0:00Facebook released this new update called Andromeda. And since this update of Andromeda, there's been a lot of questions regarding testing, scaling, what does this update mean for me? And today, we'll be diving into exactly what's going on with the Adromeda update and how you can be running your Facebook ads to stay compliant with this update. So that way you don't pay the Adromeda tax and actually see a decrease in performance and stuff like that. So that
0:24being said, let's dive into the video. So what the hell is sent Andromeda? Basically, long story short, this is a new update that rolled out in July of 2025. They released this article by Meta back in December of 2024 kind of going over what to expect with this new Adromeda update. Now, I just highlighted a couple key things here that basically caught my attention and just things that like you could further just kind of take from it. But look, long story short, with this new update, they did a couple new things. And essentially what they did here is that they furthered continued the ongoing goal of removing
1:03as much human intervention as possible with Facebook ads to bas essentially make it a lot easier for just about anyone to fire up an ad account and start getting results. Now, um there was some algorithmic changes, but to be fair, nothing really major in the sense of like things that we've never seen before, but there was a couple things that you do need to understand. Next one is going to be around uh latency. Long story short, this just basically how quickly person when they're categorized for a specific segment of like, hey, this person went look at bed sheets online, right? How quickly they're going to start getting bed sheet ads. this
1:45particular person loves watching UGC videos, for example, how quickly they're going to start getting a lot more UGC videos fed to them. So, they reduce the what's called latency right here of how quickly someone will start seeing relevant ads, which is a really good plus right there because the quicker we can catch someone in a buying mood, the basically it improves performance a lot in that sense right there. Next thing they improved the efficiency as well of
2:11just simply delivering personalized ads. Basically now ads are going to be a lot more personalized to the specific user where like you know before for example over the years the algorithm has basically essentially gone ahead and improved this personalized deliverability. So, for example, years ago, like I'm talking back in like 2015, right? Where it was like, "Okay, these people like photos, these people like videos. Let's serve these video people more videos and the photo people more photos." Like, that's how personalized the algorithm was. And then since over the years now, it's a lot more granular to where it's like, "Hey, this person loves UGC videos. This person loves
2:55seeing this specific ethnicity in videos they watch. This person also loves like these color tone right here. This person's also struggling with this problem and also to this person loves videos like 15 seconds long. And it it's a lot more granular of how personalized the ad is now to each person. Now from here like the algorithm essentially just scans your ad and pulls all these attributes out of your creative. So the creative still creates the audience that people have just essentially um you know been preaching over the last couple years. I know I started preaching that around 2022 specifically and that's been the biggest thing. Now this basically
3:37just kind of going over more into how Advantage Plus as long as you're using Advantage Plus allowing Advantage Plus to do the budget the placements and like all of those good things you're going to be fine here. Just kind of going over back to the personalized ads part of how you know like basically now the new Adama update allows basically a highly customized deep neuronet network enabling a meaningful increase of model capacity of 10,000 times for uh enhanced personalization. Long story short, they're just in showing the fact that they rebuilt their kind of backend to handle more ads and more ads personalized to each specific user at a
4:13larger level. decrease lat latency for a faster, more efficient delivery of relevant and personalized ads. And then also too, this is also a big one right here that I love is that AI plays an important role in meta advertising system by leveraging the power of machine learning to predict which ads a person will find most interesting. A lot of y'all know I use CBO. I still use CBO. I have a case study in this particular video right here going over the CBO thing uh that we'll see in a little bit. Long story short, when you launch that ad in the CBO, it's fairly quick of how like those new winning ads
4:49take off and crushing the account. A lot of that is due to Meta's AI going through that ad and understanding how likely someone will convert based off of that. Yeah. And it goes way deeper than anything that we would possibly even know. So, I want to show youall some stuff. Now, long story short, all of these things were pulled from this particular article. I want to kind of go over now like key things of what we're doing since this new update. If you want to read the full article, I'll link it below. Uh but those are the key things that you know, long story short, that I
5:19wanted to go. This is something right here I wanted to show y'all. This is regarding the latency of how quickly you get served relevant ads. Uh here, this was just some random like page post real quick. Uh, I screenshotted this and then like almost immediately after I started seeing like other versions of it. And the reason why is because that's me engaging with an ad. And when you engage with an ad, what essentially happens here is that it signals to Facebook that, hey, uh, I like this ad or I like this post. And this works for both ads and posts. So I'm just making this reference with this post right now. And
5:57then basically what happened was after I screenshotted that post, like literally this was at 6:13 p.m., never followed this page, never did anything with this particular page before. Almost immediately I started getting that exact same creative style. And almost immediately after 6:18, 6:21, 6:22 p.m. right there. So within 3 to 4 minutes of me literally screenshotting this post because I like the idea of it to turn it into an ad. Me basically doing that. I immediately started getting other versions of that. Now just to show youall another example, I love screenshotting primary text. I've been seeing a lot of, you know, just case studies amongst my students of doing
