0:00We built stuff with Claude code, with Kodak, etc. And the problem that we're going to have is how do we get anyone to use it? Well, today joining me is Mird from Claude Code Marketplaces. He is going to show us the top five skills on his marketplace for anyone who wants to use AI to market our products. Presented
0:17by Zapier, the AI automation company. Starting with AI SEO. What does this do? Help answer engines to uh site our website. For example, it helps us create an LMS TXT and LMS full TXT. It's also going to help us add statistics and site sources to our content, which according to what is it? Uh Princeton research, it boosts visibility by 30 to 40%. It tells us um if we're blocking AI crawlers in our
0:46robot.txt and and all this other stuff. If you really want an exact like uh description of the instructions, there is always a skill MD rendered on the page of the skill. So, you can see all the steps, all the things that it takes care of. All right, let's see how it works. Installation is via this command, but since I already installed it, uh I will just run it
1:14in my Claude code. Okay. And for example, we can say like uh optimize the SEO of my site claudemarketplaces.com for AI answer engines. Since this will probably pick up the skill and run it, I don't leave it to luck because sometimes it doesn't pick it up. I always initialize it with this. But this guarantees that this
1:52skill will be called. Okay. So, you're doing {slash} AI uh {dash} SEO. you're intentionally invoking it. Let's see what happens. Hit it. All right. And then we wait. This is where I'm always like tempted to either go on Twitter or to pick up the guitar and instead I I waste time, but it's working. And I want to I want to open a new tab and show you my effort and model
2:17preferences. Mhm. For model, I'm using Opus 4.7 1 million contacts. Okay. And for effort uh I'm either using X high or max for these kind of tasks because uh you don't need like fast response, but you need better quality. Yep. Uh-huh. And I've already did the site. Foundation is strong. robots.txt allows all AI. Okay, it continues. What should we be looking
2:46at here? So, uh it'll kind of interview with you. Let's Let's read what it's uh I'll do it. Tier number one. Highest ROI, ship today in 1 to 2 hours. Number one, {slash} pricing.md for AI agents. You have an advertised page with real prices. Um add a machine-readable {slash} pricing.md, so AI agents comparing where to advertise to Claude code devs. Oh, that makes sense. Base
3:14Uh-huh. That makes a lot of sense, which I like didn't even think about it myself before. Mhm. Uh but I didn't know that like there they were ranking based on having a pricing MD. I I thought like advertise is enough, but This is something by the way that Wade from Zapier's told me that agents really like to read markdown files. They don't need the pretty. They don't need the buttons. They don't need any of the design. And so, what it's saying is, "Hey, if you want to show up, have a pricing page. It's really easy for agents to read." Let's look at the second one. How to schema on scale
3:44{slash} plugin {slash} MCP detail pages. Every detail page has an install command. Wrap in how to structure data. So, how to install X for Claude code queries can extract step-by-step from you. Can you explain that? Yeah, because I think that's because people are at like the way people are talking to chat GPT, Claude, or like Gemini is like mostly question-based and like specific questions. If I'm a credible source and I have I have those like um guides on my site, it'll be a more
4:19trusted source. Okay. All right, I'm going to read one other one from this tier one. It's also saying, "Hey, last updated." You're already updating your page on a regular basis. Recency is very heavily weighted in Perplexity and AI overviews. Make it more visible. Show that you're that you're refreshing the page frequently. Am I understanding that one right? Yes. So
4:40Again, this seems like an easy solution. I like how tier one is easy. I'm just going to do a quick read of tier number two. Uh structure rewrites. This is going to take you half a day for each one of them. So, for example, comparison {slash} definition pages, skills versus plugins versus marketplace, or MCP versus skill, etc. It wants you to create these types of pages. I actually don't know why each why that would take you half a day. Isn't that the kind of thing that you can really just give to the copywriting skill? What do you
5:07think? Claude does this all the time. It kind of like says it would be taking you like a half a day if you would be doing it yourself manually. It kind of flexes on you, you know? Because that happens all of it and I was when I'm coding with it as well. Like it was saying, "Hey, this is like this is going to take like two two to three days, blah blah." And [snorts] when I Yeah, when I start implementing it, it just takes an hour, you know? So, uh the those are not completely not accurate at all. Like just divide it by
5:36I don't know, 20, you know? All right, number three. What Now we're talking off-site presence. This is a lot slower. Wikipedia mention, uh Reddit, show up at {slash} uh I mean r/claudia, etc. And they're looking for you to write authentic answers. And then it's got its recommendation. Okay, excellent. Let's take a look at that last line. Want me to implement here number one? I'll do the work for you via the implement so your main tree
6:01stays clean. That tell me about that. So, that's my custom skill as well. It's not published anywhere yet, but I will be publishing those soon. Implement is a skill that I use to do work in parallel that like uses Git work trees. In the description, I'll have a link to download a report with all the links to everything we've talked about. Can we make that available to anyone who who asks for the report, your implement
6:27skill? Yeah, of course. Okay, excellent. Great. In the meanwhile, time I can show you how implement works. As you can see, this is the main branch. Mhm. And this is the work trunk branch that we created for AI SEO. So, for AI SEO to tier one, it created a new work tree and doing all those changes here. Oh, so then it Oh, sorry, go ahead. And then once it does that, then what does
6:54it do? Once it's done, it'll just run it for me to test. So, and it will not interfere with any other changes here or any other changes that like I see. So, it's basically kind of sandboxing this new thing that you're building and then when you're ready to implement it, it's ready to be added
7:13without screwing up the the main site. Got it. Yes, like I will be able to test this on like localhost 3000 and when the when the other when the like this jobs pages happening, I will be able to test that on 3001, like different branches, same app, different features. Got it. Separately tested, isolated.
