0:00Today we're going to be taking a look at how my Etsy shop performed in 2025. I'm going to go through my sales, what I've learned, and then my plan for 2026. If you're a regular of the channel, you'll know that Etsy isn't necessarily my main focus. [music] However, it is an additional income stream. And one of the important things when you're an online content creator, you're building your side hustles, all those kind of things, is you need to have as many income streams as possible. That's not only to increase your income over time, but that's just to protect you should one of your income streams suddenly go down or

0:37disappear. So, for example, I publish books on Amazon KDP. I make YouTube videos. I do consultations and also have my Etsy shop. So having four income streams protects me a little bit more than maybe only having two. So my last year over on Etsy wasn't anywhere near as busy as 2024. We're going to get into the data now. So to start off with,

0:58we're going to come on over to Everbe. Everbe is a fantastic plug-in and website that works with Etsy. So it can either work like this by itself where you have things like your product analytics, shop analyzer, keyword research, profit calculator, and a load more tools. or it can plug in directly to Etsy and then when you're looking around for products, you can analyze listings and find your keywords, what tags they're using, how many sales they're getting, all those kind of things. So that kind of data will help you to know whether a certain type of product is worth making or not. And so that's really, really important with

1:34Etsy. So you're not just chucking stuff out there and hoping it sticks. you're actually knowing whether the niche you're publishing in is the right niche, whether there's enough volume to certain keywords, those kind of things. And so to start off with on the Everbe homepage, this is my shop called Craig's Creative Shop. I've had 33 sales. It was started in 2023, and the revenue of the shop during its lifetime is a little

1:58over 1,500. And so, as you can see here straight away, I got a lot more revenue back in 2024. And there's a few reasons for that that we're going to get into later. But next, we're going to go onto Etsy and look at my exact results. And just to show you a quick look at my shop. This is my Etsy store. So, the idea of this Etsy store is to sell pre-made book covers and then also custom book cover design. Now, Etsy might not be completely the right place for book covers, but obviously I have got some sales, so it's not that bad. However, one thing I have noticed is as AI has

2:33got better and better and more accessible, there are less people looking for cheap pre-made book covers because a lot of people can generate them themselves using AI. So, that's probably why some of my sales have fallen off in 2025. But this is my shop. So, you can see I've got a nice banner with some of the books that I've made. And then I've got my featured items at the top. So, this is the custom book cover design option that I offer, which is a higher price point product. And then I've got some cheaper books here for pre-made covers. And these often go on sale. So even though they look here

3:06that they're like £46, £37, these are often sort of 2030 products. So they're not really that expensive. And if you're just looking for cheap pre-made book covers, then these are great options. And so what we can do is we can come on to my shop, go to my payment account, and look at the summary for last year. So here we can see that my net profit

3:26for 2025 was £316.19. That's around £426. My revenue was £445. From that I had to pay Etsy fees. That was around $87. And then marketing is just an Etsy ads that I had on just to help with the listings. And that was around £41. Because I sell digital products. One of the great things about digital products is I paid zero on delivery. Whereas, if I was shipping physical products, I'd obviously have to pay delivery costs as well. So, the fees and the costs out of my £445 of revenue isn't that big at the end of the day. It's just some Etsy transaction fees. It's some listing fees, those kind

4:10of things. So, yeah, my profit for 2025 over on Etsy was £316, around $426. So, that's not a huge amount of money, right? And it's down from just under £1,000 in profit for 2024. But, as I mentioned, I have been focusing in on cover design. And with AI getting better and better, I don't necessarily think that's the right direction for the shop anymore. It was doing quite well in 2023 and 2024. And I'm going to leave my custom book cover design up there because that's the higher priced ticket item. But in terms of those pre-made book covers, they're not selling as well as they used to. That's to be expected,

4:51right, as technology, AI, etc. develop, and that's okay. But what I do need to think about now as I move into 2026 and my strategy for Etsy is how do I pivot and how do I keep making items that people might want to buy. So, my plan is to keep those kind of higher priced items up there just in case anyone wants to buy them. I've got a few regulars to the shop who come back every now and then for their book covers and that's absolutely amazing. But I am also going to consider the different types of products that I could sell and I want to