6:40like long form primary texts and then so I screenshot a bunch of those. Long story short, I'm telling y'all this because I don't know if y'all seen this before, but I got a quoteunquote exposed on Twitter last week and uh yeah, basically due to uh me helping out a student right here in the inner circle kind of going over some market research and stuff like that. But that's why I tell you all that because I'm about to show youall a bunch of primary texts here that's uh what I would say
7:08relatively questionable. Long story short, I screenshot this post and then I started getting a whole bunch from different pages very very similar to that first one right there. Now again, how does this reference or how is this relevant to the Adromeda update? And it's what I'm noticing here is that Facebook all of a sudden start delivering me not just like hey you like heartbreaking sad savvy [ __ ] It's, hey, you also love that. Plus, you love long primary text. So, we're going to deliver more like that. Hey, you know, it's not that you're into boxing and fitness, but we also see that you're boxing fitness
7:54and you're also liking these new style creative types. So, we're going to give you more like that. We're going to give you more primary text like that. So what happens here is and what I'm noticing is that not just on the messaging we get from research and everything like that, we're also getting more relevant creative styles that's more that are more likely for me to engage with versus other creative styles. So now it's like you have the messaging itself that you develop from research and everything, but then you also have the creative styles. And then what essentially happens here is you need more diversification in the creative styles
8:32and stuff like that that you are deploying in your ad account. Because what's going to happen here is it's going to allow you to reach a lot more people. If you're only on UGC or if you're only doing long primary text, you're missing out on a lot of other people. So let's just say for example, we have a weight loss product or we have some type of supplement and this is our like our whole market right here. And then like you know this one right here is focus. This one right here is energy
9:01and this one right here is weight loss. Three different like core desires of why people would buy our product. Then I go down into the weight loss one for example which is like one-third of my market from our you know supplement. Then in this weight loss we have like these three different key personas that buy from us. Mom's on the go, menopausal woman, postpartum mom. So now let me go deeper into that persona. Now all of a sudden inside a menopausal woman we have like the women who love long form primary texts. We have the women who love the news style creative. We have women who love before and afters. We
9:34have women who love UGC. So now what we're seeing here is that if I try to run just only news style, I'm going to limit myself from reaching all of these other people. So it's important when we're looking at it from an ad account perspective that when we're targeting say for this this persona right weight loss for menopausal woman right we're not just all leveraged on one creative style we have a variety a diverse set of creatives for that particular um you know persona and on top of that we have a diverse set of personas and then on top of that we have a diverse set of
10:13reasons why people buy our product. This is how we maximize our market. Now, is this new to Andromeda though? No. And we're going to get into that in a little bit too as well. I don't see this as new specific to Andromeda. I see this as more as Facebook prioritizing best practices and making it more well-known so that way more people take action on it. So, big thing here is stop using the same video over and over and over. I've seen a lot of people essentially just find like one winning video ad and then they'll just take that body and just consistently keep putting new hooks on it and like this is where
10:53this is getting pentalized whereas Facebook wants to see a lot of diversity in hey you can still say the same messaging but display it in a lot of different ways is what people are looking for and that's your variations which a lot of people have also asked me about hey Nick what do you think about your 4040 20 which is 40% iterations 40% variations 20% new messaging I still stand very strong with that because that's still in line with how Andromeda uh wants us to create ads so you want to create visuals with intention this is a big key thing here for example this is three different creatives I created
11:32right all three of these are going to reach different people for example we have this guy obviously this is going to be more relevant to a guy, a younger guy specifically. We have a girl who is um African-American. She is going to specifically uh be more relevant with the African-American audience. And then we have a white girl right here who's going to be more relevant to a white girl audience. So, all three of these creatives have small differences between them, but they're all a big swing in between each one. If I uploaded just this one guy right here and then I just changed the background on all three of
12:15these with the same guy in all three of these with just a slight change in the background color. That would be really bad. It wouldn't be visually different enough for this. So let's go into ad account structure now. Now that we kind of know Andromeda wants to see more diversification your creatives, your your personas and stuff like that. um and how to actually create those visuals with intention. How are we structuring our ad account here? That's what we want to be looking at next. So, first things first, I'm still rocking the single CBO campaign structure per business objective. What do I mean by business objective? Let's say I have a women's
12:58collection and a men's collection on my website. I'll have a CBO campaign for the men's collection. I'll have a CBO campaign for the women's. Let's say I'm selling jackets and pants. I would have a CBO campaign for the jackets. I'd have a CBO campaign for the pants. And then let's also say I have I don't know a USA like I have a I have people are people buying from USA, Canada, Australia. I'd have a CBO campaign for Canada, CBO campaign for Australia, CBO campaign for USA. So those are different examples of business objectives here. Now um inside of that we have the campaign budget selected for the budget right here with
13:37advantage plus on advantage plus cataly catalog ads off and then inside of here I'm just simply creating new adsets for each different creative concept. Now for me each ad set I'm going to do research. I'm going to go write a hook based off of that research. Then I ask myself, do I want to make a video or photo for this? Some things that we need to communicate to our audience. It's very difficult to do it photo. So we'll do it video. Sometimes there's things we need to communicate to our audience. It's very simple. We can do it through a photo. It just depends on what you need