7:33I see the value of that. Yes. Do we have it finished? Since it's we're using X high, uh it will take a little longer.
7:53What is it doing right now? It's testing. Oh, cool. It is testing its its its its own work. And it's live here. Okay, it added like updated here. And more like this thing. So, what we're looking at right now is AI SEO The AI SEO has actually gone in and done the things that you said it would or that it told you to do, like having the updated time. What else did it add to
8:20it? The llm.txt page. Yeah, that one. Definitely updated it. It was all updates. Cool. Nice. It also like listed all my categories. Mhm. That's nice. And I will check one more thing. It's llms full. Nice. It has this as well. So, those three two things are the like most important stuff for AI SEO. Okay, verified life pricing
9:00md as well. Oh, so it also created a pricing md page. Yeah, let's see. Is it like this? Yes. It did it. Okay. Yes. Cool. And it's all up to date. It's correct. [laughter] Nice. And what else did it do? How to rendered as step. Okay, let's check that out. Skills. I don't understand how did it do it. Is it like uh
9:37rendered as step. Oh, okay. It just changed the render the way it's rendered. Let's check it out on the PR. We will see. We will see it there. Here. Cool. So, what it did is this. What is that? So, it actually inserted a structured data as a how-to schema type, you know? Mhm. This is invisible to us, but it's
10:09visible to crawlers. Okay. So, you see I have these step one and step two here. It was just Now, it like uh translated it to crawler language, which is like open schema, yeah. That, too. These are all good. And it did it for all the three pages. And homepage comes with that, too. Nice.
10:36Tier one, all done. To be honest. Okay, let's go with tier two, then. Like that. [laughter] Let's go on to the next skill, okay? Yeah, of course. one is front-end design. This one's from Anthropic. It's listed on your site, too. What is front-end design? Why do you like it? And we're going to use it and see a before and after of it. What
10:58is it? People were just giving the same prompts, and everyone was getting the same output. So, this front-end design skill is actually teaching the agent the fundamentals of designing towards, you know, your uh unique use case, because otherwise, it was just doing purple gradient generic AI slop stuff. So, this is the skill that Anthropic
11:27team created that solves that problem. For example, CloudMarketplaces itself is created with this front-end design skill. And then, by the way, like uh anyone can go back and see the first version, like just check out to the like uh commits from 5 months ago and see how it looked without the front-end design. It was not
11:51good, trust me. So, let's take a look. Yes. So, let's implement a job page, jobs page for marketplaces.com. Okay. The advert We have a tier for it in advertised page, but no real page to list jobs yet. Let's have one. Okay. Let's see this. I hope it won't pick up the skill because since I've been working with the skill for a while, it might go and pick up the skill by default. We will see if it will or not. If it will pick it up, I will do another run without like by making sure that it won't pick
12:49it up. Okay. So, it will it will need to go and do the stuff. Now, let's take a look at the jobs. Okay. Jobs was here as well. Cool. I didn't expect that. Good. Yeah, so far this looks good. You know what? It probably used the front-end dev skill. Front-end Yeah, front-end design skill.
13:16Any skills? Let's see. No. [snorts] Ow. What? But it's still using the same design that you had on the site. It's not like it's creating a brand new one. How about this? I think maybe a better test is to take a page that's not really well designed and have it clean it up. What do you think?
13:41Yeah, better. Any examples you have? Why don't you take the the old time example? Have it Have it redo craigslist.org or austin.craigslist.org. Mhm. austin.craigslist .org
14:04Yeah. Cool. Let's give it that and see what it does with it to improve it. Okay. Let's improve by creating a copy of it. in my local Use front end design.
