# What's new in Grok Bot - Oct 27, 2026 Channel: Matt Palmer Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Edjn34IuzQ Duration: 8 min Language: English - English Words: 1550 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/3Edjn34IuzQ --- [0:00] Hey, it's Matt. We're talking about what's new in Grok Bot, but if you haven't noticed, there's a bit of a nip in the air. I got the flannel on. It's the week of Halloween. It's fall. It's spooky season, and we have a fall-themed update, so stick around, stay tuned. But what's new? Well, off the bat, we now have pages in Grok Bot. [0:16] Well, what are pages, you might be asking? So if you ask Grok Bot to maybe do some data analysis, help you visualize some trends, understand some concepts, Grok Bot will create a page for you. And the page has a visual representation of data. It might have a way of telling a story. It's really cool, and it's a way that you can visualize information and share it [0:34] with others. Now, you can share this information with your team, with your company, with really the world, or you can just keep it to yourself. That's cool, too. And I've been using pages for things like visualizing my posting activity on X, figuring out the best time to post, visualizing my training routine, visualizing sales in Q3. Well, not really, but that's a good business use case that you could use pages for [0:56] if you're into that sort of thing. I've really been enjoying them. And for our Cursor power users out there, you might remember Cursor canvases, still a really awesome feature. Page is heavily inspired by Cursor canvases, so give that a shot. Second, we have a vault in Grok Bot. So now, you might have seen one of your bots say, hey, do you want to save maybe [1:15] your personal information in our vault? What's a vault? Well, you can think about it just like a password manager. Actually, it's exactly that, it's a password manager. So, Grok Bot can now store your passwords for you, and other sensitive information, addresses, contact info, social security numbers, you know, if you're into that sort of thing, obviously we want to be careful with [1:35] the information that we're storing anywhere. However, the cool thing about vault in Grok Bot is that the bot doesn't have access to the information, it's encrypted. So the way the vault works is Grok Bot stores this information. You type the information in, it gets encrypted in the vault. Then Bot actually can't see it when it's filling that information in [1:55] on web pages. So from the vault to the web page entered securely. Really cool. That's something we're going to keep expanding upon. We've seen a ton of positive feedback around the vault. Speaking of which, we have a better 1Password integration. Last week, 1Password announced just much better agent integration support. So we've been working closely with their team to improve the 1Password experience [2:17] in Grok Bot. So you'll want to give that a look. Now, what else? We've made a bunch of improvements to Bot on iPhone. So you might have seen, last week when I talked about the action button on iPhone, and also being able to remap bot to the default assistant on Android. This week, we announced integration with Apple Home, reminders, [2:40] location, where are you, contacts, alarms, and calendar. So, now you can use the Grok Bot you know and love with any of those services. What does that mean? It means you can do something like, hey, every day at 5 AM, maybe not 5 AM, every day at 5 PM, check and see if the lights are on in my house, and if they are, if your lights are connected to Apple HomeKit, you know, turn them [3:01] off. You can do things like that. You could say, hey, Grok Bot, what are some good restaurants around me? Because it has access to your location through Apple services, it should be able to, to look those restaurants up. So, a lot of possibilities starting to be unlocked through accessing this Apple ecosystem. That's something you're gonna want to check out. [3:18] That's something that I've really been enjoying. Next one, Bot can now make you some videos. So, if you send a message to Grok Bot, you're like, hey, make me a video of this thing. We're going to be able to use the Imagine series of models, shout out SpaceXSI model team, to make you some video. [3:35] So that's pretty cool. You might even try generating a video of a man walking down the street and talking about what's new in Grok Bot. Then I might be out of a job. I don't know. I feel like they're, they're coming for me these days. What else? We got some new bot characters, and here's your fall shout out. [3:51] There is a pumpkin bot. Both on X, if you talk about bot this week, you hit the like button, it'll be a pumpkin. But also in the Grok Bot app, we got a pumpkin bot rolling out. It's, it's, I'm calling it pumpkin spice bot. I'll give a shout out to the first person that comments on this and shares their [4:09] pumpkin spice bot. I'm, you know, I'm a sucker for some pumpkin spice. What can I say? Now we got more X improvements. Last week I talked about some X Chat integrations with a bot. This week I'm talking about X Spaces integrations. So your bot can help you manage your X Spaces and create lists, give that a look at, [4:26] shout out Paul Van for all the amazing Bot X integration work. We also have a bit of a mobile refresh. The design team, they just keep shipping. Shout out Jenny Wen, shout out Benji Taylor, shout out John Bai, shout out all the amazing designers, shout out Ricky, all the amazing designers. There's a new typeface, both in the Android and iOS app. [4:46] I'm a sucker for a good font. I love a good font. But you'll also notice more design polish. Generally, the team keeps shipping. Speaking of design polish, we have a simpler right pane. Just, again, some nice design work going on in Grok Bot. And also, we have better reconnect cards. So if you get signed out of one of your apps, if you need to log back in, we're [5:08] going to do a better job of surfacing that information for you. Now I'm going to hit you with rapid fire mode. We have sub-agents able to make images and video. What does that mean? If you ask your bot to generate some images or video, your bot's just going to keep cranking and it's going to dispatch little workers to go make that video and images [5:24] for you. We have pinned in the library. If you didn't know, your bot has a library. You can view it by tapping the bot, opening up that right-hand menu. And in that library, there's a bunch of media that your bot shared with you. You can now pin those items so you can easily access the media that you want to save [5:40] or want to reuse later. Email forwards keep their formatting, so recently we added email forwarding in bot. Now those forwards keep formatting. Kind of a tongue twister there. Also, I gotta be careful when I'm walking across the street, you know, you just gotta look both ways. That's what you need to do. We've heard some feedback that bot has a lot of approvals. [6:00] There are a lot of approval cards out there. So now there are a little bit fewer approval cards. And we still have the really great security architecture in bot that is going to review sensitive actions. There's just fewer actions to review because we're being smarter about what needs to be approved. For my text formatting folks out there, you can now use the greater than symbol [6:17] to enter block quotes in the chat. Nice little markdown inspired text formatting. There is a command slash shortcut in bot that will show you all the shortcuts. So if you want to know all the shortcuts available in the bot app, command slash. We have more notification improvements. So if bot needs to ask you a question, you're actually at your desk. it'll hold off in sending a notification on your mobile phone, [6:42] for a few minutes. Think about it like less noise in notifications. And then finally, we have word to Google Docs. So if you Send a docx, D O C X file through to Grok Bot, it'll be able to convert that to the Google Drive, Google Doc equivalent for you in your Google account. And I just crossed another rather busy street. [7:06] We're wandering around, it's Saturday afternoon. It's kind of sunset, it's golden hour, the lighting pretty good in this video. That's another busy, busy week of what's new in Grok Bot. The entire team has been cooking for the past few weeks, and we're really excited for what's coming down the pike. I think there's a lot of really interesting improvements, more Apple integrations coming, more, [7:28] shared team functionality coming. I'm really stoked. But I'm Matt with SpaceXSI, and this is another, another episode of What's New in Grok Bot. Happy spooky season, enjoy your pumpkin spice lattes, and I'll catch you next time.
