0:00A new tool went viral for cloning voices within seconds. A dad used Claude to create a button that lets his kids talk with their grandparents. There's a new way to use AI to create a video podcast for you. And someone launched an amazing new way for you to create agents and talk with them for free. All that and so much more coming up. Presented by Zapier, the AI automation company. All right, first big story everyone's talking about is Fish Audio. Corey, what
0:26is this? So, this is the first real competitor to ElevenLabs that we've seen. It is a company that just raised They just raised a $52 million seed round. It can clone your voice with just a 5-second audio sample, which is absolutely insane. People are saying it sounds better than ElevenLabs. I From what I understand, it's cheaper than ElevenLabs. They even say right here in the announcement, "If you're a business and we can't cut your voice AI cost by 50%, we'll give you 1 year of Fish Audio for free." [laughter] They did a huge influencer push around this launch, and
0:55it made a ton of noise. Yeah. I'm in this launch video, 5.6 million views. This is huge when it comes to voice AI, in my opinion. My research shows that 15 million characters would cost 15 bucks with them versus anywhere from 60 to 165 with ElevenLabs, and it does sound good. I played with it. I created an account. This is just from their home page, though. I recorded this little bit, and I'll let you hear and tell me if you think this sounds like my voice. And
1:20watch the clouds drift across the sky. The way the light shifts and dances through the leaves is so soothing. It reminds me to appreciate the small, beautiful things that usually pass What do you think? I think it sounds exactly like you. It's just very monotone, right? I think the average person might get a little spooked if they heard that because they're like, "Well, Andrew's usually very animated. That doesn't sound animated." So, if there's a way to make it more lively, then I I think it's Nobody's going to be able to
1:50tell. So, I should say that this is just me reading this intro, and then as soon as I went to save it to my library, this got deleted, and it had me record a proper set of emotional audio, and then it used that to create my my my voice. Oh, it just for some reason it's not saving it. Um but it did have me create multiple [clears throat] multiple recordings so that I could do this. I don't know why it lost what Maybe I didn't hit save properly. But yes, it will do it more. Let's move on to the next story. This is from just a
2:22guy named Dan. He used Fable to create something and you shared this with me. Talk about this. This is exciting to me. Yeah, so this is literally a box that lives in his kids' bedroom. And uh scroll up a little bit. The idea is it's just somewhere that um you know, it'll queue their notifications until they come back, right? So, it's a way to kind of keep the phone keep the devices out of the hands of their kids. And it's [snorts] two-way. So, it he built it so that they could communicate with their
2:46grandparents. Mhm. And you know, it's like when they hear the notification, kids can run to their room, hear the message from their grandparents. Grandparents get the notification that like, "Hey, kids listen to the the message." So, it's a way for like kids and grandparents or you know, kids and parents really anybody to communicate in a way that um allows it's it's basically an asynchronous communication tool between your loved ones
3:10Really great tool. At my kids' school, people are talking about Tin Can as a way It's an app that lets you your kids talk with your parents in a safe way. I can see this being a much better, faster, cooler thing. But mostly, this is with this jives with your vision of highlighting creators who are actually creating things with Fable that are exciting. And he did this so well that now people are asking for it, and so he's got a sign-up page for people to get it. All right, next story. I missed this one. Uh you talked about Chris. What's Chris showing
3:38here? Yeah, so Chris has some really good content around like kind of his niche where he's crushing it is he will use AI agents and pair it with a use case around either lead gen or making money for local businesses. So in this case he used Kimmy K3 to find local businesses that don't have websites, mock up a brand new like very good looking website for them, and then generate an AI avatar and have that avatar record a loom style video walking through the website and how it's better than their current one. So he's basically saying like look, I built this whole agentic workflow using Kimmy
4:16and he's giving away the workflow as part of this tweet. But I'm right now I'm doing a like a building an AI agency from scratch series. I'm using hyperagent for that. But this what Chris is showing us here is the same concept. Like honestly he took it a step further by including the loom video. With my workflow I'm just using hyperagent to build the website and then texting it to the business owner. Bottom line this is like lead gen on steroids. None of this
4:41was possible even like six months ago. We'll have a link of course so people can subscribe to your channel and see it but I get it now. This is a page that is like a better page than the this is a landscaping company. It's so good. This is what looks like a loom but it's actually created with AI. I got it and so when somebody gets this it looks like it looks like a web developer improved their site and it looks personal. I get it it's really cool and because he's using Kimmy it's
