This is the full transcript of Claude Code's New Mods Are INSANE (Install These 5 Now), published on YouTube by Jordan Rafealov. Every paragraph carries the moment it was spoken, so you can click any line to jump straight to that point in the video, search the whole thing for a word, or copy it out.
0:00Anthropic just dropped the biggest update they have ever dropped since releasing skills, and it's called mods. So, in this video, I'm going to be showing you the five mods that I installed by running an audit, and then I'm going to be giving you the audit and the mods that you can just download for free for yourself, so you can turn your Claude code into something that looks like this. So, at the end of this video, you are going to get everything that allows you to load up Claude code in this way, where you have all of your to-do list down the side panel. You even have an arcade that you can play games
0:33in while you wait for Claude to do its thing, and you have a record of every single thing that you have done logged for you, plus all this really sexy stuff down the bottom. Okay, so first, how did we get here? Well, I ran an audit through all of my chats in the last 30 days, and it found five highest-value things that it can add to my workflow based on how I use Claude, and I'm going to give you that prompt in just a
0:59second. So, first of all, what is a mod? So, you may have seen Claude devs release this announcement the other day, where you can now mod Claude code. You can do stuff like this, and people are even doing crazy stuff like having gameplay work alongside them while they wait for Claude code to finish doing its thing. So, I have built something very similar. I'm going to show you exactly
1:22how I built that end to end. Now, a mod is basically like a Chrome extension for Claude code. That's how I would think about it. And so, it's a small add-on that lives inside of Claude code. It adds things like buttons, panels, and pop-ups, and you don't write it. Claude code builds it for you. So, think about it like things that you can show, or shortcuts, or things that you can stop Claude from doing. So, if it can catch a mistake before it happens, or you can even undo a certain mistake,
1:51or stop it from deleting entire files. I'm sure you've been there where Claude has done something crazy. It's spent all this money, and you're like, "How did you do that? Who gave you permission to do that?" And Claude's like, "Oops, my bad, right?" Um and then shortcuts, so one click or one word runs an entire job, similar to a skill, but it's a little bit different. I'll show you how. And then to visually change the UI and show uh a panel or a bar or buttons on your screen. So, I think that's kind of the
2:20coolest use case, personally. So, a mod sits in the middle before Claude works, and it can stop or change a job. And also after, it can add buttons or show progress. So, think about it like this. You ask Claude a question, there's a mod beforehand, then Claude works, and then there is a mod after, and then you see it. And so, it
2:41sort of modifies the process for you. Uh not too dissimilar to a skill, but a skill runs a process end-to-end. A mod changes how it works before and after, and then how it's presented to you. So, as far as where a mod actually shows up, it can be a side panel, like I just showed you. It can be buttons after an answer. It can be a strip above the prompt window, or it can be a pop-up that stops a specific job. And I'm going to show you exactly what that looks like inside of Claude in just a second. So, I have built a dashboard on the side
3:17panel. I have hand-off buttons. I've got things that say, "Okay, this is unpushed to GitHub. Make sure you push." And I can click a button and it pushes it. And then I've got a spend gate to make sure that it doesn't like demolish hundreds of dollars of credits. So, here is the audit that I ran to do this, and it read through all of my chats and found that there were five things that were going to be the highest lift for me to basically install. Um So, here is the prompt that I copy-pasted into Claude, and it audited everything for me and came back with these five suggestions for mods, then I
3:53will put it inside the Dopamine Digital Free School Group. You can see here, I will just pin it to the top and I add a ton of stuff that you cannot find on YouTube here, including like I vibe coded Iman Gadzhi's $2,000 AI tool for free and I literally give it to you here for free. I built a Alex Hormozi Rule of 100 Claude skill that you can just download and put into Claude and it'll walk you through how to get to $10,000 a month in 100 days, breaking it down day by day and just giving you the action steps that you need to do. This is maybe
