0:00Salam Alaikum. 4 years ago, I was a waiter in France making 11 euros an hour. Today, I live in Medina running an online business. Along the way, I've helped over 2,000 Muslims build their own online income. And in this video, I'm going to give you nine brutally honest piece of advice that got me there. The same ones I wish somebody had given me on day one. The first advice I'd actually like to start with is that you don't have to be weird and different if you want to be in business. Only 9% of the population runs a business, which means that 91% of the population just
0:30has a normal job where they go to work in the morning, come back home at night, have an average income, and that's it. If you are more than that, they tell you, "Why you doing all this? Why you working so much? You don't need this. You don't need that." And actually, what they mean is not that you don't need a business, is that they don't feel strong enough to start a business. And instead of the ego being hurt because you're more successful than them, they'd rather you stay down so that you stay around the same level they are and they don't get triggered with their ego. And one of
0:57the easiest ways to achieve skills and grow your skills is by finding a mentor. So, my next advice to you is find somebody that you look up to, that you believe could help you acquire more skills, or that's just more skilled than you in general, and try and spend as much time as you can with them. It might be somebody at work. It might be somebody that you watch online and you want to binge watch as many videos as
1:15you can. That's something I did myself. When I started with my jobs, I tried and hang out as much as I can with the people that were senior, the people that had a better job than me so I could start thinking the way they were thinking. Because if I start thinking the same way they think, I'll probably start making the same money they actually make, right? The big advice here is to put your ego down. You have to humble yourself, realize you don't know anything, and you actually might even need to pay a mentor to learn from them. My third advice is that you have to be okay with your family hating you
1:42for some time for the greater good. What I mean by this is that you need to be okay making sacrifices. You need to be okay knowing that temporarily, because you're taking a different route to give your family a better life, you will need to take steps that go against their thoughts. For example, I wanted to start my own business and my family was not particularly for it. It told me, "You know, you can just have a normal job, have normal income, we'll support you,
2:03we'll help you out, and you'll be fine." I said, "I want more. My job is just capping my income and my potential. I want to do more." And they said, "We don't really want you to do it." So, I was like, "You know what? I respect you. I love you for the sake of Allah, and I will always take on advices that you have for me. With that being said, starting a business has nothing haram into it, and I would like to pursue that. And I rather pursue something that I would be happy with, so that I'll be a happy son, compared to pursue something that you want me to do that I wouldn't
2:29like, and I would be a sad person, and I might even build resentment towards you, even though I don't want to. So, what I would rather do is build love towards you by starting my business." And from that, I spent 6 months building my own business, and alhamdulillah, when it paid off, they actually came back to me and were happy with me starting my own business, and they thanked me for pushing through starting my own business, even though they were not for it. So, even if your family doesn't
2:50support you in the beginning, it's fine. Always show them love, but stick to your plan, and ultimately, they'll thank you for the choice you've made. My next advice is that if you want to make it work, you have to be ready to work for free. Even though that means you might spend time working for someone you could have been paid for it, and you won't get paid for it. But actually, you got paid in another currency. They didn't send you money, they give you skills. And those skills can later on be traded for money. So, let's say you worked for free and you wrote emails for somebody for
3:19free. You wrote 10 emails for them, it took you 10 days, and you didn't get paid a single dollar. You worked 10 hours a day, that's 100 hours for $0. You're like, "This is crazy. It's not It's not worth my time, and this is Listen, from those 10 days, you got feedback from a business owner on how to write emails. From then, you know how to write emails in a way that makes a business owner happy. You can then take that skill that you had from that business owner, go to another business owner, and charge them money to write emails again. And now, you made progress
3:48a lot faster than if you were trying to close a client and get them to pay you if you had no experience. So, you can either get paid in skills, you can get paid in experience, you can get paid in referrals, which means they will recommend you someone that could actually pay you for your services. And all those are ways to get paid without receiving currency. Most people have horrible spending habits. And if you currently don't have any money in your bank account or probably less than $5,000 saved in your bank account, you probably did something wrong with your economics. You can probably track the expenses you had over the past year and
4:18figure out where you spent money that was useless. Maybe you bought something that was expensive that you didn't have to. Maybe had a trip that was not necessary. Maybe you had an extra dinner that you thought you deserved even though you didn't. I'm not saying don't enjoy your life, but I'm saying you need to learn how to manage money because exactly like I mentioned earlier, the importance of having skills and getting a mentor, having money allows you to get more skills and pay better mentors. You can actually pay your way to learning skills. That's something I've done myself throughout my entire journey. I mentioned it multiple times. I started
4:46by buying a cheap course that I literally had to split with a friend because of how broke I was. Yet, I still paid for education. Just like you guys pay for university. It's just that now in 2026 onwards, the education system is changing where people are going from traditional education, which is just university and school, to alternative education, which is online education, mentorship, business courses, and so forth. And if you can't afford them, figure out a way to afford them because they will help you fast track your progress. Most people would actually think they deserve entertainment, they deserve to chill and have enjoyment if they made no money. And that's a huge
5:19limiting belief. If you want to headline or hear and you can come at me in the comments if you want to. I'm just saying this out of care for you. If you have less than $10,000 in your bank account, you do not deserve to just chill and lay around have some free time because you could do so much more for your family, for your lineage by putting your time, effort, and money into starting a business, achieve way more success than you currently have. Instead of doing that, you're spending your time enjoying yourself. Real quick, if you're Muslim working in IT, finance, accounting, although you have a great paying job,