14:16to communicate to your audience, whether we do a photo or a video. And what I'll essentially do here is I'll either do three photos with same hook but different visuals or I'll do three videos with same hook but different visual hook. And just show you an example of that real quick. This is three different photos right here. All with a different visual on them. Notice how I focus on the visual that's going to create the biggest impact. So here we have a girl that looks like in her room
14:45showcasing her skin, how clear it is. Here we have a girl that's actually going through the treatment. And then here we have a girl just outside, different kind of uh scenery and stuff like that. And just a completely different like, you know, more natural looking photo versus this right here. Now here we have video ads. Again, it's going to be the same exact video all three times. The only difference here is the visual hook. So, you can see right here, this video uh the visual hook starts off completely different on this, but you'll notice the script is exactly the same. Let's go here. Video starts uh
15:22exactly the same script, but different visual hook. And then same here. Different visual hook, same script. Boom. So, that's what we do there. And yes, some of these adsets have photos. Some of these have videos. You can do photos and videos in the same campaign. I don't know why there's still people out there that still believe you need separate campaigns. It's just it makes zero sense of why. The only logical argument that people have to it is, well, hey, my photos can't compete with my videos or my videos can't compete with my photos. And you know what I got to say to that? you make terrible
16:03[ __ ] photos or your audience just simply does not respond with photos or another thing I like to look at is that our more top offunnel creatives are solution aware problem aware and unaware those creatives typically do better with video typically not in all cases because I do know plenty of people that use photo ads with avitorials that crush for top of funnel and then bombafunnel product aware and aware typically do better with photo ads again that's typically do I test both to see what works better absolutely I do it for every account so you definitely want to test both but typically that's what it
16:51looks like for me now let's go a little bit further how these creatives are set up obviously pixel purchases we're optimizing we're doing standard for attribution model. I also do auto or lowest volume, whatever it is. I don't do any cost caps or bid caps or anything like that, so don't worry about that. And then for the audience, we're doing that advantage plus audience. I've had weird questions in the past of like, "Hey, Nick, uh, I sell like women's lingerie, but I'm targeting men and women, and all the spin goes to men because bunch of horny guys are like clicking on my [ __ ] photos and my
17:27ads." Like, what do I do here? Do I just cannot use Advantage Plus and my ad account's going to [ __ ] tank? It's like, bro, just remove men off of it. Like, you make sense to only target women in that case right there. So, like, when you know for a hard fact that it's only one particular gender that's buying, I'm going to come in right here and just only target that gender. Don't over complicate it. As far as age, I'm doing 18 plus on 90% of our accounts. Uh this particular account right here is 21 plus because we're selling gun parts um and like accessories for guns. So like
18:04we get a lot of rejections and ad account bans if we target below 21. But for the majority like I'm targeting 18 plus. I do have exclusions right here. TS 30-day purchases. To be fair for exclusions. I've been seeing Facebook just completely ignore exclusions lately. I forget to add exclusions. I would say about 80% of the time like when I'm running ads for clients and stuff. So like I'm not even worried about exclusions. It's just simply not needed because the creative creates the audience and if you create an ad for cold audience, it's going to reach more cold people. If you create an audience, an ad for lowerfunnel people, uh it's
18:40going to reach more cold people. I mean uh your like lowerfunnel people and stuff like that. So like exclusions are just not even needed when you know how to create ads for different stages of uh the awareness in the funnel placements. I'm doing a plus, you know, vantage plus as well. Leaving that to Facebook. Now, as far as ad set level uh again, we have our in this case right here, we have our three videos like we said earlier, three videos or three photos. So, inside this adset, which will be like I think it's be 214 right here. Boom. In 214 right
19:14here, uh we have our three videos. Now I have literally everything off for ad creatives. I have site links off, products off, like all of those good things. Related media media is off. Like literally everything that Advantage Plus on the creative level of off right now. Definitely not something I want. Now we are uploading two primary text and two headlines and stuff. The only downside with this is that like you literally cannot see at all what's the winner. So in this particular case, a way around this for people who want to see, you literally take these three, you duplicate it so you have six. And then
19:50when you duplicate it to have those six right there, what'll essentially happen is three of them will be with one primary text and the other three will be the other primary text. Simple as that. Don't overthink it. Cool. Now, turning ads off and going into kind of how we make some of these ad account decisions with Andromeda. Number one, I click on our campaign that we're going to dive into. And then what I do is is I make sure there is no adset selected. I can't tell y'all how many times I'm hopping on calls with people and I'm like, "All
20:21right, click on ads for one campaign." And they specifically go click an adset first and like I scream at them. Like, don't [ __ ] click that. Just literally campaign. And then go and click on this big tab that says ads for one campaign. That's it. And then the next thing you want to do is go to last seven days. And then from there, you literally going to click on this button that says amount spent. You literally just click on the text and it'll sort from highest to lowest spender. Now, I personally love the columns performance and clicks. It gives me everything I need. I can see my
