0:00Oh, good morning, people. We are back and we have a sweet video today on Instinct. This is the most original channel on YouTube where a 30-something-year-old white guy named Alex with a cliche skull and cross thing on his hat with a little lanyard thing tells you about AI and he lives in Austin and he's drinking literally mushroom coffee with lion's mane. Jesus
0:20Christ. But for real, today I'm excited. Last video I made blew up blew up. I had like 2,000 views. Uh it is about Instinct. Instinct is something that I have been really enjoying the past 10 days since I got beta access to it. If you want beta access to it, I put the link down below. You can see it in the description. You can see it in the comments. I have I think like 50 invites or something like that. If you click on it, it'll automatically send you the link and you are good to go from there. So, let's get into what Instinct is. I'm going to show you a demo of how it
0:50works, some of the really cool use cases I've been using it for, and then I'm going to go over some of the pros and some of the cons. There are a couple big cons, but a lot of the stuff is extremely useful. Let's get into it. Instinct is the future. Now, a lot of people right now are saying, "Oh, Muse is the best." Muse is still an app and in my opinion, that's not going to be what people want to use. The less friction, the better. When we deploy AI agents within companies, the ones that see the best results see it within the interface they're already using, aka Slack and
1:17Microsoft Teams for a lot of these companies. The same with people. How many apps do you have on your phone right now that you have never opened or you have opened once in the past 2 years? Probably a lot. I have a hundred of them. How many times have you not looked at a text message that came in? Very rarely, right? Now, you might have a whole list of them because it's in your promotions or your spam, but if a friend texts you and you get something in, that's the one place that most of the time you're going to go look. That's why Instinct is so powerful in my
1:43opinion. I'm going to show you some specific things I'm using it for that are genuinely changing my life, not to be one of these hype bros. Okay, the last one I showed you some of the downsides. This one I am going to show you some ways that it really is helping me out a lot. I have sent the link to multiple friends. I I have no connection to this company, by the way. I just think it's awesome. I don't even know if they're going to last, but it's really helpful. And I had a friend that I sent it to yesterday saying, "Hey, try this out. It's really been helping my wife
2:11and I." And she was like, "Is this some multi-level marketing thing?" No, it's not. It works. So, Instinct is an agent that lives within your iMessages. It doesn't see anything else in your iMessages. It doesn't live in your phone. It has its own computer in another network. It basically is as if you had an assistant that was sitting in front of a computer that when you ask to do things, "Hey, can you go buy me a gift? Hey, can you make dinner reservations? Hey, what's the answer to this question?" They have access. They have all your logins or how much access you want to give it. They can look at
2:41your calendar and say, "Yep, you're free at 2:00 p.m. Would you like me to send that email? Yep, looks like there's roses available. You want me to send some to your wife? Yep, that reservation is available at 7:00 p.m. this Friday. Do you want me to book it?" So, essentially that's what it is, right? It's not living anywhere else except for its own computer off in some other part of the universe. So, um I'm going to show you guys here some examples of um what I used it for. I'm going to skip through that, but essentially in this text, so you don't have to see all the
3:08names, I told I gave it a whole list of all these birthdays that I have in the list, and I told it to go ahead and uh send me an email every single time that uh it comes in, right? Or send me a text. So, now every morning that there's uh a birthday, a friend of mine is having a birthday, it's going to text me and say, "Hey, you know, Ryan's birthday, my buddy Ryan's birthday was literally yesterday. Why don't you go ahead and text him?" So, that's been a really great thing to have. I don't have to remind myself. I don't have to, you know, who goes on Facebook anymore? I
3:36don't have to do any of that. I just get a nice text. And how many times have you wished yourself that you had just had the ability to call or text somebody on their birthday? Everyone thinks they can be better at that, myself included. This now just puts it right in my phone. And so, now I don't have to see it in an app and then go back to the texting. Once
3:51again, we're just reducing friction. I can get that text and I can literally just open a new text right in that same app and then text the person or better yet, call the person and say, "Yo, happy birthday, feliz cumpleaños." So, um this is a really cool example here and guys, I'm just showing you the behind the scenes of what this is actually doing. This is not a demo. Um so, this is actually what it's doing for me. You can see here, this is my Thursday rundown. I had an a call from 9:30 to noon, then I was meeting with a new person at um noon was scheduled and then I had a L10
4:27at 3:00. So, you can see that there was a collision, right? There was a gap or two different things booked around the same time. Still waiting on Claire, right? It's going to watch and flag the second she answers. This is a client that we're waiting for them to respond to us and then some new leads came in. Uh tomorrow is light. Here's an intro and then not much going on except for lunch with Joe at Holdout. So, really cool. This is an operating system. One of my other videos goes through how I built this. This is a dashboard essentially that walks through all the
4:55stuff that I need for the day. Business and personal. It has weather, baseball scores, uh how much money my business is making, things like that. And so, it just gives me the link for it. I can open up and get a snapshot. I use audio message for it, which is super handy and my buddy Greg came over. He is actually going on his almost 2 years without looking at a screen and we are
