# $200,000 in 1 year from this faceless AI YouTube channel - FULL BREAKDOWN Channel: Andrew Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLSPPAhdV40 Duration: 39 min Language: English Words: 5797 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/ZLSPPAhdV40 --- [0:00] decided to record this video on the anniversary of this channel. Approximately one year since it got started and it generated approximately $200,000 US as you can see here. I wanted to say in revenue but actually it's around the same in profit because the cost per video is insanely low right now fully AI right as you probably know from the channel. We will come to that later in the video. And at the same time, right, uh since I mentioned that revenue and profit around the same, uh we have additional monetization apart of AdSense. But here you can see only AdSense revenue. Uh I would say this channel was one of the most noticeable [0:42] in the space. Uh maybe only the super lazy gurus didn't jump on the way how to clone Nick and West, right? You can see all these random people decided to share their kind of crazy strategies how to copy the channel they never owned or participated into. And guess what? They all failed. Right? So you can see here if I put only invests, right? It's just the guys who didn't go too far from our channel's name. um only added their right like first name whatever. So you can see here it's just the endless list of uh copycats that right they never broke even wherever [1:35] they just didn't execute at all. Sometimes they created the channel, added profile, pick, whatever. So they cloned the channel, but the channel is never the asset. The system is. And it's something I'm going to break down in this video. The strategies uh and the mistakes from copycats, right? Who actually like created some videos, not not these guys. Um yeah, so let's get into it. Uh as you can see the channel, right? like it's definitely not uh uh at the peak right now, right? Even though like after the first I would say decline, we have we had like all-time high, right? In terms of revenue, it was [2:16] like almost $2,000 US. Uh but yeah, the first reason of course is the amount of exposure, right? Because of course this channel has some really good overlaps in terms of uh branding elements, right? That's also one of the reason I would like to share it with you in this video. Exactly this channel because yeah I mean like it already leaked so many times. So this one number one reason right probably like your channel so you don't need to afraid of this your channel probably never gets never will gets that much exposure right like when it will be you know like really tempting to copy it's like faceless plus finance like [2:59] kind of good RPA people think it's good like bending strategy it's good like AI it's fully AI right so it's just like all these people like screaming uh and yeah I mean that was one of the reasons Right? So they started to teach some strategies, right? Like some guys random strategies. For example, nan, we never used nan in the videos, right? So really really weird stuff. Uh it got a lot of views, right? So you can see all these copycats. Uh when it's one of few channels copying, right? Like really bad execution, it's okay. But when it gets, you know, to the massive market, right, like like [3:37] hundreds or even maybe thousands of co Oh my god. Uh I know this guy um even thousands copycats. So people right still at the end of the day they are watching videos. So they see uh even videos on random channels on new channels and they fatigue more and more. So they start to believe less and less in this packaging in this execution. So even if they see like Nick invest video after they saw a few random channels right they think okay it's going to be another slope right that I already saw on like whatever channel right like any put any plus invest channel so they don't even [4:22] watch Nick invest videos that uh really like the the best quality I would say on the market maybe one of the best right I still not sure because there are so any copycats. Um yeah, so this the reason number one. Um and even though right like every video we produce it breaks even so we never negative on the investment per video because video cost like a few dollars. You can see here any video right like now we experimenting also with new style. It's showing like [4:54] good results, good audience feedback. Okay, really good to keep experimenting right even if the channel declines. So this is also systematic approach not just when you are like one YouTuber uh and you decide okay I just don't like this channel anymore right like it's going down but you can see it can go back again so you need to keep testing experimenting with system right uh for example I spend on this channel maybe like 10 15 minutes per month right because it's fully automatic uh anyways uh you can see here right like with some videos we have RPM I'm like 27. Uh really good on average. You can see [5:35] channel has a little bit more than 10 which is okay. Uh because the audience is not too old. Uh yeah this video 27 this video 25. Okay. Right. Really really decent RPM considering the cost and how easy to make these videos. Uh yeah. So, I wanted to tell you more about the