# Copy This Instagram Strategy to Grow FAST in 2026 Channel: heyDominik Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odPz5WfH19I Duration: 10 min Language: English Words: 2337 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/odPz5WfH19I --- [0:00] Have you noticed that getting followers and targeted reach from Instagram has become harder recently? Well, I thought so myself. So, I did some digging and I found some interesting things after working with hundreds of Instagram creators this year because turns out the way you arrange certain elements in your profile can be the difference between you barely scraping by or you absolutely killing it. In fact, my clients doubled how many of their profile visitors actually hit follow with these exact four changes. And one of them is a way to rearrange your grid in a certain way that I don't think anybody's ever talked about before. And it starts with the one [0:30] mistake that makes people leave your profile in two seconds. Imagine your profile is a shopping window in a busy shopping street, right? Where people walk by and people can see inside. If it looks like there's a bunch of random boxes and it's not really clear what I can get if I enter, you can't get me to go in there. The same thing happens with your profile. So, if there's anything that's confusing in your bio, your profile highlights, or the first few posts, people will get the hell out of there. And to pass this bar, all you have is two seconds. And there's two [0:58] major mistakes people make with this. So, here's an example creator. It's basically what I see daily. But first of all, you just saw this profile for two seconds. Now, please tell me what does she do and why would you care? Probably you can't tell that because it was not long enough. Probably you remember that she does something with nutrition. And then it looks kind of like everybody else and possibly that there's quite a bit of selling in the profile. Cuz if we look right here, she has 847 followers, 1,200 following. Then helping you become the best version of yourself doesn't mean anything. Nutrition, blah blah blah. And the first big thing we see is [1:29] DM me coach to work with me. And then down there, the second thing is book your free discovery call. Then we have work with me, bake the first thing, prices, testimonials, and doors are open one-on-one coaching. So, anybody who comes in and sees, okay, she's trying to get me to buy something. So, their shields are pretty high. And you know, her trying to sell me something, obviously there's nothing wrong with it cuz that's what it's all about. But nowadays, things have changed and people [1:52] just hate blatantly obvious sales posts. A lot of people say your profile needs to be a sales page basically and I totally disagree with that because people don't want to get stuff sold to. Instead, they want to figure this whole thing out themselves if they want to give you their money or if they consider following or you're buying from you. So, all your content, especially your profile, needs to do is to make them kind of figure this out naturally and [2:14] that's what we're going to do right now. And especially if you don't have a big audience like this example, you need to dial down some elements, some of these sales elements cuz you need to get people to trust you first. That's all it matters right now. So, that's the number one issue, the blatantly obvious sales. The second mistake that uh is also hidden right in here and it happens a lot is random elements just make people leave. So, if we go again here and we look here, there's a pinned post with 2 million views about uh the viral cottage cheese ice cream. Potentially, that is something random that has nothing to do [2:43] with actually what who she wants to attract cuz we don't know the backstory of that. But if we look even further down, right here, we have a reel that says or some cover that says progress, not perfection. And again, I have no idea what that actually is. Is that just a low effort, low quality picture without value or is there actually [3:00] something really valuable behind that? Your covers and everything on your profile needs to make it very easy for your ideal follower to know what they get behind each reel because people don't give you the benefit of the doubt. They look at this, like I said, and if something's off and something's confusing like this, they just leave. And Instagram, obviously, is not stupid cuz they track that and take note of that. So, what should you actually do instead to make this whole thing be the opposite? And I've given this a lot of thought because I've seen the whole decline of people not wanting to follow somebody anymore and the results being [3:30] lower. So, I was like, "Huh, what if I did exactly the opposite of what people are saying?" So, I went ahead, told this to some of my clients, and specifically made them take out a lot of that first impression storefront selling thing at first glance. Your viewers' journey, they should have to naturally want to follow you and trust you and actually buy something from you at some point whenever they're ready. And here's what happened. Well, turns out a lot of people really prefer more of that natural stuff, less of this, "Oh, I just want to sell you something." And on average, within 2 months, the follower [4:01] conversion rate, as well as the the business results from this profile, from these profiles, actually doubled within 2 months. Just by changing these things that we're going to go over. So, let's start with basically the entry point. Somebody watches a reel, they think it's a good reel, so they check out her profile to see what else you have. It's just the way it is right now. If they're hit with "Buy this, get that, my coaching." It's game over. These times are done. So, the first thing you really need to pay attention to is making your profile look more like an actual human being. And think of which elements of [4:31] your profile currently lose trust cuz they're obviously blatant sales. And think of which elements actually make you stand out and look like a real person somebody wants to follow. So, for our example profile right here, remember, pretty salesy, like I said. And usually I use the test if I go ahead and just cross everything out and just look at the bio itself and think, "Could this be on anybody else's bio? And would I have trouble trusting this person with that?" It just looks like everybody else. 100% yes here. Which means her bio, everything written in there, is not really a bio. It's just a copycat slogan. By the way, I just recently [5:03] updated my free profile analysis AI