# You Have 5 Years to Get Rich Before AI Takes Over Channel: Mark Tilbury Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uyhavEACdo Duration: 11 min Language: English (United States) Words: 2171 Transcript page: https://viewrankai.com/tools/youtube-transcript/2uyhavEACdo --- [0:00] I'm really worried. You only have 5 years left to get rich. You see, the gap between the rich and the poor is growing and every year you wait, it gets harder and harder to close. Over the next 5 years, the people that have money and assets will continue to get richer, but those that haven't accumulated any could find themselves stuck in the same economic position [0:21] forever, effectively frozen in time. That's exactly why I had to make this video. You'll notice there's no polish editing or fancy props today. That's because this subject is an emergency warning and I need to get this video out fast. Look, I'm an old man. I've seen many transformational shifts throughout my lifetime that have [0:41] completely changed the way money gets made. Every time there was a shift, people had to adapt and those who didn't got left behind. But here's the thing, none of those shifts ended up replacing humans themselves. However, now, for the first time in my lifetime, I've started to question whether that will still be true because we're seeing the biggest technological shift I've ever [1:03] witnessed, which is of course AI. So that brings me back to why do you only have 5 years left to get rich? [1:14] Every job and business exists because there's a problem that needs solving. Think about it, a company needs somebody to answer its phone so it hires a receptionist. It needs somebody to hire a salesperson. It needs somebody to manage the finances, edit promotional videos or design packaging. There's a problem that needs solving and a human gets paid to solve it. Now for most normal people, the problem they've traditionally [1:39] solved has been through their job. You might not own property or a company or have stocks and millions sitting in the bank, but you could always sell your time, knowledge and skills. And that was a way of moving up the ranks and getting But it wasn't always like that. For most of human history, if you were born into a wealthy family that owned land and assets, [1:58] you'd almost certainly remain wealthy. And if you were born poor, there was a good chance you'd stay poor. That's because the people at the top owned the assets and the people at the bottom worked for them. The only way to cross the divide was to marry up, and even then they'd look down on you for it. Them businesses and the free market knocked a wall and every shift I talked about earlier knocked it down a bit further until social media finally [2:24] smashed it into smithereens. But the more I think about it, the more I feel like AI could start pushing us in the opposite direction. You see, if people get paid to solve problems, what happens when AI starts solving those problems instead? What happens when a company no longer needs five people to do a job because an AI agent can do all the [2:43] work itself? Those problems don't disappear, but far fewer humans get paid to solve them. And if the main thing you own is your ability to sell your time, but the value of that time starts falling, building wealth becomes a lot harder. Meanwhile, the person who already owns the company gets the opposite. Their costs drop, their output goes up, [3:02] and they keep the difference. And that's the part that worries me. Because those walls that block any movement from poor to rich could slowly start being rebuilt. And when that happens, you end up stuck on whichever side of the wall you happen to be on at that time. Look, I started this YouTube channel to help people build wealth from scratch, just like I did, as I believe that anyone who learns the skills of a millionaire can become [3:26] a millionaire. That's why I'm so worried, because AI is attacking my whole reason for making videos in the first place. And this isn't just theory anymore. We're already starting to see the warning signs. Nobody wants to hear this, but the entry level jobs that used to be the first step on the ladder are the first ones [3:46] disappearing. And I'm not talking about some far off prediction here. Anthropic, one of the big AI companies, looked at how Claude was actually being used out in the real world. They found that Claude is now being used for at least a quarter of all tasks in roughly Half of all jobs. Just a year earlier, [4:03] it was only around a third of jobs. And remember, that's just Claude. It doesn't even include ChatGPT or any other AI tools people are using. And this is where it gets uncomfortable. Stanford have been looking at actual payroll records covering millions of workers and they found that employment among 22 to 25-year-olds in the jobs most exposed to AI is now about 19% below where it would have been if they kept pace with young workers [4:29] in less exposed jobs. In addition to this, older, more experienced workers in those highly exposed jobs don't show the same gap. So think about what that actually means. The people already inside and making loads of money are largely holding on to their jobs, well, at least for now, but fewer new places are opening up [4:48] underneath them. And if you just looked at the overall job market, you might miss it because that same Stanford study found no evidence of widespread job displacement across the economy, which is exactly why hardly anybody is doing anything about it. And while all of that's going on, something else has been happening in the background. In America, the share of business profits that actually goes back to the workers in a payslip has fallen to 52.8%, the lowest level since records [5:17] began in 1947. Now that decline started long before AI came along, so I'm not pretending AI caused it, but if businesses can produce more with fewer people, you can see why this matters. More output, fewer people needed to produce it. Who do you think gets the difference? The people who already own the businesses and wealth. Now with this five year theory, and