# Meta Muse Is Incredible - 5 Features You Need To Try Channel: Paul J Lipsky Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC_-9TD3TfA Duration: 18 min Language: English Words: 3616 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/lC_-9TD3TfA --- [0:00] MetaMuse is without a doubt the easiest AI agent I've ever used, but don't let its simplicity fool you. Under the hood, it is incredibly powerful. In fact, there are five particular things about Muse that are absolutely incredible and make it well worth trying. So, let's jump in and I'll show you what all five [0:17] are and how you can use them yourself. So first, if you're not very familiar with Muse, let me give you the 2-minute quick tour. Feel free to use the timestamps down below though if you want to skip this part. Now, I primarily use Muse on my phone. This is one of the few AI agents I've used where the experience is almost exactly the same on the phone app as it is on the computer, which means you can get the full power of Muse everywhere you go. But today, I will be showing you this on the Mac desktop app because it's bigger and easy to see in [0:47] this video. But it looks exactly the same as the phone app except this menu bar that's on the left will be on the bottom on your phone. Now, right away, one thing you'll notice that makes Muse a little bit different from other AI tools is that it's primarily focused around one single chat. This is my main chat right here. If you click on the top left here, you can start these things called side chats, and I do use these sometimes, but primarily, you're just going to be using the main chat, which really leans into that simplicity angle that they're going with Muse. You don't have to kind of juggle these different [1:23] chats or worry about where different tasks should go. It's just one place where you are always chatting with your Muse. Now, in addition to the chats, there are a few other tabs here. I just want to focus on one or two of them. So, this one right here is called ideas. And what I love about this is a lot of times people struggle to come up with what to use an AI agent for. And that's exactly what this ideas tab is for. Based on the conversations you've had with Muse, it will think about new and different ways it can help you. And you can see all of [1:57] those suggestions right here. For instance, recently I was asking it about climbing gyms in LA because I'm planning on visiting soon. And so based on that, it said, "Hey, if you want, I can create for you a schedule for when you're in LA to map out the different days that you could be climbing." So just different things like that. It's very helpful. And [2:16] there's also a tab here called goals. And these are automatically generated based on what you chat with Muse about. So for instance, recently I was just talking about creating this video right here. So it said, "Hey, create the Meta Muse video." And so then I can come in here and check this off. Totally optional to use this, but I do find it to be pretty helpful and pretty nice. So it helps me remember, "Oh yeah, we're working on that project." Or I was chatting with it about that. I want to now follow up on it. So that's the quick Meta Muse tour, but let me actually show [2:46] you the five features specifically that really stand out to me about Muse that I absolutely love. So the first thing I want to highlight for you is that Meta Muse is really good as a personal shopper. And that's because of two reasons. First, it has its own browser, so it can navigate around the web and shop for things for you. And two, it has a built-in payment system. So right here, I've been chatting with a side chat in Muse asking it to look on Facebook Marketplace for this camera that I'm looking for. It found a bunch of them, but now I'm going to have it look on eBay as well. Hey, um can you [3:22] look on eBay for any similar deals or maybe ones that are better? And for that, of course, I use the dictation button. That's the number one way that I use Muse because again, I'm doing it from my phone. It's just a lot faster to use dictation. So right here, you can see it is using its browser. That's what this means. And then the browser pops up and you can click right here where it says open browser and see exactly what it's doing. And if at any point you don't like what it's doing, you can click on the top where it says stop or even take control of the browser. All [3:51] right, let me close the browser now or my view of the browser because honestly I never even open this up. I find that Muse just does a very good job, so I just let it run on its own. And here are the results. It said it found a few of them. So, what is this? Like five or six five of them? There's a couple more in [4:06] here. So, two, four, six, seven of them. And now I can compare these and look at them and decide which one that I want to purchase. And here's a little synopsis of it. It says we have found some used ones, some refurbished ones, and some that are currently buy it now or auction. So, I had a little bit more back and forth with my Muse and we [4:23] narrowed it down to one specific camera. And I told it to add it to the cart, which it said it can't do um because it's not logged in. So, I said, "Okay, log into my account." And what Muse does is anytime you have to log into a website or it's going to it's going to log in on its browser, it sends you this secure login right here. So, you don't have to give your email and password to [4:45] Muse directly. So, this has popped up. I'll click add right here. And I'll enter in my eBay username and password. Okay. So, the eBay password is saved and now I'll just tell it log in and add that one to the cart. And here it's asking for permission to do that. So, there are a lot of guardrails in place to make sure that it doesn't go off and perform actions you don't want it to, especially around critical things like logging into websites or making purchases. But I'll go ahead and allow this. It will then add it to the cart and because my credit card information is saved in eBay, it can complete that [5:16] purchase. But if there are other websites where you don't have your credit card information stored, like maybe you ask it to order some food for you from a local restaurant, it can still do that. If you come over to any