20:54cost per purchase. I can see my frequency. I can see my amounts spent. That's all I need to know. All I need to know to make decisions in an account. And then also cost per click, which I can just see if I just scroll over a little bit to the right. Ideally, I want to see highest cost per purchase at the top and everything down just kind of is below that cost per purchase. Ideally, you know, in this particular case right here, there's a couple ads that are a little higher than my highest spending ad for cost per purchase. So, for those particular ads right there, you know,
21:24I'm not going to necessarily turn them off all at once. I'll just turn like, for example, this one at a $28 cost per purchase right here. So, like I would turn that off, give it two or three days, and then I'll turn off the next one. Turning off too many ads off at once can like just completely [ __ ] your account. Now, I also want to show youall something else that I've been experimenting with. And I'm actually experimenting with this with my own
21:45money, not even a client account. Currently running ads right now for one of my, you know, info programs, my inner circle specifically. And last seven days, we've uh we actually had a much lower cost per results on that. It's actually, here's the updated one I just added in. We're at a $50 $51 cost per lead. That's qualified or qualified cost per lead. So basically what that means is that when people go apply to the inner circle, they go through a jot form that asks them a series of questions and if they're qualified, the lead event will fire back to Facebook and if they're unqualified, the lead event does
22:19not fire at all. So that way Facebook only optimizes around qualified people. Now, in this particular case right here, we I was personally I personally run this account myself because it's my own brand and stuff. And we were turning ads off or I was turning ads off based off like, you know, not hitting target KPIs and stuff like that. You can see right there, I was getting an average about $75 cost per lead. Now, just literally letting everything run, not touching anything. Regardless if the cost per lead's high or low or whatever, we're getting a $51 cost per lead. So now, all I'm doing is uploading ads to the
22:58account. I'm not turning anything off and then just letting it roll. That's it. And then now I'll just have to upload ads and adjust budget. That's it. Now, I do want to mention here, this is something that I'm still testing, but so far it's working really well for me. It's also working well for a handful of students that's also did this and took action with it. Now, they're also seeing way better results. Me personally, why do I believe this works so well is because yes, you may have ads in the account that has a really bad cost per lead or cost per result. But they all
23:35serve different places in the funnel and Facebook uses all those ads collectively together to hit your KPIs and rotate these ads through your audience and stuff like that. So, in this particular case, not turning any ads off allows Facebook to leverage the ads that's helping it build that funnel internally to be able to, you know, get you good results and stuff. So, me personally,
23:59that's why I think it works really well. Um, and so far, you know, I would definitely recommend giving that a test. That's what I'm personally testing right now. I wouldn't say it's 100% going forward, but it's something I'm testing right now, and we're seeing good results with it. I also want to keep in mind here that if I do upload an ad and it takes overall spin in the first 72 hours and it just performs extremely bad to the point where overall performance just tanks, I will turn that ad off. I'm not going to [ __ ] keep riding that ad out. Just being very clear here because
24:34a lot of you guys take things way too serious and it's just like, "Oh, hey Nick, ad account was working perfectly fine. I tried your strategy of not turning any ads off and I launched an ad that took over all spin and guess what? My account tanked. I'm like, well then turn the ad back off. Why? Like again with the exception here. All right. Now,
24:55let's talk about consolidating adsets. There's been a lot of people just kind of pushing out this idea that now with Andromeda, you need to have as few of adsets as possible and like fill the adset up of creatives. So, let's kind of talk about that real quick. Number one, we are testing it. This is an adset right here. We kind of filled it up. Um, and and when I say fill up, people get this this idea in their head that they need to go launch a new ad set and spend
25:21all day cranking out 50 [ __ ] ads. That's not the case here. When I say fill it up, that means that might be a couple weeks. Over the span of a couple weeks, every time I launch new ads, I'm just going to keep putting it in the same ad set. Once it hits 50, I'll go to that next one. I know people that launch 200 creatives a week. I know people that launch eight. The only difference is their team size. That's it. Huge teams can launch more ads. Small teams, less ads. It's pretty straightforward. In this particular case right here with this account, you know, we started
25:53filling it up with ads and we tested that structure. I'm also testing on a couple of other ad accounts as well. And then that's the the other way which we talked about earlier which is a new ad set and each new ad set has its own like particular creatives. Now, the whole idea behind this is to have fewer adsets where you don't really have to worry about learning limits. Now, personally, I'm not noticing any
26:18difference on this. Zero difference. Like, should you stack adsets and launch a bunch of creatives or yeah, fill up adsets or just stack adsets with new ideas? I see zero difference on this, which means do whatever the [ __ ] you want. Like I can't tell y'all how many times I've talked to people and they're like literally like life or death thinking that like everything's going to end if they choose the wrong decision. I'm like yo, it does not matter. At the end of the day, Facebook is going to spend on
26:55the ad that delivers the best results. Regardless if you have 50 adsets or you have one adset with 50 ads in it, it makes zero difference. Great example right here. I have this one particular client. We just found a new winning ad for it. And this winning ad is allowing us to do over $20,000 a day in sales at 5K a day in profits. So, inside of here, we launched this ad set with the, you know, three creatives like I just showed y'all earlier. We launched
27:30that on September 16th of 2025. And then, you know, at the time, this is about the performance that we were doing. Well, guess what? September 19th, over the course of three days, it gradually took more and more spin. And then boom, it literally helped us go all the way up to 12K a day in sales. And
