# 7 Mind Blowing Use Cases for Grok Bot Channel: Paul J Lipsky Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXfHQbyMjkc Duration: 18 min Language: English Words: 3802 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/kXfHQbyMjkc --- [0:00] A few weeks ago I made this video about GrokBot that went absolutely viral. You guys loved hearing all the incredible things you can do with GrokBot. But the number one thing I heard from you guys was that you wanted more, more use cases, more bots that you could set up, and especially things you could use in your personal life. So, here we go. I have bots that remind me about my home and tell me when something needs maintenance, one that books my haircut every 3 weeks without me asking, even one that builds my workouts and tracks my calories. Seven incredible bots that I'm going to share with you today. And [0:36] honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg because the more I use GrokBot, the more I'm blown away by all the incredible things I've discovered you can do with it. Quick heads up before we get into it, this video is sponsored by SpaceX AI, the company behind GrokBot. After seeing all the comments on the last video, they not only lowered the price of GrokBot, but also asked me to make this follow-up video to cover all the use cases that came directly from your comments. So, I'm excited to show you more of the bots I've been building [1:04] and try out some of your ideas as well. Let's get into it. So, here is my team of bots. If you watch my last video on GrokBot, you'll notice that we have some new bots here, and all of them look a little bit different from last time. I decided to give them all this pixel art style avatar with a white background, so they're easy to see and tell apart when I'm quickly glancing at all of them here on the left. And this is something I suggest that you do. Every bot should have its own unique name, a label that defines what they do, and a description, [1:34] and then of course the avatar. And the avatars are so easy to create because you just tell the bot in the chat, "Hey, create an avatar for yourself," and it will create it. And just a quick refresher, if you haven't used GrokBot before, you can set up new bots by clicking on the top here where it says new chat, and then click on create new bot. And then you can set up a bot just by having a conversation with them. So, you can say, "Your bot I'm going to use to help me hunt for a new home. Pick a name for yourself and create an avatar [2:05] that's in the same pixel art style as the other bots." Of course, you would tell it to take on the role of whatever you want it to be able to do for you. In this case, we're just using the example of being a home hunter. Then it's going to ask you a few follow-up questions and [2:20] then set itself up for you. There we go. It's pretty simple to set up and then it's just ready to go. And what I love about my bots is that it's the first time I've had an AI tool that really feels like a personal assistant. And the more you play around with it, the more I think you'll begin to experience that as well. So, to help you get there, let me show you some of the bots that I've set up. Like I said before, we are going to focus in on my personal bots. So, I will collapse the section that has all of my work bots. Here we just have our [2:50] personal ones. And the first one I want to show you is right here. His name is Fixer. Fixer is the memory for my home. He knows all of my appliances, all of the paint colors I used to paint the outside and inside of my house, the size of my furnace filter, and when I last change it. And the reason this is able to work so well is because every bot has long-running memory going back to your very first message. So, as you give Fixer more information about your home, he can keep using that context even if you ask him months later. The experience will actually get more personalized the [3:29] more that you use it. So, when I first set up Fixer, what I did was I grabbed my phone because there is a app for Grok Bot. And so, I just went around and just took pictures of all of my appliances and paint cans. And you don't have to overcomplicate this. You don't have to do everything at once. Just as you see things, just start taking photos of them around your house. And I gave him a bunch of scattered records I already had and what I could or remember about the different projects I've worked on around the house and when I last changed things like my filters. Now, anytime I have a [4:00] question about something around the house, I just ask fixer. So, for instance, I could ask what water filter does the fridge use and when did I last change it? And you can see right here the name of the filter and when I changed it, which was earlier today because fixer told me it's time for me to replace my filter, so I did. You'll also see that we have a next due date of March 11th. That's the next time that I should replace the filter. And what's really cool about fixer is now I don't have to remember that because fixer will remember for me and notify me. And you [4:31] can see that over here. We have a couple of routines set up where it will let me know when I have something due like the filter for my fridge or the filter for my furnace. So, when that time comes, he'll notify me and he can even purchase the filters for me if I want him to. But, he's only as good as the photos and information you give him. But, once they're in there, he can keep track of all those details and remind you when something needs your attention. This has turned out to be one of the most helpful bots. So, I actually want to thank one [5:04] of you for this idea. In my last video, Ryan left a comment telling me that he was using his Grok bot to help keep track of a 1,000 gallon reef aquarium. So, he added things like the lighting schedule, the water chemistry, and the maintenance information to help him stay on top of everything. That's a very similar idea as fixer. You give your bot the information about something you care for and he helps you keep up with all of it. Actually, this next bot also came directly from one of your comments. This viewer asked about using a bot to help their elderly parents. One simple way to [5:39] do that is to have a bot keep track of your parents' doctor's appointments and what happened at each visit. I I we'll call this bot Ken and I thought we would set this one up together. So, again, to do that, we'll click on the plus icon on the top and click