Six views, nine views, 11 views, 13 views, 19. The highest view was 23 views. But, the moment I discovered this particular settings and I decided to turn it off to see exactly what is going to change on my channel. You can see the next video I uploaded after turning off that particular settings got 598 views. See [0:33] the difference? 598 views to 23 views. Now, the video I uploaded after that got 1.1 K views. And the video I uploaded two days ago already has 4.8 K views. Now, let me show you the video performance. You can see this video is ranking one over 10. Meaning that this video is the first viral video I am getting on this channel just because I turned off this settings. Now, 99% of creators, especially new creators, have this particular settings turn on. And a lot of people don't know that this particular settings is limiting their reach and hindering their videos from [1:07] getting the views it's supposed to get. Now, this particular settings is turned on on this channel you're watching me from and it is working for me. But then, I turn on this setting on my brand new channel, but it was not working, but rather it was limiting the reach, it was limiting my views until I turn it off. So, in this video I'm going to be sharing with us these settings you must run to your YouTube Studio right now to turn off, especially if you have less than 1,000 subscribers. And I'm also going to share with us why this settings is working on this particular channel [1:38] you're watching me from and why it is not working on my brand new channel. So, that is to tell you that it is not all settings that you must turn on, especially if you have less than 1,000 subscribers. And I'm going to explain that in this video. But, before we head into that, if you're seeing this face for the very first time, my name is Bookie. And on this channel I share tips that can help you grow very very fast on YouTube. And with that being said, let's just head straight into the main video. Let's go. Now to turn on these settings, you need to go to your YouTube Studio the desktop site. So head over to your Chrome browser and type YouTube Studio desktop site. Okay? Now if you don't know how to use your phone, just long press on this YouTube Studio, click on open a new tab. Now click on that particular icon and then you're [2:34] going to see YouTube Studio. All right? Now click on continue to Studio and it is going to log you in into your YouTube Studio desktop site. Okay? Now we're going to be starting with the top settings you must check on your YouTube Studio. So now click on the settings icon and now you're going to see this interface. Okay? So now you want to click or let me zoom this closer so that I can see properly. Now you want to click on upload default. Now once you click on upload default, go to advanced settings. Advanced settings under upload default. Now the third settings you can see on this [3:10] channel, see? Take a look at the category, none. So if you are uploading videos on your channel, especially if you're a new channel or you are less than 1,000 subscribers and you don't have a particular category, it is going to affect your channel. Okay? Because YouTube will be pushing your videos randomly. Do you get? So this particular settings is very very important. Now take a look at this channel. This channel does not [3:36] have any category. It is showing none. So if [clears throat] your if your category is none or you're choosing the wrong category, it is also going to limit and affect your video views. Now for example, you are doing vlogging on your channel and you are choosing sports or you are choosing how to style, or you are choosing education, those videos are not going to get good views because YouTube will be pushing your vlogs to people that watch educational content, sports content, and definitely they are not going to click, which is going to [4:06] mean that you're not going to get views. Okay, so now for you to be able to choose the right category, especially if you're not sure of the category to choose for your niche, I'm just going to show us quickly on how you can choose the perfect category for your niche. Now, let's go. So now, head over to YouTube. Once you head over to YouTube, spot out creators that are doing exactly what you're doing. If you're doing vlogging, I'm sure you would have seen, you know, bigger creators in that particular niche. Whatever niche, just spot out the [4:34] bigger creators in those niche, right? So I'm just going to be using vidIQ because vidIQ also teaches about YouTube, okay? So now, once you spot out the channel, click on view channel. Once you click on view channel, click on that three dots you can see at the top. Now, once you click on it, click on share, and then click on copy link, okay? Now, once you copy the link, you are going to minimize YouTube, come to Safari, and then you're going to type MW metadata, this exact thing, okay? So you're going to open it. Now, once it loads up, you're going to see the interface like this. The next thing you [5:10] want to do is wipe out this link you can see there. Wipe it out, then you are going to paste the exact link that you copied from YouTube, okay? Now, once you paste it there, just click submit. Now, once