5:22keep those as digital downloadable products that are to do with books, Amazon KDP, those kind of things. And so I had a little idea that maybe I could sell puzzle pages, you know, just digital downloadable puzzle pages that people could print at home and even use in their Amazon KDP books if they wanted to. And so just to test the desire for these, if I go on to the keyword research tab on Everbe and let's search for Sedoku puzzles. So there's an estimated 56 searches per month for this search term and around 2,831 competitors. So it's not the best in terms of volume against competitors, but

6:02there is some demand there. So, what I'm going to do is over the year, I'm going to create loads of different puzzle pages and have them as downloadable products basically in my store. So, it's not only going to be cover creation now for my store. I'm also going to have things like KDP interiors, puzzle pages,

6:21activity pages, those kind of things. And whilst they might not be for everyone, they're going to be lowerriced options that, you know, if someone's just interested to download some puzzle pages, they're going to be there on my store. So, I don't expect all of these to be a success, but the good thing is if I can get some of them ranking high in the search engines over in Etsy, I might get ongoing sales. The great thing about these kind of products as well is they're going to be very, very lowmaintenance. It's basically a product that I make once, upload, and then when people purchase it, they'll be able to

6:52download the files directly for themselves. So, if we come over to Etsy, I'm going to show you just quickly how we can set up this type of product. So I've got some Sudoku pages ready which has got the solutions. I've got the puzzle split into the puzzles themselves and then solutions. So all we need to do is give it a title here. So I've put a 102 hard sodoku puzzles to download and print at home. Suitable for use in puzzle books on Amazon KDP. I've then created a couple of nice little images just to help it stand out. So I've got a nice uh logo here that I've put on top

7:26and then just a bit more information about the SOKU pages. You can see what it looks like on thumbnail. I've then uploaded my two digital files here. So, you got the puzzles and the solutions. And then when someone buys this product on Etsy, they'll just have a link ready to download these two products. I've added my descriptions here, which has got all the information that anyone would need. I've set my price to $299 in US. That just gives me a little bit of wiggle room in case I want to run a sale. And also a thousand Sudoku pages for $3 doesn't seem like a bad idea to

7:59me. With the quantity, you want to set it as $9.99. That's the most you can set it at. And then let's say I sell 999 of these, which would be great. I then just come back in and update it again to $9.99. You then need to set your details. So here you can do a category. So I've put puzzles. You can enter any attributes that you want to, but that's generally a little bit more for print on demand stuff. And then you can enter your tags. And so this is another area where Everbe is really good. You can analyze competitors and actually look directly at what their keywords are. So

8:33here, all I've done is gone on to a competitor that looks to be selling quite well and looked at their keyword tags. And so I've pasted those in here. And as you can see, I found some really cool tags that maybe I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. So I put on things like Sudoku, Sudoku puzzles, Sudoku download. But then this one was telling me things like activity book, activity puzzles, KDP puzzle book. So I've added those in the tags as well. And then all you need to do now is set your shop section, choose whether you want to feature the listing, choose whether you want to run Etsy ads, and then you can

9:08choose your renewal options and click publish. So as you saw there, it's quite simple to set up products to sell over on Etsy. You just need that little bit of knowledge of what you're doing. And I would advise if you were doing this, spend a little bit more time on your images. I've only got two images here and then that thumbnail. But if you can make a video, you know, even if you need to use AI to help you to make that video, it'll help you to break through over on Etsy. Yeah, that was my wrap-up for 2025. I still made some money over on Etsy, which is great, right? Because

9:39how I work with my side hustles is if I'm making money in one area, that means generally you can scale it. And on this Craig's Creative Shop, I don't have that many listings. So, if I 10 times my listings, you'd hope that I'd 10 times my income as well. Then, we're not talking about £500 in revenue. We're talking about £5,000 in revenue. And then all of a sudden, it starts to get a little bit interesting. So, that's my plan for 2026. It's to create more puzzle and activity and downloadable pages. And in order to do that, I'm

10:09going to be using Everbe to help me out. If you want to try out Everbee for yourself, make sure to click the link in the description below where you can [music] get a free trial. That's it for this one. I'd like to know what your plans are over on Etsy in 2026 as well.