27:52then now, this was September 19th. Today's Monday, September 22nd. I checked Triple Well before this. We were literally at $21,000 in sales yesterday. So, this is helping us scale tremendously for this account. You just have to make sure that you are on that CBO structure right there. If you're using [ __ ] and you have 50 adsets in an [ __ ] Facebook can't just spin all the one adset and let it rise to the top because it's an [ __ ] campaign. It's why I use CBO. So that way I let Facebook do
28:26the thing itself. So does not matter. Again, I'm seeing zero difference whether you do three creatives per ads set and launch a new adset every creative or if you do two adsets or you do one adset and fill up with 50 creatives then move to the next one then move to the next one. Zero difference here. I personally like the structure of launching a new ad set every time we create new creatives. And and let me be very clear here. This is also why I like each particular creative concept to have its own particular adset. Now when I say that that doesn't mean I keep launching
29:12creatives in that adset or you know around that particular concept. Every time I launch new creatives I create a new adset per concept and then if I do iterations of a concept that's going to be a new ad set and so on. So in this particular case right here, you know, just to show you an example right here, these are a bunch of different assets we have live right now. Each one is its own different types of creatives that's going on in it. So let's be very very clear on that. Cool. Next thing is
29:41scaling campaign. And let me break this up into two parts. Scaling the campaign and having a scaling campaign. So, here's an here's a basically long story short of how we scale the campaign. This was the 15th of September. We were at $2,600 a day in adsman. Then we increased it. We increased it, I think on the 16th right here. Then we increased it again and then again and then again. So, long story short, we kept increasing by 20% a day. And this one CBO campaign right here is where we have all of our ad sets and ads. And then we allow Facebook to spend on what works best. That's it. So
30:27we can see right here, this 113.2 took overall spin. Like I said, this is the one that took overall spin on the 19th. This is how it's structured inside of there. Three videos and the two primary texts and two headlines. when it took overall spend in the CBO campaign, it dropped cost per purchase. We can see cost per purchase right here dropped. It was averaging roughly around $30. Then it dropped down to 26. Then it dropped down to 24. And you can see we started increasing that spin. And you know, here we spent $6,200 or $6,600 at $26 CPA, whereas before it was doing about $30
31:08cost per purchase at two roughly 2 3k a day in ad spend. And we did that by finding a new winning creative. And then just simply clicking on that campaign right here, clicking on the little edit tool right here, going to campaign budget, and then we select the increase daily budget by, and then we do the percentage, and I just click on 20%. and
31:31I increased the campaign by 20%. Basically, every day I looked back at yesterday and said, "Hey, did we hit KPIs?" I don't know what your KPIs are. Some people look at rorowass. Some people look at cost per purchase. There's no wrong number as long as you know your numbers and you know that, hey, if I hit a $20 CPA, I can scale to the moon. If I hit a 100x rorowass, I can scale to the moon. We have some clients that literally scale at a 0.9 rorowaz and
32:05they have a break even rorowaz of 1.5. They lose money on first order, but because their LTV is so good, they can afford to scale like that to outspend their competitors a lot faster. You may be in a different boat. You may need a 3x rorowass. You may not even look at rorowass and look at cost per purchase. I look at cost per purchase. Is there any real main difference? To be fair, not. I just like cost per purchase is a lot more just streamline a set number and go for it which technically realize you could do the same too. So increase budget by 20% every day that you're
32:41hitting KPIs yesterday. Now the next thing here is that I'm not decreasing budget the minute performance declines. I'm when performance starts to decline I just hold budget for about 3 days and then if it's still declining then I'll start decreasing. Um, a lot of times performance will decline and we just don't do anything and it picks back up and rockets. A lot of y'all are way too fast at decreasing spin and it hurts performance. So, I don't want to do that. Now, iterations and variations
33:10with this new Andromeda update. So, got a few questions around it and long story short, still 80% iterations variations, 20% new messaging. What does that mean? That means if I create 10 ads in a week, two of those ads are going to be new messaging. The other eight are going to be eight iterations or eight variations or four iterations, four variations, seven iterations, one variation, does doesn't matter. Just as long as like 80% of that iterations, variations. Now, for variations, this is where you want to diversify your winning messaging with
33:51new concepts and visuals to go with it. If we go all the way back to what we talked about earlier, basically when I find a winning messaging around menopausal women who want to lose weight, maybe it's like the five hacks to lose weight fast as a menopausal woman. Then I can create some creatives with long form primary text going through those five hacks. I can create a new style ad like let's see this one right here where it's like the five hacks of losing weight fast for a menopausal woman then send people to an advtorial. I can do like a UGC video for example where you know I go and have
34:34like a girl storytelling those five hacks right there. The before and after. I could do like a before and an after of the five hacks and then send people to a page again another avitorial to learn the five hacks right there. So it's the same messaging just split up and diversifi diversified between these. So that's the key things right there with the uh variation side right there. Now iterations is the same thing that we talked about earlier. every iteration we do. And an iteration for me is just going to be literally the same ad. We're
35:08just going to do new visuals with it. So, let's go back to this one right here. Right? We got white guy, African-American girl, and a white girl. Let's say I want to do an iteration of this where I test an older guy who looks like he's 30 years old. Let's say I want to go do an iteration of this where I
