# I made my SaaS ready for AI agents (in San Francisco) Channel: Marc Lou Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxW4EShS8qM Duration: 16 min Language: English Words: 2314 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/GxW4EShS8qM --- [0:07] I'm just coming back from Stripe session in American people. So yeah, sure thing. Wow. We're very happy to have you as a customer. [screaming] [0:20] Stripe is a massive company and yet they care about little people. [0:34] [music and singing] We just landed in America in San Francisco for the first time ever. We're here for Stripe conference. It's like a big keynote for developers and stuff and they paid for this entire trip which is insane. Very nice hotel room. Feel like I don't deserve this but you know, here we are. It's going to be fun. I'm going [0:51] to bring you with me at the conference. You're going to see everything they're going to reveal. And let's go. [0:59] [music] Wow. On the way to go Stripe. Hey, good friend here. In case you would have missed the Stripe logo on the the building. [music] Good morning and welcome to Stripe Sessions. Solo developers, you all are ensuring that the new miracles of science and technology actually deployed in the real world in 5 million [1:26] businesses around the world. [music] From [singing] 50 and we already mentioned this to 160. [music] [1:40] [music] [1:46] You're still like building stuff. You're still like tinkering. I design like all my apps like again and again. [music] Oh, we have to go upstairs. [2:05] [music] [2:12] Oh, I like it. Three most important things. Don't look at the cameras. Start off with what's exciting in sessions. Let us know when you're ready. Cheers to Stripe and Mark and thank you for coming. This is awesome. Thanks for inviting me. Wow, it's my first sip of alcohol in 5 years. That's non-alcoholic for you. We did it just for Just for It's [2:38] wonderful. Wow. [music] [2:48] Thanks for being here. This has been super fun to get to know in real life. Thanks for traveling all the way here. It's awesome. Thanks for having me. [music] I love the table. What's your name? [3:09] All right, so just coming back from Stripe session. It was way bigger than I expected. I think there were around 8,000 people, which is insane. And there are two things that they announced that I'm very excited about. Number one is this like MPP thing where you give agents a wallet using Link. That means that your agents can go online and buy stuff for you. But it also means that your customers can use their agent to come and buy your SaaS using this MPP protocol. I think we're still pretty early, but it's going to be very exciting when, you know, the entire onboarding of our software will be made [3:44] for agents and not for humans. And number two, and I think this is going to be really fun. I'm super excited to announce the new Stripe Treasury. It's basically like Wise, like a bank inside of Stripe, which means whenever you get money on Stripe, you can use and spend this money without having to rely on a bank and send payouts. Feels like a logic part of Stripe, but that's super exciting. One thing that's really, really amazed me, Stripe is a massive company and yet they care about little [4:12] people like me and other Indie Hackers. They flew us in, they paid for the hotel, they paid for the flight. It's just crazy. Like regular people would pay a thousand dollars to get into the conference. It's free for us. They invite us to dinners and stuff with a bunch of other really amazing Indie Hackers. It's rare that a big company like this does not turn into [ __ ] They really care about us, they really care about the little people and that makes me very comfortable. And if something wrong happens, you can tag them on Stripe and then some real humans are going to, you know, check out your [4:41] situation and help you out and I think this is a really, really amazing company. I know that sounds like, you know, this could be a promotional video or whatever, but this is like, you know, this is I I receive like tons of startup offering partnerships and I always decline cuz I don't want to promote things I don't use, but Stripe, I've been using Stripe for 10 years now. It's [4:58] really amazing. Now it is time to go with a wife and drink a little bit of San Francisco. [5:13] [music] [5:40] [music] We're going to all going to have to make 20 squats just because we've been standing for, you know, still for 2 hours. Okay. All right. Now a fitness guru. I don't want to rip my pants, though. [music] That was his idea, by the way. This last one. [music] [6:09] [music] Don't you dare give up. Yesterday was one of the craziest meetups with over 100 people that are startup founders in San Francisco. And by the way, I realized that there are also startup founders in San Francisco who did not raise VC money. And for some reason, we're also all profitable. So, that's you know, something to meditate. But anyway, we're over 100 people at the meetup. And someone said that we should do squats. So, we ended up doing 20 squats, like 100 people doing 20 squats [6:34] at the same time. What a meetup. What a meetup. I think I've met four more people in the last 3 days than I did in the last 3 months. It was amazing. But I feel like I also need to log the [ __ ] other moment. So, I am going to work back again on Data Fast CRM and a new little SaaS that I'm [6:51] shipping. Stay tuned. [7:02] [music] Just set up the new pricing for my SaaS. We're going to be live in just a few days. So, today is Mark's day [music] off. And then we prepared a special trip. We are about to achieve Mark's dream here, which is 1 2 3. Ta-da! We rented this car. It's like the only physical stuff. Still, [7:31] everything is happening here. You can lock the car, choose AC. We're going to drive this to Muir Woods, the best thing to do in San Francisco, and have a nice little date. Let's go. I never cared about cars until recently when they started to build like electrical stuff and then it becomes software. It's not a car, it's a software. I just realized how big the [7:49] car is now. [laughter] What the hell? IT'S SO BIG. [laughter] THEY'RE HURTING. IT'S DRIVING IT I'M NOT DRIVING I'M NOT DRIVING I'm not driving. Oh the [ __ ] holy [ __ ] holy [ __ ] I'm very intimidating and scared and and excited at the same time. It does a