on create new bot. Then, we'll set it up just by telling the bot what her job is. I'm going to use the dictation button for this. Your name is Kin. Help me keep track of my parents' doctors' appointments. Use the instructions from their doctors' emails and the visit notes I share to help them prepare for the visits. Keep a separate [6:11] history for each parent. With your parents' permission, you can connect the Gmail and Google Calendar accounts they use for their appointments. Then, Kin can see when they're going to the doctor and find the instructions the office sent them. So, let's say your mom has an appointment coming up. You can ask Kin what your mom needs to do to prepare for the appointment and what should she bring with her. Kin will then pull those details from the office's emails and the notes you shared from your mom's previous visits, so you can help her get ready without having to search through [6:39] all those emails and notes yourself. Then, after the appointment, you can tell Kin what your mom's doctor said or give her the visit summary, and she will keep track of all of that and put it in with the rest of your mom's history that you've already shared. The next time your mom goes, you can ask, "What did my mom's doctor tell her last time, and what did we need to follow up on?" She's [6:59] going to keep track of all of that. She's something you never have to worry about anymore. And that's the whole idea. One bot that helps you keep track of your parents' appointments, or your own if you want, and what was said at each visit, so you can have one place to reference all of that history. This next bot I call Booker. He's in charge of making appointments for me that need to happen on a regular schedule. For instance, I need to get my haircut about every 3 weeks, otherwise it gets way too crazy. So, Booker makes the appointments for me and adds them to my calendar [7:28] before I even think about it. And all this happens because he's able to check my calendar, and he has access to a browser. So, if we click on the top right here on this computer icon, this will show me Booker's screen, and I can open this up. you see that he's looking at the Great Clips website because this is where I get my haircut. And Great Clips allows you to book your appointments online. So, Booker will work as long as the place you want to book an appointment has online bookings, which Great Clips has. My dentist also has that, so Booker makes my dentist appointments for me every 6 months as [8:03] well. Now, he doesn't just pick a random time for me. Instead, what he does is when he sees that I'm due for a haircut, he will check my calendar and look for a time that works. And then he checks in with me. He says, "Hey, you're due for a haircut. I see that there's an opening [8:18] on your schedule at in this case 4:30. Do you want to lock in that date and time?" And I'll say, "Yes." And then around that time, he will go to the Great Clips website and put me on the waitlist so that by exactly 4:30, I am the first one in line and I'm ready to get my haircut. And then the first time that this actually worked, it honestly kind of blew my mind. So, he booked the appointment, he put it on my calendar, and then I showed up, and sure enough, I was on the waitlist. I was the first one in line, and I just went in, got my [8:48] haircut, and didn't have to think about it at all. It was really cool. I'm also going to set up Booker to do the same thing for oil changes and tire rotations for me. So, I just have a few less things I need to worry about. This next bot is honestly the one that I probably talk to the most. Coach Cal plans my workouts with me. He helps me keep track of the exercises that I was given from my physical therapist. He logs all my food and all of that in one thread. He's [9:14] basically like an entire health coach. And I text him like a coach, and he helps keep me motivated and honest with all of my workouts. When I first set up Coach Cal, I had him ask me a bunch of questions so he could understand my current fitness levels and so we could set some goals together. So, based on that, he said, "You know, these are the amount of calories you should be eating every day to meet the needs of of all [9:36] the working out that you're doing. Here's how much protein you should be eating. And then here is an outline of what your workouts will look like and how you should structure them. And so ever since then, I've been using this to log my workouts and to plan them out and to log all of my food. So you can see right here, sometimes I'll just tell it what I've eaten, just send it a message from my phone, or other times I will just send it a photo of the food that I've eaten. That's honestly the easier way because then you have to type a lot less. In addition to that, I have a [10:04] couple of routines set up, so every day at night it checks in with me to make sure that I've logged everything like my foods and my workouts. And then every Saturday morning, it asks me to do a weigh-in so we can compare if I'm actually gaining the muscle that I hope to be gaining. And what's really cool about this is that all of these bots share a computer that's logged in to all the tools that they need. So Coach Cal can keep track of the history of my workouts and what I've been eating. So when I ask it for help, it'll be able to pull from that and use it in the [10:35] conversation. So for instance, if I ask it, "Why haven't I been gaining muscle as quickly as I want to?" You can see here it says, "You're training well, you're eating enough protein, but you're not consuming enough calories to actually gain the weight or the muscle that you need." And it kind of really breaks that down for me saying, "Hey, like really, you're definitely not eating enough. That is the problem." So probably after this, I will go back to it and say like, "How can we stay on track?" Let me just do it now. I can say, "How can we fix this moving forward?" And here it's put together a [11:06] new eating plan for me so I can actually hit those goals. And again, it's not just eating. So like up here for instance, I went to the physical therapist earlier today and I told Coach Cal afterward exactly what happened. I said, "Went to physical therapist, he said I'm doing much better with my shoulder." And he gave me three exercises to do. I need to work these into my workout routine at least five days a week. It built that into the routine and is able to keep track of the routine, and everything I'm