copycats, right? Like first of all, like how to copy smartly and what people uh did on their side when they [6:08] copied Nick invest. So, what went wrong? As you can see here, number one, they Yeah, they literally copied the style, right? Griffin style, cartoon style. Didn't go too far from the naming. they created the channel uh right they didn't execute. So also one one of the things like when you create a channel right like you decide let's say like it's not an age profile like it's created channel what probably all these people used mainly because they're not experienced YouTubers so they created the channel uh they started to watch Nick invest video on their channel and they then they started to get recommendations like suggestions from other channels and they [6:56] created fun they see oh my god like and after like it compounds right so let's say like you upload first video then you upload second video so you go to the channel like every day and on s you probably know it if you're experienced YouTuber when you decide oh my god this is an amazing niche I found it no one knows from uh no one knows about it then you create a channel and then you get more and more suggested with uh competitors right Not only this channel you you thought like it's an amazing niche right no one knows about it. So yeah like new channel let's say like of [7:33] course like if it's not connected to algorithm like don't get me wrong if you upload these videos it's not immediate signal that you will be recommended with Nick invest videos. Oh, just people, right? Like what we do as well. Uh if you start a channel in a niche, you just want to subscribe to your competitor from this channel. Since the channel is new, right, you have nothing to get suggested from. It's say it's going to be Nick Invest and competitors. So they see they see how many and they stop right around like 10 10 videos. So this number one uh it's more like [8:06] motivational aspect I would say. Second thing late to the topic party. Um as it says third generation usually right gets like 10% of the second who is also a copycat right who also copied um yeah people didn't get innovative whatsoever right so they didn't copy the channel name avatar profile pick they copied exactly title structure right and this is maybe like not even the third generation it's like 10th generation [8:38] whatever so people already saw it Right? Please keep in mind. So this something I tell everybody I work with. All right? People at the end of the day watching your videos, it's not supposed to be for a YouTube bot, for algorithm, right? For um some like aliens or whatever, right? Like people if people are not satisfied, right? Of course, like there are some strategies, okay? But still the content [9:05] is for people. It's social media, right? If people think if you upload like uh let's say like a black screen video right 10 hours right like whatever like people will be not satisfied if they don't see any value feedback dopamine hit uh any any satisfaction right and even on thumbnails they see it's another AI slope another copycat they don't watch it so this is number one uh if for example if even in your style Let's say if you are target audience for this channel, right? Like you put this thumbnail, let's say, right? Uh on your main screen through your suggested uh in Photoshop, in Canva or [9:52] whatever and ask yourself if you would click on this video, right? If it makes sense for you to click on on this video wherever, right? So ask yourself first. Of course, sometimes like you are not your target audience and sometimes you don't need to even you know understand if you would watch it or not but probably these guys they have overlaps right they saw Nick invest they got suggested to Nick invest they bought maybe like school community right like I'm going to talk about later uh yeah ask yourself first the same when it comes to topic right uh people that's why I mentioned that people watching [10:32] videos not not B or algorithm right if people already watch this video with the same style with cartoon style with the same triggers right why would they watch again when we come to ideiation right I'm going to talk about later it's okay it's another thing right like when we are cross transferring uh topics right uh from other niches from other formats it's okay but when do you copy exactly in your format exactly with the channel's name but even shittier execution right? Like worse scripts, worse AI, right? Like people sometimes like uh saving money. So they don't use even AI animation at the beginning. So why would why would uh and the end user [11:13] watch? The next thing is to rely on AI, right? Sometimes when people ask me right like Andrew, why would uh you do YouTube automation if you can delegate everything to AI and AI will run channels instead of you? I mean you can already feel this this question is really unrelevant because AI is here to complement right some things is to add something is to help with speed right with velocity with like new ideas but it's not to change a human with experience right with like visual pattern recognition with skills with uh others like system building whatever uh because if you don't guide AI it's going to be very generic right when [12:06] it comes