# The 1-Hour SEO Update That Makes Your Best Pages Rank for More Keywords Channel: Edward Sturm Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmsAuotHGso Duration: 8 min Language: English Words: 1639 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/GmsAuotHGso --- [0:00] super easy thing you can do in the next hour to get way more from your SEO. And honestly, you probably already know that you should do this, but forgot or just you've been putting it off. I spent the last couple of hours doing this myself. It's 16 steps, but you can actually get it done in an hour. Number one, go to Google Search Console. If you're new to SEO, Google Search Console shows you how your site is performing in Google. Shows you what you rank for, your top pages, problems with your site, click-through [0:26] rate, impressions, the amazing data. I've been talking about it a lot on the show. Number two, see your most visited pages. Just click on full report, then next to queries, click on pages. It'll automatically be sorted by most clicks. Number three, look through your most clicked pages and figure out a page that you would like to update. Just decide a page that you think you would like to [0:48] update. Number four, click on that page. When you click on that page, you're going to see everything that it is ranking for. There will be a big export button in the top right corner. Click export and down- load the CSV. Number five, we're going to Claude now. Claude is great for handling a lot of data. [1:05] Number six is paste in your article. Just copy everything in your article, paste it into Claude, attach your ranking queries, the CSV that you just got from Google Search Console, and use this prompt. Say, "I'm attaching my article and a CSV of Google Search Console queries it currently ranks for. Analyze the queries against the article's existing content, identify keyword clusters with meaningful impressions that aren't well covered in the article, and suggest new H2 sections to add so the article can rank for more of the queries it's already partially matching." All right, now you see where [1:39] I'm getting with this. Very exciting. Number seven is Claude will give you a bunch of suggestions. Say, "Okay, give me the first H2 to add and tell me where to insert it. Don't write the rest of the content yet." If you're satisfied, number eight, have it write the rest of the content. The reason that you are breaking this into multiple steps is because the rest of the content will be [2:01] contextual for where the H2 is placed. Number nine is you're going to have to rewrite its output. And so I like I said, I've been doing this for the last couple of hours and the output will genuinely need work. Some common problems that I was fixing is just if it's giving strategic advice, that strategic advice is not going to be great. You're the expert, that's why you [2:23] wrote the content in the first place. You're going to have to fix its advice. The content will probably sound a lot like AI. If you want to know how to humanize chat GPT content or AI content, I have this video that people are still loving even though I made it a year ago, how to humanize chat GPT content episode 675 of this podcast. Honestly, the only update that I would make to that video is now the word actually is used all over the place with AI. So cut the word actually in 90% of situations. That's going to be the biggest thing and then everything in that video is going to be [2:57] it's going to be very helpful. You'll also find that AI content is overly verbose. Just putting in way more words than it needs to say a very simple concept. I'm always trying to shorten copy that was made with AI. Trying to make it more concise. And then the last thing that I was fixing is a lot of AI content will not be confident. For example, AI will use can help instead of this will. This can help your SEO, but it's way better to write this will help your SEO. You want your writing to be confident and you want your readers to feel that you are confident in the [3:35] advice. That's going to make them want to read more. That's going to make them feel like this is worthwhile. All right, number 10 is just do this and add two to three sections to your content. Repeat this process and add two to three sections for your content. And then number 11, we're going to boost some pages now on your site that you want to get more out of your SEO with. So, this existing page that you've just been working on, it's ranking, and because it's ranking and getting clicks, it's generating its own authority. I just talked about this on a recent podcast episode 1,100 of the show, the SEO [4:08] colony hack that ranks money pages without backlinks. If you want to learn more, great episode. But, now figure out articles on your site that you want to boost with an internal link to pass some of this page's authority, your existing page's authority. You're passing it with an internal link to other pages on your site that you want to boost. So, do this. Number 12, start a new chat, and then give this new chat your full updated article. Copy and paste everything. Use the prompt, this is my [4:38] page, just confirm you received it. Number 13 is then copy and paste the page that you want to boost. And you can say the context for how you want to boost this page yourself. When I was doing this myself, I literally was just using speech to text and rambling a bit, and that got the job done. Or, you can use this prompt. This is the page I want to boost. Find the most natural place in the first article to add an internal link to it. Give me only where to add it, the sentence or H2 section to insert, and the anchor text. Keep it concise and in my voice. If there is [5:15] nothing in your your first page, the high-ranking page, that is related to the page that you want to link to, the page that you want to boost, you will want to do a short H2 section to increase the relevance of the internal link. The [clears throat] added context increases the topical relevance of this internal link, which makes it feel more natural to readers, and makes the link more valuable to the page that you are boosting. Number 14 is reread the introduction for your first article, the one that you just updated a ton, because you might want to update the introduction to reflect all the changes that you just made. Then number 15, [5:53] we're almost done now, is update your date published because you literally just added a substantial update to this content. Then number 16 is submit the content in the inspect bar within Google Search Console. Do it there and request indexing. And that's it. Really easy, you can do that super fast, makes pages that are already doing well do even better and then boost existing pages which you also want to do well. And it can bridge topical relevance as well if you have a page that you're trying to make do well but it's not completely related to what your site is already ranking for. Super cool thing, it's a [6:31] part of SEO site maintenance but it's also really fun and easy and gets you more traffic, makes you more money. We like doing this stuff. It's cool over here. If you want to get my full method of SEO where I show you how to find keywords that have high intent behind them where people are literally looking for what your brand sells but they don't know your brand exists but they want what you are offering. And if they just knew that your brand existed, that would be and you were just in front of them at this time, they would convert or they would make a discovery call at least but [7:02] they don't know that your brand exists. And if you want to find these keywords and put up conversion based SEO landing pages for these keywords which are short, you don't have to spend a lot of time on them like long blog posts, they're super high converting again because the intent is there, how to structure your site for these pages, how to build links. This is my full SEO method. I have this in a course called Compact Keywords. If you haven't checked [7:25] it out yet, you are going to love it. For the people who have checked it out and who have gotten it, they've loved it. And if that's not you yet, I would encourage you to just go over to compactkeywords.com, give it a quick look. You will like it, I promise. That's my promise to you. I spent a year making it. I constantly update it. I put blood, sweat, and tears into it to make it the best SEO course there is ever that was ever made. And that's [7:47] everything for this episode of the show. This episode 1,104 of the podcast, an extremely tactical one today, and I hope you liked it. 1,104 days in a row doing this podcast, have not missed a single day since starting the show. If you watch this on YouTube, thank you so much for watching. If you listened on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, thank you so much for listening. And I will talk to you again. When am I going to talk to you again? It's going to be tomorrow, and I will talk to you again [8:16] tomorrow.
