# Grok Bot is the best agent I've used... with one catch Channel: TechGuyver - Always be creating Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9rujxoaujs Duration: 11 min Language: English Words: 2452 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/l9rujxoaujs --- [0:00] Grockbot is the best agent that I've ever used. I've been using it every day since it's been launched. I have more than 50 agents that I use both for personal and project or business-related stuff. So, hopefully you can decide if it's something that's worth for you to try after you watch this video. So, what is Grockbot? Grockbot is a team of always-on agents that are there and keep working even when your computer is closed. Grockbot is not a chatbot and the difference is that in a chatbot you're going to ask questions and get answers and it's only active as you're engaged in the conversation. For Grockbot, you can think of it like [0:32] you've got people behind these conversations and these people have specific roles or specific jobs. You might have a bot that is in charge of giving you YouTube signals like when new posts from your favorite creators are out or news. You might have a news summarization bot that takes news from all the people that you follow or newsletters that you subscribe to and gives you a summary and a report at the end of the day or it can be a bot that does work proactively for you. Let's say increases your SEO visibility or gets you customers, reaches out, does research. It keeps working in the background and you can talk to it like [1:09] you would to a normal person. XAI calls it AI teammates that finish your work. That's another way for you to kind of think about it. You set up bots, give each one a job and they do it every single day. Your computer can be off. You don't have to be talking to them. For example, right? My YouTube bot watches five channels and when one posts, I get a breakdown before I've even had my morning coffee. Here you can see a bit of a comparison of how Grockbot stacks maybe next to some of these other personal agents. You've got Meta Muse, Claude Duet, which is just [1:39] came out, and ChatGPT's agent or dots. So, here's a bit of how it looks. It really feels like a group chat. Looks kind of like iMessage where each of the bots has these nice, colorful icons in different shapes and that's all there so you can quickly kind of distinguish and so forth. You can easily navigate between the bots. Here you're going to [1:59] see the main conversation between them. One of the cool things, you could see how you can have conversations where you have multiple bots talking to each other. And you can even open groups with bots. My setup is I have this one main bot called Astrid that I just talked to as my, let's call it, super agent which is responsible, just like a Siri. I can ask and it'll direct me. Do we have any group chats here? Just sent a message and you're going to see it working. One of the great things is it's very, very fast. Look how quickly it gives me a [2:30] result. Yes, I'm in eight group chats. Most of them are named after the first message that had started them. Which right right now it's Astrid, but you can delete bots, you can add bots. Can you create a test group chat with a few agents or bots that you think would be relevant? One of the other things that's [2:42] really cool again is the interruptions. I could say, create two different ones. And now it's going to do it and again, like look how fluid it is. It's not telling me, oh wait until I finish to send me the message. It will already take that and kind of steer it automatically in a very, very, fluid way. And there you go. Here are the two groups. Task growth and growth and backlinks and you could see I have three different bots here. I have different bots for different projects as well. If you want to create a bot very simply, you could just say, can you create a test bot for a video that I'm making [3:12] right now? Creating a test bot. Sure, making a test bot for your video now. And there you go. It's very easy. So, the SEO reporter bot, for example, we have what's called routines. Every day at 9:00 a.m. it runs an SEO and report. It can send me things, images and videos very nicely that I can get in a summary. So, that's this whole concept of routines, recurring tasks that happen at a certain interval of of time. Now, what makes Bot did, which I think is really smart, is that when you have an account, basically you're getting an always-on computer that they have in the cloud. Right? So, [3:47] you could think you have your always-on computer. Each of these bots that I have here, they each get their own virtual computer as well. So, I'm going to click on it and you could see I can interact with this computer. I can see it and it makes it very easy cuz they organize all their information, all the work it gets stored there. I always have the full kind of maximum visibility of the work [4:08] and I can access this through my phone. This is an example of the virtual computer that Astrid has. I can do take control. I can click here. I can open a browser. And that's good sometimes when you might need to authorize and click, you know, if it doesn't pass these bot reviews screens and so forth. You can always step in. You can always see what it sees or you can ask it to open things in there. But it also it's like it has the same level of access as you. I have Chrome, it has Chrome. And it makes it a lot easier to go ahead and use. You can [4:36] see the details, routines. I have a bunch of different routines for Astrid since it's my main bot and you could see the routines here. Also, it is easy to create emails. Your bot's going to have their own email. You can just ask, you know, Astrid create your own email and it'll go ahead and do that. Astrid, what's your email? So, it has its own inbox. You can go ahead and email other people. It can sign up to things. That's what's really, really nice. And here you go. It has its own mail. Now, another really amazing thing is this whole concept of apps. They have really easy [5:03] click-to-connect between all of the main productivity integrations that you can think of, even things that are on your phone. I'll come back if you download it to your phone. You can even connect it to different apps there like notes, calendar. But the main ones I connect are runway, X, Gmail, Slack, calendar, Drive. It allows us to connect between all of them and because it's so smart, because