# Grok Bot Just Got a Massive Upgrade (It’s Scary Good) Channel: Peter Yang Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hhFOmxEbT0 Duration: 21 min Language: English Words: 3901 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/8hhFOmxEbT0 --- [0:00] Grokbot is my favorite personal agent right now. And it just got better with three X integration, its own email address, and Opus as its default model. In this video, I'm going to show you 10 amazing use cases with these new features, such as this epic rap battle that my bot made capturing the feud between Lauren from the Grokbot team and [0:22] Tibo from ChatGPT. How didn't you know I was referring to dots? It's the only thing you're talking [music] about. I recognize the obsession. What if only can hack the compute? Just put the reset in the bag, bro. What if dots weren't mid? What if bot goes down? Is this why your 28 days are full of nothing burgers? [music] [0:39] Waiting for today's shift. All right, I'll show you how I made that rap battle later in this video. But first, let's cover some super practical use cases starting with being able to tag bot directly on X to get your bot working. Here's a tweet from The New York Times listing the best TV shows of [0:57] the century. Scroll down here, there are over 4,700 replies. So, what I did was I tagged both Grok and bot in the replies asking to recommend the top underrated shows and also talk about which shows are overrated. Let's take a look at Grok first. Grok replied publicly here. And it said that the top underrated shows are Dark, Mr. Robot, Westworld season 1, and so on. And the most overrated shows are Breaking Bad, [1:25] Stranger Things, and more. So, while Grok replies publicly, if we go back here and we take a look at bot, bot says, "I'm sending this to your Grokbot so it can pull out what the responses are asking for." And now let's go over to my Grokbot. Okay, so you can see here that my main bot was triggered by the app bot mention on X and it's following up on my request, right? And here he's replying with a more detailed reply saying these are the most recommended shows: The Sopranos, Dark, Better Call Saul. And these are the most overrated shows, Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, and so [2:00] on. Now, I don't think being able to tag at bot on X is actually good for X itself because no one else can see the replies here. But, I think it's extremely useful for follow-up requests like this. Let's say I didn't watch Mr. Robot before, and I want to add Mr. Robot to my watchlist and taste profile. And Grok Bot is able to go ahead and do that, [2:23] adding to my markdown file here. By the way, if you love movies and TV shows, I highly recommend setting up a taste profile markdown file where you keep track of all your rated movies. So, here's an example. These are all the 10 out of 10 rated TV and movies that I added to my taste profile. This way, I can ask Grok Bot to set up, for example, a weekly job to recommend me new movies and TV shows to watch based on my existing taste. It's just extremely [2:50] helpful. Okay, next, Grok Bot is now the only personal agent that has free access to X. And this is obviously a game-changer because X is where all the AI news breaks, where I made a lot of new friends and connections, and as toxic as this platform is, it's just very useful. Now, there are limits. Grok Bot can only pull from X 1,000 times a day, and each [3:14] time it can only search up to 25 tweets. But, I think for the regular user, these limits are more than enough. Okay, now let's walk through four real use cases that are extremely useful with your X data. The first one is you can ask your bot to do a sentiment analysis on your brand, [3:32] and even compare it with another brand. So, here I asked my X bot to do a sentiment analysis on ChatGPT dots, and here it came up with this image. Let me zoom in here. And you can see that the sentiment overall is slightly negative. But, I didn't stop there. I then asked Grok Bot to make me an interactive website and compare chat.gpt [3:56] sentiment against Grokbot. And let's take a look at what I made. Awesome. So, here is the sentiment comparison between chat.gpt dots and Grok. You can see here that Grokbot is more positive overall in sentiment than chat.gpt dots. But, I was blown away by how robust this dashboard is. So, I can filter down to since dots launched, I can see the net sentiment over time by [4:20] day on X. I can also see uh share voice. It seems like despite a lot of promotion from OpenAI, Grokbot is still by far the highest share voice. And down here, I can see where each platform wins and loses on different criteria. And even down here, I can see for the X tweets that mentioned each product, what are the top tweets? So, for Grokbot, it's the fact that it's now using Opus 5.5. And for chat.gpt dots, [4:47] it's always on agents and GPT-6 Asha. This is like a wealth of information that Grokbot was able to pull from X data in around 10 to 15 minutes. And down here, I can also see the actual posts that it's pulling data from. So, this is pretty incredible, but let's not stop there. The next use case is asking Grokbot to pull data on the performance of my own tweets. And you [5:12] can do this