0:00Welcome. Today, we are going to install Grokbot. I am a super Grok subscriber. I love Grok. It's my favorite chatbot tool. And now they have brought the availability of Grokbot to this subscription tier. So, once you're logged in to Grok, you click here on Grokbot. And I have a Mac, so I will download for Mac. We'll let that download. And what is Grokbot? You can see here, it is an agentic AI system where you can create multiple bots to do various tasks for
0:35you, automate items in your workflow. But what we'll do today is once we have it installed, I will set up the the chief of staff, which is what's been recommended to have one primary bot that you message to on a regular basis. There's also a mobile app as well that you can connect to and speak to. All your jobs are in the cloud, so you don't have to worry about whether or not your computer is on or not. And each bot gets its own computer. Now, there's plenty of announcements on this that you can look at. You can see here the different tiers available for Grokbot. Okay, that's
1:07downloaded. Okay, I have the installation file. Let's see how this goes. Double-click it, just like any other application on a Mac. Very easy to install on a Mac. Drag and drop to applications. And we here we have Grokbot. I'm going to actually put it right on my dock. Let's open it up for the first time. So, you'll have to sign in with your subscription, whether it's Cursor or Grok. For me, it's Grok, so I will link
1:34my Grok account. We will click allow. Yes, I do have a free Cursor account with the same email address. I will link these two accounts. Here we go. Meet Grokbot. Click next. As you can see here, it has its own computer. A lot of connectors, but I'll just click next for now. All right. So, we're going to create our first bot. Now, I've already got something set up, so I'll
2:02paste in my bot name, Chief of Staff. Interesting, I can choose how he looks. Okay, so now after getting through the initial welcome screen and creating your first bot, this is typically the screen you're going to see. It'll give you a few suggestions, but I'm going to type as we go. Pick this. So, I want to keep things simple here, so I will instructed to stay quiet. I
2:26wait, you drive will be my selection. And I'm going to now drop in my instructions for my Chief of Staff. I'll instruct my Chief of Staff to input this template into its settings. So, I'll say use this for your settings and confirm back to me. You are Chief of Staff for Canadian Mac based operator. Become fluent in AI practice and computer science fundamentals. Skill engine, Python computer science fundamentals. I want one small Python learning exercise
2:55I can work on in VS Code every week. Public engine, my YouTube channel, I want Grok Bot to review and suggest the next logical video. Creative IP, my AI music artist, I want Grok Bot to review the catalog performance and suggest the next logical release. I'll say flag work that needs a specialist later. Do not create specialists unless asked. Hard rails, never send messages or contact subscribers or partners without explicit approval. So, let's see how it does
3:23here. If you scroll over your bot, it tells you what it's doing. It's asking me for the YouTube channel link and AI artist information, but he's going to work on the Python exercise, but I'm going to queue up those links. Okay, it's given me a Python exercise here. I'll give it some more context in terms of where I am in my Python learning. I'll revisit that a bit later, but for the purpose of today's tutorial, I want to show creating bots and what Grok Bot can actually do. The YouTube URL, it's
3:53asking for the URL. I'll paste the URL. Here it is. And you can open up the sidebar where you can see the computer that your bot has access to. Each bot has its own cloud computer. I'll open this up here. And it's going through the YouTube channel. You can close it. Chief of Staff is working. And there's already a routine set up, a weekly three-lane brief. It's set up its instructions as I
4:16had asked, every Monday at 8:00 a.m. Perfect. Okay, now it wants my AI artist information. And it's already found it, so I don't even need to paste it here. And you can use the topic channel to review, which is a YouTube channel that it's automatically set up when you distribute music through a distributor. It's got a few things wrong in terms of number of subscribers and videos. A bold demo is something I promised that I have not done yet. That's some tough feedback straight out of the gate. I really need to do that video. And suggesting my next
4:46release, one progressive break single. So, got some ideas. Can you look at ToolSmyth AI channel again and confirm subs? And that's where it got mixed up. It cited Flux Protocol, which I have embedded on the same page. So, now let's see what other bots that we should create. Let's create some staff members. What do you suggest? Skill Tutor, the ToolSmyth AI channel, and the Flux
5:11Protocol. A&R, artists and repertoire. Let's do all three. I guess there was a blank bot that I didn't put in the video here when I first set this up. I had some troubleshooting, and then I just reset everything so we could start clean. For my channel bot, let's ask it to assign a task to suggest the next
5:31series of videos for the channel. It's messaged my channel bot. You can see here, message from Chief of Staff. And this really is incredible, a cloud agentic AI system that anyone can install, and you don't need expensive hardware run it or advanced technical skills. I can go look at my channel bots computer here. As you can see, I can actually use that computer. This is what the channel bot is suggesting. Do the
5:58bolt video and then a comparison video. That's a good idea. Then it's reported back to my chief of staff. While we're waiting here, you can see all the plugins available. You can connect and I'm sure the list will keep growing and there's also the mobile app. Get Grok Bot for iOS and you can see your usage as well. Create routines for all your bots, but you can always have your chief of staff do that for you. It could get messy as you create more and more bots trying to keep track of what each one's doing. So, working with a one central bot is probably makes the most sense. If
6:29you right click, you can actually pin that bot. Now you can see my chief of staff will always be at the top. You can always edit the profile if you want from there. Change the look of the bot, change the instructions. You can always create new bots from here manually or a new conversation window. If there's any bot you decide I don't want this bot any longer, you can just right click it and
6:48delete if you want to start over again. If you want a clean slate, it's best to create a new chief of staff, then delete the sub bots and the old chief of staff. That's the process I went through and that seemed to work. Looks like my artist bot is doing some work now, too. I'll give it my Beyond Reason Records
7:06website. And you see here my usage is already at 17%. So, unless SpaceX comes out with frequent resets or you have to pay more to top up your credit, you're going to run out of capacity quite quickly. But for what I'm using it for, maybe that's all I need is one day's work out of Grok
7:23Bot. It's giving me lots of great ideas. It's giving me a road map. And if I find I'm getting a lot of use out of it, maybe I'll I'll have to upgrade. Lock the next Flux Protocol single. Interesting. It's seen the nuances on how the different platforms display the secondary information on a track, which
7:39is important because of keyword search. Looks like we're done. 20% usage. Now, what's great though is this usage is distinct from your usage of Grok. I'm assuming it's the same case if you're on Cursor Pro. If I hit my limit here, doesn't mean I can't use the Grok app anymore for the rest of the week. So, I can use this maybe every Sunday, plan out my week with my bots. So, I hope that this was a good introduction to Grok bot. My suggestion is to keep it simple because when I first started this tutorial, I put in a much more complicated Chief of Staff instructions and it just went wild on me. So, that's
8:19why I reset the whole system and started it over again. And to give you a good idea of the usage of Grok bot, if you put in a complicated over-the-top instructions right out of the gate, you're going to use up your credits really fast. What do you really want to use this for and what do you want to offload to Grok bot? We'll see you on the next one, which I should follow my Chief of Staff's instructions and do the Bolt Fitness app demo. Thank you very
8:44much.