you click on submit, it's going to bring out the right category that that creator is using. So just scroll down. Scroll down a bit, and then you're going you can see this is category ID. So vidIQ is using education for his own channel. So this also works for me as well because that's exactly what I'm doing. This is the easiest way you can know the exact category to choose. So [5:43] once you see it like this, just go back to YouTube, and then click on the exact category and save it, okay? Now, let's head over to the second settings you need to check before uploading your next video. Now, right still on that settings, click on channel, okay? Please, do not skip out on any part. All these settings are very, very important, [6:04] else it will keep limiting your views. You will keep uploading videos and you will not be getting good views. Now, click on channel, okay? Now, the second settings is your channel keyword. You want to make sure that you have the necessary keywords that is expected [clears throat] to make your channel rank because if you leave this place blank, or you use the keywords that are not even related to what you're doing, it is going to also limit your reach because you need the YouTube algorithm to understand what your channel is all about, what you do on your channel, the necessary keywords that is supposed to make that video go far, to make it push [6:39] that video to the right audience. Do you understand? So, if these things are missing, if your keywords are not complete, or they don't carry the necessary keywords it's supposed to carry, it is also going to limit your video views, okay? Now, if you don't know how to get the necessary and the important keywords that you need for your channel, please do well to watch this video. I shared a detailed tutorial on how you can get the most important keywords that can help your channel go far and also increase your video views, [7:10] okay? So, this is very, very important. If you're not sure of the keywords that is currently on your channel, please go and check it out. Watch this video and implement exactly. I'm sure you should see changes. Now, let's head over to the first settings, which is the major settings that was affecting my new channel video views. You will be so, so surprised that this particular settings can kill channel views, okay? Now, I'm going to be using one of my videos for the for this example to show you this particular settings because this settings needs to be turned on or off when you're uploading your videos. So, [7:43] after you've uploaded your videos, you can't turn it off again in case you've turned it on. Now, let's use this video, okay? So, once you come to this interface, just click on show more and scroll down. Okay, keep scrolling down. Scroll down a bit until you get to this particular settings that you can see under allow embedding, okay? Now, you can see that I can't toggle it on because it looks faint. That is because I have toggled it on I have turned it on while I was trying to upload video. Do you understand? You can see this is the settings. Publish to subscription feed and notify subscribers. See, if you [8:19] don't have up to 1,000 subscribers or if you have 1,000 subscribers and you are sure that those 1,000 subscribers did not come from your original videos, do not turn on this settings. Especially if you get your if you got your 1,000 subscribers from collab, you know, you got it from other sources not directly from your videos. That means the subscribers that you got did not subscribe to your channel because they love what you do in your niche. Please do not turn on this settings because if you turn on this settings and YouTube notifies those subscribers that you've uploaded a new video and they don't end up clicking to watch, it is going to [8:56] affect the reach of that video. YouTube is not going to recommend that video again because it expects that since YouTube has notified your subscribers that you already have a brand new video, of course, YouTube will be expecting them to watch the video. So, if they don't watch, it is killing the views and YouTube will also suppress how it's you know, distribute the video. That is why you're going to see that your impression will keep going down, okay? So, please make sure that you don't turn on this feature except maybe you have loyal audience, you understand? And that is why this particular settings is working on my own channel because I have [9:31] audience that have subscribed to my channel because of my videos. So, whenever I turn on this settings and I upload a brand new video, they are definitely going to watch the new video. So, that is why it is working for me on this channel, but it is not working on my brand new channel because I'm yet to build loyal audience. I'm yet to build audience that love what I do on my brand new channel, okay? So, you see, if you don't have loyal audience yet, please go and turn off these settings until you build loyal audience, until you build audience that will keep coming back to [10:01] watch your videos, then you can turn these settings on. All right. So, if you find this video very helpful, don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and I'm going to see you in my next one.