4:26one of the most exciting tools that I have built. So, all the thumbnails that I create for my YouTube channel come from this tool. And this is something I usually charge 100 bucks for and I'm giving it away for free inside the school group. So, if you want that, I'm going to leave it linked below. So, take this prompt, copy paste it into your Claude code and then see what the audit brings back. For me, it brought back these five mods. So, the first one is hand off buttons. So, it noticed that I said multiple times, "Add this to my clipboard. Open this. Output it to
4:57downloads." And so, instead of me doing that, I can just click a button now and it does all of that stuff for me. So, if we hop back into Claude code here, you can see down the bottom I have hand off and I'm able to click this button and then it's and then I can just like copy the answer and everything is added to my clipboard. So, I don't have to ask Claude to do that anymore. Next, mod number two is the launchpad. So, I have a list of daily jobs that I run every day, especially creating content because I create one piece of content every
5:25single day and I'm doing this for the next 100 days. So, if you're brand new to the channel, make sure you subscribe because I make a video every single day teaching you marketing, AI tools and how to make money online using Alex Hormozi, Iman Gadzhi, Russell Brunson's principles and all of the greats, right? So, instead of me typing, I need a a idea for today, like pull in this skill and go and get the context and all that kind of stuff, I can just click a button. And then it's always on, there's no command, there's just a row of buttons above the prompt window, and I
5:57can just click one and it writes the entire job for me. So, for example, I have all these shortcuts here, this like launchpad idea, so I can type in I can click this button and then it will run a specific skill, or if I want, I can click on create a watch and just hit enter, and then it will run everything for me. Also, what's really cool is down the side here, you can see that it
6:22actually keeps track of all the logs. So, sometimes I don't know what I have done or which tab I'm in, so I have color-coded everything, and you can see that I'm tracking everything here. And if I open up another tab, it will show which tab is open, which tab is done, which tab needs my attention, and it
6:40just makes everything so much easier. Because I don't know about you, but the amount of times I've jumped between the wrong tab and I've typed a prompt in, and I'm like, "Oh, no, I'm in the wrong tab. I No, hang on, I didn't mean that, I meant it for another tab." It happens literally every day. So, I
6:56fixed that. Right, so you can see here that it's come back with a bunch of ideas for videos that I should create, I tested X versus Y, what you need to know, new feature, account and an order, and it pulls from all of the creators that I follow, and it's showing me things that are already performing, and it's like, "Hey, create your version of this type of content, right?" So, I've got a bunch of different shortcuts, I've got video ideas for the day, fix the newest download for YouTube, where it runs it through uh a quick render to change the color mode, uh fast model upload pack
7:30for today, and then I can also change between models smartly. And so, it'll pick the right model for the right job, and these are all shortcuts that I use every day. And instead of me typing them in, instead of me enacting skills, I can just click a button and it'll run a prompt with a skill attached, and it knows exactly what it's doing. Now, number three is the dashboard, which I think is kind of the coolest representation of what you can do inside of Cloud Code with these mods. So, this side panel that you see here is all part of it. So, I've created a to-do list of all these things that I
8:04can literally just go through and I can tick off, right? So, that's kind of pretty cool, and I can add to my to-do list by typing {slash} to do. Uh I have an arcade here, which if I'm waiting for Cloud to do something that takes forever, right? So, let's go. I need to commit this working tree uh with a sensible message to GitHub, and I don't want to wait around for it to tell me it's done. Uh then I can press any button to start here, and then I can just run Tetris down the side of my Cloud Code window. Now, you can change this to anything you want, but I've used
8:42Tetris here. Um and so, I see there there are a bunch of people who use like Duke Nukem. How do we do this? And then, drop is F. So, uh and I've even given it a little um sound when a task is complete. And so, I'm terrible at this. W W W to the side and drop. Uh uh to the side and drop. So, you get the idea, right? Now, also, like I said here, here is the flight recorder, which shows all of the steps and the actions that I'm running, and then any any other tab that's open, you'll also see that uh everything is color color coordinated a little bit
