# I'm scared. It copies any site! Channel: The Next New Thing Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwrTlH3W7yA Duration: 8 min Language: English Words: 1487 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/iwrTlH3W7yA --- [0:00] Andrew, check this out. With just one shot, build Duolingo. With Shipper, anybody can turn any website into a mobile app. With a single prompt, you can build any app that you can imagine. Is it really Opus 4.6 that you're putting front end on? Yeah, the Opus models are always the best ones from Anthropic. This is do a screen share, and I'm just going to show you how simple this is. Presented by Zapier, the AI automation company. David, that's the tweet that made me want to interview you. You go with one shot, my Mac copied the tool, the app of a 4.5 [0:30] billion-dollar company. Is this real? Can you actually do that with me today? Show me. Yeah. Yeah, super simple. So, I have here the app we're talking about is Duolingo, which is worth 5.53 billion. So, if I go to this tab, I have this app, and as you can see, the prompt is, "Hi Claude, let's build an iOS native [0:50] app for learning French like Duolingo." Now, on the right side, this is the preview on desktop. If I scan this QR code, I can also test it on my phone. Um, but it's really simple. So, if I go here, these are the lessons. These are the words that I'm going to learn in the [1:07] app. Okay. And now comes the actual lesson. What does bonjour mean? And it's hello. Okay? So, you get the idea. I'm going to say merci. Okay, all the words. Let me just leave the lesson. We also have practice, which this is all from one prompt again, by the way. You have all this stuff that um I've made the app just for French, and I have all the tools that I need in order to learn French here in the very same app. I have a leaderboard for This is fictional data because I haven't connected my database yet, but these are the supposed users of the app as if I [1:42] launched it. Okay. [snorts] I got my profile, and I have all the lessons here, and it just goes on forever. So, All right, we're going to see how this is done from scratch, but I want to point something out. You're saying "Hi Claude." This is Opus 4.6 under the hood. Is that right? Yeah. Yeah, that's the engine. Hi Claude, it was just for Twitter, to be honest, because that's what I'm going to show in the video, but yeah, you can just go into the prompt [2:06] without "Hi Claude." But is it Is it really Opus 4.6 that you're putting front end on? Yeah. Yeah, that's We're using it because we found it to be the model that most that makes the most reliable apps, the most nice-looking apps. It's Opus The Opus models are always the best ones from Anthropic, so we're using them [2:27] ourselves. Okay. All right. Let's make an app from scratch. We've been talking about X. Let's take a look at what it would look like if you and I were to copy Twitter, X. Okay, so I have this prompt here. Let me just copy-paste it. Convert my website into a mobile app, x.com. Hit submit. Okay. Hit submit, and we end up here. As you [2:52] can see the prompt, and this is the app. So, this is the first prompt. It hasn't gone and developed every single thing, but it's pretty impressive how far it's gone even from the first prompt. So, we have a few a few tweets here from again, just mock data until we connect the database and invite people to use [3:10] it. But it has all the functionality. So, if I click like, you know, it likes the tweet, unlike, it works. Or I open up the tweet, I have reposted, like, save, you know, all the stuff. Okay. Let me Let me be clear, though. There's no user account, right? Essentially, what it's doing is it's picking out some of the features and building what it can, and then the user account things like that it would need to do afterwards, right? Yeah, so it's giving you all the stuff It's giving you all the tools that you need to just click this publish green this green publish button right here, and go on to [3:43] bring your actual friends and users into the app. Don't you need a user account to log in so that you know who the user is who's hitting like? So, that's when you deploy the database. That's um that's what we call Shipper Cloud, which is just a different arm of Shipper where you talk the AI and you say, "Hey, I want people to log in to the app." You know, log in with Google, log in create their own accounts. And that's where you do Well, we can do it from the first prompt or from the second one, but here we just wanted to clone the UI. So, [4:14] as soon as you create the database, you have here Shipper Cloud back end. You know, you enable it, and you're going to see all the accounts, all the people that have signed up for your app right here. I can show you I have another app for this um which is this caffeine tracker app where [4:30] I have a database. And this you made for yourself. Yeah. And it shows here Oh, sorry, the users tab. It shows all the accounts that I have created for this app. I can click add user. Just make this an email. Cool. And there you go. The user has been created for for the app. By the way, let me be honest with you. A lot of this looks exactly like Not exactly. It doesn't look exactly like it, but a lot of these features are [5:02] familiar for people who've used Lovable. What's the difference between Shipper and Lovable? So, the main difference between us and Lovable is you can go beyond web apps. Lovable is known for building reliable websites and web apps. As of late, even PowerPoint presentations, but we We've tried to go the extra mile. Something we had from an idea we had from the day that we started was we want people to build mobile apps like we did [5:28] with the Duolingo app or we did X app. So, you can build mobile apps, Chrome extensions. You can also convert a website into an app like native like the the builder knows instantly what it has to do. You can clone a company. You can build Discord bots, Slack bots, and soon we're going to release WhatsApp bots as well. So, we're just trying to provide people with tools to build all kinds of apps that they always wanted to do, you know, without all the [5:56] dev hassle, basically. Okay. And I can actually publish this into the App Store. So, it is a general limitation that no third-party tool can submit your app to the Apple or to the Google App Stores, but we've tried to support our users you know, as far as it goes. So, we've tried to For example, if you go to publish on a mobile app, you're not going to publish it to the internet like you would with a regular website or web app, but if you click export and publish, you can download the code of your app, and Shipper is also generating all this stuff for you, the app icon, the [6:34] description, privacy policy. So, it really gets you ready so that when you get to the Apple developer account, you just click three buttons, and everything's ready. Everything's done for you, you know? And then you can connect it back here, and you can track all the metrics and all the stuff all in just one Okay. What about updates and changes? How does [6:54] it help with that? Any change that you want to do is you just talk to this AI into this chat box. You just say Even after it's published in the App Store? Yeah, you just Well, you're going to make the changes. You're going to download a new version of the app and just again submit it to the App Store. [7:10] Publish a new version. Yeah. Okay. All right. Right on. I've been really curious about how this is going, and I'm excited to see how far it's come. I'm really curious what what the what people are going to build. So, you can just DM me on X what you've built, and I'll be happy to take a look at it. All right. Right on, David. Thanks, everybody, and of course, we're going to be doing more interviews with entrepreneurs about how they're building AI apps and how they're building companies with AI. See you in the next [7:38] one. Subscribe. Bye, everyone. --- About this transcript Read from YouTube's own caption track and laid out by ViewRank AI (https://viewrankai.com).