really weird feeling. [8:10] It's fast and silent at the same time. It feels like it's dystopic almost like it shouldn't exist, you know? I'm still scared of the road. [music] This is the American dream here. The American dream, bro. We drove around 20 miles, which is like I think 30 or 40 km. [music] I haven't touched the wheels at all. I [8:38] still don't know how to drive the car. All I did is that took took it off from the parking. It's crazy. [music] [8:57] [music] [9:12] [music] [9:17] It was a crazy day with this beast. Welcome to the future. After you, my lady. [9:25] You farted. I had. Maybe I should activate the the fart mode whenever someone sits for the next people getting the car. I'll me check last minute. [9:43] You're going to meet the people who who make our website deliver to our customers. Um so yeah, so we'll go ahead and check in with Anna. [10:06] [music] I thought it would be just a casual chat and it's it's a good short time in here. AJ, you got audio for microphones? Um no, did people see this yet? I always get anxiety when I share share my chat GPT and my Yeah. It's going to be inside of Yeah, [laughter] yeah, yeah. It's like sharing your Instagram feed [10:25] sometimes. Okay, let me know when it's [music] go live. If you've spent any time on the X platform, the everything app, I'm sure you've come across many times [music] the one and only Mark Lou. Welcome to the show. Nice to meet you, the team. Thank you for being here. You've been part of this community of people that should we call it building public Indie [10:43] Makers? There's no real name, solopreneurs, Indie [music] Hackers, building public community, whatever. I started making startups on the internet like 4 or 5 years ago and I'm still doing it. I'm [music] still doing the exact same thing. [11:02] So also for Divert Sell team, I've seen Mark [music] Lou do this teardowns of landing pages. Like he's like, "This button too distracting, get rid of it." Like the call to action not clear enough. Like so tell us about like that process of how you think about a landing page and how you think about the conversion and measuring whether it [11:17] works and how data passes helping you. I can spend almost as much time working on the landing page as I do working on the product at the beginning. I try to make a revenue prediction metrics based on, you know, bunch of like greater like people from United States using iOS devices. So I make um a mini version of my idea first with a paywall. Uh if people like it, then I keep working on it. This might be my first project ever that I work with someone that I really like, Jeff Ricks. A good guy working on a very good guy, very good person to chat with [11:42] on Twitter. Well, uh this has been an an amazing session. The team here has amazing feedback and comments. We're very happy to have you as a customer and uh a part of our community. Keep us posted of your products, your feedback, and uh we'll keep making great products for you. Thank you. Thank you, Mark. And great mustache, by the way. By the way, also for the teams who are now tomorrow, we're going to have a fitness day, Mark and I. We're going to run until one of us passes out. You can body with your [12:05] How cute. Verso. [12:13] 1 2 3 up. [music] We are leaving San Francisco. How was San Francisco for you? Well, you take me out of the room like this, it was nice. This is how it feels when you don't do marketing. This is how it feels when you do marketing. Oh, no. Don't go away. Where are you going to? [12:30] Korea. [music] They have to take the funnels for the data vest. Look, you're going to see the funnels in the ceiling. You know what it means? No. It's better if you don't think of it. Let's go. You can build those funnels in the air. [music] [12:53] [music] You remember the funnels? They are the thing we have on the data vest. It's the same, but in a different user interface. It's boring for people who are not developers. It's cool because then it gives developers or AI the power to use this. So, basically, you can ask your AI, such as ChatGPT, to tell you, you know, what is your funnel results for your marketing campaigns or [13:15] whatever. [music] We just had lunch, and time to do both, as always. [music] We get together. We are in Korea. Jim Chut London [13:38] [music] She just said this is Japanese. I'm really disappointed. [music] [13:51] Here we go. Introducing the DataFast CLI. It's basically like a little command line that once installed, user can log in via the terminal and do all sorts of stuff. I can do basically anything that is possible on my DataFast dashboard. There are commands to get analytics data as well on the terminal. Let's say people who visited from the United States and are using a mobile device. And then I'm going to see a little table where I can see all the referrers, how much visitors they brought, and how much revenue they generated. The reason I'm doing this is because I am trying to make all of my [14:22] SaaS actually, not just DataFast, AI agent friendly. I can see in my analytics there's a lot of agents, a lot of more things that are done by AI themselves. I can ask my AI agents on Cursor to use the CLI to tell me how much visitors and revenue I got from my website in the last 30 days. So that might sound a little basic, but then I can do more complex queries like saying like how many new customer in the last 30 days and how many churned. And among the churned customers, try to find patterns. And so here what it does is basically using the DataFast CLI to [14:50] connect all those data points that it picks from the DataFast and then it's going to give me a simple overview of what's going on. So I can see I have 86 new customers, 96 churn customer, and net minus 10 customers for DataFast, which is not good. So I hope, you know, bringing this AI agent thing to DataFast will make it different. While I shipped the CLI, I'm also working on something where DataFast is now collecting new events from payment providers. And so basically DataFast is reconstructing the entire Stripe subscription life cycle inside the database so that you can get better insights on who is generating revenue for your software business and [15:26] who is not. I still have a long way to go and this is probably the last update on Data Fast for now. Till the next one, I hope to keep shipping.