it's so fast, doing that just gives it a lot better knowledge and just you'll get the huge value add by giving it that additional context so it knows a lot more of what's going on. And if you're missing a connection, you can [5:34] even ask it to create one and it will go ahead and do that. So, now let's talk a bit about the bots that I have. First and foremost, I have this YouTube Signals bot. It follows a bunch of different YouTube creators and every time that they post something, I get a summary of what they posted, what it's about, maybe how I can provide my angles and so forth. And you can see every 2 hours it'll kind of check and and do [5:53] that. I also have a a back links bot. So, you could think of this bot every day it updates me on the work that it does. It emails people to get my different projects back linked on different websites. So, basically referenced on other websites so that they will appear better in that when people are searching on Google or on ChatGPT, it's kind of doing that work for me, which you might have usually needed to make a very very manual process. One of my favorite bots is this Tech Over News bot. So, every day in the morning I get a really nice report based on all these different signals that I [6:23] follow. It gives me all the interesting stuff um that I can see what's happening in the way that I like it from a bunch of different sources. And then I also publish it online so people can go ahead and see. But this kind of gives me in the morning my daily report that I've curated and built over time. So, now we'll go over a few use cases that people have shared online, viral use cases of Grok bot. So, getting back money on medical bills or any sort of bill you've had in the past because Grok bot, give it access to your email, it can scan over everything, and [6:52] it can give you a nice report over all of your spends or your finances. And it can even contact and email people and even do I think voice calls on their behalf to go and get you money back. Amazon returns and customer support. It'll remove your number from spam list so you can go ahead and just ask it to sign up to these websites. This one specifically is removing you from the spam list so your number doesn't get spammed. Otherwise, it's just hard to go ahead and even find how to do that. And there's more advanced use cases. This person found a clinical trial for stage [7:19] four lung cancer. And so, now this person can potentially go ahead and find this experimental drug that might potentially save their life. It did the research basically for them. X use cases as well, kind of getting comments, sort of aggregating all the comments that you're getting. So, that's just a few. And there's more and more. You are going to find how surprisingly useful it is for handling and minimizing all the general bureaucracy, knowledge work, all the stuff that you might have in your Gmail, or things related in the spreadsheets, things related in the bureaucracy, in the paperwork. That's where it excels, and the setup that it [7:55] has is so useful that I really think you should try it out and and and see. So, how do I use Grok Bot? After setting up all the bots and playing around with it for a while, the way that I now use it because I have so many bots is I don't necessarily have to remember the specific name. I have my main bot Astrid. You could think of it like the Grok Bot Siri. I just talk to it and it sort of delegates. The chief of staff I set up in the past, I actually don't really need that anymore. People set up the chief of staff to help set up the [8:23] bots for them. So, it's like, "Okay, you set up a chief of staff as the first step." Say, "Based on all the work after you give it context, like what kind of bots do you think I should set up?" And it will go ahead and set up the bots for you. But then after that, I'm really not sure that you need it. I have Astrid as my main one, and it'll go ahead and delegate and do whatever. If I specifically need a bot, I'll go ahead and jump into it. So, Astrid has access to my inbox. It has access to its inbox as well, and you can connect multiple [8:50] inboxes, but it will go ahead and delegate to agents or bots that are needed based on the task. Grok Bot is the only agent that has that native integration into X, which is a huge value. X has the top breaking news, the best resources at the end of the day, at least in my opinion. The breaking stuff, the earliest signals come out from there. It can also DM people, answer people, go into your inbox, help make of the clutter, bookmarks on X as well. If you use bookmarks a lot, it can be super useful to kind of give you insight and pull signals from there. So, a bit about [9:20] plans, they recently changed this up a bit. So, now there's four different plans. You've got free, $8, $30, $100. I'm on the older $60 plan, which is somewhere in the middle, but I would just say start at the free and kind of upgrade as you go. You know, unless If a power user like me, you may not need more than the free or the $8 plan. So, [9:39] three things to know before you start. The usage runs out pretty fast. That's really the only thing that I didn't like is like it feels like they need to do a better job of giving you better value for money. I would keep my work and personal bots apart. So, make sure you have specific bots that are maybe interacting with personal things and specific bots or groups of bots that are interacting with business stuff because having two separate Grok Bot accounts is complicated. You're going to want to do everything under one separate Grok Bot account uh so you can access it easily and you'll have separate bots in Grok [10:09] Bot to handle that and not kind of cross cause a mess. And my biggest tip is give it real access slowly. Start very slow. Start by giving it maybe just very basic context. It can be calendar. It can be your notes. It can be your Gmail or email read-only access and see how it can can deliver that value for you so you can trust it over time without having to feel like you're being too reckless or doing stuff that you're not feeling comfortable with. The only real [10:36] downside for me was the usage. Everything else they're shipping super fast. It's their fastest growing product. Surprisingly, I think even to them. It's using most of the compute and they're saying it's going to keep doing that as it goes because people are using it more over time. So, hope you enjoyed the video.