to even ideiation so now we are building like uh like MCP right like with all the knowledge with uh all the experience for internal use only right like uh how we can analyze right like get ideas ranking uh it's going to be improved right and compounded with more data with more feedback from viewers right like what a suggested then how it [12:30] performed. It's still right like you probably like uh don't need it right now. So you can use just prompts but if you say like you can see like this this was really like uh simple prompt uh I put um yeah so if you don't guide AI right you say like I like Nick invest channel copy it no mistakes I mean uh the result probably is going to be really on on surface so yeah if you don't give give AI uh more clarity more input right like let's say with prompting or just with uh information. It's going to be very generic, right? Like it doesn't validate niche ideas for you, right? It doesn't [13:16] have like any additional knowledge. It just wants to give you uh the output, you know, with u as low resources as possible. So, it doesn't really care about your performance, about how much money you will make, whatever. The next thing for uh channels who actually broke uh some view floor, I would say, right? uh whatever uh what they did is they used and what also competitor used they use like one AI template uh for script really really bad template right when video every video starts with like the same hook basically the same structure then the video goes to the same details so it's boring right like if we would make this every single [13:59] day when we uploading video it would cause like really insane audience fatigue and we would not have the good amount amount of returning viewers uh to the channel. So yeah like after the first test right after even some uh you can see channels they got subscribers here uh they people watched some videos and they you know unsubscribed or left the channel completely because it's very uh basic script structure and yeah uh when I would say more channels even made it right like not like zero views but why they died completely. You can see [14:40] even maybe abandon the channel. It's like I would say like another mistake what people make is uh inability to double down on outliers right and I don't know maybe sometimes like it's ego effect right they want to try something more they believe in you ideas it's something also like doesn't make sense to be emotionally attached to the channel you know like experiment have pride feeling whatever it's the asset it's the business you just should make uh everything that will increase uh your [15:14] views, revenue and the business overall. Right? So, okay, you can see here the most popular video if I go here uh right this one renting versus buying. So after that you can see the person who is running this channel he didn't use the same packaging format the same even idea right uh and created videos about something completely different right like SpaceX wherever like he saw like on our channel like Nick invest SpaceX or whatever so yeah doesn't make any sense you can see like sometimes packaging is really weird uh he started to do it only now basically one month ago, right? I can also like with two AI it's just you [16:01] can see like how okay this thumbnail and how worse this thumbnail, right? For a little bit different audience. Um yeah, just one advice when it comes to doubling down and maximizing this small amount of people that came to the channel right after this video. Let's say it's still small, right? uh you just need to zoom them out. It's more like also topic for another video more umbrella strategy how to maximize amount of views right when you are kind of focusing on nurture small audience how to extend it but here is not even about it you just need to give people like a second let's say um [16:45] episode of TV show right think about it like when you have not even part two right some even channels we do like part two and it it works right because people came uh they really interested in looking something deeper right let's say like you watch a TV show and after that uh you watch uh with more probability like season two right or if it's a movie like a spin-off right like uh of a movie rather than completely different format so people came people come to a channel right like from outliers so you need to give them the same idea right the same videos not something completely [17:26] different. It can be also different, but it's more risk, right? I mean, you shouldn't need you should make it more prognized. That's how business works, right? There is no like 100% probability, but you just need to maximize your chances, right? Like you maximize your shots. So, think about Yeah. like outliers, doubling down on them as like second season of your TV show. Uh, and in TV shows, usually it's the same character, right? like it's like weird uh probably like Black Mirror, right? When you have different characters, but it's still the same idea. So, usually in TV shows um uh in series like season two, right, after the season one is focusing about [18:11] like new setting or new uh characters apart of the main ones, right? Like new stories, new challenges, whatever. Uh the same should be for uh zooming out, right? But