35:26want to test an African-American guy. Like those are examples of big swings within iterations. Whereas, hey, let me go run this same creative with 50 different shades of gray that's just slightly different. That's terrible. So, new visuals, um, I also like to talk about right here where we go into those new visuals around iterations. And let's say for example, it's more of a video, right? and I can be more intentional with the videos. So, for example, with like UGC, for example, we already have 50 videos with guys holding the product and talking. Maybe I want to go find a
36:07girl now to do the product and talking. Like, I'm still making a big enough swing within that iteration to keep it as new content to please the Andromeda update. Now, new messaging. This is basically where we take our desire, awareness, sophistication, persona. We take that combo right there and we change one of these. So like let's say I just want to go and change the persona, right? I'd go build new creatives, new landing pages specifically for that persona. Desire, new creatives, maybe a
36:39new probably a new landing page as well. Awareness, maybe we have no aware ads or product aware ads. I'll go build those aware and product aware ads. Right? So these things right here is what starts at the top and drives all the messaging and visuals that we're going to create uh from there. Now landing page testing. I also want to make sure this is very like put in with the Andromeda update as well. This is a great example right here of a client where you know we just took this client on and we created 10 unique videos. And I say unique as they all have different visuals and they're all
37:14from research and they're all different angles. And then we basically duplicated those 10 videos four times. Uh you can see right there 101 101 101 101. The only difference between these four right here is that they have a different landing page. And we can see right here we had one landing page take overall spin and crush relative to the other landing pages, which is this listicle right here. So we're testing landing pages like we're testing creatives. I can't tell y'all how many people I tr I
37:46recommend to test a few landing pages. They build one landing page, it doesn't work, and they say, "Nick, I tested a landing page and it doesn't work." You have to treat landing pages like creative testing. You cannot treat it like it's just a oneanddone thing. if you want to use landing pages to improve your performance. Now, the big question
38:08here, does Andromeda affect performance? Because there's so many people now basically talking about, hey, uh, you know, since this Andromeda update, like my performance is terrible. I've had to scale down all of this stuff basically. and how do I play with Andromeda in this new age to that way I can actually respect the algorithm and make the best performance. So let's just go over a few things here. Andromeda like went into effect July of 2025. Towards the end of
38:44July 2025, Andromeda went into update. Coincidentally at this time we also have August. August is always a bad month for us. like August and January like two uh typically the two worst month yearover-year for us across our clients, students, everything like that. Now, let's kind of look into why because it's important to understand that it's not just numbers you're looking at. There's people on the other side of your ads
39:12that do people things. And last week of July plus the first week of August, this is where a lot of people take last minute vacations before school starts. Kind of like still people are traveling and stuff like that during this time. And like you know it's just kind of like known that June and July is summer regardless if you have kids or not like that's where a lot of people
39:37like to take their vacations and stuff. And we'll just see people taking last minute vacations that last week of July, first week of August which again takes money they would spend with you and puts it somewhere else. So there's less people that want to buy your product. Then you have the first plus second week of August. You have school shopping. You have college kids buying their own stuff and some high school kids. You have moms and dads buying stuff for little Timothy so little Timothy can go to private school and you know he needs school uniforms, binders, notebooks, book sacks. You know, little Sarah, she's
40:16actually going to private school. Timothy, you know, he flunked out of private school, so he's going to public school, so he's going to free school. But Lil Sarah, she's going to private school. So now like she has a high tuition of like I don't know $10,000 a year and parents have to make the first check to it. So again money people would spend with you has just been moved away and being spent elsewhere. So again another event happening literally one after the other of why people are not focusing on you. Then you have second and third week of August where school starts. So, school's starting. This is
40:51again college kids, high school kids and stuff where, you know, they're probably going to school themselves. But then you have like the younger kids where, you know, mom and dad have to take little Sarah and little Timothy to school. And then what essentially happens here is that now mom who goes to her 6 a.m. Pilates class has to get up even earlier now, has to go to another class, or maybe she goes at the end of the day now. And like at the end of the day is usually where like her scrolling is happening on Facebook and stuff. So now her whole schedule's thrown out the
41:22window and she has to reset her schedule and like essentially she's not scrolling on Facebook all day like you guys scroll on Twitter cuz y'all don't do anything. Sure. Basically jobless trying to get your Shopify store rolling. And in this particular case, like she's just simply busy and she cannot touch Facebook as often, which means less people on Facebook ready to buy your product right now, which again shifts spin away off your product. Now, lastly, fourth week of August, this is where people start to launch Labor Day sales in the USA. This is actually if you know how to captivate on this and you launched a Labor Day
41:59sale, this is a great opportunity right here for you to make up some money and stuff, which is good. I know for us, all of our students did really well for Labor Day. So, it's also important to be in the right rooms. And then lastly, first week of September is the actual Labor Day. And then usually second week of September, which is around September 14th, we start to see performance pick back up to normal. So usually uh you know the last three weeks of September we typically see better performance and things starts rocking and rolling. We're good to go. Now problem here is that we also had four different instances of ad