5:14recording a documentary about his life. And um there's a couple things events coming up for him. He has a party coming up. So, while he was here, he just said, "Oh, by the way, I have a party coming up at 7:00 on Saturday." And I just recorded an audio message saying, "Hey, add party at Greg's at 7:00 on my calendar." Boom, sent it. So, it really for me, it helps reduce my phone use, ironically, because I can actually send these messages that instead of me having to be on my phone and go to my calendar and then click onto an event, mark it from 7:00 to 10:00, say Greg. That's not
5:46that big of a deal, right? It would have taken me two minutes, but those things add up and I feel like I was doing 10 of those a day and some of them take two to five minutes, then you get distracted by your phone, right? Something else pops up and it was probably an hour or two a day of just these little admin things that I don't have to do anymore. So, it just automatically added that, right? Uh you can see right here, this is being proactive. It's a decision I need from you. The domain warm-up on the cold one has paused. Do we want to keep it
6:12running? So, I've actually started using it for some business um connections as well where it is actually doing that work for me and uh warming up email inboxes, connecting to Goji Berry for leads, a lot of really cool stuff. So, here is a rundown Friday at 7:00 in the morning. It tells me all these things about business. It tells me that Amazon KDP for the book I wrote, the royalty payment's going to fail. Oh, no, it's my dollar and 50 cents. I'm not going to get it. Uh I'm getting the uh stuff about the AC, right? So, I should probably get someone to go check out
6:42what's going on. It's just because it's 110° here in Austin and so it's like a 30-year-old AC, so it's struggling. Uh the build on Boise is moving because once again, it can see the emails that I'm sending, so it lets me know what's going on there and then it can also go here and give me the dashboard again. Okay, now this is one of the coolest features. My wife and I are in a trusted network, so essentially our agents can my agent can communicate with her agent, okay? So, you can see here it
7:06proactively said, "Hey, Claire replied. She can do Tuesday the 22nd at 3:00. Do you want me to confirm it?" And I said, "Check with Ashley first that it works and then confirm it's in the email." And then Ashley confirmed the email just went to Claire. So, it actually went and checked Ashley's calendar for me and double-checked with Ashley through her instant agent. She said, "Okay." And then without me seeing anything ever again, it went and sent the email to Claire saying, "Yep, we're available at
7:29that time." That's when it gets really cool with your partner, with your husband, with your wife, with your dog, whoever you want to give the other instant agent to, is that scheduling and things like that where we used to have to go back and forth. "Hey, does this work? Hey, does that work? What are you doing this night? Now, I can just have it automatically check. Yep, looks like she's open. Boom, it books it and then it can send them a confirmation, just like an assistant. Another piece here that I'm not going to show just because of the actual company and things like that, but I did a refund request and it
7:57was for about $2,000 and I was able just to send it over. Said, "Hey, can you actually do that for me?" It went in and filled out the form, sent it over. The next day I got a confirmation saying, "Yep, your refund is on the way." So, my business partner and I went out to lunch on Friday. The card got rejected, not because of lack of funds, but because it said that it was not initiated, but I had activated it already. Anyway, long story short, can you look into the
8:20Mercury issue for me? And then, here's another email. Can you ask uh how much is this guy making before I pay him for consulting? And right here, there we go. Da da da. And then, yeah, just remove the part that says quick question before you set up and just ask the question. Boom, and
8:35then they send it. Here's a random one. My wife was curious when the UT Austin game is today. So, same day. I could have just gone to chat GPT, but I just wanted to ask right here cuz I was already in my text, right? I didn't have to go anywhere else. And I was just curious why some of these games say 7:02 instead of 7:00. So,
8:51asked it a random question like that. So, there's just all types of weird things like that that you can have it do. And then for business, you can see here in this audio message I told it I wanted to do a full business sweep and so you're going to see here it's going to do a daily pipe arm pipeline watch as an automation. So, every morning it's going to look through everything. My email calendar, the granola transcriptions that I have, for anything that needs follow-up, right? Any threads that are going cold. If you're like me, I spend I probably have five calls a day on average with
9:19potential partners and potential leads and clients. And so, it's just really hard sometimes to keep up with all those and this is what's really helping me is, "Hey, you haven't spoke to this person last week. That email thread went cold." Um it can't look at your text, which is a bummer because it'd be great in a lot of ways for it to say, "I saw you texted here, but then it dropped off. But it's able to really go through and see was there anything that we talked about in a call that I have as a to-do that I
9:43wasn't aware of? Um once again, a lot of this stuff you're saying could be done with Claude and ChatGPT. I am in Codex and in Claude most of my day, but the fact that it's just here in my text and able to handle a lot of this assistant level stuff like refunds, like reservations, and as well take care of some of the business stuff
