0:00Ed marketing isn't just about automating manual marketing tasks. It's also about using AI in the smartest way to find opportunities in gaps that your competitors might be missing. The way that I go about this is by prompting Manis or Chat GPT03. Lately, I've been really on to Manis uh because I've been super impressed by the level of research and how it compiles information and gives me actionable steps that I can go and implement. So, I'm going to walk you through a little bit around how I use it to find opportunities and execute from them. So the first step that I follow is that I take all of the assets in my

0:44customer journey or my funnel and I load them into Manis as artifacts. So if you think about your funnel, you've basically got, you know, three stages here. You've got the top of the funnel, which we'll call traffic. You've got leads, which is kind of the middle of the funnel. And then you've got conversion. So within traffic, the assets that you might upload into Manis or the LLM that you use are your ads, maybe content that's trying to attract people to your website, things of that nature. What's the first touch point that a prospect is interacting with? The next one is after they, you know, click an ad or come to your website from a

1:23piece of content, uh, what's the experience that they're landing on? It could be a landing page. It could be a lead magnet. A lead magnet is something like a guide or a webinar or a video. Maybe it's an ebook or a quiz, something like that, where your prospect is submitting their email in return uh for value from you. The third step is your conversion step. Now, this is where your nurturing sequences, your email follow-ups, your sales pages, thank you

1:56pages, things like that come into play. So, what I want you to do is upload as many assets as possible and categorize them in your LLM. Say, "Hey, here's the traffic assets. Here's the leads assets, and here's the conversion assets." Strong bonus if you have data on your conversion funnel from Google Analytics or whatever tool that you use to measure the conversion rates and the sales uh

2:23through your marketing activities. upload that as well so that your LLM can get an understanding of where it needs to focus to find opportunities that will boost your ROI. Okay, next step, competitors. So, the next thing that I like to do um is essentially upload very similar assets uh into the LLM. I obviously don't have conversion reports uh from my competitor's businesses, but I can go and collect their assets. I can also automatically collect their assets by going out and scraping their websites, scraping their ads libraries, all kinds of juicy stuff like that with Gum Loop or inate. Once I have that information, I can go and plug it into a

3:08super smart model uh like Manis. So, what I'll do is essentially have it do a deep research project and then I'll have it structure all of these assets uh into a table between, you know, my business and my competitor's business and highlight the gaps. What are the areas that competitors are executing well that I'm not? What are areas that, you know, I'm doing that competitors aren't? What are we all missing? So, highlight those

3:34in a very organized and structured way. Once I'm confident that my LLM has all of that data and all of that information, the next thing that I do is I start prompting to look for opportunities. Now, something that I want to remind everyone of is that uh I'm never trying to like oneshot a

3:52prompt and get everything that I need. This is like a continual flow, a continual process where you're working with the LLM as like your intelligent agent or intelligent assistant. So, it's a conversation and you have to go back and forth quite a bit to get to the output that you're really looking to uh to to produce. So, one of the prompts that I like to use to kind of set the stage or set the frame uh with the LLM is this. You're a direct response marketer specialized in your industry or niche who perfectly blends influence and persuasion across every potential customer touch point while maintaining an elevated brand experience that builds

4:36trust and goodwill with my prospects. So, I'm a huge fan of direct response uh marketing. uh I I like following kind of the old school copywriters and you know people who have created courses and you know things like that. I think that they have some genius tactics for you know uh driving conversion and driving sales. However, what I think they often miss is this second part which is uh keep an elevated brand experience that builds

5:06trust and goodwill with my prospects. So, if you can imagine kind of blending the best of both worlds, the best of direct response uh sales and direct response copy with, you know, the brand experiences and the the design that the top apps and proumer, you know, software products and things like that are using. um you can really find a differentiated way uh to to build funnels that drive conversion that a lot of players in your space are absolutely ignoring. So once I set the frame there uh I ask a bunch of follow-up questions and here's some examples of of follow-up prompts that I use. Number one, how do I close

5:49competitor gaps while improving conversion and trust with my ICP? I think that a lot of people are focused on, you know, short-term wins and short-term sales and, you know, getting a rorowass right away and things like that. But, uh, my perspective is we want to be in the long game. Uh, ultimately, uh, your success is going to depend on, you know, how much your customers and your audience and your community trust you and and value the information that you're providing. uh be the trusted advisor in your niche and make sure that you know your assets and your brand and your copy are respecting your potential customer and not just trying to play on

6:32psychological tactics uh to get them to buy. All right, the next one. What am I missing in my copy that speaks to pain points and leverages principles of influence and buyer psychology? So to find pain points, you might have a workflow that goes and you know looks at conversations happening on Reddit or comments in YouTube or something like that. What are those things that are really, you know, uh raising the hand of your prospect and getting them to consider why your product might be the best solution for them? It all starts with these pain points and uh you really need to leverage those in this funnel,