chat and ask Muse to help you set up link, you'll see another button that pops up that's very similar to the one we were just looking at for the login, but this one will allow you to connect up link, which is a service where you can give an AI agent a credit card [5:44] number to make purchases for you. There's again safety guardrails here. Every purchase you will have to approve and you will be able to keep an eye on everything that it's doing. But, it's very convenient for having it make those purchases for you from websites where your credit card isn't stored. And before we move on, let's take a quick moment to hear from today's sponsor, Wisp Prompt. Wisp Prompt is a handheld AI workflow controller that talks with the AI tools you already use, like ChatGPT work, Codex, Claude Co-work, or Claude Code. It's great at keeping you in the flow. I've set mine up so a double press of the scroll wheel takes [6:18] me straight to ChatGPT. Wisp Prompt is even adding the ability to route our voice directly to agents like ChatGPT or Claude Code without switching windows. From there, I long press this button to activate the AI dictation. I have mine set to whisper flow, but you can set it to any tool you already use or use Wisp Prompt's built-in voice dictation. It even has a built-in mic so you can talk directly into it. Here, I've got a CSV of product feedback want to know what to build next. Analyze this CSV, merge duplicate issues, separate bugs from feature requests, and rank them in a dashboard. Before sending this, I'll use [6:55] Wisp Prompt to add a few details. Link issues to the original feedback, add category filters, and create a developer-ready ticket for the top bug. After ChatGPT is finished with the task, Wisp Prompt vibrates to let me know. To check out Wisp Prompt, use the link down below. Now, let's get back to the video. All right, this second thing I love about Muse is a quick one, but it is a lot of fun and very helpful. So, anytime you get a response from your Muse, you can ask it to instead create for you a voice memo. So here, I asked it some questions about some AI models, quite a [7:29] long response. So, I'm just going to tell it, "Hey, can you send me a voice memo with the quick summary of that?" And then, literally just a few seconds later, here's our voice memo. Let's give this one a listen. Quick summary of the Astra versus Fable debate. Anthropic shipped Claude Fable 5.1 on September 1st. OpenAI answered [7:46] with GPT-6 Astra. So, I absolutely love this feature again because I use it so much from my phone. I use the dictation button to send it messages. And oftentimes I will ask it for a quick summary in a voice memo. Or you can even start a side chat. And inside the side chat, tell it something like, "For every response in the side [8:06] chat, send me a voice memo." You got it. From here on, every reply in this chat comes with a voice memo. So, this is really helpful for always going to this same chat anytime you're in a situation where you just want to have that voice conversation back and forth. Like maybe if you're out for a [8:23] walk or doing chores around the house. But, if you want to take things up a level, you can have it create podcast for you. That's the third thing that I want to show you. So, again, the same research assignment here comparing these different AI models. But, instead of that quick memo, I'm going to tell it, "Actually, create a whole podcast episode for me about this topic." So, as you see here, this one is a little bit longer at 6 and 1/2 minutes. And the player looks different as well. We have play, skip forward, skip back. You can even change the speed. Let's give this one a listen cuz it also sounds a little [8:54] bit different. Welcome back to the show. I'm Alex. And I'm Jordan. And today we're talking about the debate that has completely taken over the AI world for the past 3 weeks. Astra versus So, pretty cool. And where I think this is going to be very helpful is in getting daily reports. So, for instance, right here, I just set one up. And I told it, "Every morning, I want you to do some research into what consumer AI tools are trending, what are people talking about and interested in, what's new think in terms of news, Grok, Bard, ChatGPT, Gemini, Spark, Claude, all those kind of consumer AI tools. And [9:30] then I want you to create a podcast episode for me every morning with that information." So, it's doing the first one right now. And then it's going to run that every single morning for me. So, we went from voice memos to podcast, but voice can be taken to a whole other level with Muse because starting very soon, Muse will be able to make phone calls for you. And I have early access to this, so let's check it out and I'll [9:53] show you how this works. The first thing you need to know about this phone call function is that it's only available for calling official US businesses for customer side tasks. So, you can't have it make a personal phone call for you, or you can't have it do cold outreach for you. But if you want it to call a restaurant and ask it if had any reservations available, or store to see if something is in stock, that it can do. So, for instance, over here I asked Muse to check if my local Barnes & [10:22] Noble had a certain book in stock. Obviously, the first thing it did was check the official Barnes & Noble website, and it said it wasn't in stock, but sometimes that information is incorrect, so it suggested a phone call. Whenever you ask it to create a phone call, it will always put together a plan first. So, here it says it who it's calling, Barnes & Noble in Boulder, and here's the phone number. And then it says who it is calling as. It can either place the phone calls as a man or a woman, and it will always say it's calling on your behalf. I always tell it [10:53] not to use my last name, and it always honors that request. And then here is what it's asking it. Once you approve that, there'll be another pop-up that asks you to approve it again. Again, more guardrails. And then it will actually place the phone call. Now, you cannot listen to the phone call, but they will give you a transcript of it after it's finished. Now, I want to be honest about this experience because it has been a little hit or miss. I have gotten it to work and actually do tasks for me, like