42:39delivery issues in September. So this is all from the metabiz status Twitter page. All it is is an API Twitter page that's connected to the actual metabus bizstatus.com to where metal reports ad outages and stuff like that. And uh in this particular case right here, September 15th, September 10th, September 8th, and September 4th, they all had days of ad delivery issues. Now meta doesn't describe in detail what's affected like hey you know the IG real placement is not being populated correctly for example or hey we can't target women over 40 right now like meta doesn't describe in detail of what the outage is so just being very clear on that so we
43:29don't know technically how high or low it disrupt things besides like high disruptions or low disruptions and stuff like that but long story short We know these four days of the month of September was literally the algorithm [ __ ] up and it's hard and difficult for the algorithm to serve your ads to the correct audience. Now, on top of this, I also have to keep in mind here that usually when one of these statuses pop up like this, there's 24 hours of inconsistent performance before it and 24 hours after. So, if we look at September 15th right here, this shows to
44:08me that things were probably [ __ ] up. September 14th, September 15th, it was like acknowledged finally. And then September 16th is that it's fixed, but the ad account is trying to play catchup and reoptimize and [ __ ] like that. And long story short, it's not just September 15th, it's September 14th through the 17th that we see performance issues. So, this right here shows that there was 12 days basically in September. It's September 22nd as the day I'm filming this video. That leaves only 10 good days of the month in September. Not to mention the, you know, if we look at um the first and second
44:45week of Labor Day and stuff like that, there was also some stuff that was kind of me throwing around. And then, you know, there was some very, very, very sad and tragic events that happened in the USA in September. I'm not going to go in detail on what those events were, but uh you know, if you're in the USA, you know, or you know, if you are any mainstream social media network right now, again, just some very, very sad, tragic, unfortunate events that happened in the USA. Um we we saw a, you know, very big decline in performance during that time right there. I I don't really
45:16like, you know, putting very sad and tragic events like that and measuring like performance around it. I just I don't I just feel very weird about that as a human. But um you know we did see a decline in performance when that happened and that was I'd say if I when the event happened for the next two to three days we saw as high as 80 to 90%
45:39uh decreases in performance and stuff. But yeah so just also want to put that out too. There was some things that happened in September with that and that's completely out unrelated to delivery issues. um that was completely unrelated to anything we could technically control as business owners. So on top of you know the 12 days of delivery issues, we also had uh this very unfortunate event that happened um that puts us at about 15 days of issues
46:09now um with performance in September. Did Andromeda really change anything? Or was it just coincidental that hey, Adrama launched in January, but people who are new to advertising or people who just haven't been in this game long enough. I've been in this game for 10 years now running Facebook ads. 10 years. I've gone through 10 different Augustes before and every August has
46:36been the same for me, which was shipped. It was bad. And yes, September is always the month to improve and to do good, but this wasn't like any of the other Septeers we've had past. So, was this an Andromeda issue or was this just a simple coincidential issue? And for me personally, I look at this as all
47:00coincidential. And there's nothing new about Andromeda at all. Andromeda is just simply meta taking best practices that I've been teaching on this YouTube channel now since 2022. You can go back all the way back to 2022 where I really started preaching ad creates the audience, marketing fundamental, different angles, building fresh visuals and stuff like that. And this Andromeda update was literally what I talked about in the past, which is, hey, eventually we're going to get to a point where it's a budget. You're just going to see a big thing that says budget and you can enter whatever number you want and then an upload button. And then that upload
47:42button is just where you're going to upload your creatives and let Facebook do the work. Facebook is further removing as much human interaction with the algorithm and the control and the platform. So that way only thing you can do is upload creatives. And there's nothing wrong with that. I embrace that. I think that's the best possible thing for people because it allows you to focus only on what you can control, which is the creative side, the landing
48:09page side, your offer, and your AOV. Now, from here, the fact that Meta is finally acknowledging this and saying, "Hey, like if you look back at Meta back in like 2023, 2024, or I would say late 2022, early 2023, that's when they used to push their big five, right?" which was like simplified account structure, creatives, boom, you know, so and so. But because the market's getting more sophisticated, Meta can't just say, hey, you know, focus on creatives. Now it's we need to change the messaging to appeal to advertisers because all advertisers know that. And that's why now it's no longer just creatives, it's creative diversity, right? which is, hey, still focus on
48:56creatives, but just don't keep creating the same creative over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. It's, hey, create the same creative with the same messaging, but also change it up with different visual formats, different creative styles and stuff like that, different demographics of people, different desires, different awareness, different personas, have more diversification in that as you scale to where you can help reach more of your market. If you reach more of your market, you can spend more and you can be more profitable on the platform. And then it's just the simple fact that now Meta is acknowledging
49:28this. And because Meta is acknowledging this, now people are taking it more seriously. So for me personally, I look at September being just a decline month as purely coincidental. And then basically what happened is now people who didn't take Andromeda seriously when it first came out now saw performance dip due to a coincidence in September and then now they have FOMO and they are given a new mechanism to chase with this hope of that all of a sudden their performance is going to improve. you'll watch this video now you have new hope
