This is the full transcript of BIG Grok Bot Updates (Should You Switch?), published on YouTube by Moritz | AI Systems. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00Grockbot has had another huge week of updates. In this video, I want to go over all of these new updates, how you can use them, and also answer the question whether it makes sense for you to switch to Grockbot if you haven't yet. So, let's jump in. All right, so very briefly, if you don't know yet what Grockbot is, you're looking at it right now. So, basically, it's where I can create a bunch of my bots. I can manage
0:19my bots. They can talk to each other. That's like one of the unique things about us about it. You can set up connections here to your tools. So your bots can basically use all of your tools, take actions across them. At the same time, it can remember things for you in the background so that it saves your preference in the form of skills or in the form of memory. Your bots also
0:40have a computer which is in the cloud. So you don't need to worry about any local things happening. They can use this computer to for example browse websites for you or take actions across websites for you. And all of this works inside of a mobile app too. And so everything is synced across mobile and desktop. And yeah, I basically use
0:58Grogbot now to help me run my company. And I currently use probably around like 80% of my AI usage through Grockbot. So it's dramatically shifted over from cloud code and chatbt over to Grockbot now. All right. So let's jump into the first big update here and that is pages. Now what is a page? So pages are basically like documents that your Grockbot can now create and then you know it looks like this. It's like this card after it has created this page. And then when I open it, you can see it's, you know, basically like a document and it has different elements in it. And I
1:30kind of created this like demo page here just to show you what's possible inside a page. So there's this like table of contents thing here. So you can jump around. It has these different formats like a headline here. It can have these columns that you see here. It has these callouts here as well, which is quite nice. It can also put these to-do items here, these check marks. You cannot interact with the page though. So as you can see I'm trying to click here but I
1:56cannot like tick off this check mark. Can like make these boxes here. I can make tables and even charts like these which is also pretty nice for visualizing data for example. Some more charts here. Pretty cool. And then here I can even do like a calendar format basically. Draw some ASKI diagrams here as well. And then you see here this is also pretty cool. So you have these interactive controls. So I can, for example, I have these tabs here. I can toggle between these and then I have these filters as well. So you can build very simple tables and be able to sort through them and like look at them from
2:31different views. There's even a search bar here. So you can search through the table as well. So you can theoretically already use a table as a kind of database, a very simple one. It's not a relational database that's very complex or anything like that, but it could replace some of the things that I've actually been using notion for. So I very often when I have a bot managing something I might have like for example my partnerships I will have that in a notion table and have my bot use that to basically manage the tasks. Now I can do the same thing also inside of these built-in pages. Now and you can even
3:04display like math formulas here and have links here as well. You currently cannot interact with the page. So the only way to actually make changes to this page is to just chat with it. So I can for example like just very simply say mark the check marks as done. So the ones that we had earlier here. So it should be marking them as done in a minute then. There we go. So now it's refreshed
3:27and now the check marks are done. Obviously like a stupid little example but this is how you can currently interact with pages. So let me show you a couple of interesting examples of how I'm using pages. So here for example I have this chief of staff bot and inside on the right side you can see there's this library part and this is where you can like see all of the assets that it's created and amongst them the pages and I can also pin this so it always stays on top and then I've created this Grogbot activity dashboard which is a page and it essentially just like runs a sync
4:00currently just once a day you can increase that sync frequency but it looks and queries all of my other bots and kind of just gives gives me a bird's eyee view of what's happening inside of my Grockbot. So, it's like showing me here all of the bots that are currently waiting on me, everything that's happening across my bots, the timeline of when things have been happening. I can filter by my bots here just to get a bit more of a detailed view into what
4:25the bot has been doing on these days. And then over here, I can also see what's currently in progress, what tasks have finished. And so, this is just really good because, as you can see, I have created a lot of bots. And at some point it got just very overwhelming to keep track of all of the work that they're doing. And so this dashboard
4:42really helps me to do that. All right. And here's another example of a page. This is my Xbookmarks page. So what I've done here is I've actually just told my Grogbot to go and fetch all of my bookmarks from my X account and just put it into this page. So as you can see here, it's 449 bookmarks and across many different categories. So I told it to like go through them and filter them according to the folders that I already have. And then if something doesn't have a folder, you can just assign a tag to it basically. And it's done that. And
5:12now all of my bookmarks are living here. I can easily search for them. So I can say like marketing and then I can basically find my bookmarks here which is much better than the native X bookmarks search. And then I can search by author, so by handle. And the other cool thing is that now I kind of can just say to my bot, hey, I recently saved a bookmark. Can you like go find that for me? The bookmark is about something something. It's basically now in the knowledge base of my Grockbot, which is amazing. So I can reference these bookmarks. So yeah, I think this is obviously just the beginning. You can
5:45imagine it turning into something that's, you know, a bit more like notion and like much more featurerich than the current form of pages. Maybe it will even replace notion for me. And you probably saw with Chad GBT that they're also doing something similar. I think all of these AI apps are kind of like just going into that direction of building that into their own app because they realize that it's such a crucial thing to have. It's almost like its own back end that the agents can use to keep track of their work or rather I would say like a kind of interface between the agent and the human. Just like when we
