0:01Hi friends. Have you ever wondered that when you work in Notion to log your daily work or making a habit tracker, it seems like it's a lot of manual work that you are doing instead of spending time on actually doing the work, you're spending time logging the details in Notion. What if I told you there's a better way to do it in Notion so that all your logs can be updated automatically and you just focus on your
0:31task? Let me show you. So, the idea in the Notion is you create the master database tracker. How do you keep and then you connect those two databases so that whatever log whatever you have input in one database, it can automatically get updated in the another database. So, you don't have to manually enter the data in
1:02your logs. Let me show you how. We see how we can create the the master tracker in Notion. We click on new database. We create empty database. Here, you can add rename this as task. Properties such as new date, so it will be type date. Then you can add a new property with type text and name it as status.
1:44You can also put a text and type it as description. You can fill up the task. You can mention and you can fill it up fast. You can change the team. ending medium low medium completion old and You can set the status. change the diapers multi-level level
2:39in progress not started or in progress
2:53Here you can give today's date and drag it down.
3:01So, you see now you have created the task database. You can create different view for this databases like a Kanban board.
3:20So, you can click here, click on board, and you'll see what are the items which has been completed in progress and not started. Also, you can make a filtered view of the table which gives you attention on only the task which needs attention today so far. You can filter by date. And you can filter what are the tasks which needs to be done today or what is the status of the tasks which are which
3:49are the due date today. So, you'll see the tasks appear based on their date and based on their status. Okay. We can also make another tracker for this. Um, a database which logs that really logs. And you can create it. Uh, so this this is the tracker that I've already already have with me. Daily
4:21log where you have a due date. Um, the task which has um, a checkbox task which you need to complete it on a daily basis so you can just checkbox them. And you can also link this um, I've also linked this database with the previous mhm with the previous uh, database also so any task which uh, which I am writing there it can also appear here if
4:51I want to. So um, uh, different different tasks it can appear here. Also I can mhm, also so put in a formula here with a number of the tasks that needs to be uh, that has been completed based on this. I hope this video must have helped you to understand how to better use the Notion to track your daily tasks and logging your daily um, activities uh, without uh,
5:21um, without doing a lot of manual work. Mhm, this automation must have helped you in some way. Mhm, thanks for watching this uh, this video and subscribe to my channel, Tech Minds and Work. Thank you.