for your own account, too. So, here is a video tweet performance of my account from July to October. I can see impressions and everything else. And here's a handy chart that shows which tweets are getting the most impressions. So, for example, I did a launch post about my new AI Slop Skill that seems to have received the most [5:31] impressions. And down here is a breakdown by format, I by month, and by theme. And again, here is the list of posts that I made. And I can sort it by how many impressions I got and how many video views I got to understand what is doing well and what's is doing well. And you can easily imagine that I can set this up to refresh, let's say, every week and follow up with questions about, "Okay, so what post should I make more of? And what post should I make less [5:56] of?" to help me optimize my own content. So, I just find this stuff super useful. All right, use case three is getting inspiration for YouTube videos to make in my niche. So, here it's pulling from both X data and also a bunch of channels that I'm monitoring on YouTube and it's giving me some like recommendations for videos to make. So, right away it's recommending I make videos about the new Claude dashboards, testing Claude Haiku versus Opus, Claude now works inside Google Docs and so on. Basically, videos that mention [6:27] Claude tend to do well. And down here I was really kind of blown away by this topic matrix. So, what it does is it compares how many channels have made YouTube videos about a topic versus how many X posts about a topic there has been over the last 7 days. I can see here that videos about Claude bot and ChatGPT dots and stuff, a lot of channels are making this stuff, but it's finding opportunities in GPT-6 intelligent UI, Claude Haiku, like this kind of stuff, where there isn't a lot [6:55] of videos yet. So, it's really useful to help me identify gaps for videos to make. And down here is a list of actual outlier videos and if I click any of the links, I can actually go watch the video myself. So, again, you can set up this kind of research report for any kind of trend or market analysis that you want to do and here is combining both X data and also [7:17] YouTube data. Awesome, the last use case that I want to highlight with X is looking at your DMs. You know, if you're like me, you just get a ton of spam DMs, a lot of random people DM you and it's hard to separate the signal from the noise. So, I asked Rabbit, "Can you look at my past 3 days of inbound DMs and is there any interesting things like business [7:40] opportunities and so on and so forth. In this case, it didn't quite do its job, so it said that your DMs are encrypted, so I can tell who is DMing you, like Nate and Sebastian, but I can't actually tell you what the content of the DM is. And down here, I asked it to look at my message requests cuz I also get a lot of DMs from people who I'm not connected with, and it found a bunch of links here, but again, it wasn't able to pull the contents. So, I understand like how the whole privacy and security thing, but I think if the user is asking you to look [8:10] at their DMs, like Grok Bot should be able to do this analysis. So, I think I'm going to give the team some feedback about this. Awesome. So, that was a quick demo of Grok Bot using X data. And again, Grok Bot is the only personal agent that has free access to X data. Everybody else has to use X API, or maybe use browser use to try to figure this out. So, this [8:31] is a big advantage that Grok Bot has. But now, let's move on to the next feature, which is Grok Bot now has its own email. And my pro tip here is that it doesn't actually make sense to call your Grok Bot email after yourself, because the most common use case is you got to think about Grok Bot as kind of an executive assistant, and you want to copy them in, for example, to help you schedule a meeting with a coworker or a friend. And it really doesn't make sense to say, "Hey, let me copy in Peter to find a time for us." So, my advice is naming [9:01] Grok Bot something else, like a virtual assistant name or something, so that you could be like, "Hey, I'm copying Lauren or someone else in." So, speaking of which, I tested this use case. By the way, Zoe is like another bot of mine, but basically, I I tested Zoe emailing me saying, "Hey Peter, are you free to catch up at 3:00 p.m. on [9:18] Monday?" And I added my Grok Bot email into this chain and said, "Grok, can you help us schedule 30 minutes?" And what happened next was that this triggered my email bot to say, "Hey, you're free Monday from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. Your only meeting this afternoon ends at 2:45, so why don't you go ahead and send this reply confirming the time [9:40] with Zoe. Now, my hope is actually that GrokBot automatically schedules the meeting because it recognized that I'm free during that time. But, instead it's asking me to confirm and send the email myself. So, I think there's some room for improvement here. I think true virtual assistant doesn't ask the user for approval each time and just does [9:58] things. But, I think this is still pretty useful. So, if I hit send here, then what's going to happen is GrokBot is going to reply in that email