that people can actually book a call. That way, when you get them
18:12on the phone, you can actually just sell them for a higher price point uh versus trying to get them to buy something much cheaper. And important part about building a personal brand is that when you do have a personal brand, let's say on YouTube or LinkedIn or wherever, when you do any type of outbound, if you run any ads, they will always try to Google your name and find you online. And if you have some kind of presence, the chance of them responding is going to be so much higher, no matter which channel you use to reach out to clients. And personally for me, when I'm using Cloud
18:39or ChatGPT, I'm using my ASUS ExpertBook, and I'm pretty much running it all day. And because I'm always on the go, well, you know, I need something light where I can just go to a cafe and like design, give feedback to my editors, take coaching calls, do webinars. And so, what I like about the ASUS ExpertBook is that it actually has an Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processor, and that's a lot of words, but it just means that it can pretty much handle anything I give it. It also has Expert Guardian Security, which
19:02features a NIST SP 800-193 compliance. Don't worry if you don't know what that means, it just means that your data is safe if someone tries to hack into your computer. This thing even has a 3-year warranty, so even if something breaks or goes wrong, ASUS will actually pick it up, repair it, and send it back. And so, with the confidence and power this thing has, I'm taking my laptop everywhere I go, you know, whether it's to the cafe or sometimes I go to the gym, I'm running my Claude agents, and it just takes a while for it to do things, right? Cuz it's just like running. And
19:27then, in between my sets, I'll just run some skills, let it do its thing, finish my set, come back, it's done, do another prompt, and then just do it again and again and again. It sounds kind of ridiculous, but if you're at the gym, why not just use that dead time working between the sets and be max productive. Let's go into the next section where we're going to talk about how to actually do outbound and get meetings with people if we're reaching out to them. Now, the most important thing as a one-person business is actually building your list. I used to be a tech sales rep
19:52in Silicon Valley, and I remember spending hours and hours of my day building lists of people I want to reach out to, writing the emails and everything like that, LinkedIn messages, and sending it to them, right? So, it's a lot of grindy work. But nowadays, with AI, it can pretty much save you hours and hours of time that, you know, typically a full-time person would have to do. So, let me show you how to do this in Claude. So, if we're building a list, we want to use a skill, right? So, I have the PD list builder, which allows me to build highly qualified lists of
20:17people that would be interested in my services. So, let's say I want to build a list of five SaaS companies running Meta ads. Uh I need them to have raised money, so they actually can pay me. And my goal is to sell them some kind of AI service where I help them create ads using AI at scale. For this demonstration, I'm going to make it in this like blue style that we've been using so far. So, you see, um right inside Claude, right? You like you don't need any employees, it's just going to like build this list for you. And then, let's see what the list looks like. Made
20:42a list of eight people here. It's going to have these criterias on whether or not they'd be interested in some kind of Meta ad services, which is what I'm selling. It's going to give us their LinkedIn profile and um their funding and all that kind of stuff. And for the purpose of this video, I actually exported it as a nice HTML so you guys can see what it visually looks like, and it's going to rate these people on, you know, which ones are hot, which one should we reach out to, and you click into them, and then it has more information on uh why they would be a good fit for your
21:07service. So, when you're reaching out to them, you know, the outbound messages, whether you do cold email or LinkedIn, pretty much writes itself, right? Because you're using this data and finding the pain points of what the prospect has and saying, "Hey, I know your problem. I know what you're trying to do. I have a solution to help you get what you already want." It's simple as that. Now that we've built the list and you start messaging people, essentially, you're just going to get people on the phone, right? Whether you're using content or outbound. Now, the next step of the process is actually to build your sales script. And the cool part is you
21:35don't need a sales manager or sales coach, you can actually build it using AI. So, let me show you how. In this example, I'm going to use my sales script builder skill within Claude, and I'm going to say, "Build me a sales script assuming I'm selling this Meta Ad Studio where I help create ads using AI to scale SaaS startups targeting consumers, right?" And then, I give it some more information, and it's just going to produce my entire script for me. Now, let me go ahead and show you the output. So, this is the sales script that it gave me. On the beginning, it's going to give me a high-level overview
22:03of exactly how I should be selling it. And then, as you go deeper into the script, it's going to go step-by-step from rapport, agenda, pain. Basically, I have a certain sales process that I use. The moment you meet somebody on, let's say, Zoom or whatever, and then you actually close them, right? So, it tells you exactly what you need to say, what you need to do in order to close the deal. Now, you I've even programmed it so that if you want to do your calls in 30 minutes, you can pull this out, press start, and then it has a timer here. So, if you just kind of go through the whole
22:30thing and make sure you're doing it in a concise amount of time, it just kind of makes it easier, right? And also, you can actually take your transcripts after the call, drag and drop it in the Claude, and just say, "Hey, like, based on this criteria, what could I have done better?" And then it will tell you and coach you. So, you don't even need to spend money hiring a sales coach, you can just, you know, self-coach yourself using AI and get better and better. And what I like about the ASUS is that I can pretty much take calls anywhere. The camera's pretty good. It works on Zoom
22:55and Google Meets and everything like that. So, once I have my script in front of me, camera's ready to go, I don't really need any other tools besides my AI tools, my laptop, and an internet connection. And it's truly the era of a one-person business. And so, this is the future of the one-person business, where you can essentially do the work of 10 people all with just your cloud and an internet connection and your laptop. And if you follow all the steps I showed you, you know, in week number one, you
23:20should be finding your business idea. Week number two and three, you start doing your personal brand, creating content on YouTube or LinkedIn, whichever platform you choose. You start reaching out to clients to actually get them on the phone. In week number four, if you start getting more calls, if you get enough of them, eventually you'll figure out exactly how to close them using the sales script that I just showed you.