at the same time maximizing the views from people who already came to the channel. Okay. Um let's go quickly to another thing. Uh shortterm versus longterm channels. Uh it's a big topic, right? As you can see here, right? Like niggan invest is more like uh long-term channel, right? Uh focusing on uh compounding effect, right? more like leveraging uh already subscribers, right? Like as you can see here like returning viewers uh subscribers watch right they get notifications they go to [18:59] the channel uh of course not every single video because still it's a channel right like we are spamming so much but when it comes to shortterm channels it's more like arbitrage window so you can see here or here right like it's like Nepal fluts channel uh that was really good like arbitrage window people like you can see [19:19] here like the channel made money, right? But after that, the channel dead, right? Like the views like super low because like the trend is over and usually it's about other trends as well. Or as you can see here also really good example of arbitrage window like really good uh mix of um exclusive, right? Like breaking news packaging plus items. Uh yeah, but the channel now is is going downhill as you can see because also uh it happens when you underdel. So the packaging screams a lot, right? Like some people even need exact uh articles, brands, uh resources, right? like they can go uh from this video let's say and uh [20:11] visit websites uh you know but there's like uh not so much information but anyways so this is a good arbitrage window this channel was one of the first ones focusing on closing right nowadays you can see more uh channels about different items right uh even like smaller total busible market like uh I don't know like travel shoes uh whatever right like olve items. Uh so yeah like arbitrage windows they sometimes pop up right they disappear also fast because people they don't need these videos every single day right like there is like really too uh repeatable and u uh you can see here right too repeatable and underd delivering so just simple [21:00] YouTube automational video with urgent packaging not even know storytelling or something uh beyond that. Good. Uh yeah, I'm going to skip it because uh it's been a long video already. So, niche selection and is ideation. Uh yeah, you probably know, right? Uh the same idea as uh I explained in many other videos previously. Uh it's taking already something uh that was working in the past and changing the [21:33] format, right? It can be from faced uh influencers right and you can package it faceless with like avatar uh whatever right nowadays it's working amazingly well it can be some you know like uh topics uh from years ago with different style right like you can see like white boards here um or or this one for example just like uh images also a white board uh right like typing or drawing whatever you can see here right like uh really black and white but interesting and yeah you just do it pretty straightforward for example in this way you take something that already had views right but you don't copy it one you add [22:27] something new right let's say it's AI avatar like with Nick invest uh it's like AI animation right like more uh Griffins packaging uh and in style, right? It can be also uh you know like with 3D whatever kind of 3D graphics. So you just implement you have the audience right for this because like the ideas they are proven to work and you want to spin it in your way so it gets uh you know like uh more unique and interesting rather than like copying uh even like thumbnail style [23:08] right like it doesn't make sense. Good. Uh so yeah the main idea you don't reinvent the wheel. So you don't shoot for you know like really random topics that uh like AI let's say suggests without any MCPS without any like YouTube uh understanding. AI just recommends you but if you go to YouTube you see like there are some flopped videos right that don't make sense to repeat at all. Uh and yeah, what's already uh was blowing up or what showed data your unique twist uh either it's like adding a avatar or style or uh you go for let's say a really good example of uh even uh Nick invest right like really [23:56] good example I would say the Ellis Invest channel right this is good so this one is shooting for another audience, right? Uh rather than Nick, it's not even you can see Griffin packaging. It has really decent uh ideation, right? Like okay, it started maybe uh as Nick invest, but eventually uh the channel found its unique audience with unique outliers. So you can see more minimalist, right? Like home related really good. So more female topics rather than men. It's a good idea. Not copying. I can't say copying uh but inspiration and attaching I would say like cross niche um transfer right something like that. [snorts] Good. Uh yeah and spot opportunity when [24:52] technology gets more and more advanced because uh there are many things right. So you can see here even um some niches as I don't really like because uh people like copying everybody right like the main problem in niches like this is like very low barrier to entry like ideiation is very straightforward you just change economics of owning a bank and economics of owning