10:00really makes a big big difference. Here it is scheduling a lunch for me. My buddy Tom responded saying he'd be good for Friday, and then it said, "Yeah, man, let's do early Friday, 11:30, Better Half on Wall Street work for you?" Looks like it's about halfway between both of us. Send it. And I said, "Yep, send it. Go ahead." Once again, guys, if you want beta access to it, you can click the link below in the description. You can click the first comment. I pinned it, and you have a link right there. It's going to take you to a landing page. You put in your email, and it's going to give you the
10:26link right there. You just open it, and you're going to be able to get this on your phone immediately. I have no connection to this company. I just think it's cool, and it's a good way to get y'all's email addresses in case you want to take some trainings, or you know a company who needs help with AI
10:39implementation, that's what we do. So you can see here, I'm going to do one more thing then I'm going to go through the pros and the cons. Uh this was a uh email, I'm sorry, you know, a website that I set up, and I got it set up with Alex at AI Capable Institute. But going through the DNS records and doing all that is a hassle all the time. And so I just have it do it for me while I'm working on other things. So it went through and actually set up the DNS records. It connected everything. It bought the Google um domain. It bought the workspace for the
11:07Gmail. And then I can just come back, and it has everything set up for me. So now that you've seen a big picture on all the different use cases, I know that was quite a bit. I do want to go through some of the good and the bad. So the good parts of Instinct is that it is seamless. It's proactive, as you can
11:23see. Uh really easy to make connections, so like to your Google Calendar, to Granola, um anything that you want to be able to connect so that it can see, um, they give you an encrypted vault that you put in your information on. Uh, business use cases, like I said, I've set up cold email campaigns. I've
11:41connected Goji Berry for the leads. Um, it sets up domains for me. It reviews I've had it review certain websites. So, I've used this like a little mini assistant. Um, I'm not using it for big work, right? Codex is still the the majority of what I'm doing in front of the computer, but it's great
11:56for these small things. The trusted network is huge. So, to be able to have the scheduling with my wife is legitimately a game-changing thing. To be able to text her and say, "Hey, is this this 6:00 p.m. work? I have this I have this opportunity." And it's able to just read her calendar immediately for me. Like I have an assistant talking to her assistant. Like you're special and important. It really is a a big, uh, life change for us to be able to do
12:18that. Just makes things so much easier. And, um, like I've mentioned before, it really just has like really cool assistant-level vibes, I would say, for lack of a better word. And, um, it makes me feel like I just have another member on our team or like a house manager, almost, that's able to take care of this a lot of stuff for us. Now, the not-so-good stuff. All right, this is
12:37kind of big, right? Privacy. Yeah, I mean, for me, my way of thinking around it is it has access to read-only for a lot of emails. I don't give it write access for my business stuff. It doesn't have access to bank accounts. Um, so, you know, it's a tough one. And we have given up so much privacy already in the name of convenience. And I don't know. It's a really, you know, that's a really, uh, slippery slope. And I feel like we've been there for 20 years. And so, what's another one, especially one that makes such a big difference in my life? That's just me. Maybe it's the
13:13wrong way to think. Maybe it's the right way to think. I don't know. You have to make your own decision about that. Um, the other thing is will it last? And that's a big one, right? Because Muse is coming out. There's there's 10 other competitors now. I've never seen one that has worked so well and has had so
13:28much hype within the iMessage space. Muz is still an app and like I said before, I don't think that that's that's that's still way more friction. Now, they have way more distribution because it's Meta. So, that might push it ahead. But, in terms of what actually is useful for people, the friends of mine that I have sent this to and gotten beta set up, the only thing I've heard is this is exactly what I've been
13:48wanting AI to do this entire time. Especially moms. I think moms and in fact just parents in general, but especially moms cuz they have to deal with all the kid scheduling and that a lot of times they're just more involved in that. Uh the moms that I've gotten set up on it has really changed their life. And um it's just a great little assistant. But, yeah, this doesn't They haven't made any revenue so far. They're not charging for it. So, I think they're just taking on VC funding and I There's a rumor that they're valued at $10 billion and
14:16they're raising a billion dollars. They're going to have to charge for it eventually unless they're just doing it as an experiment and then the kid is 22 years old and he's going to get you know, aqua-hired somewhere else and this was just like a fun project to get noticed. That could definitely happen and then it'll evaporate, but something else is going to definitely take its place. You're going to see a lot more of these things in iMessages because it really does make a massive difference to your day-to-day life, not just asking ChatGPT questions, not building automations for businesses, but like day-to-day on a Tuesday morning, "Hey, I
14:46need to find a breakfast spot. Hey, can you make dinner reservations for tonight?" It just handles that type of stuff. So, that's it. I know this one was a little bit more hype than the last one, but this is my honest assessment of what's going on. Uh they fixed a lot of the speed issues. I really like it. I have no connection to the company. If you want beta access, click below. You can get that page and it'll give you the link directly. You can be on it. Let me know what you think. Until the next one, guys. Have a great day. Have a great
15:11week. See you later. Bye.