eating inside of its own computer, so that it can best help me with all of my fitness [11:39] goals. This next bot has already saved me a bunch of money. He's called Nope, and his sole job is to track all those free trials I sign up for, and to cancel them before I actually get charged. So, he's connected to Gmail. If you come over to Marketplace on the bottom left, you can see all the third-party tools [11:59] that you can connect up with GrokBot. So, I have Gmail connected, I have calendar connected. There are a lot of other ones in here like Google Drive, Notion, Granola. We have DocuSign, AgentMail, Brevo. So, there's there's a lot of them. And so, with Gmail, it's able to look through that and find any trial sign-up emails, and to track when those trials are going to renew. So, for instance, the first time I set this up, it saw that I had signed up for a Spotify Premium trial, which is several months long, so it's something I would probably forget about. But you see, once it saw that over here on the right, it [12:37] set up a routine for itself. So, on October 8th, it's going to go in and cancel my Spotify Premium trial for me. Of course, he checked in with me first. He said right here, "Hey, I saw you have the Spotify Premium trial. What do you want me to do with that?" And I said, "Yeah, I want to make sure that that is [12:54] canceled before I actually get charged." So, it's not just going to cancel something that I actually want to continue with. But you see up here as well, it will check every day for one of these trials. I might change that to once a week. But for now, it's set to every day, and then when it sees a new trial email comes in, it'll ask me what I want to do with it, and then if needed, make a routine for it. And then, when this actually becomes due, so on October 8th at 9:00 a.m., it will open up its own browser and navigate over to Spotify and log in to cancel that [13:27] subscription for me before I actually get charged. Again, just one less thing I need to worry about. Now that Nope is helping me avoid paying for things I don't want, Scout is helping me find better deals on things I do want. Scout is my personal bargain hunter. I tell Scout what I want and what I'll pay and how far I'll drive, then she starts hunting eBay and Facebook Marketplace until she finds me a good deal and I just kind of forget about it until she messages me. So we can see a few examples of that right here. Some of them are very straightforward. Like recently I needed replacement batteries [14:01] for these devices in my house and they were those round batteries, so I just took a photo of it, sent it to Scout and said, "Hey, find me some replacements for this battery on Amazon. I need a multi-pack." And then it found it for me and I just had to purchase them. So that made it very easy. And then we have things that are maybe not as straightforward. So I said, "Hey, I really need a new MacBook. The one I have is just not keeping up with my workflows. Can you find me something good? Um I'm looking at the newer ones, but I don't really know what I need. I [14:32] just need something that's going to be able to handle all my video editing and recording directly." So it did a bunch of research and for this it used its built-in browser. You can see that's still open right here. So it was looking around at different options, the different pricing and the different specs and comparing them and then came back to me with some Intel and it gave me a few different choices here cuz it [14:54] knows that this is an expensive product. So it's something that I really need to spend some time thinking about exactly what I need, but it gave me some recommendations. So just to kind of compare these two, I mean the first one's very straightforward. It's just batteries, so it just gave me one like this is the one that you should buy. But because this was a much more expensive purchase, you know, it's taking its time with me giving me the different options and asking me exactly what I want. So based on that it found me the best option that's available right now, but it's also setting up a routine so every [15:25] day at around 8:00 a.m. it's going to look for a better deal and it will alarm me if there's any price drops. It's not going to bother me otherwise, but if it sees that there's a price drop or some sale going on, it will let me know so I can grab it for the best possible price. And this last bot is a fun one. This is Weekender. His whole job is to find fun things for me to do every weekend. So I don't wake up on Saturday morning and realize that I had nothing planned and I [15:54] have no idea what to do with my weekend. And you start out by telling Weekender all the things that ideally you would spend your weekend doing. So maybe that's listening to live music, going outdoors and hiking, going to markets and fairs, and then it will ask some follow-up questions like what kind of music do you like and what is your budget for the weekends? And then every Thursday it will start hunting for fun things for you to do. And of course it uses its browser for that and if it sees something that you might like, it will let you know. And I actually told mine that if you see something that you think [16:30] I would like and it's free, just sign me up for it. Anything that's paid though, let me know first and if I like it, I will approve it and then you can sign me up for it and pay for it as well so I can actually get registered. And you can see an example of that right here. Weekender found an event for me but it's not free, it cost $5. So it wants to know if that's something that it should book for me. So he's never going to buy anything on his own. And what I found is the more you use Weekender and the more you react to what he finds, the better [17:02] he gets at picking out fun things for you to do on the weekend. If you want to try any of my bots or even build one of your own, Grokbot is linked at the top of the description and in the pinned comment. I'd start out with one at first, pick one chore that always annoys [17:17] you the most and give one bot that job. Then, let them prove themselves before you start making some more. Mine started with a haircut. Now, I've got a whole team handling the stuff I used to avoid or hate doing. And I honestly forget most of it is even happening. And please, keep the ideas coming in the comments down below. The aquarium example and that family helper came from you guys, and I'd love to see what else you're using your bots for.