6:17in human teams now work with each other, we use tools like notion or tools like linear to keep track of work. One other thing I forgot to mention is that you can also share these pages. So I can go here to share and then I can switch that to anyone with a link and then I can basically copy that link and open up in a browser and anyone can then have a look at this. Let's move on to the next big update which was the vault. So the vault you'll find that over here if you go into settings and then you'll see this here. There's now a vault. And here
6:46you can see like all of the things that are in my vault right now. And yeah, I can toggle between the actual login that I have here. It's not that many yet. I have my payment cards here. And you can see I can set like a default payment method. So one card basically that I've inputed here. Can also link it to my X money and my link account. And then I also can save contact info. And if I want to add new items, I can do that here. So a new login item here, for example, a card. So, what's pretty cool here is that you can also scan this with
7:16the camera. So, you could do it on your phone, for example, and just scan the card or upload a photo. And same with contact info. And then there's also this import here, which allows you to just import a CSV file. And I was actually considering doing that because I've always been using one password, manage my passwords, and you can export your entire one password as a CSV file, and then basically just import it here. I haven't done that yet though because I've actually asked my Grockbot like if I do that would I be able to delete it again and it's saying like I can manually delete them but I cannot
7:48basically do one bulk command and say just delete everything. So I'm still careful about adding them there. And my approach that I'm doing right now is to just like do it bit by bit and keep one password as my vault and then move some of the things over into my Grockbot vault when I need them. Now what's actually the difference between them? So the first biggest difference is actually that if you have a credit card saved in one password, you cannot use it through Grockots. For credit cards, you need to save them in your Grobot vault. So let me show you. Are you able to use my
8:18credit card from one password here? Okay. So as you can see here, it says not from one password. That link is for login only. So it can only use the login things saved in one password to do things for you. And credit cards go in the vault. So that's the main difference. If you want to use your credit cards, put them in the Grockbot vault. And then the other difference is around the approval. I want to do a quick demo to show the difference between one password and the vault. So let's start with one password and just
8:46show how the approval process would go. All right. So as you can see after it ran through here, it is now asking me to review in one password. So it's trying to log into Dropbox. And then I can click review in one password. And it's kind of opening up this page on the other side in one password which I won't share now. And then I can approve it there. And once I've done that, so I approved it with my fingerprint here
9:09through the one password desktop app. And now it's saying waiting for one password. And then one password granted. And then that's it. But the main difference here between one password and just the vault is that with one password, you need to approve it every time to log into something. Whereas if you save something in the vault, you can just do it by itself. So, just show me quickly how with the vault there's we don't need that approval step. So, just use something that currently exists in
9:34my vault. Okay, so here we go. It filled in the PayPal login info that I had saved and I didn't have to approve this filling in. So, that's the main difference right now. And note how this is now also different from how it was still last week actually when I was using the one password connection. you had to create this separate shared with Grockbot vault and you've always had to share your passwords between your main one password with the Grockbot vault but now it's kind of just accessing your main vault directly. The other thing of course is also that can ask my Grobbot to you know
10:07set up a password for me. So for demo purposes can we create a new login item in the vault? Yeah. So, it opens up this now and I can click open and okay, it prefilled like a email address here and I can just type some password and then just submit and it will be saved inside of my vault. So, let's double check here and yeah, there it is. And then if I want to delete that again, I'll just go here and remove it. Okay, that's it for the vault. So, let's talk about the next big update that is all around the iOS connections. And for that, I will just
10:37go and switch to my phone here and show you what this looks like. So now if you go into the app, you can click here on connect apps and then you'll see this iPhone toggle here and here you can see the iPhone connections that are possible. So you can see that at the bottom there's this alarms for example. So I'm using this on a demo phone right now. So these are not connected but on my main phone they are. And alarms for example I could click allow here and my Grockot will be able to set alarms and timers for me. Done this like here in my
11:07daily planner. So here I said when I have meetings planned on a day, I want you to set an alarm for me at that time using my alarm app. And so now it's kind of checking my calendar every day, seeing when I have any meetings on that day and then setting the alarm on my
11:22phone. I used to do that step manually. I just went into my alarm app and set those alarms for me during that day. But now my Grogmod handles that for me, which is awesome. And then I tested it. It worked fine. And then I also asked like what it can do with the location services. So, it can basically tap into where my phone is currently located, which can also be useful for exploring like what's around me and things like
11:42that. So, that's one part of it. And then they also announced this. You can now set your iPhone's action button and press it to talk to Grockbot. And this only works on the iPhones that have an action button, obviously. Hey, what are we working on? So, if you have that, just go here. You can go into settings, action button, and then just like set up a shortcut and then choose Grockpot. And then for example, you can set the action to be start a voice chat with Grockbot once you press the action button, which is
