# I Tested Adobe's Official Connector In Claude Channel: Aidan Stanik Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTS-IWB3MKY Duration: 15 min Language: English Words: 3156 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/QTS-IWB3MKY --- [0:00] It's a huge day for people that use Adobe because you can now connect Claude to the Adobe Creative Cloud workspace. Today, I'm going to walk you through how you can set it up in your Claude desktop app. As you can see, in Claude, you can use its native models like Sonnet and Opus to create lighting techniques or even Instagram stories for your brand or someone else's brand. The barrier of entry of learning Adobe software just in general, which I believe this is Adobe Express, is much lower. And now you essentially have an all-in-one tutor or assistant to help you build out your creative projects. You can also build [0:34] skills and automations with this. So, let's jump straight into it. So, we're going to start in the Claude desktop app. As you can see, I have the desktop app downloaded right here. All you have to do is go to Claude desktop download, download it for your operating system, sign in with your Claude account, and then you'll be set. Once you're in the actual Claude desktop app, you will see an interface just like this. And how we navigate to connect Adobe to Claude desktop is through the connectors directory. So, click on this button up here in the left corner, it'll bring up this page for you. We're going to click [1:06] customize and then click connectors. In connectors, you can see I have some of my desktop connectors, which is Blender, Claude and Chrome, Hicksfield, and all the bunch on this account. This is just a personal account that I use sometimes. So, how we connect the actual Adobe creativity plugin or connector to Claude is we click this plus button up here and then browse connectors. You can see there is a ton of different connectors that you can connect in the Claude desktop app, and there's even more that you can connect if you're using an IDE like VS Code, which is what I use. But, all we have to do is search for Adobe, [1:38] and we'll find a few. There's the Adobe Marketing Agent, there's the Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Manager, and then Adobe for Creativity. The one that we want is Adobe for Creativity. So, click on that and you'll see this is where we can edit and transform images inside of the Adobe environment, create and animate assets, and then search, organize, and summarize inside of your Adobe Creative Cloud. I will say you do need to have an Adobe [2:00] account before you even connect this. So, if you are already running Premiere Pro or After Effects, or you're on the Creative Cloud, this will work, but you do need to have an account. So, how we connect this is we click the connect button in the top right corner here, and then that's going to shoot you over to a new page in your browser to connect Claude to Adobe. And so, this is where you need to sign in with your Adobe account. I'm just going to use my personal account that I use for all of my creative projects. Let me just sign in quick. And so, it gives you a little [2:27] bit of verification. So, Claude is requesting our consent. Uh, me myself with my email to sign in, upload files to Adobe, view, edit, manage files stored with Adobe, and then maintain access to your data that we consented to. So, obviously I'm going to allow access so we can connect this. And now we're connected. So, let's go back to the desktop app. And as we can see, we are connected. We can disconnect up here. And the great thing about connecting tools to Claude is you have a lot of flexibility in the actual security of what Claude can see, what Claude can edit. If we scroll down, I [2:58] believe it's 59, um, according to the Adobe actions that Adobe can do for you in the Adobe for Creativity connector. So, that's add a file, preview file, search. This is kind of like a very basic Google MCP where you can search your Google Drive files, organize your Google Drive, create docs, forms, sheets, but this is for Adobe instead. So, this is not like world-breaking innovation, but now we do have that connection with Claude. And if you natively use Claude like I do, I can now create skills, automations, and build workflows using my Claude account. So, it's just a great tool to have integrated within your Adobe ecosystem. So, I'm changing these [3:36] all to always allow, um, because I don't want to be sitting and waiting for approval. So, say I walk away and Adobe needs approval or Claude needs approval to do a task, and I'm gone for a while, I don't want to come back and be stuck at that same point. It just speeds up the process. A lot of these actions are [3:55] not detrimental to your Adobe account. It's very simple stuff. Now that these are all on only allow, we can see that in our web connectors, we have Adobe for Creativity. Let's go back into our Claude chat box, start a new chat, and we can start building up some examples. So, there's three ways you can work [4:12] inside of the Claude desktop app. There's chat, co-work, and code. I always use code because I like working inside of a folder. Co-work is also another great tool. It's like the precursor to code. I primarily use an IDE like VS Code and then connect Claude inside of that IDE just because I like seeing my all my folders organized in one place. This is essentially an IDE, but cleaned up, much more user and beginner-friendly. So, let's start in Claude code inside of our Claude desktop app. So, what we need to do is firstly open up a folder. So, select a folder and open a folder. I'm