thread. And again, if I hit yes at the invite, it is going to add the invite for me. So, overall, I think this is great. I just wish there was a little bit less prompting from GrokBot to the user and GrokBot [10:18] just handle this stuff automatically. But, honestly, I think the real unlock with GrokBot having its own email is that it can now proactively send me the schedule reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. So, let me show you some examples of reports that I have my GrokBot send me. On the left is a report with a overview [10:39] about my business and how it's doing. You know, recently I launched a new personal AI course. Seems to be doing well. Here's how my funnel is doing. Here's how my YouTube is doing. And finally, some other information about my revenue and expenses. And it's able to send this report on the left because I connected GrokBot to my YouTube data, to Mercury, my bank, and also to my website [11:02] and course metrics. So, this is just like super useful to keep me on track of how my business is doing and what are levers I should pull to grow my business. In the middle here is a report that's a weekend activities report. What it does is it analyzes local blogs and event websites and it recommends a list of activities for me and my family to do on the upcoming weekend. I find it super useful just to make sure that I'm [11:27] spending quality time with my kids. And on the right is a health report that I have my Grokbot send me based on data from my smart scale and also from a fitness app that I have vibe coded. So, it keeps track of my workouts and how my weight is shifting. These are some of the most insightful emails that I get about my business and life and I highly [11:49] recommend that you do the same. Actually, let me quickly show you how this stuff works. Okay, so I have a weekend planner bot that sends me the weekend fun report. You can see that there is a report that runs every Friday at 7:00 a.m. And it also sends me the stuff in chat here, too. And the reason I like email is because I tend to read my emails more [12:09] than all these different chat threads. But let's scroll down here and let's see how this report works. Okay, so here is the actual prompt that drives the report. You can see here that it has specifications about what the title is, how to find activities nearby. Here's the nearby towns that I visit. And also in the same report, it sends me a list of movies and TV shows to watch based on the taste profile that I [12:31] mentioned earlier. But of course, I didn't actually write this prompt from scratch. I worked with my weekend planner bot to come up with this and to iterate on it until it got to something that I really liked. So, I recently just added a new report to my Grokbot called market research and here it's looking at both X data and YouTube data, the same dashboard that you saw earlier, but instead it's [12:54] sending to me as an email. And the brilliant thing about all this is that I can actually just reply to this email and tag Grokbot to tell it to start doing work. Okay, so what I did was I added my Grokbot email and I asked it to draft a linear ticket with the hook outline for the ChatGPT intelligence video idea and draft it in linear, which I use to [13:18] manage all my video scripts. And lo and behold, when I go to linear, you can see that my Grokbot has drafted the GPT-6 intelligent UI video. There's a hook, there's an outline, and everything else based on the research that I did. Now, of course, I'm not just going to make this video. I have to do a manual pass and make sure this is a good idea, but you can see how this saves me [13:39] just a ton of time. So, another thing that I really love about Grokbot is that you can actually add multiple bots to the same chat thread, which I don't think ChatGPT does or Muse or any of the other alternatives can do. So, for example, here I added my YouTube producer and my advisor bot to the same chat thread, and both were sending me emails that were a little bit duplicative that had YouTube market research information. So, I asked them like, "Hey, can we consolidate this stuff into one report?" And they went back and forth on it, and YouTube producer eventually suggested, "Hey, you can either split the reports cleanly and [14:14] get two reports, or you can consolidate, get a short market read on Friday, and you can keep everything in one Friday email." And then, we went back and forth before the two bots decided to send me a separate market research email that I shared with you up here. So, quick plug, if you want the prompts to set up all these proactive workflows for yourself, either in Grokbot or another AI tool, check out behindthecraft.com, where I have a full course that walks through how to set up each workflow on [14:48] the left here. That's behindthecraft.com. Okay, the next feature I want to walk through is probably the most important one, which is that Grokbot now defaults to the best model in the market, and right now that is Opus from Anthropic. So, previously, Grokbot was using Grok 4.7 as a default, and the Grok models aren't necessarily bad, but they're nowhere near as smart as Opus. My friend Matt Van Horn actually did an intelligence test, and