14:33Okay, that should be enough. Actually, end the drawing it so I can
14:49Cool. [snorts]
14:56Oh my god. That's the That's the Craigslist. Oh, that's how Craigslist would look with like a more modern design. All right. Oh, wow. Wow. Look at that. All right, truthfully, I think these days I would probably use another tool for this. One that lets me do more granular edits. Maybe even Claude design is probably best for something like
15:22this. Oh. Let me demonstrate to you something. Like, tell me what did you you didn't like. Um I don't like how wide it is. I think that one of the benefits of Craigslist is that it is so dense. We can tell We can tell it to do it, you know. Uh I like the way how o- o- OG site is more dense, so I can process more info
15:55at a glance, right? Uh-huh. Yeah. Only thing I want to keep here is that. [snorts] So, redo. Uh you can like steer it to wherever you want, you know. This is the design of Craigslist. Okay. With a dense version. You like it? I kind of like it. I don't love it for the the color background. I find the Claude loves their own color so much that they want to just spread it all
16:33over the internet. So, I would probably give it a little more design direction, but I do like how it took my feedback into account and it created something that that looks good and is simple. I would give it a little bit more feedback and maybe some uh some of our design choices ahead of time. All right, but I like it. I like what it did. So, competitor
16:54alternatives is number three. What is this? Search engines love these comparison pages. So, it goes and finds your similar services like you and like writes uh comparison page. So, basically what we're looking at is a tool that will create pages that compares your business to other businesses that are similar so that so that AI understands it. All right, competitor alternatives for cloud
17:24marketplaces.
17:31Okay. I actually ran it. So, I had extra information. It would probably ask for some questions to me, but since I already have like some context on my wiki, it didn't bother asking me because it already has some stuff based on it. Uh So, yeah. See, it found Yeah, it found the best alternatives, by the way. versus Playbooks, Cursor Directory, and
18:05Skills.sh. Perfect. Like those are direct competitors. Mhm. Um That's cool. So, it's like hm it gives me three angles. And directory versus directory, skill versus skill, and advertiser funnel. I think I would stick with C. Yeah, and that's what it recommends as well. Yeah. Uh-huh. Because other ones, they don't advertise. Like Playbooks advertise, but it's pretty much a dead site. Like they don't get any traffic at all. Skills.sh, they don't advertise. It's just a It's
18:43just a site. basically, what you're looking at is it's saying to you, "Why don't you create a page for somebody who's considering advertising with you and might consider Google Ads?" So, show what advertising here is like versus Google Ads. Advertising here versus Meta Ads. Okay, got it. So, you just tell it to go and it'll build these pages for
19:00you. Yes. Excellent. See.
19:14Can we see the finished product on that? Did it create the pages? Yeah, it did. [snorts] Oh, interesting. Drafts. So, it's here probably. Mhm. Drafts. Mhm. Where? CMP advertise comparison. Here. I'm going to do the same layout.
19:41Cool. Cool. Cool. Versus Trust MRR. This is a hot right now, right? Ah. So, they offer advertisements as well. And we have like similar monthly visitors. Actually, I'm about to catch up and pass as well. Uh but yeah, they offer like 20 advertisers to any advertisers like 1,500 a month. And versus me six advertisers like 1,100
20:11a month. And like this is my audience. This is their audience. Okay. Since you asked, I have like different tiers. They have just one tier. Uh I have public live dashboard. It's dashboard for just advertise like they don't have a public dashboard. it create all these as markdown files so that they're easy for agents to read or
20:30HTML files that look good on your site? It created markdown. Okay. Actually, [snorts] the uh uh So, step two is actually the next JS pages. So, So, for the first step, So, you'll have Let's not do it now. I think we got the big picture here. It went through everything with you and then it said it had you on it had you tell it what you want compared. It then went out and it built it. It built it in markdown files that you can take a look at. Next is creating it as beautiful pages on
21:00your site. Yeah. I get it. Let's look at domain research, okay? So, let's suppose that you and I needed to come up with a new domain for our business. I'm going to come up with a business by going to your sponsor idea browser. Yeah. If I go there to their database of business ideas, the top idea right now is a senior ride service, basically like for Uber for seniors that keeps families in the loop. So, if I send my my mom to go get groceries or something like that, and I want to know where she is, this would let me do that. So, why don't There it is. Yeah, exactly. So, why
21:37don't we give that idea Yes. I copied it. And now what we need is a domain for it. I'll just paste it and press like nothing else. Just the skill content.
22:08Okay. It already suggests like three directions and also recommend something. Right here for mom.com. Yeah. Or rides for mom. I see. Rides for mom. Family ridehub.com. So, does that mean I like familyridehub.com? seniors? What do you like? Ride for seniors? I like that, too. Yeah. Um the reason I like familyridehub is it gives us the opportunity to go into kids later if we want to. They both need the same kind of protection and and
22:39monitoring, but okay. So, now are these domains available? Is it checking? just These are just patterns. Okay. it will check after we choose the direction. Okay, I see. And now once we choose a direction, it's going to go through a pipeline of trends Ahrefs, then availability of domain, and then put together short list.