remember, it is just a theory, nobody actually knows how long it's [5:43] going to be. I mean, I'm not some kind of time traveler, but what I do know is that right now, most people seem to be doing one of two things. They're either assuming they're going to be absolutely fine, or they're panicking and running around like a headless chicken. Neither is particularly useful. But if you play the next few months right, you can put yourself in a very [6:03] good position to be one of the winners. [6:09] Whenever there's a massive shift like this, fortunes get made. As I've said, I've seen it happen over and over again. With computers, the internet and social media, there were always people who ignored what was happening, people who were scared of it, and people who realized quite quickly that things had changed. Those are always the people [6:28] that do well. I remember when the internet started becoming popular, I set up an online store for one of my businesses selling remote control models, while most people in my industry were still focused on opening more physical shops. A lot of people laughed at it. They thought online shopping was a fad and that nobody would ever trust [6:45] buying things over the internet. But I didn't sit there arguing about it, I just changed the way I was doing business. And because I moved early, it gave me an edge, while everyone else was still doing things the old way. It was the same story when I started sharing advice on social media. All my friends down the golf club just [7:03] didn't understand. They thought TikTok was just a dancing app, but I saw the opportunity. And just a few years later, I became the most followed personal finance creator in the world. And I think AI will be the Over the last few months, I've been trying out lots of AI side hustles, and I've actually been shocked at what [7:21] it can do. The opportunities to make real income are there to be taken. Meanwhile, a lot of people are going to spend the next few years arguing about whether it's overhyped, whether it's dangerous, or whether it's going to take their job. The smart people, however, will just face the facts and work out how to use it to their [7:38] advantage, while AI still needs human input. And that brings me on to this morning, a conversation with a young man made me realize I can't stay quiet about this any longer. He's an investor and advisor to a multi-billion dollar AI company. So he has a rare and unique insight. into where the industry is heading over the next few months and the things he shared with me have been [8:05] truly eye-opening. Do you know what, Kai, is he still here? [8:11] I was actually saying you've been behind the scenes of some of these AI companies who are actually shaping the future of the industry. I've actually been at our offices and seen stuff that I know the public won't see until 2027 and it's exciting, scary at times, like it's... What are you actually seeing people do? Look, there's big businesses using AI, but for me, what gets me more excited is seeing the solopreneur, the person who's trying to start a [8:36] one-person business or a side hustle. And what it's allowed them to do is just level the playing field. When you have the right specialized AI tools, you basically have all these employees in your pocket. And look, I don't need to tell you this, you started in business 40 years ago, you have four times the [8:49] experience than I do. And when you started in business, it was substantially harder than when I started in business. And what's so exciting is now I'm seeing people start with their businesses and have competitive advantages that I didn't have 10 years ago when I started. So I think every year, as these tools get stronger and stronger, as long as you're not late to the curve, and as long as you come into it with an open mind, truly, I think there's just no excuses [9:09] left for anyone. I mean, look, just the amount of people that have come to the event, and especially the ones that have applied what we taught, and how much they've actually generated and tracked earnings has just been mind-blowing to me. What sort of results are you seeing? The first time I ran an event, the people who attended and applied what I taught generated $8.9 USD million in tracked earnings in a [9:26] 90-day time frame. And then we went back to our drawing board, changed some things. Second time, it was $15 USD million. Third time, it was $31.7 USD million. And then in aggregate, those individuals have done over 100 million tracks since then. To me, it sounds a bit unrealistic. Well, I'm co-owner of WAPP, and a lot of these businesses actually [9:43] run their entire infrastructure on WAPP. So I can see all the sales data, and we can track this stuff. Now, I want to be upfront. Of course, that doesn't mean that every single person made money who attended the event. But in aggregate, that's the data that we have. I've actually just started sort of preparing my notes and presentations [9:57] for the next one coming up in November. But I have taken as much as I've seen with my own two eyes, and I've put it into our next event. And actually, I was talking about it with the team. And considering your knowledge on the matter and your audience, you know, I know you're a busy man, [10:12] but I'd love to have you. I mean, you have four times the business experience than I do. You know, I've been in business for 10 years. You've been in business for 40 years. You've been in business in so many different sectors. I find myself pulling out my phone and taking notes every time we talk because there's so much that I learn [10:23] from you and take from you. So I just think if we were to come together, it'd be such a cool union. You know what I mean? Obviously, it's got to be free. It's for free. Don't worry. I'd love to maybe even off camera show you a little bit more of our case studies and results. And, you know, if that's something you feel comfortable with, then I know the audience would really [10:40] love that. I will give it some thought. If you can send me the link, if I decide to do it, I'll stick the link in the description.