previously, Grokbot was actually not super high in [15:20] intelligence. But, the upgrade to Opus make GrokBot number one in intelligence, as you can see from Matt's latest test. All right, so let me return to the rap battle video and how I made it in GrokBot. If you know Opus, you know that it's incredible at making motion graphics and editing videos. So, basically, I asked my GrokBot, "I want you to look at the feud between Lauren, whose handle is potato, and Tibo from ChatGPT, and make an incredible, hard-hitting 30-to-60-second video of their feud. And here's some links to their best tweets [15:57] back and forth. And also add some music, too." And then GrokBot with Opus got to work. I asked it to use Suno. You can check it out at suno.com. It's another awesome AI tool for making music for free to make the actual rap lyrics at the battle. And you can see down here that GrokBot got to work. It even made an image of [16:18] GrokBot and dots fighting each other. And it also wrote the lyrics here for me to review. I then suggested that it show profiles of Lauren and Tibo themselves. And there was a bunch of iteration on actually the music, making sure that Lauren was a female voice and that Tibo was a male voice rapping against each [16:37] other. But basically, thanks to Opus, it didn't take too long before GrokBot produced this pretty awesome rap battle here. Unfortunately, potato and Tibo have since made up. They're no longer fighting with each other. But thanks to videos like this and more, their feud will always be remembered on X. Okay, I want to close by sharing a real bot that I'm using to perform a job that saves me at least a couple hours every week. So, I have a Slack community with other AI builders and we trade notes and everything. And you can get into the [17:11] community again at behindthecraft.com. But basically, I have a behind the growth bot that does customer support for the community. So, the job of this bot is to support my behind the craft community. It handles refunds, cancellations, billing questions, and also making sure that only paid users are in my Slack. And every day I have it run a daily support sweep of my Slack and look at member requests and try to process as much of it as it can by itself. I have it automatically process refunds and disputes, figure out email mismatches, [17:47] and so on. And here's a quick example of something that it proactively handled for me. So, someone sent me email asking for a lifetime plan. And right now I only have annual plans. So, it proactively drafted this email saying that, "Hey, we don't have lifetime plans, but I'll put it under consideration." And it asked me if [18:05] I want to send this reply or not. And this comes down to the crux of why I really like Rock bot. It's a really polished piece of software, but because it's based on bots and personas instead of chat threads, it really does feel like hiring employees to work for you, and each employee takes care of a specific job like customer support for behind the growth, YouTube research and prep for YouTube producer, helping my wife buy stuff and book family stuff with loving husband, weekly planner planning trips and stuff, and keeping my health on track as health [18:38] coach. So, these bots instead of random chat threads just feel like organized employees or helpers to make my life easier. All right, so let's do a quick recap. Here are the use cases that we covered. Number one, tagging bot on X triggers it to work inside Rock bot to do some analysis for you from any kind of X [19:00] tweet or X reply. Number two, now that Rock bot has free access to X data, you can do all kinds of awesome things like sentiment analysis for your brand or product, analysis of your own tweets to figure out which ones go viral and why, getting YouTube ideas by combining X data with YouTube data, and potentially down the line also [19:21] analyzing and responding to your DMs. Number three, Grok Bot now has email, so you can copy it in an email thread for it to schedule a meeting for you or do some research. And as I mentioned, what I find really useful is having it pull data from multiple sources and send me a bunch of email or reports that are just super insightful and actionable. Number four, you can also add multiple Grok Bots to the same chat thread, which is a unique feature of this product, and have them banter and figure out things, like for example, consolidating how many YouTube [19:54] research emails I get. And finally, as I mentioned, Grok Bot is now powered by Opus by default. You know, I've been wondering when Anthropic will launch its own Grok Bot competitor, but for now, Grok Bot is the best place to use Anthropic's models. And last but not least, we walk through a real use case where I build a bot to provide customer support for my paid community, and you can do something very [20:20] similar as well. Okay, so that's it. I always want to give you guys the real deal, and for now, Grok Bot legitimately is my favorite personal agent. I think it's more reliable and cleaner than ChatGPT does, and it's also more powerful than Muse with Opus. So, definitely give Grok Bot a try, and as always, please like and subscribe for more practical no-nonsense tutorials [20:43] like this.