23:02Yes. Okay. So, which one do you want? A plus suggests like let's stick with his suggestion. Let's go with the suggestion. Okay, sure. Okay. So, A plus C meaning senior transportation and ride tracker. Those are the two and then now it's going to start working on those. Yeah.
23:42What's it using to control your browser? It's agent browser, a library from Vercel. Already has a skill. So, it can like do anything that you can do, almost anything that you can do on a browser. It can open pages, read, and click through stuff. And uh you know. And it's searching Google Trends as well. See, senior transportation, rides
24:08for seniors. It'll uh getting all the trend data. And it will like give us some numbers. Give us some direction on like which one that makes sense. [music]
24:39See, it's checking domains from terminal. Okay. ridesforparents.com, seniorridehub, seniorridetracker.com. I like it all. I think my favorite is senior Oh, I don't like the two Rs. Ride for parents. [snorts] Or no, I don't like the two Rs. I'd probably go back and forth with it a little bit because I don't love the two Rs side by side. I also don't think that Oh,
25:11familyridehub.com. familyridehub Okay. Bottom line, I see how it works. It's really we don't have to go any more into this. I see how it works. I like that it's thinking through all these different angles before picks a name. It's not just what feels right to Andrew. It's a real analysis of the marketplace and the names. Did you build
25:30this? Yes. Is it on your site right now? Uh not yet. Oh, can we give this to people also? Yeah. Yeah, of course. All right. Let's move on to the final one, which is the skill builder. It's the most popular skill creator. This is from Entropic. Mhm. Uh So, I'm using their skill to create skills instead of like
25:51doing it from scratch myself. Do you want to show how you've created a skill before? Let's me tell you the how the how how's the story of this domain research uh happened. Where is it? [snorts] So, I was like uh brainstorming. I was like uh doing all the stuff. I I asked it to hey, is the best way to check domains is like just Cloudflare? I'm doing like I'm doing it manually. I'm checking Cloudflare domains by myself. I'm checking GoDaddy by myself. Is there any other like way that Can you check it for me? Said, yes, I can check it. There's this terminal uh tool that we can use it
26:26for. Who is And uh I said, cool. Like check it. And then uh I said, hey, like I was uh looking into some like ancient words to you know, because I love that kind of brands. Uh-huh. I said, hey, I want some like ancient words that I want to use blah blah. And it said, here are these words and this is your product. Like you can use these domains etc. like And it started to build, you know, it started to check like I mean since I'm using 1 million contacts, it's being a big it was a like long chat that I had almost everything I needed
27:02happened in that chat and I made a decision to buy a domain after the end of session. And the end of session, I just ran skill creator and I said uh like analyze this chat and create a skill for me uh you know for me to make this process um reusable. That was my prompt, literally. I didn't even name the skill method. The even the skill creator named the skill. So, domain research is the name that Claude
27:40made like gave it. I didn't do it. So, it did that and I tested the skill right away and I realized I don't like like not I don't like, I like but I strategically I cannot afford building a brand from a word that nobody knows what what means, you know. Ancient words, I cannot use it. So, I steered it towards my own strategy. So, I used my wiki knowledge and it knows that I'm like trying to do bootstrapped products and my only way of like promoting them is just SEO. Like I don't have a huge social reach or
28:20anything. So, we decided to stick with um those those kind of domains and you saw you see like how each of them are like exactly following that rule. Yeah. So, yeah, that's how Very got it. Yeah. Okay. So, I do this too. Basically, at the end of a process, you say analyze how we worked, see what the results are,
28:44and now create a skill that does it. Then what I do is I come back and pretend that I'm sitting fresh with this skill and I say, "Create this new process for me. Only use this skill." I look for where the mistakes are and then I say, "Now fix the skill." And then I have a skill that feels, usually after one iteration, that feels good enough for me to start the next the next time that I use this with that skill instead
29:05of starting from scratch. Yes, exactly. All right. I think we nailed it then. Here's what we got. We went over AI SEO. We talked about it and we actually showed how it worked. Front-end design, we talked about how Craigslist can look better if it uses front-end design or at least how you can take your own site to make them look better. Uh we talked about competitor alternatives, how it didn't just analyze the kinds of pages that we should create. It gave It It worked with us to come up with the strategy and then it implemented it. We talked about domain research, which is a skill that
29:36you created and it picked us uh some domains. And finally, we went over the skill builder, which is something that you use at the end of everything that you work on. Uh so that you have a new way to do this again in the future with that doesn't mean starting from scratch. Excellent. Of course, we're going to have a report below for anyone who wants to get this. We'll even give you access
29:53to the skills that aren't public yet. And thanks, Mert, for doing this. Yeah, thanks, man.