a uh you know like a offshore oil rig whatever so it's just very easy to copy right like AI can also do it [25:28] right even without YouTube validation. So just like a list of ideas uh that is like a football team whatever and just pump pump out videos um and when people watched let's say really good let's say it it's it's taken also from a big channel like Neo and economics channels and converted into the whole niche which is okay but you know like the second copycats the third copycats you know they pop up they don't do anything right um they really like you can see like all these channels look abandoned. It's and these ones even the channels I would say like in top 1%. Because like there are [26:09] so many copycats that didn't even get monetized or got like 100 100 subs. Um yeah so when it's like very straightforward when you don't need to include your like YouTube skills right your pattern recognition your like um uh even system asset. Uh so I would I can't say right to my team let's start a channel like this. uh it's more like you know shortterm idea because if you see this right it can't exist for like one year year without uh mod because with Nick invest at least we have like style right like the face the kind avatar right like the audience connection here you don't have anything to get attached [26:57] to right it's just like completely faceless videos with with no mod right with no any any you know competitive advantages as well like somebody can copy they can get more views they can get lower views whatever [snorts] so I hope it's clear uh yeah and sporting technology as I mentioned earlier right uh with a avatar this was basically right like with Nick and west uh was the beginning of um avatars I would say uh when technology didn't get uh photo realistic good face like we have right now right now we can uh generate people that look like people that talk to like people that are undistinguishable I would say [27:45] sometimes I can I can't understand whether it's a avatar or real uh talking head uh on the screen so yeah with Nick invest it was also like I said technological advance of image to video right like with um some bugs but still it looked good, right? Like the animation at the beginning was really good for eliminating uh crazy drop off from people if it was only AI images. So that's good. But nowadays, right, like you can see more and more opportunities open with like elder audience first of all, right? because old people uh they in majority they think it's it's a real human but next right like you will see [28:27] how many other like niches can be converted into AI right with uh new AI models popping up right with more like even like younger people uh so yeah like don't uh neglect of tech progress good um the main thing right like so what I explained between like this channel for Nick invest is that AI avatar builds connection. So it's like connection or like bridge of trust. Uh and people listen to the face that doesn't exist, right? So they understand, okay, Nick is a cartoon guy. So he doesn't exist as for example like maybe like Amish uh grandma, right? Whatever. So Nick is a avatar and still people uh they want [29:18] advice from somebody, right? Not from completely faces but even from a cartoon guy right I mean even for from Amish people or other avatars to elder from to elder audience right uh some people understand it's AI it's labeled as AI right um it looks like AI and still people want in our like nature advice or information from a person rather than from a machine right from completely faceless video. Let's say sometimes even I watch all these Instagram uh reals, you know, like with a Rabbi or like a Jewish guy or Arabian, let's say, like guy the stories are fine, right? I understand it's AI [30:06] avatar, but they just look good, right? Like it's captivating, it's interesting, and it's not AI slope, right? It's still okay. And uh you know, logically, I understand it's it's AI, right? Uh, somebody made it up. Um, but it's cool, right? Like it's still entertaining. Uh, it's good. And I have a student Danny who was producing a avatars even for Instagram. Here he is. Uh, he was producing a avatars for Instagram. He had like a page more than 1 mill followers on Instagram. But when I asked him how much he made uh from from Instagram, it was really pennies um with like more than one million followers. But now, yeah, he switched to [30:54] YouTube. He's killing it, right? He's on track to make like six figures per month with uh YouTube AI avatars. Basically, the difference is uh with two things like with AI avatars on Instagram in short form. uh it's good to take inspiration from right like usually uh first ideas sparkling there like even Amish spark there right because like it's faster to create uh like 60 seconds video or even 30 seconds video uh and upload on Instagram rather than create like a long form like 20 minutes like with all the footages matching with script with retention tactics with also thumbnail right but also this It helps to eliminate uh like low [31:42] barrier, right? Like all the guys who can who can't spend uh credits or money on long form video. So competition is less than in uh Instagram. And also conversion rate is better because people watching uh not