going to navigate [4:45] to my projects, my YouTube projects, and create a new folder called Adobe. Once that is created, we know that it's connected when we see the Adobe folder pop up. I'm going to be working in my local environment. And then for accept edits, I'm going to turn it to bypass permissions. Again, I don't want to be waiting for permissions because a lot of these tasks are pretty minimal. And then for my model, I'll use Opus 4.7 extra high, um, just to just for this workflow. So, to give you guys some examples to start playing around with this Adobe Creativity tool, start off with a photo one. And so, how you call [5:19] or create a skill, there's a few ways. So, for that first way to create a skill is the skill creator that's natively installed inside of your Claude account when you first open it up. And the skill creator is essentially is you run the {slash} skill creator, and then it will run through with the user or you what you want to do to create your skill, and then that's where you can add all of your plugins. So, you can add in, okay, I want to edit this photo and I want to increase the lighting, but I want this to run for different types of variations. I want an output that's 16 [5:49] by 9 for one image, and then I need an Instagram ad that's 1 by 1. You run that {slash} skill creator skill, and then you implement all of your tools. This is the cool thing about Claude. You have so much versatility and flexibility when creating these skills. Yes, it does take some time in the beginning to create it, but then when you do have it, it's just there sitting in the background whenever you want to use it. So, it saves you that time. And you can get really, really in-depth with these skills. You can make really long automations. You can host them on the web where they run [6:17] 24/7. Obviously, for a photo upload, that doesn't need to be hosted autonomously on the web through something like Modal or Trigger.dev. So, if we go back into our Claude workspace and we type in {slash} skill creator, it's that first one that pops up at the top there, press enter. And then now we have the skill creator call. It's highlighted in blue, as you can see, and then we can drop in a prompt, whatever we want. We can add all of our tools, API keys, everything inside of this chat to create our skill. The first thing I want to show you is something that I do in Adobe with a lot of photos. I'm going [6:49] to drop in this prompt here. So, I wanted to create a skill called product photo prep using the skill creator skill, which also, if I didn't call this skill creator and I just dropped in this prompt, skill creator skill mentioned, you know, create skill for me, it will recognize that and still call the skill [7:03] creator skill. So, that's pretty cool. The skill should trigger when user uploads one or more photos and ask them and ask to clean them up for e-commerce or Etsy or Amazon or social media. So, this is good for people who run social media businesses or promote their products through social media. This is just a tool to help clean up your photos. Again, this is a very basic workflow in Adobe. You could definitely do this inside of Adobe, but now with the intersection of Claude, you can essentially pull pull all of your tools into one space and build up these really nice automations that speed up your [7:33] workflow throughout your work day. So, the first step is to ask the user which platform aspect aspect ratio they want. The second step is for each image, remove the background, apply auto tone, and then smart crop the chosen ratio. And for the third step, preview each result and ask if they want adjustments before finalizing. So, inputs are image files from the uploads folder. So, you just got to upload an image, and then the output goes to this output, which I'm going to change to somewhere on my computer. I'm going to store it in this project folder. This is why I love working inside of Claude code or [8:05] co-work. You can store a folder where you can have all of your outputs, all of your image outputs, video outputs, your code if you're downloading stuff from GitHub, if you're cloning repos. Say you want to Say you want to clone Playwright and use that inside of your project, you can save that inside of your actual project folder. If you're curious how we save the file path, just create a new folder in your working directory, the project folder that's connected to your [8:28] Claude, and then just name it outputs. And then we're going to right click on the folder and then click option on your keyboard. I'm working on Mac. And then And then click copy outputs as path name. And then just replace this file path with that pasted output. So, users, agent static, projects, YouTube projects, Adobe, outputs. So, all the outputs will go there. That's in our project folder. So, we can always reference those as well. Now, finally, now use Adobe for Creativity for connector tools. This is just like instant calls from the actual Adobe for Creativity connector. So, image image remove background, apply image auto tone, image crop and resize. It will [9:09] It will use more of those if it needs to, and it has all of those stored in the back of its of its memory, but I want it to specifically use these pretty much every single time. So, if I shoot this off, it will start building up our skill for us. Okay, so it's saying it's going to create our product photo prep skill. The spec is detailed enough that I can write a solid draft directly. Um, it's just asking me, are we going to allow Claude to write the skill? Yes, always allow. Let's write this, and then we can prompt it and start