I Let Grok Bot Run My Domain Business for 30 Days

0:00Okay, so I own about 250 domain names. And in the last 30 days, AI bots have put in more than 347 hours of work on my domain name investing business. They've graded over 700 names. They bought 11 names and started experimenting with cold email. They've sent over 100. Total sales so far, zero. I gave Grog Bot 6

0:24months to make this business profitable. So, here's everything that I built so far plus the parts I didn't see coming. The reason I decided to do this is because my domain name investing strategy is very passive. So, I find I've done all the research. I've bought names that I think are good names that I'm willing to hold on to for a long time. I put them for sale on both

0:48Spaceship Seller Hub and Afternic. And then I basically just let time pass. It's like putting up for sale sign on the website and I'll let people eventually, hopefully, make purchases. And my goal is to sell 1 to 2% per year. And if I can do that, I can be profitable and continue to grow my name my portfolio of names and invest in

1:09better names over time. And so, as of right now, that's what I'm doing. I've reinvested all profits. I'm slightly profitable. And that's where I am. But, I wanted a use case for Grog Bot. And at first, I didn't want to spend the money on it. And so, I told myself, "I will give this thing 6 months and I'll see if I can let it run my domain name investing business. Let's just see how it goes and let me test it." And so, that's what I've decided to do. I'm a little over a month in. So, side note, you want to follow along and see how this goes. Okay, here's what I can tell you so far. One, I have not made any money. Like I haven't made any sales. But, I'm blown away by GrogBot. And I'll show you now, as you can see, is that I'm not only using it for domain name investing now. Like I've really expanded and I have a lot of different team members

2:22going. All right. So, what I want to do is just run you through like a few of the major things that that we've been working on. When I say we, I mean GrogBot. Okay, like for starters, I know that we just recently purchased some names finally based off of research that we've done. So, let me just ask what were the most recent names that we

2:44bought? I know we bought 10 or 11 names. So, we'll let that come back to us. And let me show you where it's pulling this list from. So, this spreadsheet, this Google Sheet, GrogBot literally runs it. We have our process as we go. Like, for example, we have like top domains. It pulls every day it's doing research and pulling items on to this list and it grades them. B's And this is what we've come up with. B's are like possible ones. A's, it thinks they're like really good and then I'll

3:20have a look at those. So, here's the ones that we've purchased. I actually purchased this one. This was my idea, but it added it to this list. But, let's go back over here and see. Here we go. 3:43from all of the research that we did. And it, and when I say it, GrogBot here, added them to this tab. Yeah, so every day these are things that this bot does. And it's kind of interesting because I don't always come here cuz I just know that it just does things. It kind of ask or I'll say, "Hey, like

4:07yeah, remind me of that every Tuesday." Or I'll say, "Hey, yeah, let's do that." So, let me just go through some of these cuz I think they'll just be interesting. Domain sending warm-up. I'm going to talk about that one in a second. We've actually sent over a hundred emails of outbound. And when I say we, I mean Grog

4:22Bot. Like so we've set that up. Discord bot reconnect mention reply. Yeah, the way it says these is kind of is kind of interesting. I'll show you the Discord item cuz it's kind of interesting. I have a group of folks in lower Alabama LAAI group. So, I set up a bot that updates every What is that? Looks like every four days or something, maybe. We could probably do once a week. Like I'll probably adjust that. But it updates on

4:53like what we've been up to. And so that was a bot that we set up. Well, how did I set that up? Grog Bot did it. This is the most im- probably one of the most important ones. Candidates hunt. So, three times a week we're looking like literally searching for potential names to register. This one up here is pretty important cuz we're looking at GoDaddy closeout. And these are things that I used to do on my

5:18own. But I just wouldn't have the time. And so this is like me setting up a team member to do these things. Weekly newsletter draft. Pretty interesting there. So, one of the very first things that we did was rebuilt this website and some tools. Now granted, I use Claude code for some of that or whatever. But we we So, after rebuilding this website, then we I assigned Grog Bot to help me build out the email newsletter using Beehiiv, which is crazy. Great tool, by the way, for newsletters. I'll make sure that I share that link with you so you can check that out. Interesting on the

6:02emails that we've been sending. [snorts] So, I set up like I look they literally have email addresses. I'm not going to go into details on that how to do that. But, we're using this tool called agentmail.to, which [snorts] basically you literally have an email inbox for your AI agents. I'm paying for the paid account, $20 a month currently, so that I can so they can have their so that we can set up our

6:31own domains. And what we were doing it's really interesting. We've been warming up email addresses. So, it's like I've been sending myself emails in my own account. And but we figured out that even though we were doing that, we think a lot of our emails were going to spam. And so, we paused outbound, and now we're like warming up email

6:54addresses again. I was going to try to show you an example. Like Gmail and Workspace both put this one in the inbox now. On October 6th, they both went to spam. So, this is good news. So, we're potentially going to start doing some slow outbounding again. So, that's cool to hear. So, going back to this sheet, it's created over 500 domains that we graded

7:19as B, over 200 that it's graded as A. And so far, I've only purchased 11. But, the initial work was all done by GrokBot, and then I kind of used my gut feel and, you know, final reaction to say yes, I'll buy these, which was the ones we just looked at here. I really like Meetup Barn. I think that could be a really cool company. Golf Cart Medic. I like that one. I think it graded it as a B, but I really like that

7:45one. Metro Wiring I like a good bit. Medical Scrap Scribe Jobs, it gets a lot of searches every month, like thousands, maybe 8,000 or something like that. I may even build I may even build a website on that myself. We'll see, but it's cool that I'll I'll have the, you know, I already have the

8:05domain in my in my inventory. Another interesting thing, I just searched NameBio because they daily put out a list of of domains that sold. And so, what I've done there is I'm using it as a way to for us to further shape our like research strategy. Like this would just be a good example. Yesterday's NameBio, $2.2 million of

8:31sales, and it kind of talks about them. Two new name styles are going into the hunt being like us looking for domain names. One is short hobby and collectibles names under 15 characters, like a shop. So, every day that we do research, we're furthering our process of our strategy. What's sort of funny is that AI for sure was just supposed to only save me time, but I feel like I'm working more now than I was before. But I mean that in a

9:05good way. And I say that because I'll show you this. I had my main Grok Bot create this because I thought, man, we're doing a lot of work. It feels like we're replacing a lot of hours. And I had it I have it now start weekly doing this research and discussing exactly in detail like what we've done. And since I've started using it, I think the total is like over 300 something

I'm interacting and I'm managing all these employees is like now I have all these direct reports. I'm going to continue to use it and I think specifically for this domain name investing business, but now of course