like 30 seconds or 10 seconds Instagram real or Facebook uh short form. they watch on YouTube already like three minutes, five minutes, sometimes 10 minutes plus and it builds like really good raort that you can sell people whatever they you know want to buy or whatever they are [32:16] interested in. So that's like very very important and yeah just a few notes how to be safe with AI content. Um yeah first of all of course it's um uh the channel um as you can see here it's in managed CMS right so this is I would say like one of the most important things but uh it's not the main thing that can help you you know avoid any problems because still if your content is repeatable right like uh you have like one prompt and you make like hundreds of videos with the same prompt Uh the ideas uh for example here like same right the titles uh same also like [33:02] risky so there is no diversity uh it literally looks like a pattern right like a template that you uh just uh repeat on uh but overall right I would say the key point is audience satisfaction if people for example even these channels right they get hit with inauthentic if people unsatisfied so they report videos nowadays. Yeah, you can see more and more uh like feedback thing on YouTube when YouTube asks uh viewers how they think about this video if it's like too AI, right? Or it's like not not very satisfying. So, they can rank the video and more and more people um watch negatively about the video they [33:48] watched. The channel can drop, the channel can be demonetized and even terminated if people report videos. So it's not a good idea at all right because also human managers can look at the channel carefully if there are so many let's say negative feedback and it leads to to trouble so yeah these are important things to keep in mind and yeah just a few things uh I think this video is already like too long just a few things about additional revenue right when it comes to Nick Invest so or other channels really important uh to understand who your target audience is. If you see right my videos uh you can think that [34:31] okay like a PDF is like the end of the world right like I need to sell a PDF uh digital product for 17 bucks 46 47 or uh like the community uh whatever no right like you still need to need to understand like what can convert the best right for some people like a PDF okay to understand like home appliance or pests or cooking uh just to have you know structured information but when you can right like I definitely watch for reoccurring revenue streams right it can be less for example not 17 but it can be like let's say five or we have uh or school community right for uh 49 uh of [35:22] course like if you watch this video for example just as a disclaimer you don't need to buy uh unique invest community because in this video I'm sharing more what you can find there because that community is fully automated right it's more like uh understanding of basic financial advice for average uh I would say like um you know like western jaw um so you don't need to to to proceed and buy like what you can get for like 40 49 bucks but when you can right like think about additional monetization as the asset that can compound and B reoccurring. So it's a community or Patreon. Patreon for example works [36:02] amazingly for like emotional and I would say uh homophil effect communities. Uh I can share exactly what but it works really good for uh some channels let's say from even AI stories or more uh like community based. Uh you don't need of course like create content there or something you know like every day. But yeah, uh there are some things that I missed. I think yeah, uh important to [36:31] understand what your audience is, right? Like their age, their profile, what they interested in buying because your video is more like a lead magnet that can spark more interest from people and they can think, okay, I maybe check out like what this guy has on on the channel, what he offers, right? like the video was really good so I just need more information and it all acts like a funnel right so your video then your product it can be cheap and it can be like a trip wire right like everything like less than I would say 100 bucks is a trip wire which is the beginning also of your cycle [37:15] right of your LCV with your lead um it's something more from yeah like business structure not really YouTube related you can check um online. But yeah, all upselles make usually more uh money than front end than your like digital product than your community. So if people already watched with their dollar, uh if you already like qualified and wetted them as paying customers, uh you can offer on the background something extra, right? because it's the business you want to um extend your LTV right lifetime revenue of a of a of a customer that's coming from your fastest video but yeah I don't want to make this tutorial as [38:04] the business education whatever so it should be more YouTube related so I hope you understand everything about the strategies about the mistakes uh yeah really really I think u good video you can reach out to me only on Twitter If you have any questions, if you want to work with us, if you have something to [38:27] share, yeah, only Twitter, nothing else.