5:10cheap and wow. All right I like that. Let's look at the next one. This is [clears throat] from HeyGen. They now will take text and images of people and turn it into a podcast a video podcast. This is what it looks like on their site. AI podcasts are going to replace human ones. Calling it now. Hard disagree. People listen for people. The voice the
5:29laugh. Now that to me sounds unnatural here. Hot takes. Right. But what if AI was the person? Not generic AI slop trained It does look really hot. I love the light behind him. I love how the the the framing is. Look like you You like you feel like that's impossible. You sure? Wait, are we [laughter] Uh that's really good. Like I like that angle. What's interesting about that video is I feel like the the video looks
5:57more realistic than the voice, right? Like if anything they [clears throat] they should use fish audio as the voice and keep the video as is. But yeah, overall I mean very It's like this space is changing so fast. I think HeyGen's kind of at the frontier of generative AI around video. It's clear that this has come such a long way. Maybe the average person can't tell the difference. I think you and I could cuz we're in the weeds of this stuff all day, but most people aren't. So maybe that's their goal is like can we get the general population to
6:26um tune into this if it's AI generated. Well, let me ask you this. Maybe some people don't care that it's AI generated because reading long documents is a chore, keeping up with certain news is a chore, and for certain topics there just isn't a big enough audience for two people like you and me to sit and record something. And so if you say, "I'm going to create the Austin, Texas tech community podcast about what's going on here and what people are doing here." And you tell
6:56them, "Look, I'm using AI to do it." Maybe the audience doesn't care that much and they will just tune in because that's what they want. They want to know what's going on here. Or let me say this, your if your kids go to a school like Waldorf or Acton or one of these communities where there is more of a of a I don't know a mission than just the school and you want to know what's going on in the school, you want to know what's going on in the overall greater community, you may not care that this is AI generated and it could take off. This
7:22seems like a a business worth pursuing. What do you think? You make such a good point. I heard a podcast. This was probably 6 months ago at this point of a It's a podcast startup that's doing exactly what you said. They're basically saying the long tail of topics that you can make podcasts on, there's such a long tail. There's topics out there that only 100 people in the world are going to tune into. Because of that, no two humans are going to create a podcast around that. There's no ROI. But this podcast startup exists to create podcasts on those long-tail topics so that, you know, underwater Japanese
7:56basket weaving, it has a market of a hundred people, they can still tune into a podcast about that. They don't care that it's AI generated, they care that this is the only place they can get content around that topic. I want to either to be entertained or I want to learn about it and I don't really care
8:10where that's coming from. And a single voice is too boring. I need the friendliness of a of a pair of people. I had it take the original ideas for what we were going to talk about today and create a video podcast. Here's what that would look like. So, what's on the show this week? It feels like the AI world just exploded
8:27again. I don't like her voice. Opus 5 hitting the scene with Frontier Intelligence at half the price. It already has over 20 million views on the launch post. That's a massive headline, but is that all we're looking at today? Not even close. Fish audio can clone your voice from just 5 seconds of audio and Grok is now building entire apps
8:47from a single prompt. The speak All right. [laughter] I think they both look fake and I think they both sound fake, personally. I agree. I don't think that this experience is as good and I had it created from scratch and it just kept hanging. I it's a sign of what's to come if anyone's willing to put up with the early days of this. I think that there's a bigger upside long-term. Let's see
9:07what's next. This is Ben Open SEO. People are super excited about this. It's done I think it was the number one story on Product Hunt the day they launched. It's big on GitHub. Can you explain why people care about this? Yeah, and I think the main reason is that like Ahrefs and SEMrush have had basically a monopoly over the SEO data
9:28world for I mean, as long as I've known. And those are they're expensive tools. I think they like their standard plans start around like 200, 250 bucks a month. There hasn't really been a good viable open source alternative and it seems like Open SEO is that. So, I think for the people that I mean I don't think this is going to be like as powerful as
9:47an Ahref Ahrefs or Semrush. Mhm. But if you want to get like 80% of the power for free, then this is probably going to get the job done or a really good like entry-level tool if you're getting into the SEO world versus going straight to a paid Ahrefs or Semrush subscription is what it seems like. Yeah. Um I want to talk to the founder and understand how it works. You can even get it for free from GitHub. Um but you do still have to pay for data. It's not much. It's like $6 per data a month or you pay them $10. They'll host it for you. Um all right, let's go to the next