5:48you might even be a manager in your company, and you feel like you could just do so much more. Even though you make great money, you might even make six figures a year, you feel trapped. Always daily meetings, speaking with non-Muslim workers that you don't enjoy spending time with, and overall, your income is great, but it's tied to a physical location. You can't even move to a Muslim country if you wanted to. If that sounds like you, and you're looking for a solution, we can help you. We've helped over a thousand Muslims start halal business, some of which now make over 10K a month by themselves, with no
6:16boss, and now live in a Muslim country. We have students who completely replace their income with a remote income, where they get to spend more time with their families, and they don't feel trapped and constrained anymore from their job. If that sounds like you, and you're interested in starting your own halal business, I'm hosting a free masterclass this Sunday 7:00 p.m. UK time, where I'm breaking down exactly how I make over 20K a month with the I MA, and how my students also use the same business model to make money remotely, travel the world, and finally have freedom. It's completely free. You can register using the link below this video, and I'll see
6:45you live on Sunday, inshallah. As-salamu alaykum. My next advice is always remember yawm al-qiyamah whenever you engage in business. You might do a transaction that disappoints Allah subhana wa ta'ala. It might make you feel great because your bank account would go up, but ultimately you'll displease the Lord of the world, and your life would literally crumble in front of your eyes. You'll be in the worst place you've ever been. You might have money in your account, but I guarantee you you would genuinely hate your life. Never ever compromise your deen, even if it's 0.1% Even if it's
7:15just they want to have background music. Even if it's just, yeah, but it's a woman on the video, but we can we don't really see it. Don't. Never even come close to compromising your deen for money, because that will ruin all the barakah you could have got. So, never compromise your deen for money, you will end up being a loser. Next advice, your prayer will dictate your success. If you want to be a successful Muslim entrepreneur, you You to schedule your day around your prayers. Your prayers have to be prayed on time. Literally when the Imam makes the Iqamah, he says,
7:47"Hayya 'ala s-salat, hayya 'ala l-falah. Come to prayer, come to success." And this is Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala who tells you, "Come worship me, I will give you success." And somehow, you're going to think you should have a meeting and pray later. Somehow, you think you should delay your prayers. You're actively saying, "I'm going to deny the call to success from Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala and think I'll just work on my own and figure it out by myself." It doesn't make any sense. So, big priority you need to have, and that can actually make you feel better about your journey so far, is that if you always focus on
8:17your deen, if you always focus on your prayer first before looking into business, you'll be working on a safe path. As sad as it may sound, is that business is hard. You have to work, fail, get up, work again, fail, get up, work again, get your family to tell you that you're a failure, get everybody around you that tell you that everything you're doing doesn't make sense, and guess what? Then you fail again. And after that, you get up and you keep doing it a few more times and then you make it work. And when you make it work, you don't make a million
8:44dollars. You don't make a hundred grand. You don't make ten grand. You might make a hundred dollars. And they all point fingers at you again and say, "Hey, look, you put all that effort in for such a little amount of money." And guess what you do then? You get up again and you work. And after that, you fail again. And you fail again. Then you get up and for the first time you make a thousand dollars. And they're all like, "Oh, this guy might actually make it work." And guess what? Then you don't fail anymore because you managed to understand what failures look like and what success look like. And now you have
9:10pattern recognition. You know what good looks like. You know what to focus on in order to make money. And then you start making five thousand dollars, ten thousand dollars, a hundred thousand dollars. And then they call you overnight success. Oh, the guy who out of nowhere made it work. It's because you kept pushing through all the failures. You got up every time and then you ultimately made it work. I spent three years trying to make money online before making my first dollar. And after that, in the next three years, I made
9:33over seven figures with my business. Allah blessed it. So, the curve is absolutely Everybody sees the overnight success, but it's from the seeds that I had planted in my first 3 years. So, if you're looking to buy a shortcut or to just use some template that you heard online that magically would help you get rich quick, it does not work. Of course, you can pay education, you can have my mentorships, you can fast-forward your progress. It doesn't mean you're getting rich overnight. You cannot cheat the game. It is hard. You have to push through. You'll fail. People will mock
9:59you, and you have to be fine with it. And from that, you'll get to be extraordinary and enjoy having a great life thanks to your business. My next advice is never be arrogant. There might be a charity that you feel like is small, can help someone. You feel like, "Nah, it doesn't matter. You know, they can figure it out by themselves." That That behavior right there is what will lead you to destruction. You should always humble yourself, always spend as much time as needed with people that need time from you, regardless of your success. There's literally amazing stories from the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam where he was the Prophet
10:27Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, who was the leader of the Ummah. Yeah, if a young girl would come to him and hold him by his hand and tell him somewhere, he would go with her and not even question why she needed him. Subhanallah. The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, how busy he was, yet was still giving people time. So, if you're in a situation where you feel like you're someone somehow, and you start being arrogant, you start not You start neglecting people, you start not giving them your attention,
10:52you will lead yourself to destruction. Humble yourself just like the time when you did not have money and you were humble because you couldn't be arrogant. Now that you have money, don't go back and behave like you're arrogant because you're proving to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala that he gave you money and that turned you into a bad person. And he might take it away from you. Instead, show to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala that you can handle it by staying a good person, being humble, and Bismillah Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala will bless you even more because he knows that you can handle it. And with that being said, if
11:21now you have a great mindset, you're motivated about starting a business, you're drawn, and you're still confused about what steps should I take, I made a video explaining exactly the best halal business that still works in 2026 for Muslims, and you can watch it right here and start your own business. I'll see you there. Assalamualaikum.