50:07that the performance will improve. That's what's called introducing a new mechanism in marketing and strategy and all those good things. So, if anything, I want you to take not one but two big steps back and look at this overall picture here and allow yourself to understand that you're literally in the meta's marketing what I would say like strategy right now of a new mechanism being introduced and recreate that recreate the sense of hey a problem amongst the markets going on and a new mechanism was introduced to solve that problem and now everyone's freaking out over about it. Go recreate that with your market, with your product, and you
50:50know, leverage some type of urgency around that for people to go take action. This is a great example of urgency and how it's different from a perspective of just looking at it from a countdown timer or a discount. Now, who will hurt from Andromeda? Because like it or not, there will be people that do suffer from Andromeda. Number one, media buyers. Like, if you're a media buyer where like your only job is to manage the ad account, like Facebook just took another jab at you to basically be like, "Oh, [ __ ] My job will be extinct in a couple years from now." If you only know
51:29how to upload creatives, create a campaign, duplicate a campaign, launch a few campaigns, change the budget, and that's it. You should be scared. You need to understand that that's a very lowpaying ability. Now, I just mentioned in this video of how we're seeing better performance now by just uploading creatives, adjusting the budget, and leaving everything on. So, if you're a media buyer, I just devalued even further because now I just need someone who uploads ads. I just need someone that can actually sit down and be like, "Okay, hey, I need to go upload 50 videos." And I just personally rather pay a VA $5 an hour to go do that for me
52:15because I don't want to do it. It's a useless just waste my time right there. Now, brands who think they can use media buying hacks, uh, which technically this will still go with number one, but I still meet brand owners to this day. I'm literally talking to a brand owner right now. They're running the same creatives since like January and this particular brand hasn't tested any new creative since January and they're convinced that they need a complex ad account structure to fix the performance. It's nothing to do with the creatives or anything like that. What essentially happens here is then they create this false belief that
52:56they need to go do some media buying hacks and these media buying hacks to solve performance issue. They need to go duplicate campaigns five times. They need to go do cost caps, bid caps. They need to go like test all these ad account structures and stuff to hopefully beat the algo and continue to
53:11run their creative that's just terrible. And then lastly, brands who don't take creative landing pages offer an AOV seriously. There is people that are creating creatives, but they don't treat it seriously. They spend two minutes pulling something random from chat GPT and uploading to the account. They don't do any research they don't understand marketing fundamentals and these people as well while they are taking better practices and while they are in the right direction these people as well will be getting hurt because they just essentially don't apply themselves enough and they won't again they'll they'll see the less amount of damage but they they definitely have some room
53:58for improvement right there. So overall, Andromeda from my perspective, this is just simply Facebook again pushing BR best practices. We saw it with Advantage Plus where they removed as much targeting as possible. And I'm like, hey, I'm cool with this because guess what? Like I was already preaching age, gender, location, broad targeting, and now Facebook's just further making it to where you just don't even have to question whether you need to do an
54:28audience. And then now they're just doing the same thing. Hey, like you need to be focusing more on creatives, creative diversity. Cool. Have I ever preached on this channel? Just find one winning creative and scale the account. You only need one ad. Like don't get me wrong, you will find that one or two ads that just create a substantial big inference in your account. But I've always preached new creatives. I've always preached going ahead and testing different messaging based off awareness, sophistication, desires, and things like that. I've shown y'all countless examples and stuff. None of that is new here. All of it is just finally being
55:06acknowledged by Meta and leveraging a pain that people are experiencing due to September having a what I would say just off month compared to previous Septeers where performance is just a little worse this month. Now you're feeling that pain of performance being decreased and Facebook is hanging this adrama the thing above your head like a carrot which is like this new mechanism giving you a new sense of hope and now you want to chase that thing thinking it's going to completely change your performance which is completely false. It won't magically change your performance because you went from multiple adsets to a single adset. It won't magically
55:50change your performance because, you know, all of a sudden now you go create a couple different messaging for your diversification, but it's the same creative with the same just a different hook on each one. It won't magically change your performance if you just go get Chachi BT to write you 50 ads and like there's no research behind it or anything like that. You still have to put the work in. It's just now it's well known now by Meta. If anything, now is something you should take even more seriously. And if you're in that boat right now where you're like, "Hey, Nick, like this is amazing. I want to be
56:27Andromeda up like compliant and I want to be able to crush it and move further with this." Then how about this? Click link below. I have my inner circle. Inside my inner circle, I do one-on-one calls with you going over your ad account specifically. And inside of there, we can go over your creatives, your landing pages, your offer, your AOV, even work on some ads together, me and you. And not to mention, you also get group chat, group calls, course, all of that on top of that where I'm the coach and I'll help you actually build out those creatives right there and help you with those messaging you
57:04specifically need for your brand to be able to scale and that diversification there. If you want that one-to-one help right there, then click link below to have Nick Tero mentor you. Now, if you're like, "Hey, Nick, I just want you to run the ads himself. I don't want anything to do with that." Then click link below to have Nick Tero run your ads.