9:33nicer, and then in this panel here above the prompt, it's worth mentioning that the amount of credits that I have spent in this chat and then the context window and then the time it takes to perform an action is also estimated. And so all of these metrics I have now in front of me, so I don't need to guess and then there's this cute little animation here. I can also toggle between all of the buttons or I can keep them really simple, all the shortcuts, all the handoff messages, all the GitHub GitHub stuff, all of the next steps. So if I don't know what the next steps are going to be after I go
10:10through task 1 2 3, it'll suggest steps for me that I can just click a button. Or I can have them all presented to me like this. So I think that's pretty cool. Now mod number four is the unpushed badge, which you just saw me click a button and it pushes to GitHub. So to make sure that I don't have to type in push to GitHub or I don't have to click save all this time, I can just ask it to push the uncommitted files to a specific
10:38branch and it can do that. And finally, mod number five is the spend gate. I can't tell you the amount of times that I have asked Claude to do something and it's gone off and spent hundreds of dollars. And so I have created this mod so that it will not spend over $10 no matter what and it'll
10:59have a pop-up that asks me to confirm. So super useful if Claude just drains your credits like crazy. So you'll get a pop-up like this on your screen where it says 4,000 leads will cost $100, your cap is $10. Would you like to stop, run anyway, or insert your own answer here? And so I can click run anyway or in this case I'll click stop because I don't want to spend $100 scraping these leads. And so then then you'll hear that ping. I don't know if you heard that, but that's the job is done and now it requires my attention. Now, here are a bunch of
11:39other mods that I ran, but they're not really as critical. I showed you a bunch of them already. So, the Tetris game, the flight recorder, I can change the skin color of the text that I write, that Claude writes, the next steps, the fuel gauge. So, it's showing me how much fuel is left in this chat, how many credits I'm spending, and then lastly, record mode. So, this is particularly important if you are a content creator, if you're a live streamer, or something like that. Sometimes I want to be showing you my screen, but I want to make sure that I don't reveal client names, I don't reveal API keys. And so,
12:14here is the record mode which is turned on, which means my keys, client names, client money, stuff like that is just hidden and it's not written on my screen. So, if I type in uh what is the name of my biggest client, uh it should return me something that's like, "I can't tell you that because we're in record mode." So, here you can see the output. Can't show it, private mode is on, so client names stay hidden. On camera, it would read like, "This paying this per month." Also not checked, blah blah blah. So, I have to type {slash} public to go back to public mode, but currently I'm in
12:57private mode. And you can see all the other sort of mods that I talked about here, like the the usage and things like that. So, pretty cool, I think. Um and then I've got these different tabs open and the amount of time it's it's taken. So, you can see this tab completed this task uh 36 seconds ago, this completed this task 44 minutes ago, and so I can paginate across between them and I don't get lost. I think this is a much nicer user interface when I'm using Claude Code. I don't know about you, but when I'm using terminal, everything just kind of blurs together and I'm not a
13:33programmer, so I get lost in it. So, I suggest you run the audit for yourself. Join the free school group, which I've linked down below, and get the audit copy-pasted into your Claude code and get cracking. And then, you can just take all of the mods, which I will leave inside the free school group attached to the same uh message inside the Dopamine Digital School Group here. I'll just leave it pinned to the top. And uh let me know what sorts of mods you are playing with in the comments down below. Also, if you want all of my systems that run my multi-six-figure agency, as well as the
14:10content systems, launch systems, and paid ad systems I've used to generate more than $7 million in revenue for my clients, then it's in the AI Systems Society, which is my private uh community, also linked down below. We're having a crazy sale at the minute, so check that out. Thank you, guys, for watching. Like I said, I am making one of these videos every single day for the next 100 days. So, if you want to support the channel, leave a like, drop a comment, and subscribe because I'm going to be making one of these bad boys every single day, so keep me accountable. All right, let me know what
14:41sorts of mods you create, and I'll see you in the free school group. Thanks for watching, guys. Peace.