10:20one. I'm This is my favorite thing of the week. It is Buzz. It I'm actually going to play my own intro to the interview with the guy who went viral talking about it and here it is about like 15, 20 seconds. Is there a better way to create agents than Hermes agents and Open Claw agents? Well, it seems like the creator of
10:37Twitter and Square has just created it. It's called Buzz and it not only allows you to create agents, it allows you to bring your Hermes and Open Claw agents in. It allows you to chat with whatever agent you use. It allows you to bring your teammates in to chat with your agents. And by the way, like in Slack, you can talk with other humans in it, too. Oh, and seems like Claude is allowing you to use your subscription so you don't have to pay extra for it. Anyway, I couldn't believe that, by the way. So, you can create an agent with it, connect your Claude subscription to it, and
11:08continue to work with it. Vinnie, who I did this interview with, who showed it off, could we kept thinking that he was going to get cut off midway through the interview, but it was effective and he was able to use it. It's amazing. So, this is the only harness that I'm aware of where you can use your Anthropic subscription to power
11:26An agent. models within the harness. Yeah, exactly. So, and this is like this is absolutely blown up. I mean, this is only This is less than 7 days old and I feel like we're kind of already on the tail end of the hype around it, but everybody's talking about it. It seems to be the first like true multiplayer AI agentic experience that has actually gotten adoption. You know, there some people are saying like, "Oh, it's the Slack killer. Like it's combining Slack with Discord with Hermes, but you know, with agentic capabilities all in one." And so, we'll kind of see like the jury's out whether or not it actually
11:59sticks or if this is just another hype cycle, but people that I see out there that I trust that are legitimate seem to be really bullish on it and Jack Dorsey obviously is not dumb by any means. [snorts] So, I think this has legs. I I think it'll be interesting to see where this falls over the next couple of months and what other competitors come out of the woodwork to create those like
12:21multiplayer agentic experiences. So good. And by the way, since we're talking about that, I should also say my sponsor is Zapier and if you're using an agent like this, you really need to protect your data. I give my agents access to email, to calendars, to Notion docs. People are shocked by how much I give them, but that's the only way that I can get stuff done. At the same time, I protect myself by using Zapier MCP, which gives me access to over 8,000 diff- actually, it's over 9,000 apps right now. And with each one, I could just go in and hit the checkboxes and say, "I want to give it
12:51access to that, but not to that power." The big one I always say is, "I don't give my agents access to my to send email from my email, but they can read, and they can uh they can draft messages." Anyway, Zapier MCP, you can try it out for free right now by going to zapier.com/mcp.
13:07Next, OpenShip. What is OpenShip? So, this is pretty much an open-source cold email infrastructure platform. So, their whole pitch is like, "Hey, if you were to send 80,000 cold emails over the course of a week, you'd pay $100 for Postmark, $90 for SendGrid, $80 for Resend, $80 for Mailgun, but with Open Ship, the cost would be $0. There it's essentially the cold email infrastructure that you deploy on a $5
13:34VPS. Unlimited domains, unlimited inboxes, no per email charges, no vendor lock-in, and they even say it comes with a one-click setup. And if you read the comments, everybody's like, "Oh, this is too good to be true. It's going to kill your deliverability." You know, there's no way that you can offer what used to cost hundreds of dollars per month
13:52completely free. The people that started Open Ship claim like, "Hey, we've been doing this for a few months and we've had great deliverability and great results and we're making money from it." So, I think if you do any sort of cold email, it's definitely worth a try because if you do cold email, you're probably paying hundreds of dollars a month in subscriptions. This is at least worth a
14:11try. A lot of my friends have seen how expensive it is to send out email and mass email and decided that they're going to use um they're going to use Claude code or any of these other tools to build their own. And it is kind of a hairy project to take on. I love that somebody's done this and it's available for free. We'll link to that and everything else below including to Corey's channel and and to Corey. And here's what I want to know from everyone. I'm going to put my email below. Hit Hit that email and tell me what you'd like us to include here. How
14:42you'd like us to adjust it. And if you've made anything, we would really, really like to feature you. I've said this on one of my other shows and people started telling me what they made. I want more of our viewers here to send us what they made so that Corey and I can show it. And if you like these, we've got a list of other
14:58apps that I think you're going to love. Let's see it.