12:10also a nice little shortcut to have. Okay, next up, cards. They've made a bunch of updates to the interactive cards that you see in the interface. So, let me show you some of these. Do something that will require an approval card. Here we go. So, it found something that will require an approval card. And you can see this is what the card looks like. Allow once, deny. And then here, you can also set always allow. And then if I allow that, it would be saving that to my allow rules. So I can check that here. So here you can see these were probably just automatically added as I
12:42had my conversations with my other bots. I can add them manually, of course. And then here I can also add a rule to always ask me if something purchases over $50, then I'll add this rule here. And so yeah, this is then safer, which is yeah, pretty nice. And then they also have this edit card. Can you draft an email and draft it inside of the edit card so that I can like edit it before I send it? All right, there we go. So, it's this little interactive card, which is pretty cool. And I can change the address. I can change in here what is being sent and just like make edits
13:15directly, which is very good. And then I can also manage the rules from here. And then if I'm done with it, I can send it. Because previously when they didn't have that then I would have it draft emails but then if I want to change like a tiny little thing then I would need to like prompt it to change it which is annoying
13:29and now I can just change it directly. Okay. Finally I'll just show you a couple of smaller new things that I've noticed and then I'll talk about this question of whether you should switch to Grockbot. So three things. One is if you go into settings here just scroll down here you can see now they have this import function. So you can click start import and then you can copy this entire prompt here and paste that directly into chatbt or cloud code and just like get the output and paste it here to import the memory over from cloud or chip. So it's like a really easy and fast way to
14:00like migrate over if you want to. So that's the first thing. The second thing is that they've really improved the X connection. So if you remember from my previous videos, I was talking about how they have this X connection now, but like some actions still need to go through the API which costs credits. But they've actually completely changed that now. Everything just goes seamlessly through their built-in X connection. You don't need to use the API at all anymore. So, it can do like searches for you. It can look at your feed. It can look at all of your bookmarks. It can even write DMs for you. It can like get
14:29your requests DMs and approve them and answer for you. So, it can do pretty much everything now. And it's all free. So, this is really good and it's been like super helpful for me. And then one final thing, you're actually able to now also create videos inside of Grogbot. So I said test out the video creation and it just created this like short little video using Grock imagine here. So it's
14:49using the video model. [music] Yeah. So it can also be quite useful. All right. So finally, let's talk about the question whether you should switch over. And a lot of my friends and clients have been asking whether they should switch over to Grockbot now because they've been hearing it all over social media. A lot of what I would say is first of all I do think that Grogbot in terms of like always on agents it's probably the best right now. It brought a lot of new things into the space which is this like bots talking to each other feature, the cloud browser and just like the whole organization around bots which
15:27was something that OpenClaw pioneered but then they like brought it into a much safer and easier to use product and so they were the first here and I would say right now quality-wise they are also the best. Having said that I think if you're currently like in the cloud ecosystem for example if you've been using cloud code probably not too much to gain if you switch over. you would have to do like some migration work and also anthropic itself they also just announced a cloud do it which is basically pretty much the same thing it's like still in a kind of research preview so it's not really publicly
15:59available it is coming so if you just wait maybe 1 month or so then you'll probably have something similar inside of claude so if you don't want to have the hassle of like switching things around I would say just stay in claude exactly the same with chbt like chubbyt has dots it came out I think a month ago It's not available in the EU yet, so I haven't been able to try it out. And I've also heard from people that it's not very good yet. It's a bit buggy, but it will also improve and so it might also not be worth switching. And then at the same time, I would say the cloud
16:29models are still better than the Grock models. Although you can, and I've shown this in a previous video, if I do my coding, for example, I will tell my Grock to use my cursor and then there it should use the claude models or like opus or something to do the coding itself. That's still possible. I would say the GBT models might even be a little bit better too. And the main thing that's still really good in ChadBt if you use the Chajb desktop app is the built-in browser. So whenever I have heavy tasks where I need to use a lot of browser, then I will still do that
17:00inside of the CHBT desktop app. And then similarly, if you use something like Victor already right now, it's very similar to Grobot. So yeah, it is very good. It does really help me a lot in my business and it's the first time I'm really starting to feel even more productive than I was before when I set up my claude AIOS and so on. I was already pushing like the limits of productivity there. But now with Grockbot, it's like another level, I think. And if you want to try that and experience that, I would say try out Grockpot. But if you're anyway super busy in your business and you don't want
17:33to necessarily try out something new and just want to wait for it to come into [clears throat] your existing ecosystem cla or traj then just wait and you don't need to try out crockbot. I would say the other big reason for someone to switch to Grockbot is if you're a heavy X user like me because the integration to X is just really good and I wouldn't be surprised if it changes the dynamics of how people are using X because like I
17:55need to scroll my feed much less now. I'm just using my Grockbot to basically summarize things for me and I can get a pretty good overview that way. And a lot of the interactions that I used to do through X, I can do that through my Grockbot now. So yeah, that's my point of view on it. If you really want to try it out, I think it's worth it to try it out. It's a really good product, but at
18:13the same time, it's also not necessary. All right, and that's it for this video. Thanks for watching and I'll put the Grockbot playbook into the description below, which is kind of like this PDF playbook of all of the tips that I've made and collected about Grockbot. You can download that for free down in the description. And otherwise, hope to see
18:31you in the next video. you. Bye.