calling stores to check for availability of different items, but a lot of times, honestly, the businesses [11:29] that I call get angry that an AI is calling because they can tell. They always ask, "Is this an AI? Is this a robot?" And then it answers honestly, "Yes." And then the business is a lot of times they get pissed off and either hang up or say, "This is ridiculous. Just check the website. All the information's on the website." That got me curious and I wanted to hear what these AI agents actually sounded like when you're on the phone with them. So, I'm going to have them call my business and I'll be able to record it because it's on my phone and we can all listen [11:59] in and hear what it's like. And I'm going to try to send it off script a little bit, ask some different questions from the one that it's asking me to see how well it handles that and then ultimately really what this sounds like from the business's side. Hi, I'm calling on Paul Lipsky's behalf. [12:17] I'm transcribing our call for notes. What hours does The Uncarved Block LLC operate? Oh, who is this? My name's Brett. I'm just calling to ask your business hours. Are you an AI? Yes, I'm an AI assistant. What hours does The Uncarved Block LLC operate? And And who who told you to make this phone call? Paul Lipsky asked me to call. What are [12:44] your operating hours? Oh, he just That's the only thing he wants to know? Yes, just the business hours for The Uncarved Block LLC. It's 24/7. Got it. Thank you. That's all I needed. I don't know about you, but I thought that sounded pretty good. You could definitely tell it wasn't a human, which I actually think is a good thing for now. But, I think there are just a lot of people out there who are so anti-AI as soon as they even suspect that it's an AI, they get angry. But, let's move on now. I'll show you the last thing before I show you the bonus thing that I [13:18] really like about Muse. And this one is something that you need the desktop app for. Okay, so what you're looking at right now is my other computer, my Mac mini. That's a little computer that I leave on 24/7. I don't even have a monitor plugged into it. So, what I'm doing right now is screen sharing that into my MacBook. So, that's what you're looking at right now is the screen sharing software, and within that is the desktop of my Mac mini. And on that computer, I have Muse open 24/7. And that's because I found that surprisingly Muse is very good at accessing files on that computer. So, I have that computer [13:58] set up for months now because I have ChatGPT and Claude running automations on that device 24/7. And another thing I could do is use the ChatGPT desktop app to access files on that computer. And the experience works fine. I use it all the time, but it's like a little bit clunky. You have to open the side menu, and then click on remote, and then at the top you have to choose the computer you want to get into, which is the Mac mini in this case. And then from there, you can start a new chat. So, it definitely works. It just requires a few steps. With Muse on the other hand, the [14:34] experience is a lot more straightforward. From within any chat, I can tell it something like, "Hey, I left a document on my desktop on my Mac mini. Can you just look at that and give me a quick summary of it?" So, now it is looking at this file right here, and then it just gave me a summary of it. And so, now I'm going to ask it [14:58] to make some changes to that file. "Hey, can you just take that summary and just add it to the top of that document in a summary section?" And it says that it's done. So, let's take a quick look. I will open up this file, and right here at the top you can see the summary, the thing it just added, and then the rest of it. And it's that easy. So, like I said, other tools like ChatGPT and Claude are a lot more powerful. They can do a lot more things on your computer, but if you just need access to local files, reading them, editing them, Muse [15:27] is so straightforward and so easy to set up and use for that. Now, a little bit of an asterisk on this, I have this only running on my Mac mini, which doesn't have access to all of my files. It only has access to certain files that I feel comfortable letting Muse, ChatGPT, and Claude have access to. If you give access to your entire main computer, that is something you would want to think about before actually doing. And like I said before, I have one bonus one for you as well. Despite all of those amazing capabilities, Muse is pretty much free. Now, if you click on the [16:04] bottom left here and click on settings, you'll notice there is a usage section. And theoretically, when this fills up for the week, you're not going to be able to use Muse until it resets. But I'm 2 days away from my reset date, and I've only used 15%. So, these limits are quite generous. In addition to that, if you come over to your main chat, and you click on the top right here where it says invite, you can get a code that you can share with anyone else, and once they redeem that code, both of you get 1 billion tokens, [16:39] and you can redeem it up to 30 times. So, you can see here in my settings, I have 30 billion additional tokens, which I haven't even touched yet. So, even if I run through my limit for the week, I will have plenty of usage left over, and you will as well if you share your invite code with other people. Now, I [17:00] don't know how long this going to last. Usually, a lot of these companies will start with higher limits and then reduce them as time goes on. But at least for right now, the plan is very generous. So, there you go. Those are five reasons I think you should try out Meta Muse. Now, do I think this is the most powerful AI agent out there? No, but it is very simple to use, almost free, and [17:20] has a lot of really cool capabilities. So, it's definitely worth trying. However, I think something like Grok Bot, for instance, is like one or maybe five steps above what Muse can do. It's a little bit more complicated, but ever so slightly more complicated, and it gives you a ton more capabilities. So, if you want to learn about Grok Bot and what you can do with it and how it's similar to Muse, but with more capabilities, check out this video right here, and I'll see you over there in 1 [17:47] second.