that I created. Where you basically just put your profile in and it tells you what to fix, what are the elements that you're missing, basically, where you leave things on the table. Just paste your handle in there and you'll know what to optimize. Totally free. First link is in the description. So, I put her profile into my profile AI and it came up with something that actually disables all these guards, these sales guards, to look more like a real person. So, this is what it came up with. Just a one-liner. Basically goes against any advice we people say. We just have in [5:32] there, "I help busy moms beat the 3:00 p.m. energy crash without meal prepping every Sunday." And then, "Free 5-day meal plan." That's it. Very low-key and instantly takes away all my Trojan horse reflexes, if you think about it. Because, first of all, it helps. It names a problem people have in her target audience, busy moms beat that 3:00 p.m. energy crash, which a lot of people have. And um yeah, she just basically rides with it. Plus, the call to action is not a book me or whatever it is. It is something that is beneficial for whoever lands on this profile cuz they land on this profile [6:02] cuz they need something cuz they have some certain need, basically. And then they go, "Hell yeah, free 5-day plan. I'm totally up for this." If we take a look at the highlights, the first thing, if we look at it how it was before, work with me, prices, testimonials, yeah, weird. It went from this to 3:00 p.m. crash. So, again, solidifying this one [6:20] problem people have, problem focused. Some results cuz they want to know, quick meal. So, another thing, her target audience don't have a lot of time, so quick meals is like, "Oh, cool." So, again, ups my chances to come down and check out more. And the rule, by the way, generally speaking, if you have something to sell, the left ones are there to serve the viewer more, basically to to make him understand why they should care and just make him stick there to spend more time with your content. And more towards the right, you want to have stuff that uh makes him actually do something, makes him want to [6:47] buy your stuff. Now, the next part is something that a lot of people get wrong cuz it's really misunderstood. We're talking about the pin posts and the posts right after the pin posts. Because these first six posts should never be random because you want to use them to systematically pull your audience through a certain sequence, basically. And that sequence depends on what you actually need right now. Cuz if you didn't notice, you can actually now rearrange any of the posts you have on your main grid, which unlocks something insane, especially when it comes to [7:14] converting people to followers and more. The first three posts should be your pins. You can pin them. Basically, they're there for somebody who just landed on your profile and isn't sure about you yet. With these, you better make them sure that they're at the right spot. And the first pin should always answer, "Well, is this even for me? Why am I here?" Right? Basically, you want to take your audience's biggest problem or need and show them what you solved or what you would do, right? For example, [7:37] in this case, why you crash at 3:00 p.m. So, their biggest problem broken down, explain, they see, "Okay, you have some knowledge, something like that. And at the end of that first pin, you need to link it straight into a natural next one, something that continues this whole thing, right? So, the pin is not just one post, but it's actually a door into [7:54] five to keep your session time high. Now, pin number two is where you actually prove that you are worth a follow. And the key for this pin number two is not to overthink it. Whatever you put in there has to be uniquely yours, right? Whether that is your opinion, whether that is based on your unique [8:10] data or something you've learned doing. Point being, it should not be just another repackaged tip they've seen from five other accounts already. It needs to be actually something so specific that they get FOMO if they don't follow you. For example, right here, no more 4:00 p.m. coffee. And in there she's just talking about her transformation [8:25] journey, some 8-weeks journey, right? And pin three, this really important too, should get them into your ecosystem, right? To take this whole thing a notch further to, you know, make them first of all get more trust, plus give you their email, right? With a ManyChat sequence and stuff like that. Now, something really specific and free, but clearly, again, something focused on solving their biggest problem, their biggest need. Now, just this alone should already get what I call your profile conversion rate up quite a bit, cuz suddenly it's not random anymore, right? But most people actually don't realize that they can actually rearrange their whole grid and then make the next [8:59] three posts continue this journey to get this conversion rate even up way more. I don't think anybody's ever talked about this, but the results my clients have gotten through this are just insane. And what these three posts are totally depends on what you need. So, if you need reach and followers right now, you put your best follower converting content in there. But if you feel like you need more trust or authority, put a story reel or something transformational [9:21] or something relatable in there, right? The stuff that makes you feel like more like you're an actual person. And if you need leads and sales, well, create a whole bunch of lead magnets more entry points in there to kind of get this whole thing up. Or, you know, you want to do a mix of all. A lot of people do that, actually works well, too. Because what this whole thing does is you just continue to post like you normally would and you get obviously people to your profile and suddenly with this you have control over what you want people to see. Not just some random stuff that [9:47] happens to be whatever you posted on, you know, last. But here with this you can directly influence what I call your whole content funnel and choose how they basically go through your ecosystem. Now, if you remember what I said before, if people come to your profile and then they bounce, Instagram stops sending you more and your reach declines. That actually also works the other way around. So, watch this video next and I'll show you a specific set of things that make the algorithm send you more of the right people. So, this whole thing [10:14] makes even more sense. --- About this transcript Read from YouTube's own caption track and laid out by ViewRank AI (https://viewrankai.com).