iterating on top of it. Okay, so the skill is [9:38] written, um, and it saved to my dot Claude skills, which is my global, um, Claude account. I don't want it on every single one of my Claude accounts. I can if I want, but I'm going to move it to dot Claude skills in this Adobe project. Uh, and just some things. So, just a quick description, the required [9:56] init. Um, so Adobe mandatory in it. So, you have to run {slash} in it, which it will do for us. And then the order step rationale explain why it's a background remover. And then two notes for the project setup. We don't have an uploads folder yet, and it's saying the default uploads folder doesn't exist yet, but it recommends we might want an MKDIR uploads. So, all I'm going to do is just say, [10:21] "Can you create the MKDIR uploads?" Asking if I want to test it. So, just I dropped four mugs into the uploads folder. Prep them for my Etsy shop. So, yeah, give me some test prompts that I can use. So, I just shot this off. It's going to create that folder for me so we can upload photos, and then it will move the skill into the into this local folder. I don't want it globally, and then it's going to give me some test prompts that we can test so I can show you guys how easy this is now to just edit your [10:52] photos. Okay, so uploads is created. Outputs Outputs is still the same that I already created, and then the cloud skills have been moved inside of my project folder, and I can check right here. If I go into my files, we have uploads, and then we have outputs. So, perfect. It's giving me some three test prompts. So, say I own a mug business, [11:11] like coffee mug business. I dropped a few mug photos in the uploads folder. Can you clean them up for my Etsy shop? Let's go find three mug photos because I personally do not have a business with a product. So, I need to go find some photos. So, I want to find a mug that has not a transparent background. So, we're going to save this image into our Adobe folder. So, if we navigate to our Adobe folder, [11:37] we can drop that into our uploads. So, we'll just name this mug one, save that, and then we'll save this as mug two. And then we will head back to Claude. So, it also gave me some other specific example prompts. So, here's our Amazon specific one. I got two product shots in upload. I need them Amazon ready. I I have eight candles in uploads, prep them for my online store. And so, if you have an online store online store or an Amazon store or an Etsy store, and you have a specific branding style, you can upload your branding inside of this project and train the skill on top of [12:13] that branding. Takes some iteration, but you can actually get outputs that match your exact brand. I don't have that, so I'm just I'm just strictly showing you how you can create the skill, and then how you can prompt it. I'm very simple examples, but you do have that option as well. So, to prompt that Etsy one, I'm going to type in {slash} and then product {slash} photo prep, which is the top one right here. And then I will copy this prompt. Again, you can prompt it however you want, but I'm just using the example that Claude's giving us just to save us [12:44] some time. And I'm going to shoot that off, and it's going to start building for us. Okay, so it found the two mug photos that I put in the uploads. Before we start, it's going to ask us some questions, and I purposely did this because each iteration might be different. Each product photo might be different. I might need a landing page one that's 16 by 9. I might need an Instagram post that's 1 by 1. So, I Etsy's primary image listing square is 1 by 1. We're going to go with 1 by 1. So, [13:07] for one, let's just do 1 by 1. And then for two, so for the background, I want it to remove the background, add a simple graphic in let's say earthy tones, nothing too dramatic. Okay, so now it's asking me what I want for the background. Do we want a solid earthy color, soft texture? Let's do a soft texture. I want to see how that does. So, we'll say soft texture, shoot that off, and see how it does. And then again, it's going to run the in it Adobe. So, it has a fresh knowledge base of what's actually being created, what we're actually doing in the session for Adobe to create our [13:49] images. Okay, and again, it was very simple. Like just remove the background, added a beige beige background to each of the mugs. I'm noticing that like the second mug is way smaller. This might be just because I took images from the internet, and the distance from the camera to the mugs might be different. But honestly, you [14:11] can do this in Canva in like 10 seconds. But again, this is not this is not like the most intensive workflow. This is just to show you that it actually works, and you can use AI to do this stuff now. And so, there you have it. Again, this tutorial was to show you how to actually set up the connection with Adobe and Claude. It was not to go super in-depth into the actual functionalities of it. I I plan to make a ton of videos on the actual possibilities of it, like creating presentations or ads or running campaigns with your brand. There's so many different possibilities with it, [14:42] and I will continue to make videos on it. So, I highly recommend to drop some ideas in the comments what you would like to see. I'm happy to cover it in my future videos. If you like AI content like this, feel free to follow. I post weekly on the creative AI side of things, how you can speed up your creative workflow using AI tools like Claude and saving skills, building automations. And so, with that, feel free to subscribe. It means the world to me.