7:13in your copy, in your assets to get the best results. uh what are principles of influence? So there's a book that I love called influence by Robert Chaldini and he goes through a number of different things that influence why people buy and uh and get them to take the next step. And I'll show you uh how I how I prompt with those in in just a second. Uh, the next one that I may ask is, "How can I better serve my customer in reaching their goals with an offer ladder that improves LTV or lifetime value?" So, I'm not just trying to throw out like offers and

7:53upsells and crossells and things like that that may turn people off. I think ultimately there's a mindset shift here where you want to put yourself in a position where you have the products and services that are better serving uh your customer to help them reach their goals. Now, how can you structure those in the best way? Thinking through these, you know, direct response funnels and things like that that turn cold prospects into warm opportunities. So, you know, you may have a webinar funnel or a video sales letter or you may have a guide or resource that someone downloads. Uh, but how do I structure it in a way that

8:30improves lifetime value with these upsells? Maybe they want more, you know, from me, more education, you know, things like that. Instead of just looking for those short-term like order bumps and and trip wires, think deeply about how you can build a differentiated experience that builds the relationship with the customer. Okay. Uh the next one and this goes back to some of those principles of influence. How can I better structure my funnel to maximize reciprocity while using scarcity, social proof and authority? So reciprocity is the psychological principle where you know if I give you something of value, you feel an innate need or desire to reciprocate and give me of something

9:16value in return. So if I give you something for free uh and you like it and it really adds value to your business or your life, odds are when I am selling you a product, you're way more likely to convert and reciprocate uh that value. So uh again, there's kind of that mindset shift. Let's start with adding value and let's start with adding reciprocity to our prospects, but let's also, you know, implement scarcity and and social proof and authority in this

9:44elevated way that I mentioned before. How can I reduce the time to value? So, I don't want to have a 30-step funnel with 25 different email sequences and things like that. That's very like mid on the mid twit meme, you know? We want to kind of shift over here. So, how can I quickly get people to the most valuable uh pieces of of the customer experience? Let's be direct. Let's be simple. Let's not over complicate things and uh let's make sure people can actually, you know, get to the reason why they're here, which is solving their problem. And let's get them to it quicker uh you know, than than others

10:21are doing. Next, uh, give me a stepbystep plan with low, no code, vibe coding tools, workflow builders to execute these opportunities in the most direct way possible, reducing manual work, reducing manual time. Rank each opportunity by potential impact and effort required to execute. This is a really important thing. Uh, ranking by impact and effort. If you remember, you know, all the growth hackers and the in the days of uh of growth hacking, this was a really important step. So, what you would do is sort of analyze your data, talk to your customers, come up with a bunch of hypotheses for, you know, things that can move the needle,

11:05and then your goal is to find ones that have the highest potential impact, and then the lowest amount of effort. these are the lowhanging fruit strategies and tactics that you can go out there and implement into your marketing to generate ROI quickly. So that's a question that I use to kind of evaluate which ones I can work on, which ones are a good fit for me to go execute, which ones I may need some additional help, you know, from my team or contractors or agencies, whatever it is. Next one, knowing what you know now, how can we drive more qualified traffic into the funnel? So if I have a high converting

11:41funnel, I need to bring people into it in order to actually drive sales. Um, so you know, within these prompts and the information that I've provided, I've already told Manis in my case about my competitors. Uh, there's an understanding of my goals. It's got all of my assets. It's done the gap analysis. Um, so you know, how do we get the right people into here? Uh, talking about the pain points and stuff like that. you can reference back to your top offunnel content or your ads or things of that nature uh to assist uh your LLM and having the right context to answer this question properly. Next one, super

12:18important, often overlooked prompt. What opportunities am I missing? Very simple. Uh you know, just ask it and it's got all this information and all this data. So, um, perhaps, uh, the LLM will be able to highlight some things that, you know, you didn't even think about and other folks aren't even think about, too. So, last thing, and this is an important thing to remember, this is not a one shot. I'm never using LLMs in a way that I expected to come up with the right answer right away. I've talked about this before. Sometimes often I have like two to three different LLMs open at the same time and I'm pinging

12:55ponging back and forth between them to refine to edit to get feedback to get better prompts and ask better questions. So this might be a process of like one to two hours or something like that where I'm really going deep and making sure all these artifacts and all this information is properly loaded up. And this is the type of thing that most

13:16folks aren't doing in their marketing. This is vibe marketing. So, keep going as you work with these LLMs and think of this as a starting point or a launchpad. You're designing experiments. You're getting information 10 times faster than you could before with, you know, the the old school growth hacking days in the past. Um so once you have all this uh remember you have to implement it, you have to test it, you have to collect the data, you have to see if it works, you have to go back and you know do AB testing or whatever and iterate and uh that's how you're going to see a lot of

13:51success from Vibe marketing. This is again to get ideas for tests. It's not just about workflow automation. It's so much more. Good luck and have a great
